Great ride and low maintenance.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I was initially concerned about the 2.5 liter engine power. But, I was impressed the from the first day. I drove 150 miles home through an early snowstorm with high winds. It handled great. It has more headroom than my last, larger SUV and is comfortable. I have taken it to the Grand Canyon in the summer, to Kansas and Nebraska in the spring, and I live in Wyoming. This vehicle handles heat and humidity and cold. I like the way it drives. I like the extra plugins in back for kids with DVD players and cell phones. The lighted mirrors, overhead sunglass storage and atlas, and stuff pockets on the back of the front seats are useful. The driver also has the ability to lock the back doors and windows so little one do not accidentally open a door. I have now over 120,000. Miles and I only have had to do routine maintenance on it. The gas mileage is good too. I have gotten up to 34 mpg, but seem to average around 24 mpg. I would buy this vehicle all over again.

- Roulette L

Very good gas mileage and maintenance costs are very low.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

This car is so reliable it has went all the way to Florida, Pennsylvania,South Carolina,West Virginia several times with in the days. I think it comfortable. Have only really had to get tires and brakes put on it. But we have also change the oil as well. A lot of space for all your vacation needs. We packed the car with three adults and a child in a car seat plus all the baggage for a week's vacation and had plenty of room. Very good on gas especially when going long distances. We can go all the way from southern Virginia to Pennsylvania on one tank of gas.

GREAT vehicle at an affordable price!

2011 Ford Escape XLT

My husband and I purchased our vehicle brand new from the dealership, when I was pregnant almost seven years ago. I felt, and still feel, safer being up high in the SUV, than in a car, with the convenience of getting great gas mileage (25 mpg). With the exception of having difficulty with the seal on the gas cap a couple of years ago, I have not had any problems with my Escape. The only thing that I wish it had, was a deeper backseat with more legroom for my now 6 year old daughter.

2011 Ford Escape- Great overall vehicle

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I really like my Escape. It is the perfect size for me. The overall performance has been great. My biggest complaint is with all the sensors. My check engine light has been on for the past two years but there is not issue with the engine. The fuel inlet sensor is also always on, but there is nothing wrong with the fuel inlet. Other than that, it's been a very reliable vehicle. The fuel mileage is pretty good and I can go up to 3 weeks on a tank of gas when I stay in the city.

- Vanessa S

Do not recommend it to anyone who is looking for a dependable vehicle.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

This particular vehicle in my opinion..Is not a bad vehicle..But is not the best either..Many problems occur under the body also under the hood not to mention everything is basically electronic..It is not really meant for country lifestyle..Is not 4 wheel drive..Does best in city where there is not a lot of hills..A lot of sensor's throughout the vehicle..Honest opinion would not be a vehicle I would recommend at all... To many problems I could go on forever.

- Ralph B

Not many issues at all after eight years.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Small and easy to drive, gets decent gas mileage. It is a little weak going up hills sometimes. The seats sit a little high for me, and there is not enough leg room for me at 5'7'. The sunroof works great. I have had no problems with anything other than a leak in the back somewhere when it rains hard. Water drains down onto the liner in the back. I remedy it by leaving a gap so the rain drains into the trunk area and out.

Simple Pluses In New Vehicles At time the simple things are Eye catchers.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Love my Escape. I have not had any issues with it. I have low mileage and the only thing I have done with it is replace my tires. The neat thing I like is the hands free phone. I had never bought a new car prior to my Escape and that was so cool. I also like it that it will let me know when I am getting low on gas. I realize these are simple issues but it is things like this that catch my eye on new vehicles.

Overall Reliable Vehicle??

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I enjoy the room of my Ford Escape. Just enough to carry my grandkids & their friends or transport good sized items in the back when seats are down. Have not had any odd problems with it, just Normal maintenance. Feel secure driving it. I can accelerate fast enough & stop fast enough. Maneuverability is great & reliable. Appearance has kept up so even though it is 2011 I feel confident in displaying the Escape.

- Mary H

I would buy another ford escape for sure.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I really love my escape. It is the right size for the 3 of us and a dog. I wish it had leather, sunroof and a v6. If you have to pull out into traffic it is a little slow. I also like the ones that have the crime grill and brush guard/front bumper. They look so fancy. The windows seem to leak a little. We have to keep replacing my speakers because they get wet. I would buy another escape for sure.

- Sandy B

An amazing vehicle that is excellent on gas.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Overall it is a decent vehicle. It handles well. It does lack get up and go. Not sure if this is because it is a 4 cylinder. It is daily comfortable and seats 5, 4 comfortably. It is very reliable and great on gas. The fully loaded model is the best. The stereo has great sound. Wish it had Bluetooth capability. The interior is nice and having fold down back seats helps for carrying larger items.

- Mary L

My Ford Escape, the easy rider. I like it.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Vehicle is well maintained. Love the way it drives. I like that the driver's seat adjust to fit me perfectly. Have had little to no problems in its performance. I really like that if something is wrong, the issue displays on the dashboard where the speedometer is and am able to get the issue fixed immediately. Vehicle is roomy enough to fit my family. I like that it is not a big bulky SUV.

- Roberta M

Great gas mileage & nice ride.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

When in the market for a new car, my daughter suggested an escape. Never really paid that much attention to them. Was driving an impala, which we loved at the time of getting the escape. This particular car only had less than 7,000 & was a year old. Drove it & loved. Take our 3 grandchildren on a lot of adventures & love the roominess of it. Get great gas mileage & love the hatch.

2011 Ford Escape... pretty good little car!

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Haven't had this car long as I just bought it at auction with 187K miles. Even with that type of mileage the car still runs great and has held up well. Also, I love that I was able to remove the bottom seat covers from the back seat and throw them in my washing machine. They came out looking brand new and smelling so nice! Good little car with great gas mileage and handling.

- Tracy A

Perfect family vehicle for all types!

2011 Ford Escape XLT

The Ford Escape is a reliable and comfortable family vehicle. I have had this vehicle for four years with no major issues yet. The four wheel drive is helpful in inclement weather. The backseat has a lot of space for groceries as well as a large car seat for my toddler. It is large enough for hauling small furniture and garbage. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone!

- Casey B

We love the backup, street map, and media and music features.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

We purchased our 2011 Ford Escape in 2016 used with approximately 60,000 miles on it. We made a trip to Florida, months after. With 4 people and luggage, it was a tight fit, too crowded to be comfortable. A later trip with just 2 people and luggage was much better. Other than having to have the AC repaired and the sun roof leaking we've been very pleased.

The Aging Ford Escape: the expenses of Dealing with problems that arise

2011 Ford Escape XLT

The 2011 Ford escape is a great vehicle in terms of size and amenities. The only major concerns are issues with the air conditioning and transmission. Mechanic have suggested that these issues are common in ford escapes. I have had to fix my a/c multiple times. I cam currently addressing transmission issues. I really love the way the car drives, otherwise.

- Renata J

highlights of ford escape

2011 Ford Escape XLT

The only issues we have had is new tires and wheel bearing. It is a very reliable vehicle. It has CD player and Bluetooth it is. a electric everything. It drives really smooth and has been very dependable. It has cruise and power locks, air bags, and tilt steering wheel. I like the size of the car it is easy to get my granddaughters in and out of the car

I love this car! Great family vehicle!

2011 Ford Escape XLT

It gets surprisingly good gas mileage and is very comfortable to drive. The heat and air conditioning both come to temperature quickly. I feel very safe in this car should an accident ever occur. I have a small child and feel this car would protect us well if the worst should happen. The sync service is easy to use and Bluetooth quality top notch.

- Jami B

Best vehicle choice, that could have been made was the one here.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

The ford escape is a very reliable vehicle. Safety is my priority and this covers that. Performance is outstanding. Drives like a charm. Comes with all the features you could possibly want. This is the vehicle to have. I have wanted it for a long time got it and am very satisfied and happy I have it now. I will never go to anything else.

- Stephanie S

Great car for a busy person

2011 Ford Escape XLT

One problem I've noticed with my vehicle and similar Ford Escapes I drive past is that the hinges on the rear window start to rust and create a stain on the window. I do enjoy that I can use Bluetooth audio, which I use every day. My dash alerts me of my tire pressure and gas tank. It's all around a great vehicle for me.

- Taylor R

Sun/Moonroof. It is roomy with the back bench seat flipped down.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Have had very few issues with Car except rusting above both rear wheels and at back hatch as well as under the drivers door. Other than that mechanically the car is very serviceable. A nice size SUV for a smaller family. I would recommend this vehicle but make sure to oil spray and put well covers about wheels.

A great car for anyone - families, travelers, adventurers, and everyday people.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

The liftgate button doesn't always work, through the glass does. It's pretty great on gas, roomy, it's lasted quite a while. The seat belt doesn't lower enough for me (5' 1') but otherwise, it's really comfortable. I've never had an issue with it - haven't had to replace anything large (struts, brakes, etc.).

- Teresa D

I love how smooth it drives and is very sturdy.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

This vehicle is very study. I cannot tell you how many minor accidents I have been in and it still has pulled through. It is truly a great vehicle for long distance trips. I get about 25 miles per gallon! It's very spacious. It's a all around family car, I couldn't ask for something that fits my lifestyle.

- Linnea T

Comfy ride. Very good CUV.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

It is a very comfortable vehicle to drive. I enjoy my vehicle very much. Gas mileage is fair and does well on the highway. Ample storage and carrying capacity especially when type rear seats are folded down. Rear seat leg and head room is good for an average person. Overall a very enjoyable car to own.

- Rod H

It is a small convenient SUV. Anyone can drive it, good or bad driver.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

It has great mileage. I use it every single day. I have had my car for 7 years now. It is reliable and safe. Great car for anyone to learn in. Does not have GPS or navigation but overall it is a good car. In seven years all I had to change is the oil, coolant, tires, brakes and windshield wipers.

Family of four drives fords.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Our family of 4 is outgrowing this car. The fuel light continuously come on even after having it reset. We have tried everything the manual instructions tell you to do, also has been to the dealership for the issue. Otherwise it has been a good car for the last four years that we have owned it.

- Lisa F

Reliable, versatile compact SUV.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Haven't had any major problems in the past 8 years. Tan leather seats, sunroof. Love the seat warmers. Holds a lot, especially for a small SUV, I have used it to move multiple times. Works pretty well in snow and ice with all season tires. Can play music through CD, aux, Bluetooth, or USB port.

- Kristin V

Large and safe car for a family

2011 Ford Escape XLT

This is a perfect car for a family. It is large, it is very safe, and it is great for shopping. It also has a lot of space for big items. This car drives very smooth. The gas pedal can feel loose at first but it's easy to get used to. I feel very safe in my car and I am glad I chose this car.

- Michelle G

Escape, a Great Ride - You will enjoy the ride

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I have no complaints about my car, no problems - it's a great car. The gas mileage is good, option of Sirius radio station, and heated seats are great. I use the cruise control and button when going down hills. I purchased my own winter tires and change them back and forth every year.

- Chris G

Versatile SUV with room to spare.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Easy to get in and out of. Large cargo space, seats 5, handles more like a car than a truck. Love the backup camera. Heated seats a plus. Do not use the sunroof much as you can be blinded while driving. It also had a leak. Controls are great and information displayed better than usual.

- Frank D

It's a good vehicle and runs great.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

The vehicle is good car, I've owned it for 2 years with no problems. The downfall of the vehicle is the leather seats, and not much room in the back seat. I would also have to say it would be better if it was 4 wheel drive. Other than that I am pretty happy with my purchase.

- Heather N

My escape is a great vehicle

2011 Ford Escape XLT

It is very reliable. Fuel mileage is about 22 miles per gallon. I have approximately two hundred thousand miles on it and have only had to replace suspension. Normal oil change is done every ten thousand miles with Mobil one full synthetic oil. My wife loves to drive it

- Chad P

Overall, I do like this car. I drive a lot so it does the job.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

This car rusts really easily. It also is a really base model with no perks or extra bells and whistles. Overall though I have not had any major issues with this car. I like the color that is light grey. The air conditioning works super well. And it gets good mileage.

- Kelsey T

Microsoft sync works well with Bluetooth.

2011 ford escape red in color

2011 Ford Escape XLT

It's a nice car but since we got it we have had to take it to the dealership multiple times for recalls and so fourth. Its comfortable to ride it and sit in for a period of time. It drives very well. Overall this is a decent car and I would consider buying it again

- Lisa F

Nice 4 door with power windows.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Very nice car. Has transmission problems often, but that's about it. Nice interior, nice cool air, lots of space. The back has lots of room for storage. Good on gas mileage. Parts for this year make are not expensive at all. Very good battery life. I love this car!

- Christina Y

My Ford Escape is big enough for me but not too big for the road

2011 Ford Escape XLT

It has smooth highway driving, awesome breaks and does great with gas. I can drive for hours without filling up and the AC blows perfectly. It also is spacious enough for my small family. I can store things in the back and take my entire family with me.

- Tiffany D

Great everyday all weather car.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I have a white ford escape. The car is reliable and durable. I have had it for 8 years and have only had few issues with it. I drive it all year in all weather and love it. There is enough room for everything I need. I feel safe driving kids around in it.

- Katie L

Reliable car. Great family vehicle.

2011 Ford Escape XLT

The escape is very roomie. You can easily for the car seats in the back. The seats fold flat for extra storage space in the trunk. The escape is a very reliable and very sturdy vehicle. The escape is very comfortable to drive on long distance road trips.

- Jessica L

Reliability, Room, and Good Mid Range Car

2011 Ford Escape XLT

Nearly 100,000 miles and no major repairs! The most reliable car I have had. Lots of room to carry things, easy fold down seats. Front seats a little on the cheap side for comfort. Love the all wheel drive. Turning radius is poor. I like the Ford brand.

- Catherine M

Nice car for Singles and Families!

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I love my cross over it provide reliability in bad weather. The extra space is also ideal for families of 2 or more. The space can also be beneficial for students taking all their things back to school. The gas is also good per mileage on this vehicle.

- Angela W

2011 FORD Escape: Great reliability but lacking on features

2011 Ford Escape XLT

I love the durability of my car. I just wish it was a little bigger and had more space in the trunk. My car has lasted a very long time which I love about it. I wish it had some more modern features like digital radio, heated seats, leather seats, etc.
