Models also known as Trim Levels, are used to identify a vehicle's level of equipment or special features.
Comfortable and roomy with plenty of trunk space and a stylish frame and rides smoothly. The vehicle is beautiful and reliable with tons of space. Good sound system and beautiful interior with a nice paint job.
I currently have 237000 miles in my 2005 Expedition and she runs like a champ. The air still blows cold and the v8 engine is still very peppy. I know she will always get me where I need to go as long as I keep her in oil changes and tires.
The safety system with side airbags as well as front airbags is a feature that I love. I also like the dual temperature controls. I enjoy that I do not have to adjust the seat every time my husband drives the vehicle as it is possible to save his settings and my settings with the push of a button. I feel that having the volume controls and temperature controls on the steering wheel increases my family's safety while driving.
My 2005 ford is a champ and a workhorse. She has 240,000 miles and I am sure she will reach 300,000. No rust, cold air, always there when I need her. I just keep the oil changed and brakes and tires good and she is good to go.
It has a lot of space and comfortably fits the entire family. It also has to option to fold the back seats down to fit a lots of groceries and other things in the trunk. The air conditioning also flows very well throughout the entire vehicle.
The vehicle goes through a lot of gas but is pretty good otherwise. There is nothing else wrong with the vehicle besides it runs low on air in the tires and needs constant upkeep. This vehicle is definitely not maintenance free.
The only con with the Expedition would be the low gas mileage. I, on average, only get 12 miles per gallon. Luckily I do not drive far distances or I would be forever filling up at the pumps. Oh and the size plastic brush guard trim has faded badly.
There is no way to lock the back stereo controls so only the front has control. We have trouble with the display system that shows information not working at times. It is not a huge problem but it is annoying. The child safety lock is difficult to engage.
The only con I can think of is the mpg that my expedition gets. It think it is around 12 and round $52 to fill her up. I also have to check her oil monthly because she burns some. I am told this is a common occurrence in older vehicles.
It is always breaking down and needing parts replaced. Even when new parts are put in, it does not guarantee that the car will work well. It also uses a lot of gas regularly, the mileage is horrible, as expected with a ford.
The 2005 Ford Expedition has an average owner rating of 4.40 out of 5 which ranks it #6 of 9 other Full Size SUVs.
