This little gem of a vehicle will make you very satisfied.

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

I bought this vehicle at a pretty high mileage and it still has given me a good bang for my buck. The bearings on both sides have went bad. Have replaced the front and back rotors and brakes and the sway bar but this wasn't until 220.000 miles. It has been an awesome vehicle. It has made me a believer in explorers being great cars. It starts every time. The gas mileage is just fair to partly cloudy. Not the greatest. The backseat is fairly comfortable. The front seats are very comfortable. I like the fact that the backseat can lay down flat and give way more room for things that you may want to put in their or load.Wasn't real crazy about the color inside but I deal with it because all in all this car has been a gem. I will also say at 240.000 miles there are things starting to have problems but I guess with any car this happens at a high mileage and has to be serviced.

Toughbuilt, and built to be tough!

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

This is most definitely the best vehicle that I've owned, therefore, my favorite! It's fully loaded with everything that a driver could and would want! Electric everything, sunroof, back hatch, fold down seats, ect...like I stated..everything you could possibly want! It also has 4WD. If you live in the state or surrounding areas that I'm from, you'll know that's a no brainer to have on ones all vehicle! This Explorer drives smoothes, uses regular unleaded gas or E85, which is less expensive to fill up with. The best part of it all is that this baby is built great! Has hardly cost a thing at the shop so I'm very happy with my Ford Explorer!

Exploring explorer aka the beast.

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

It runs pretty good for how old it is and the high mileage it has. We do have some kind of small leak in the evap system. Have a running lean code. We have driven it cross country twice now and the beast is still going strong, otherwise. It is a basic model, but has automatic locks, windows. Upgraded the radio to fit our needs with a iPod lover driving it! Overall, it is the best car I have owned.

I bought it five years ago and it only had 55,000 miles and now 91,000.

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

There is a crack on the tailgate. Recently the vehicle has been killing while driving. I brought it into the repair shop and they cannot figure out the problem. I am going to bring it to get a second opinion. These are the only problems I've had In the 5 years I've owned it. I like it because it tows my boat just fine.

Longevity of the Ford Explorer

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

I love this vehicle. It's when vehicles were built well. It has been reliable with very few repairs to the alternator and thermostat housing, which are not uncommon issues for this vehicle. It has high mileage, but rarely do I see these vehicles on used car lots because people drive them indefinitely.

2004 Ford Explorer Touring Edition

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

Runs and drives great, well maintained by Ford certified technicians. Smooth handling, great on gas. Very reliable vehicle daily driver 30 miles daily for work 5 days a week, then additional miles for household needs or mini vacations. Ac runs cold, no additional problems for a vehicle in this condition.

Ford is amazing and they are very reliable for all reasons for driving.

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

I really love this vehicle the performance is great its reliable and getting maintenance done isn't that expensive I think I have made a very good deal getting this vehicle and I wouldn't choose another option besides ford they are great to have for any reason rather travel or just for everyday usage.

I love the size the most. I also enjoy the gas mileage.

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

I enjoy that the size is small enough that I can judge distances and yet it is big enough that I can carry my family on trips with me. I enjoy the space. I love the gas mileage. We drive quite a bit and this is wonderful for us. I hope to pass this vehicle down to our children.

car is a mommy mobile. Gets me where I need to go, the look is not that great

2004 Ford Explorer XLS

It makes a whistling sound when I give it gas, the blend door for the ac and heat went out and is expensive to fix. Rides great on the road, love the space with the 2 sets of back seats, hate the v8 engine cost $45 to fill up. The paint hasn't lasted very long
