2015 Dodge Grand Caravan Owner Reviews & Problems
Reviews For Dodge Grand Caravan
Great Minivan, horrible ac unit!
I never thought I'd be a minivan kinda mom but I have to admit my dodge is one of the best vehicles I've ever owned. It drives amazingly! Has plenty of room for my kids and their friends. Is ideal for road trips! (We take this beast all over Florida 3 times, Minnesota, South Dakota, Missouri, Wisconsin, Georgia, Nashville, Michigan and more!) It's amazing when it comes to gas and mileage. Coast on average about 40 to 50 bucks to fill tank from empty and I fill one to two times a month. I have owned this vehicle since 2014 and just hit 40,000 miles. The only negative thing I can say is every spring since I purchased new the ac goes out. At first it wasn't a big deal but now that I am out of warranty it cost me $800 this past spring. I've been told by multi mechanics that this is a common problem with this vehicle.

Love our van for space and seating. The stow n go seating is wonderful. They really help when you have big loads and need the extra space. Extremely good gas mileage when traveling, even better when we use the econ button. I do not recommend using econ for city driving as it will not take off very fast with that button on. Only issues we have had is we have a rattle that can only be heard when traveling at slower speeds. We took it in 3 times to dealership and they weren't able to locate it. We just decided to turn the radio up louder. Also, when you unlock the doors with automatic lock, the back passenger door has a buzzing to it. We did not purchase the automatic doors (husband's preference) but still wish back windows on sliding doors would roll down. That option is only available if you have auto doors.
Dodge Grand Caravan is convenient and an incredibly useful vehicle. Everyone in my family loves it! Even when driving alone, I love the versatility & options it provides. It has all of the space and convenience of other minivans, but without the big price tag that comes with other car brands. It is at least half the price of other minivans on the market today. While it is a satisfactory vehicle in most aspects, the transmission is a great deal more likely to have issues. Shifting between gears is not always smooth, and the RPM's frequently go higher than normal when accelerating.
The Dodge Grand Caravan has been an amazing vehicle for myself and my children, especially on long trips and in the school pick up line. I love the power doors that make it very easy to get everyone in and out. I also love the drop in floor seats, the abundance of room and the power windows, especially in the very back. But I wish there was more leg room for the passengers in the 3rd row, and that it were more easily accessible from the middle. I also wish the car had memory settings for the driver seat, storage for more than one pair of sunglasses, a flat spot for a cell phone mounting, had heated seats standard, the passenger seat was power and that the dual climate control was more consistent. But overall, it's a great van for a family.
Great capacity for people and luggage.
I love my van because it is spacious for whether I am going on a vacation or I am having extra kids over and need room for their stuff. I also like it for the smooth ride as well as it having the get-go to be able to get on the highway or move in traffic. I love how it is a van but it still has a sporty look. It is also a good vehicle for gas mileage. It also has a larger tank so it goes longer than our other vehicle on gas which is great when you are traveling. I can use the extra space under the seats 4 traveling or just to hold my everyday things like Charger cables in case of emergency. Another great feature is house spacious it is in the front but also the back.
Great vehicle, comfortable ride and great product for the money.
I love my grand-caravan! Rides so smooth, windows are big so feel safe changing lanes, rides smooth at 85 but great passing. Seats fold down so carting extra stuff works out really well and the under the seat storage is also very handy. I was talked into the electric door and the automatic lift gate and so glad I listened! The doors open quietly and the tailgate is so useful. Old dogs can learn to love new tricks! The seats are very comfortable and recline well. I have used this van to travel all over Texas for grandkids softball and to drive to Florida and back to Lubbock and felt very safe and didn't worry about any safety issues. Like I said I love this van.
Black monster - hot in the summer, but it is ok.
It is ok, gets me where I need to go. It is not luxurious, but it is dependable. Not too bad on gas mileage. Parks easy. Comes in handy when we have company visit. It is been driven in heavy traffic and also on long stretches of highway. It is been in heavy rain and in hot 100 degree temperature. The air conditioner works good. The heater works good. It will be time for new tires soon. I do not hot rod in it, but the mileage has been adding up. Being our only vehicle, we spend a lot of time on the roads.
Dodge caravan, the roomy family vehicle.
We love our Dodge grand caravan. Seating is comfortable with enough room for seven. The stow and go areas are a big plus, especially travelling with kids and animals. We go on quite a few road trips a year and find it very roomy even when all packed with luggage. Dual and rear temp controls are handy when we are traveling, and the entertainment system is perfect for your kids on long road trips. If I would change anything, I would prefer to have a beeper or some type of alert on the rear back up camera.
I love that it comfortably fits my wheelchair and all my groceries!
I really love my Dodge grand caravan because I can fit my wheelchair in the trunk space along with many more items. I also enjoy that I can open and close all the doors from the driver's seat. The ac is great in there, which is a huge plus! I think my only complaint is that there is not more cup holders. I have five kids, so it is roomy, but they fight over where to put there drinks, lol. Overall, though, I would buy this vehicle again and again. It is not only durable and comfortable, it is practical.
2015 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport
I love my van for carrying around my children. It is great with the tv/dvd that we use when we go on long trips. It really keeps the kids occupied. Plenty of room for all of our running around and fits my family perfectly, plus friends. I don't like that it did not come with a spare tire and we were not told this. That should be mandatory for a new vehicle. It had to go in the shop for a transmission pump at 62,000 miles. Overall, I like it and it works for us.
Push button power doors and back hatch.
My Dodge grand caravan is safe and reliable. Roomy and handles most of my day to day activities of hauling children to sports activities or field trips. It does however have its downfalls of a blender sensor bad in the front passenger side and back seats to where it blows hot air when it is on a/c. The rear passenger sliding door also does not lock. Those are the only 2 problems I have with it, so other than that it is a great van.
