We inherited this vehicle does not have 4-wheel drive or 3rd row seating

2004 Dodge Durango ST

The performance is typical for a midsize SUV, with the ride being someone smooth but not as smooth as a luxury car. This particular Durango does not have 4-wheel drive feature which most of my previous SUVs have had. Since I lived in the Midwest four-wheel drive is hopeful in the snow all them at the ice. This particular vehicle was given to us when my husband's father passed away so it does not specifically have all the features that we might have chosen. It is pretty basic. One of the features of a previously owned Durango, that this does not have, is 3rd row seating. I found this very convenient since my son plays hockey and often had to haul several players plus their large bags of gear. If I were to buy to my specifications I would insist on the 3rd row

Decent vehicle with one annoying issue

2004 Dodge Durango ST

This model of car has some kind of defect where the check engine light will come on and stay on even if there is nothing wrong with the engine, and you have to perform a special trick to get it to turn off. This makes it extremely difficult when it comes to passing inspection every year, because you cannot get a sticker and pass inspection if the check engine light is on. The car does well in the snow, although I've skidded a few times due to being inexperienced in the snow. Otherwise it drives very smoothly and gets me to where I need to go. I drive up to 200 miles a week and need to fill my tank once a week, which isn't bad considering.

Great family car that's been through 2 cross country moves and still works great!

2004 Dodge Durango ST

The Dodge Durango is a great family car. It has a third row that has plenty of room to put children with car seats. As a family of 5 we can easily fit in the car. There is also a good amount of space for storage in the back of the Durango. I love the keyless start and the interior design is very pleasing. It drives smoothly and we have only had normal maintenance to perform on the vehicle. There have been a few recalls on the SUV but it was easy to take it to a dealership and they have been fixed in a timely manner causing no other issues. Overall we love this vehicle and would buy one again.

04 Durango! Good driving vehicle

2004 Dodge Durango ST

My Durango runs well but I have had some issues with my radio not working consistently. Some days it turns on and works fine while others I get no sound. When I first purchased it I had a few issues with batteries not holding charges. I had to go through about 4 different batteries in the span of about 2 years but finally got a good one. Other than those issues I haven't really had any problems with my Durango.

Spacious and comfortable. Can hold a lot of items in the rear

2004 Dodge Durango ST

feels too big. Sometimes hard to see over the hood of the car. The car feels too long and the dash feels long so if you are a short person it can be difficult to fully see everything around you. It wide and hard to park or pull out of the parking spot. Overall its comfortable, the rear is large and spacious. Can store a lot of items

Has minor problems but overall great vehicle!

2004 Dodge Durango ST

Has minimal issues. Actually a really great vehicle! Has an issue with AWD the front wheels won't engage so you have to drive it in 4 High. Other than that and the fact that it needs the A/C recharged it's a great vehicle. It has great heat though and heated seats as well.

Better visual of the road.

2004 Dodge Durango ST

I personally love my dodge Durango, because when I drive it I have a better visual of the road, it is a smooth ride, easy to handle. I have always had issues seeing different things on the road when I drive a car, but being in my Durango those issues have been eliminated.

It is spacious and has lots of room. It is good for a family.

2004 Dodge Durango ST

The vehicle is very reliable and if you keep it up to date it works for a long time. The problems that would happen is where the speeding lines are the main line will sometimes mess up. Also the battery will slowly start to go out but it takes a lot for it to do so.
