The 2008 Ford escape and its ignition switch issue

When I first purchased my vehicle used back in 2015 I was really in love with it. At the time I was full-time college student working a part-time job so this size was perfect for me and it still is plenty of room for me. I had no problems with the car up until about a year after I purchased. That is when I realized that the ignition switch in a 2008 Ford escape is known to go bad very quickly. Since I have got the car in 2015, I have had to replace the ignition switch three times. It is a slightly expensive fix to get the problem resolved without having to continue to buy ignition switches. The car also tends to run a little loud. But I still love the appearances and the size, along with the comfort of the car. My particular model does not have a sunroof heated seats touchscreen radio etc, it's just the basic model.

2008 Ford Escape: Reliable, comfortable, and long-lasting.

I have owned my 2008 Ford Escape for 11 years. I am the sole owner of this vehicle and have had a wonderful 11 years with it. Outside of regular maintenance, this car has never had any major issues until after 10 years where the wear and tear has begun to take place. Even still, the issues are expected (replace tie rods and shocks). I've clocked over 150,000 miles and have loved every mile with this car. I will never go back to a compact, this SUV has treated me so well. Comfort level is high and gas is cheap for an SUV styled car!

2008 ford escape and loving the new car

car is amazing love how roomy it is and open. It is as 140,000 miles and haven't had a major issue just the little things like the brakes and tires. Works well when it comes to bad weather. Only thing I don't like is that the back two windows only go down halfway. Love how the hatch windows open to get little things out quickly and then the whole hatch opens but is hard to get shut completely

Most enjoyable car make of my lifetime!

I have had no problems with my car so far even with how old it is! I love the performance, it has been constantly a smooth drive. I believe my car is very reliable and comfortable to drive. I love the gas mileage feature so I know just how many miles I have left before I need gas. I would highly recommend this car for anyone looking for a reliable vehicle.

My Ford Escape and the available storage rooms that comes with it

My Ford Escape very comfortable Tudor house. It's very good on gas mileage. 4 doors with sunroof and a hatchback. The seats let down for more storage in the back. My Ford Escape seats 5 was plenty of storage room. I haven't had any problems other than you need me to recharge the air compressor this summer for the air conditioning.

It drives real well on the highways.

I had issue with the steering wheel and had to replace the power steering and I had issue with the brake system. This car is a real headache. The think I like is that it will not get stuck in the snow. Also when it gets cold the radio will not turn on. American car makers must develop a much better car that will last longer.

My vehicle is big, nice ride, a lot of space.

I have had many issues with my breaks yearly, also rust by the tires. It is a very well drivable care with a lot of room for other people and for road trips. Very comfortable as my of my friends and family say. I would buy another same make and model of this care for sure since I have had a great experience with it so far.

Smooth Ride an SUV thats good for daily driving

The car is great, it has a very small interior which makes having it be a 5 seater extremely tight in the back seat. The tires and brakes wear more quickly than my past vehicles. But the car runs smooth and is pretty good on gas mileage. I also had to replace the entire transmission on it at only 90 thousand miles.

Smooth and comfortable ride that handles great in bad weather.

The 2008 Ford Escape is a reliable vehicle. Very minimal visits to the garage and does well on gas. I enjoy how the car drives (smoothly) and it makes for a comfortable ride at an extremely affordable price. The vehicle is also tested in rain, snow, ice, etc. and handles as well as any vehicle on the market.

Great mid-sized SUV for just about any need

The car has been super reliable since I purchased the car in 2011. I had one issue with the transmission (likely cause by my driving habits) which was replaced a little over a year ago and no problems since. Perfect sized SUV for a first car or someone who doesn't want to drive something overly cumbersome.
