My dodge journey has been very reliable. Bought it use and has never giving me any problems. It is our only car and we use it on a everyday basis and for 4-6 hours trips. Gas is not that bad for a 7 person car. $40-50 every week. When dodge made a recall to double check airbags, they treat us with respect. I will consider buying another dodge SUV in the future.

How big my car is and how fast it moves.
I feel like it can be to big sometimes. I also feel like I cannot drive as fast. So I would want it to be faster and be about to switch lanes quicker. I cannot switch lanes as fast as other smaller cars so I am other words I do like my car but it definitely has its flaws where it could be a whole lot better but it is manageable.

Overall good vehicle but battery placement is a deal breaker.
Vehicle has being reliable. Does not get great gas mileage. Enjoy the leg room and the ability to lower seats. If all seats are lowered it can hold a great amount of items. Air conditioning works well which is important in Florida. Wouldn't buy again though because of the ridiculous placement of the battery. You have to remove the driver side front tire to access the battery for removal. Love that it sits up high. With knee issues I do not have to strain to get in or out.

2013 dodge journey good and bad reviews.
The dodge journey is roomy. It has good speed. I think it has a lot of issues with sensors. If the gas cap is not one that locks it will make the check engine light come on. I also do not like the place where the battery is. It is under the tire so you have to take the whole tire off.

It is been a great car. Only minor issues like a broken wiper fluid cord. Or the thermostat went out. Reliable. Good gas mileage. Safe. Love the third row seating. It does have an issue with a tire sensor right now too but all in all it has been a great car. Would buy a newer model of the same car again.

Dodge journey: the minimalist SUV.
The dodge journey is a reliable vehicle, however, it is merely adequate. My model carries seven passengers, but the back seats are cramped. The four cylinder engine runs reliably, but lacks power. As a base model, it does not even have the most basic features like auto on/off headlights, or a backup camera.

Lots of storage, poor shocks.
The vehicle is great with lots of storage options within the vehicle. There's compartments beneath the seats, the rear floorboards, and under the trunk floor. My big complaint is that the shocks are extremely bouncy which makes the vehicle clearance less than advertised on rough roads.

Piece of Junk
We bought the vehicle at 146,000 k/m. Thought we would get 5 years out of it. Immediately, all warning lights went off, bells sounding everywhere and speedometer showed 0. In 15 months of ownership, three batteries, 2 Alternators, a new fuse system and over $8,000 in repairs, still only stays fixed for a month. Now it won't start and the dealerships wants at least another $1,700. Dealership is trying, no support from Chrysler

Horrible vehicle- dodge journey.
This is the worst vehicle. I feel every other month there is something wrong with it. We owe more on the vehicle than it is worth plus all these car issues we have to pay for. Overall I highly recommend to stay away from this vehicle. It is not just small repairs no it is like $1000 or more every 3 months for the last 2 years! It is ridiculous!

It saves gas. It has a lot of room. It fits up to 7 people. It always tells you when it is up for oil change. There is room to put in other things underneath, I have drove it to many states and drives very smooth. It still looks like the first time I bought it.

Never really had a problem. It drives good. Seats are comfortable. I have the 3rd row version so there is plenty of space. I have drive it on trips that lasted hours with no problem. Gas mileage is great for a SUV. I would recommend a dodge journey to anyone. It is overall a great vehicle.

Dodge journey r/t been a nice, comfortable vehicle for me. I really like the touch screen for the radio, climate and phone but the best part it also has Bluetooth. I love the leather seats and seat warmer. The trunk has a decent amount of space for the most important thing you need. It's also a three row seats so plenty of space.

Taking the dodge journey. How far can we go?
The car is very roomy. Three row seating. Everything is easily accessible. There is something wrong with it. Something to do with exhaust sensor being out. Other than that the vehicle is awesome. Just what I was looking for in a SUV. Even has extra compartments that easily hide conceal security attachments.

Best vehicle I have ever owned.
This is a great vehicles. Plenty of room for kids and storage. Great on gas mileage and has a great v6 motor in it. I would recommend getting this vehicle and if you do get the sxt sports edition. It comes with better looking wheels and a back up cam.

My dodge journey is a top choice for anyone looking for a good deal.
I honestly love this vehicle, it's very dependable and great on gas. The car drives well and when proper maintenance is done I believe that it will not disappoint. The only problems that I have is that the car shifts hard when moving from park to reverse or drive which is worrisome because transmission problems are very costly. The traction control on the vehicle works great, and while having a front wheel drive vehicle in the snow is okay this SUV drives great and makes me feel safe driving in rain and snow. The SUV is not only great on gas but also can use e85. The possibility of using alternative gas sources is wonderful not only for my pocket but more importantly for the planet. Alternative gas options are great because they create less pollution in our environment. Ethanol gas also helps out or farmers as well so that they have increased income and as well as our ability to depend less on oil and gas. I love the stow and go seating because with kids the ability to put down the seats to make more room for a large trip or if I put all the seats up everyone has room and is comfortable. The storage is amazing! I can't believe it, I've never had a vehicle with this much storage. From under your feet, to under the passenger seat you will be finding storage spots long after you purchase this vehicle. The interior is a light tan fabric which does not make sense to me why a company would choose this color in a vehicle that is for a lot of passengers, or a family with kids.

Runs smooth and lots of room
I love my car. We are a family of 4 and there is plenty of room. We opted for 3rd row seating too. I have one issue with my car. There was an update with my GPS and all of my maps were deleted. The dealer said they had to replace my whole navigation system and it would cost 700. That is the ONLY issue I have ever had with my car.

The cargo space allows me to transport construction and landscape materials.
My journey has been a very reliable vehicle for me. I find it comfortable to drive, and the cargo area very functional. The only negative is the large blind spot in the passenger back area. I also struggle with the blind spot created between the edge of the windshield and the passenger window. Other than that, I have had no mechanical issues.

Great traveling SUV but the 3rd row is a joke.
This modernized SUV is really nice except for that illusion of a 3rd row. The 3rd row is ridiculous. We have 4 kids and it is like playing Tetris to get all the car seats in it. Once my 2 forward facing toddlers grow into booster seats, they will not have any leg room. When putting up the rear 3rd row that leave zero trunk or storage space for much more than some coats. It is a comfortable vehicle in the 2 front captain seats and the 2nd row. The air vents in the front, mid and back are great too for warming up or cooling down the little kids. I have drove this vehicle across country 4 times and never had a performance issue.

The car I didn't expect to love.
This car was not initially what I wanted. I always stated I wanted a typical sedan but when I got in to test drive the vehicle, I completely fell deeply in love with the vehicle. It drives extremely smooth. The features of the car are very modern. The technology is very updated but not too much where it becomes difficult. You can set and control majority of the features in your vehicle from the touch screen radio.

Superb gas saver! If you travel a lot you'll love a journey!
Gas mileage is great! I work 45 mins from my home and still only have to fill up once a week. Very reliable. I had it 6 years before I started having work done on it. There were issues with the gas cap and emissions system but after a day at the shop, no more problems. There was a hole in the emissions system. Brakes are good. Still haven't had to purchase those but tires are not the best. I would suggest when you replace to get a good set. It is comfortable, and roomy. The 3rd row is pointless unless it is a small child.

Modern technology comes at a cost.
I have a good, used car. I bought it in Oct. 2016 with 16,000 miles on it. I started having problems with it a few months ago. The abs braking system is now messing up. The Bluetooth module has gone out too. I love driving it. There is 3rd row seating also.

Dodge journey likes and dislikes.
Great seating, drives nice great heating and air conditioning. A little bumpy on gravel roads. Not really good on gas mileage, but it is summertime and we gave the air conditioner on all the time. Bas a cargo net in the back. That is a really nice feature. As well as 120 volt outlets in the cargo area.

When my alternator went out.
I haven't had any really big problems with my vehicle. The only big problem that I had was when my alternator went out. Then my battery die because I had to keep getting a jump so I could move my car. Other than that my car has been great to me. I love it.

The back seats fold down completely making a larger trunk space.
The turn radius in the vehicle is not good. Very difficult to do 3 point turns. The clock and computer system in the vehicle has random glitches from time to time. Example: when I set the clock to the correct time, a few days later it is off again. The size of the inside of the cabin is large for a midsize but awkwardly shaped so it is hard to pack suitcases etc when we travel.

Overall, reliable and convenient vehicle.
I like how it has a rear view camera to help when I am backing up. The a/c has always worked well and also the heating. I do wish that it had a better stereo system for playing music. The gas and brakes are really touchy as well, I can never seem to drive as smoothly as my other vehicle.

I have owned my journey for 7 years! I have always kept up on the routine maintenance. I use lubricants and additives with my oil and fuel tanks when filling/refilling. I have had to replace tires, brakes, rotors, wipers, shocks/struts, radiator leak issues twice, and twice had to replace window motors. It may seem like a lot of issues but it was spread over seven years and not that expensive overall. I will always recommend doing all routine maintenance and following the services in owner manual at the appropriate times needed. I was 4 out 5 on my 2013 dodge journey sxt. 1=not happy, 5=love it.

Lots of space and hidden areas.
While I love this car the biggest downside is when you slow down say at a light to turn and go to speed up without coming to a complete stop it drags. Also the hidden sunglass are that pushes open on its own messed up and no longer opens on it own it has to be helped. Also on its own the antenna has split open and you can see the wires inside so I have to either replace or try to repair it on my own.

Dodge journey avp. Great family vehicle.
The journey is all around a decent vehicle. The only problem I have had out of the 2013 is the Bluetooth connection is messed up. I cannot figure out how to reset so I cannot connect my phone to the hands free app. Other than that I have no issues with the vehicle.

Our Dodge Journey has been great up until we welcomed our twin girls into the world. With 3 kids it worked great with plenty of cargo space in the back. With 5 kids, we are completely cramped and cannot do any kind of shopping or take long trips.

My Journey is super roomy. It seats 7 (with a third row seat) which is very convenient for my family. It has a large display that controls everything from the radio to the temperature. Great vehicle for small family!
My 2013 Dodge Journey is a lot of fun to drive. It has a lot of pick up and goes from 0 to 60 much quicker than my last vehicle. The driver's seat is very comfortable. I drove the car from California to Virginia in 4 days with no issues. The 3rd row of seating is not comfortable for adults. Trunk space is very limited unless you fold down the 3rd row.

It's not that great on gas in the city. The four cylinders are enough to maintain speed when going up hills. The stereo system is fantastic. Its spacious. I love that the middle row seating is able to be folded down. It cost a fortune to fill up because the task is so massive. Great in highway miles.

It's just OK, it's not my favorite car I've ever had, but better than what I've had before
I've had this car for about 5 years now, and it isn't bad at all, but it's not completely fantastic, either, it's somewhere in the middle. I like that the windows are automatic, and that the car can detect my keys from 3 feet away and unlock automatically if I need it to. I also like how I can control the speakers. The seats are really comfortable and don't overheat in the summer, which is a blessing especially because I live in a very hot climate. However, the air conditioning can take a very long time to start working, and I've heard this is a common problem with Dodge vehicles in general. There is also a feature where you can control whether you want the back windows to go down or not, and I'm guessing it was supposed to be a parental control, but it's really more of an inconvenience than anything else. This would maybe be a good first-car purchase, but not necessarily the best upgrade.

Review of 2013 Dodge Journey
The car features are nice. The seats are cloth and comfortable. I like that the 2 passenger seats in the back row have built in booster seats. It has the latch system for car seats. There is a 3rd row but the legroom is seriously lacking, it's fine for kids but not so much for adults. The storage room with the 3rd row up is tiny so doing family trips is difficult due to lack of space. The Bluetooth connection can be a pain sometimes, if you have more than one phone connected it will take forever to connect the one you are trying to use. The main complaint I have with this car is where the battery is located. The battery is behind the wheel wall so you have to remove the tire and the wheel wall in order to change the battery, and since the battery connections for jumpstarts are just leads to the battery, jumping the car has a 30% chance of actually working. The car also has some major blind spots in places that you usually wouldn't have one (like when making a left or right hand turn, you have to lean forward to see).

Third row seating is not for car seats
My Dodge journey is a little tight in the 3rd row. If your a small kid you can sit back there but not if your child needs to be in a car seat. There are no headrests or anchor systems. If your an adult there is no way your fitting in the 3rd row. The car has nice pick up and performance.

Great space for large dogs.
I am not fond of this SUV. The air condition is very loud on 7. And takes a long time to cool off the SUV. I had to have the tranny rebuilt at 80000 miles. Along with the axles and drive shaft..It is hard on brakes. I did buy it used. It does have space in back for my rottweiler which is why we bought it.

Great audio system, love the interior and leather.
It is pretty good on gas. The vehicle is easy to keep clean. Drives very smooth, super safe for kids. I enjoy the audio system as well. If anyone is looking for a good car, this is a good one. 2013 Dodge Journey Review
Love my car, very reliable. It has a fold down third row which is nice when needed. Very spacious, enough room for a family of 4. Decent on gas as well. Multiple storage compartments, under passenger seat, floorboard of back seats and one in the back hatch. All seats also fold down except the driver seat.

Dodge journey good start up vehicle for larger families.
3rd row seat very tight we have 5 kids and the smaller kids complain how cramped they are. A few minor issues with interior. Exterior is nice. All cars should have roof rack. Ours did not. We had a basic package so no bells and whistles. Not a lot of storage space if 3rd row is up.

It's comfortable to drive and reliable!
I like the visibility and It's comfortable to drive. I like the 3rd row of seating with the option to lay it down and have more room in the back. I wish it would get better gas mileage though!

My car. My car has tinted windows you can't see from the outside in.
My car is awesome.Its spacious. It has a lot of room on the inside. It's so quiet you can't tell it's even running.I've not had any problems with my car since I have had it. I love the fact that it heats up s fast in the cold. Love the push button start.

Overall a good car, if you keep a eye out for wiring problems.
Generally a good car, amazing gas mileage. Not much extra space if all 3 rows of seats are up. Wiring problems start around 100k miles. Including the interior lights and drivers window controls.

Remote start with a push to start.
I have had the check engine light on a few times than it tends to just turn off by itself. Overall it can fit a lot in the cargo trunk. I have had it for almost 3 years now and I keep the main maintenance on it without having any issues. The main reason why I decided to buy a dodge was because my mother in law has been having her truck for almost 13 years now and it still runs good.

There is lots of space for when you go on vacation
It seems to have transmission issues. I love the space but there are a lot of recalls for only being a 2014

Not so great, not terrible.
Overall I am not impressed with this vehicle. Thank god I paid the extra few thousand and got the warranty. At just over 60,000 miles the head gasket went and my engine started overheating all the time. The electrical is starting to be screwy I can tell. The engine is too small for the size of the vehicle.

The dodge journey has been a very reliable mid size SUV for my family of seven.
I love my 2013 dodge journey. It has third row seating in which you are not completely cramped. It has pretty good gas mileage for a mid size SUV. I haven't had any major issues with this vehicle and it is a smooth rider. I would definitely recommend the dodge journey to anyone looking for a midsize SUV.

The third row seating is a great feature for a family vehicle.
I drive a 2013 dodge journey. It is a great family vehicle. The third row seating makes it really nice to carpool multiple people in the car. Whether it be to go to games for the kids or family outings. It is also very handy to separate kids when they are fighting on long trips. The dodge journey does wonderful for long trips especially gas wise. We regularly had to make a five hour drive close to 300 miles and would only have to fill up once on the way down and once on the way back. We bought our journey used with over 100,000 miles on it and we haven't had any technical problems so far. It has been a very reliable every day use car for our family.

The body is seats are nice cloth material easy to clean up.
I love my dodge journey I bought it used. I had your patience on the vehicle. I have gone from Vermont to South Carolina. The car handled like I was just sitting in my living room. I set the cruise button and off we went. The seats are comfortable it does not matter if in front seat or the back seat.

Affordable/comfortable/reliable.
The SUV looks great on the outside. Very great color. Perfect size for a single person a very small family of 4. Inside is great and has a good amount of room again for a single person or small family. This vehicle has had several recalls and several maintenance issues that should not of been of any concern at this point consider the care is only 7 years old. There was a issue with the electrical system which costed me 900 to fix. However the car is for the most part dependable and reliable. It is very comfortable on the inside.

It drives really well and does not feel like a big SUV.
I really like my Dodge journey. My only complaint would be to have the 3rd row easier to get in and out of when using it. And have those seats sit a bit higher.

People should know that the dodge journey has Third row seating.

Never buy a dodge journey.
Shortly after getting my vehicle, the Bluetooth feature stopped working. The fan in front of my radiator continuously stops working which means my car runs hot while sitting still and the air does not work. This has been fixed multiple times, but keeps breaking. The tire sensors randomly go off when the tires are perfectly fine. One of the cables in my backseat stopped working to where the seat is unable to be moved for access to the back row.

Needs a lighter and ashtray, should be a choice.
Heats up and cools fast, great on gas, runs very good for the amount of miles on it. Miss not having back up camera or navigation feature on it had to buy tires only once so far, and brakes good so far, did have a sensor changes for the shift of power to the trans. Has great backseat space and holds a lot of shopping goods in the back.

The car should be taken in more often and have things check and learn to ignore sensors telling you have a problem

Three row seating dodge journey for large family.
We are a family of 6 and it has lots of room built in 'ice chest' or you can use them for storage behind driver and passenger seats, it also has two built in booster seats that pop up and can go back down on second row it had a pull down center console in the middle with cup holders and a third row of seats both rows of seats can be removed or lay flat for hauling and runs good and believe it or not but good gas mileage I wouldn't trade my journey for nothing.
