The fiat 500 is the best compact car.
The car is very reliable and very fun to drive. It gets great mileage, and I love owning it. It is also decently comfortable and spacey enough for long drives. The only downside is that maintenance takes a lot longer, due to the size of the car. But, overall, it is great.

My car is fun to drive, it is small but it is roomy and feels safe
My car is small on the outside but it has a lot of room on the inside. I like to zip around in my car. I like that I can park in places that large cars can't.

Love my Fiat 500-C, Cute and Efficient.
I love the mileage per gallon, the car's seats are comfortable, the trunk fits plenty of necessities, the rooftop is beautiful. However, the tires are quite awful and easy to blow. The cupholders are also not very functional, you can't fit more than one drink from a standard drive-thru.

We are a family of 4 and this car is comfortable for us.
I honestly love my car. Have not have any issues with the performance, is a very reliable car inexpensive in gas and has more trunk space then a regular car. My kids love it and we get compliments everywhere we go. Perfect for single person or a small family. Parts and oki change are on the higher end but is because the car is considered a high end vehicle.

It has been a very reliable vehicle.
Very comfortable, good visibility, reliability. I dislike that I have to go to the dealer for much of the service needed.

My vehicle is a ( I think) 2010 Chrysler. There really not anything interesting.
The brakes of my vehicles are kind of laggy or lose. When I am speeding and trying to slow down, the brakes are practically useless. Also, the windows of the right side of my car don't work. They are just stuck and won't go down. Despite these problems, I still love my car very much.

My Fiat is the most fun car I've ever owned. It's like a mini sports car, complete with Ferrari-sounding engine.
I have the Fiat 500 Abarth. I LOVE it! It's cute, easy to maneuver, and reliable. I can't think of any complaints.

Though it be but little, it is fierce!
It is simple to maneuver, compact, and is great on gas! It is a cheap city car that is reliable as it is stylish, and makes for a five minute at home car wash. The fiat 500 pop is a good first car, as the small stature is nothing to sneeze at, for it makes up in value in the long run.

Fiat won't let me fit! I am too big to fit.
Too small to fit. I've tried to have fun with this car considering in 350 lbs plus but for anyone that is my size and needs to get around this car is not for you trust me. Especially if you are bigger! The car is seemingly slow when I try to drive it.
accountCircle cristiana A
The gas mileage is amazing I usually only fill up once a week and it's a small tank.
The quality of the car is just poor. Before 75,000 miles both door handles snapped off, the arm rest snapped, the window regulator broke. The interior fabric wears away so quickly. The reliability of the car is okay, I have only had to replace one part in the vehicle ($600 with labor).

Stay away from fiat !!
My 500 l with 50000 miles and the engine has to be replace, nothing but trouble with this car I bought a yellow color fiat and the yellow goes with the lemon that this car came out to be. Stay away from fiat is the only advice I can give.

Great car. Very reliable. Love it!
Very reliable. Great on gas. Speed is well but I do not drive fast so speed is not a big factor for me. I enjoy driving this vehicle daily. It is a very reliable car. I would recommend this car to any car buyer whether it is your first or your fifth car.

Has a good amount of features that is nice for a little economical car.
I have a fiat 500. As in reliability the car is good, I love how the car is good for 2 people if it's just you and your significant other and two people fit perfectly in the back as well. It's a pretty modern car has an aux cord input, Bluetooth and a sports mode, seat warmers which are my favorite features. Good on gas. The only problem I do have with the car is that it does take a while to hit a good amount of speed. So it does take a while to accelerate.

Its old but still runs well.
The car is too small, and it has a lot of fuse problems and my tires are often getting low. My car is also.
accountCircle Joann D
It is electric, so I don't rely on gas. I just charge it and I'm good to go.
I like that it is electric so it is green. It also saves me money because I use free charging stations. I just don't like the anxiety of being unsure if you have a good enough charge to make it to your destination.
accountCircle Skylar M
Dependable, quick, every day driving car, compact enough to fit in tight spaces.
Pedals are touchy, gas mileage could be better, needs stronger air conditioning. The seating is quite uncomfortable, needs butt warmers, a backup camera would help blind spots.

Tiny driving with a compact car.
Perfect for city driving, living in downtown it is easy to parallel park in small spots. Good on gas, compact, able to fit my 2 kids in the back seat (not great for adults in the back, pretty tight). Small trunk space but good for a grocery trip. Drives well on the interstate. Small cup holders, but we got used to “tiny driving”.

It's a fun car but it's a cheaply made car.
Although I love this car immensely, it is poorly made to be an Italian car. When I put it into 5th gear it pops out of 5th gear. The armrest fell off just the other day. I read somewhere that you cannot hard close the doors because if you do it will knock out the power on the power windows. But it is such a fun little car! You can park it just about anywhere! Its maneuverability is incredible. I look forward to actually driving it.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Robert R.

Size of the vehicle is amazing because it allows for easy transport around my rural town. It is by far the most used car in my collection because the gas mileage is also very helpful when budgeting for the month.

likeFilled Eric S.

Great on gas. Also cheap on insurance as well. Safe and cheap to maintain. Easy to drive and small enough to find a parking space easily. Plenty of storage space when you fold the back seats. Easy to keep clean.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Robert R.

Some of the cons are related to the positives because the size can be a bit annoying when needing to transport large items. However, I really do not think there are many cons with my FIAT. I would buy the car again!

dislikeFilled Eric S.

No room for passengers in the back seats. The air conditioning system in the summer is weak. Hard to maintain speed while driving uphill. Lights are not as bright as I would like them when driving at night.

Is The 2014 FIAT 500 A Good Car?

Yes, it is economical, easy to drive and park. It can turn corners easily. It does not have a lot of power in acceleration, but that does not bother me.
Deb O.
It is a fun vehicle to drive and handles well but is not the safest (no all-wheel drive) and does not drive in the snow or ice.
Monica S.

How Reliable Is The 2014 FIAT 500?

I have been having problems with the ac not working properly. The car will die after using the ac for short period of time. Also, the esc light comes on occasionally. I have also had the thermometer... Read More
Deb O.
It is reliable as long as no snow or ice is on the road to drive through. Routine maintenance only so far, no big problems.
Monica S.

Is The 2014 FIAT 500 A Good Value?

I got it used, so it was a good value. But the trade in value after a year and half is terrible. I wish it would keep its value more.
Deb O.
It costs 25,000 dollars and is a decent value for the price. It drives well and is pretty hassle-free so far.
