Durable and dependable for a vehicle of its age.
Its extremely comfortable to me. Sit up and straight and able to see out of all the windows. Able to haul multiple items in the back and has room in the back seat for a normal person's legs. Good on gas mileage and has 4WD. Only one of the vehicles I have had that I really do not every want to trade it in or hope that it dies.

Cannot make an old car do new things.
Shuts down while turning/ switching lanes. I have to kick a certain part of the car to get the ac on. There’s not much else I love the car. The seats are comfy they move smooth. It is not squeaky. Doors are heavy so when you slam them shut it makes a loud noise.

My dodge can seat 8 passengers
I love that my vehicle rarely breaks down very reliable..

Reliable transportation to have.
The car is reliable, runs well, good on gas and a safe car to drive. I would recommend doge to anyone looking to get a new car I eventually would love to get the new doge next one hopefully with a CD player. Doge is a good brand 5 star rating always would go with a Durango.

This vehicle is comfortable!
My vehicle is comfortable. It handles nicely. It rides smoothly. One of the features, is that it has Sirius/XM radio which I love. The only problem with it is that the body has been rusting for the past couple of years. It has rusted so bad that a corner piece of the driver side door fell off.

Which car to buy the dodge or the forester.
Bought it second hand and lasted a long time. Great to drive in the snow. Feel very comfortable and safe. Easy to drive. Well built SUV. I may want to buy another one. Have been thinking of a Subaru forester tho. A little more easy on the gas. Just depends where I get a better deal.
accountCircle Sharon G
This car is not fancy but does its job by being good on gas.
It is roomy and quite comfortable. I do not like that the engine does not have a lot of oomph for an 8 cylinder.
accountCircle Nicole
Reliable and comfortable
Ive had this vehicle for goong on 9 yrs. Overall its been a great experience to drive. Ive had to replace the fuel pump, water pump and throttle control sensor problems. I used to buy Used tires when they went out and the sizes werent also right. Then a shop told me thats why my shocks went bad. Mine desperately need to be changed. Other than that ive kept up with full synthetic oil changes and other regular maintenance.

Great car but had a couple costly repairs.
Had to replace the engine twice in the vehicle. First time when it was 8 years old and again a year later. Other than that no major issues with it.
accountCircle Jackie H
Dodge only makes good sports/muscle and specialty cars their regular line up is terrible and has too many issues.
I dislike it too many problems. I will always be a Ford Girl and I prefer pickup trucks (diesel)
accountCircle Michele W
It's a vehicle, has 4 wheels and runs
I don't care about my vehicle. It has 4 wheels and it goes. I have no further input. It's blue. It has a radio, and three rows of seats that can fit 7 people. The back rows go down to make it a flat area to transport things if you move. It can take regular gas or ethanol
accountCircle Ryu D
It is reliable mostly. It looks nice
It has some problems like its tires are giving out. It needs a lot of work on different parts like I said it need a lot of work it tires need to be replaced and other small things. It is comfortable and small and compact with a extra row of seats that fold up in the back
accountCircle Dennis M
That it is not as much of a gas hog as you would think.
The Dodge Durango is a great truck at toys our boat wonderfully. The motor is a hemi and it is a very powerful motor. The major issues that I have with the Dodge Durango is that it is rusty the door jambs are rusted all the way through. Besides that the Durango is a good running vehicle.

Dodge Durango- do not expect gas to be cheap.
When we bought this vehicle we needed one that was large enough for our family and traveling comfortably. Over the years it is need for space has declined. The gas mileage is awful (about 15 mpg on highway, city driving is worse). The body is starting to rust and have significant issues.
accountCircle Carly m
We have a love-hate relationship with our Durango!
We love that it fits our large family of 6. But, because we are a large family we have to use the back seat for kiddos. That means we have very little cargo room, and we hate that! We have to use a roof bag to pack all our luggage for big trips. The shocks also seem to wear out super fast. But, even without 4wheel drive though, it handles bad weather great!
accountCircle Megan N
Great winter car, not great as daily driver
I use this as my daily driver. Although I love all the space that comes with a full size SUV the gas mileage is a tough pill to swallow. The Durango gets roughly 13 miles per gallon which is not ideal when you commute with it everyday. The Durango would do well as a weekend car for family trips. The third row seating provides comfort for all and still leaves room for gear. The Durango is amazing in the snow and winter weather. Living in New England I need a car that could handle well in the snow and this car completely deliveries. I don't have to worry about impending snow store anymore which is a huge relief.

The car will never fail you.
I like that it is roomy and has 3 rows of seats. It drives very smooth and have had very little maintenance. The sensors sometimes have issues. Over all, I really like it.

The Hemi engine is my favorite detail.
I've had my Dodge Durango for over 3 years. It has proven to be a very sturdy and reliable vehicle. I have the 5.7L Hemi engine, and like it. A big major downfall for this vehicle, is that it is a gas guzzler. It has cloth seats and comfortable. I live in Buffalo, New York, where we have winter 8 months out the year, and the Durango has gotten me through vast parts of upstate New York.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Gail P.

It runs smooth and quiet for a full sized SUV Truck. It has step up for easy entry. The heat and air really put out in really hot or cold weather. It does not take a long time to heat up or cool down. It runs well and has not required other than normal maintenance and is 12 years old. Other than a few minor inconspicuous rust spots on the hood, the body paint looks great! It is extremely durable. It has the ability to pull a small camper. The sound system is great quality. The factory rims are nice. It is roomy in both the front and back. It is 4 wheel drive. It can get up speed quickly for a large vehicle. The gas mileage is great on the highway. It has a huge amount of storage space in back. It comes with a full size spare. It brakes well. It has front and rear wipers. It starts no problem in freezing weather. The anti skid works really well in icy conditions. It has great steering.

likeFilled Julie F.

The pros are it is roomy, it looks sporty but yet conservative, has enough power for the young at heart but a smooth ride for the older. The 3rd row seating makes it enough for a good sz family but can be tucked away for space for a getaway. There's really no cons but if I had to give one. It would have to be it does take a lot of fuel an a lot to fill up.

likeFilled Jessica B.

Lots of room, has a third row seat. Air control for the back and a normal plugin for charging games or phones on the go. Get good mileage, never had any problems out of it. Seats in back all fold down if you need to haul something big. Light indicates that let you know your tires are low in air.

likeFilled Leah E.

4 wheel drive, all wheel drive, optional 3 row seating, traction control, personalized settings, tinted windows, tow hitch package, anti lock brakes, fuel flex, air bags, surround sound, power locks and power windows, keyless entry,

likeFilled Samantha M.

It is built like a tank. I have been in two accidents in it and have walked away without totalling it. I have had few mechanical issues even though I have owned it for six years. The ac has been repaired and a battery has been replaced.

likeFilled Kelli K.

I love it is fits what we need it for. Its roomy drives great. The only thing is it has to be warmed up before driving. That is the only con I have found. It also is a safe and not too bad on gas. I would recommend it to anyone.

likeFilled Christian P.

It handles incredibly well. Turning is a breeze on that thing! It does not eat up too much gas either. The trunk has an incredible amount of storage, and the folding back seats make it super easy to haul furniture and other large items.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Gail P.

The inside of the doors will rust significantly at the bottom because; they're not sealed properly. One of the indicator lights goes on and off because of a sensor issue. The doors are really heavy. It gets poor city mileage. The material on the outside and inside of the cloth stains easily including from the water. The truck design creates a huge blind spot of the curb for turning.

dislikeFilled Julie F.

There really are not any cons to my vehicle that I could really think of, it could be a little more fuel economic, but with a bigger vehicle you are going to use a lot of gas. So with that being the only thing, it is really a very good vehicle and I would recommend it to anyone that ask.

dislikeFilled Jessica B.

There is no trunk space when the third row is up. Is not good when you have a large family going on vacation. You have no room for luggage. Other than that I have no cons, I do not like my seats they stain very easily.

dislikeFilled Leah E.

Gas mileage in town 14 miles per gallon highway miles it goes up to 19 miles per gallon, it is cloth interior, as opposed to leather, it does not have sunroof. It is expensive to have tires replaced,

dislikeFilled Samantha M.

The back seat is too small for car seats next to each other or for two car seats on the sides and somebody in the middle. The leather is cracking. The backseat does not have a lot of legroom. The ac does not circulate well.

dislikeFilled Kelli K.

The only con I can have been able to find is that about 15 mins to 20 mins before leaving it was to be crunk up to warm up before it can driven. That is the only con that I can find with my dodge. I would recommend it to anyone.

dislikeFilled Christian P.

Sometimes this vehicle will accelerate a bit quicker than you might think, so it is important to test drive it to see if it is the right fit. Also, since it is an older vehicle, it does not come with a lot of the nicer features (GPS, Wi-Fi, streaming music) that consumers might want.
