2008 Dodge Grand Caravan Expert Review
After 10 years, some electrical issues, but engine works great.
I feel it is comfortable to sit in, enjoy the seat warmers, the dual ac/heat regulators and our manufactured television has been great for the kids to watch movies on long trips. Our vehicle is hitting 10 years old and we have had some electrical issues. A wire broke to open the left side automatic door, but it could still be manually opened. We had it repaired. The automatic hinge for the back hatch door had also broken from wear and was re-welded and broke again, but still can be manually opened and closed. It has never left me stranded and it gets regular engine upgrades, oil changes, tires changes and tune-ups.
Family friendly reliable minivan.
I love the stow away seats, this allows me to have plenty of room for hauling large items like a sheet of plywood, bikes and lots of boxes that saves me from renting a truck. Two features on this model I am not happy with is the middle windows do not go down for the people in the back to get air, and there are no air conditioning/heat vents so you have to rely on the front vents to cool or heat vehicle. Over all this is a very good vehicle for a family plenty of room and so far reliable, I have 120, 000 miles on it and still going.
The grand caravan is a live, work and play dream come true.
My grand caravan has the stow and go seat option which is great. I am a weekend musician and I can move a lot of equipment in it. I bought the van used and have had very little problems with it over the last 3 years. The automatic sliding doors are a bit hit or miss, but it is not a major concern. It is reliable, comfortable, and easy to drive for a fairly large vehicle. Gas mileage is acceptable. Great sounding stereo and very comfortable seats.
