Nice, roomy vehicle that suits my large family well.
The vehicle is comfortable and reliable. The size of tires are not available in very durable options so if you drive a rough road this vehicle is not for you. There is a lot of space for passengers and cargo in the back. The stow and go feature is very nice.

Do not buy dodge, they do not stand behind their vehicles.
The transmission needed to be replaced with only 28k miles. Even though it was 7 yrs old, use, not time kills a transmission and dodge wouldn't take any responsibility. Had to replace an engine mount within the first couple of years and the first time I actually used the vehicle, the a/c went out. It handles fine and mileage, 18-20 mpg is much better than my full sized van, but I will never own a dodge again.

My favorite detail of the van is the storage compartment on the floor.
I really love how spacious the vehicle is. All the children fit very comfortability and there is plenty of room for bag, suitcases and strollers also. Going in vacation is no longer an issue because of how dependable the vehicle is. It is amazing how smooth the van drives!

I love my dodge grand caravan minivan!
The only problems I have had with my vehicle is the air conditioning quits on me every year and I have to get it fixed. Other than that it is very comfortable, reliable and roomy. We took it on a 19 hour trip to Disney world and it was an amazing ride!

Great family car for the family with small children.
It's great on fuel mileage, the stow and go seats are great with car seats and temperature controls. I especially love that all the windows roll down and the back ones vent open instead of one feature or the other like most vehicle options. The steering and traction control is great in the winter.

Great space and heating system.
The van is a very comfortable fit, the large capacity is not just good for transporting multiple people but also for transporting large amounts of gear, which is very useful for my freelance landscaping. The way the heating system flows through the vehicle is great in the winter as well.

Great car for large family!
We love our grand caravan! It has been a very reliable vehicle. We've had to do the basic repairs of brakes and tires, but other than that it is been very good. The only time we've had any trouble is with the automatic sliding doors. I have had the same problems with other minivans — but they do tend to freeze if the car is left outside and there is bad snow/weather conditions. Other than that it handles very well in snow. We live in the Chicago area and it is been great for four years! We have four kids who are rough on it and it still looks in great condition (when we get it vacuumed out!).

Family vacation vehicle. Comfortable ride.
Had to replace alternator 3 times. Hands free connectivity buttons are visible but do not work which is misleading. Middle captain chairs are not easily folded into and out of cargo bins. Love all of the cargo space for family vacations. 3rd row seating is not very comfortable.

The versatility of this vehicle is unparalleled.
I absolutely love the versatility of the Grand Caravan. It has more interior space for transporting large items than we can fit in my old truck. The stow and go seating/compartments are invaluable. Perfect for quick changing between cargo and passengers.

The Dodge Caravan has been a good vehicle for us. The Stow and Go option is great.
The Dodge Caravan has been a pretty reliable vehicle. The only major problem we have had so far is the transmission, but the factory warranty covered the repairs needed.

Great gas mileage, I drove to New Hampshire from Rhode Island and spent a week there did not need to fill up until the way back .
I love my Mini van the storage space and gas mileage are incredible. However there are a few major issues that are known to dodge and not covered under any warranty or recalls. The TIPM Total power integration module is failing on many of these vans and other dodge cars.

Reliable but does fall apart after a while.
My van has always been very reliable but BC my current work requires me to drive I have really worn it out. It is got around 162,000 miles and it is started having problems with the transmission and a/c. I have also had to replace the “brain” of the car which was $1,000.

Practical vehicle, great for families.
Reliable vehicle that is great for the families. Does not have the bells and whistles of other minivans, but it is more affordable. Love the stow and go seats and automatic doors. We’ve had a few small electrical issues that were easily repaired. Running great at 125,000+ miles.

2011 Dodge grand caravan crew.
Have had no problems except for normal wear and tear. It's a pretty reliable car. Very comfortable and large enough to fit a big family. Love the navigation, satellite radio, DVD player, and climate controls. The automatic doors are a huge plus for me as I have children that need to be carried.

It shuts off sometimes while you're driving and the manufacturer has no idea why and won't fix it.

Stow & go seating is the best!
I love my van. I love the stow & go seats, they fold into the floor so you have lots of room. The only problem I have had is with the brake calipers, they stick & I had to replace them all. Otherwise it is very reliable. I use it for the craft shows I sell at.

There is plenty of room for a family and it is very reliable.
My van is roomy with seating for 7. It has a DVD player with a remote. Backup camera is amazing. The seats all fold down, making it easy to haul large items. The brakes wear out very quickly on this vehicle. We have to change them about every 6 months, and I only drive around my town. So not a lot of highway miles/ right now we are having a transmission problem that apparently came from the eco mode feature. I was told not to run the van in eco mode all the time, because it can cause transmission problems. It has had a few recalls, but nothing major. Overall I would say it is a good vehicle, and I would recommend it to other consumers.

It really is a great vehicle and very diverse. I'm always able to transport whatever I need.
I am happy with the size and performance of my van. If course, as a larger vehicle, it is more costly to fill the gas tank, but pros outweigh cons in my opinion.

Overall the 2011 dodge grand caravan is a very nice reliable vehicle to own.
My 2011 dodge grand caravan is actually a very reliable vehicle. It has many safety features that I love including many early warning signs that let you know when something is not quite right before you start having any real mechanical problems. My only real complaint is that it is a very expensive vehicle to fix.

My favorite thing about the car is the automatic door that closes the trunk.
I absolutely love my Dodge Grand Caravan! It's super roomy for my family of 5 and a great car for us to grow with. It's got the automatic doors which is awesome to get my little ones in and out. It's got the back up camera that helps me make sure I'm not running over any toys.

More positive than negative. A Lot of extras because it was a sto go van.
I bought used and had a lot of trouble with it. Air conditioner cable to the alternator, replaced two batteries, tires, a recall, it's a nice running van, comfortable, not bad mileage, good storage area, not high enough to make it into a handicapped van for a wheelchair. I like the u-connect which I will get in all cars I get. Nice heavy van holds the road good.
accountCircle Heather E on January 18, 2021

Easily fixed and quickly back on the road.
One of the main issues I have experienced is with the starter. We have had to replace it twice since purchasing the vehicle. We have also had to replace the battery and the alternator. Recently, I had an issue where the vehicle would not start at all. There was no turn over, no click, no dash lights came, and the key fob was stuck in the ignition. In addition, there was a ticking noise coming from the fuse box. I replaced the run/start relay which was faulty, then I got the car jump started. I haven't run into any issues since then. The best thing about this car is that once we fix an issue, the car is back on the road quickly. Overall, it has been a reliable vehicle considering how long my family has been using it for.

Great for the soccer mom(dad).
Holds 7 people, drives nice, comfortable; problems -same as any other vehicle would have. Wife loves it because it has enough room for her to do all of her shopping. Racks on the roof to tie things down if needed. There is a recall on it right now, some wire behind the steering wheel needs to be fixed.

2011 dodge grand caravan - trustworthy and reliable!
I have owned this vehicle for approximately 4 years now and I love it! It is been very reliable and has needed little repairs asides from general maintenance such as brakes, tires, oil change, etc. I have taken it on many vacations to the Adirondacks, North Carolina, Maine, etc. It is been a trooper and is still doing amazing after all of the daily use/traveling I have done with it. The vehicle is comfortable to drive and is fairly smooth/quiet even after all of the miles I have put on it. Note: I am up to about 140,000 miles and still going. This vehicle is solid, well built and I love it. I am expecting to get 200,000+ miles on it by the time I have to retire her, which will be a sad day!

Fantastic family vehicle, comfortable to drive.
We purchased the van used last year. The size of the vehicle is perfect for our family. I enjoy the 'sto-and go seating', by this I mean the seats fold down into a compartment in the floor. This gives me the opportunity to easily transport groceries or furniture. The sliding doors on the sides and captain chairs in the middle offer the best seating arrangement. The van is extremely comfortable to drive. The only complaint is that there is a problem with the stock radio with this model and it just stops allowing for am/FM, whereas the satellite radio works fine.. Overall I couldn't have been happier with the choice.

Every car will eventually need repairs, but with regular maintenance you can get many worry free years out of this van. A great family car with a lot of storage space, decent fuel economy.
Has a lot of drift when driving on wet roads, also has a very limited turning radius which makes it difficult to park in smaller spaces. My dodge grand caravan has been a very reliable vehicle. It is a comfortable ride and gets good gas mileage. The stow-away seats are a great feature on this vehicle. Having a minivan vs. An SUV comes down to this. A SUV doesn't really have that much more space than a regular car, in my opinion. I definitely plan on getting another minivan.
I love my minivan. I like having all the inside space. I have 2 super little things that I love. One is the light green kind of lighting that comes on in the interior in the evening. It use to be great, here's to wishing!!
The 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan was a great vehicle for the first maybe two and half years. Then I started getting all types of manufacturing recalls, at least 2-3 a year it seemed like. Next other things started happening or breaking..for instance the side sliding doors wouldn't close because of the black retracting belt kept coming apart(I have returned from many of trips to the store with my van door open)..plus the key fob went out after maybe two years and it would cost about $300 to fix it, so I could not lock it and if I did it would set off the anti-theft system..then the liftgate went out, which means I could no longer push the button to open it up because it would not stay closed.

I like the size of the minivan. The interior is comfortable and spacious. It drives and handles well. I don't like that we've had to replace the brakes far too often. Same with driver's side wiper blade. Didn't have this issue with other vehicles.
There have been multiple recalls. One of which is for the airbags and another is for the window switch.

Everything bad happens one by one in a short period of time.
In the last 6 months the alternator went out, without warning and we needed to replace the tipm. The drivers side sliding door does not always open or close right, it will continuously click then will not latch. The passenger side window does not roll up or down correctly using passenger side buttons.

It has had many problems that had to be addressed in first few years. New Engine, transmission, electrical resets.
The seats are extremely comfortable. We have had a couple of problems with electrical system. I love the DVD player for the kids and ability to have satellite radio. Over 100,000 miles and still going.

It is solid, sturdy and efficient. It does the job I need done.
It has stow and go. I have newborn twins along with a 4 year old. It allows me to maneuver the twins easily in and out of the car better than other minivans. I doesn't have the pick up that the other have, but I am not the kind of guy that needs to go fast.

Big enough for all my family.
I have had many issues with this vehicle since I bought it. Electronic ignition went out, rear doors stopped opening remotely, DVD player stopped working, washer fluid nozzle stopped working, new brakes needed, shocks and struts needed all within a 4 month period. Absolute hell!

It is very convenient for a family with young children to drive.
I would love a newer vehicle, but don't have any issues with my existing one. This has been a reliable family car since we purchased it new.

I like having a van in general. The size for groceries is Handy. As well as driving sitting up higher instead of being in a low car. I dislike the color of silver as everyone has it. It so comment. The blind spot view for me being is bad.
That it an average vehicle in color, style and that a stay at home mother would use.

I love the sound system, the indicators on the side mirrors.
We have had our van for over 4 years. We love traveling in this vehicle. Very roomie, can travel as a family with luggage for 5. We have had no major issue with our van. Normal wear and tear. We do have a small issue with the delay on the windshield wipers.

Eco Button for gas mileage on interstate or highway.
Love our vehicle. Our drivers side window motor is going out and sometime the window won't roll back up right away. And we wish the middle Windows rolled down, but other than that it is a great vehicle. We love the eco button for our road trips.

Lots of space and many storage options. This van is go for hauling.
Right now there is a rattle in my sliding door. I love the space and stow and go. It has leather seats with nice red trim. There is a lot of space in the back for hauling things. The seats fold down in the back and middle to one level surface. The van rides pretty well too.

Greatest Van I've Owned. Never would buy anything except a Dodge
This is the best van I've ever owned..good with insurance, reliable, easy to maintain, strong engine. I love it and wouldn't trade it for any other Brand of Van.

Just because it is a minivan do not think it is not fast.
What I really like about my car it is great on gas. I like that it has a lot of horsepower. Over all it is a very comfortable. There is really anything I do not like about it.

Roomie for a big family on the go.
My vehicle handles well and has a lot of get up and go son passing is not an issue. The DVD entertains on long trips but I use this vehicle to go back and forth daily without issue. We love the stow and go future as it allows us lots of space when we decide to travel and we can pack more items and still leave the leg room that our sons that are all over 6ft tall. Leg room is crucial and we have it. Also the seats fold up easily making getting into the back seat far easier than crawling over seats..

It gets good gas mileage for what you would think you would get in a minivan
I like the gas mileage it gives. I also like the room that it provides so the whole family can ride together. It is a smooth ride I just wish it had more technology features

Dodge minivan, Grand Caravan
It is a mini van that gets me and my family around. I don't need any bells and whistles at this point. The biggest selling point for me was the stow and go feature. It allows me to put one or all four seats in the back down. I have two infant twins that are hard to get in and out. This feature is life saving and I don't know what I would do without it.

I love the cargo option. The seats can fold down into the floor.
I love my van for my family of 6. Plenty of room for everyone and so far very reliable. The only problem I have had is the power window in the back. Somehow when the door opens and closes it pinches the wire and it broke once already and we couldn't open the window. My husband has since fixed it but I am sure it will happen again.

Dodge Grand Caravan with Stow n' go
The grand caravan has plenty of space for large families, tall people, car seats, pets and is great for travel or everyday errands. The stow n' go makes packing easy and provides much needed stretching room for long trips/vacations. The gas mileage is about average for most vans/SUVs. The ride is smooth, comfy seating, rear heating/ac helps a lot with young children and passengers.

Very family oriented vehicle with lots of room.
It is a very reliable and comfortable ride. DVD system works well. The headsets are a bit easy to break for younger kids. Lots of storage and leg room. On the highway there is a bit of road noise but not as bad as some other vehicles. A very good buy for a big or growing family.
