Dodge journey: a terrific and safe car.
My car is extremely reliable. It is extremely easy to handle and for a larger car gets pretty decent gas mileage. There are some minor issues I have, such as some blind spots with the car, but other than that, I think it is terrific. I would recommend this car to anyone who wants to keep their kids safe.

Great economical family car
Dodge Journey r/t is a very reliable, economical car with lots of space for a mini SUV. Great street performance and looks great

Get a Dodge Journey right away!
I love my Dodge Journey. It is comfortable. I have a great entertainment package, including great speakers. I have enough room for 5 adults to sit comfortably and still have a ton of room for storage. There is storage under the trunk floor, in the rear floor under both side seats, and the front passenger seat has storage underneath.
accountCircle Raj R
Comfortable, easy to ride, stability, safety, good gas mileage and affordable.
Spacious for 7 people. Good gas mileage. Comfortable and smooth long distance riding.

My car is a start to push vehicle.
No complaints about my vehicle. I love my Dodge journey and have had it for a year now. I love the space it provides and the start to push.
accountCircle Carrie B
It has a 3rd row with lots of room for kids. Love the get up and go too!
Like all the room and gas mileage it gets. No complaints really
accountCircle Karrie D
Great on gas mileage is probably the most important thing about the car
It is very roomy inside but not too big on the outside so it is easy for me to drive. I also love the fact that it has 7 seats and still has room for groceries or luggage. I dislike all the recalls and little issues that the car has had.
accountCircle Dee M
I love my dodge journey!!
One of my favorite vehicles I have owned. Very comfortable, heated steering wheel and seats. Smooth riding. Maintenance is general, typical. Has so much room, third row seating as well. Issue I have had is trying to replace one rim. Not standard size. Look great but much more expensive.

I like Chevys alot better!
Shortly after purchasing my dodge journey I started having troubles. It jerks alot and I had it worked on and spent alot of money trying to fix it. A month later it is doing the same thing and feels like it's going to die. I don't feel safe driving it out of town anymore.
accountCircle Troy C
No interesting details about the vehicle. I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone not even my worst enemy.
Been in the shop five time for electrical issues. Have issues with check engine light coming on and off all the time. Usually because the sensor on the gas cap doesn't work all the time.
accountCircle Dianna Z
Not my best purchase but okay.
The se package on the journey does not make sense. Some features are advanced and others are manual. Mechanically the car is good. I personally have high mileage and do a good amount of highway and city driving. Gas mileage is decent. Resale value is awful!

The 2015 dodge journey nothing but a lemon.
The 2015 dodge journey was a complete waste of money. I have had nothing but problems with it. I have spent well over $4,000.00 in repairs. The shifter likes to get stuck for no reason in neutral it's been brought to the dealer several times for that they can't seem to tell me why. I had an issue with my cruise control acceleration for no reason it's been brought in twice for that once again they don't know what's causing it. There has been other issues too that the dealership don't know what's causing it but they sure do know how to charge for the repair. I don't recommend the dodge journey to anyone mine has been a lemon from day one.

Drives well and rides great on long and short trips
Excellent performance and economy. Handles well Good gas mileage
accountCircle Patricia R
Dodge journey is not the best SUV out there. The price was right.
Uses too much gas it is about 19 miles per gallon in city and 24 on the highway. Slow to take off from a stop or when you are trying to pass a car or get on the highway. When driving it is. Not a smooth ride. You can feel every bump and hole on the road.
accountCircle Olivia S
The journey is a big car but comes with problems in the 2015 model.
Problems with leather, windshield, battery, electrical. I would not recommend this vehicle. Our vehicle is not that old and already has had so many problems. We will not be buying from dodge again. The speedometer did this weird thing where it would go up and down. Very scary had to fix that for $1000.
accountCircle Josh H
There's coolers built in and a storage space underneath the passenger seat.
The car has had nothing but problems since we got it. One thing after another, there was even a recall on one of the parts. Had to take it in to the dealer to get fixed. The AC is horrible, it's so hot in the back seats. I had to buy fans so my kids wouldn't sweat to death. My Family has just outgrown the car and we need something bigger.

Wipers problem
Why are the windshield wipers so short? The driver's side only sweeps the top part of the windshield leaving the lower half untouched. Can't see unless your head is touching the ceiling

Not worth the money
I bought my 2015 Dodge Journey SXT with 37,600 kilometres. That is low mileage. I bought this vehicle for its ability to tow. I was barely off the lot. The computer (Entertainment Centre) was defective. Phone wouldn’t pair, navigation and cruise control wouldn’t work. After replacing two computers, a wire in the steering wheel was defective. All of that got fixed but if I hand the paid $4,000 for an extended warranty, it would have cost me thousands. Who buys a car for $20,000 only to have it fall apart like a cheep watch. Wait, it gets better. I got halfway across the country and my tires nearly blew. The dealership told me my car was not overloaded. I had to replace all 4 tires. Arrived in NS and there was no air conditioning! Got that fixed, then there was no heat. Battery died. Now something is wrong with ABS sensors and cruise control broken. Automatic door lock works intermittently. I’m used to owning Toyotas and not used to having so many things go wrong with such low mileage!

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Nikki J.

Pro: Easy to drive with radio control features on the steering wheel. Touchscreen for easy use while driving. Detailed dash with menu options. Great sound system. Safe and reliable. Cons: Has to many recalls. Touchscreen could have more features and less knobs. No storage under passenger seat. No Bluetooth.

likeFilled Sandy P.

Size of vehicle and ability to pull a trailer. Price point is ok, comfortable drive, smooth ride. Looks modern and not like a mom car, sits high so you can see around you good. Seats fold down easily for extra room.

likeFilled Cynthia C.

It has Soft seats, smooth drive, voice listening, good gas mileage, good air and heating system. Also, it has a Backup camera. In addition it is run by gasoline, it also has all wheel drive, anti lock brakes.

likeFilled Alan P.

Feels roomy on the inside without feeling big on the road. Smooth ride. Plenty of accessible storage in the cabin. Intuitive entertainment console. Good gas mileage in city driving, adequate highway mileage(70-75 mph).

likeFilled Lauren S.

Drivability, its comfortable, decent gas mileage, handles snow well. Heated steering wheel and seats are nice. Roomy interior. Nice upgrades. Low maintenance costs so far. Reliable. Kids love it and so do we.

likeFilled Tray D.

My interior is leather. I love how it has a drop down feature in the second row for placing drinks. I love that it has Push button start. It also has a Third row seating feature. Plenty of Extra storage space.

likeFilled Jennifer S.

It is roomy and has lots of storage. There's a 3rd row if needed. Good gas mileage for an SUV. Great car to take on long trips. Higher off the ground but not too high. Easy to get into. Plenty of legroom in middle row which most people ride in.

likeFilled Robin N.

Extra, hidden storage spaces. Optional 3rd row. Leather seats. Heated seats. Remote start. Automatic drivers seat adjustment. Satellite radio capability. Touch screen. Heated steering wheel. Cost. Affordable.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Nikki J.

No Bluetooth or option for. Way to many recalls that require lengthy stays at dealership. Lots of blind spots, will need blind spot mirrors. Touch screen could be bigger with no knobs. No storage under passenger seat.

dislikeFilled Sandy P.

Power window is not working properly. I hate the vinyl between the driver and passenger seat that covers the arm area... Cheap. It can pull a trailer but struggles. Needs to have an option to take out of overdrive.

dislikeFilled Cynthia C.

It does not have enough room in the 3rd row in the vehicle. I would love to have a GPS. It lack driver-assistance technologies. Lack heated seats and steering wheel. The price of the Crossover is not too bad but it needs these feature to be a better vehicle.

dislikeFilled Alan P.

Not enough power in the four cylinder, front cup holders are not in the most convenient place, could be more reachable. Highway mileage could be better. Aux port is in a very inconvenient location (center armrest console).

dislikeFilled Lauren S.

Eats more gas than I would like. The radio has some defects and it struggles to connect to my phone constantly despite repeated software updates. Transmission has already had some issues despite low mileage but was covered under warranty.

dislikeFilled Tray D.

It takes a lot of gas. Almost 16 or 17 miles per gallon. It is very difficult to get to the spare tire. The heater is in the dashboard which makes it extremely difficult to get to. Seems to have funny electrical problems.

dislikeFilled Jennifer S.

Absolutely No leg room in the back seat. This the third row and even shorter people struggle with riding in. It can be a bumpy ride if the road is not super smooth. You can feel every bump on most roads. There have been a number of recalls and due to my location getting the fixed has been a challenge.

dislikeFilled Robin N.

Feels cheap. Gas mileage is just okay. Tire rod broke at less than 10,000 miles. Very low safety rating. Battery is annoying to check and change. The price tag is cheap, so the parts are cheap. The dealership I bought it from was terrible and has terrible customer service.
