2001 ford f150 good buy for a used truck.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

I have replaced the front upper control arms on both sides. The lower ball joints on both sides in the front of the truck. It has had a miss in the engine that has consistently gotten worse. I have narrowed it down to clogged egr ports in the throttle body. It does drive nice and it will haul what I need it to. I have driven it from south West Florida to Milwaukee Wisconsin. It was a very comfortable ride with no issues. The truck had 117000 miles on it when I purchased it. Over all I have been very pleased with this truck. No major issues and parts are fairly cheap for it.

Ford super crews will stand the test of time.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

My f-150 is a 2001 model. It for the most part runs pretty good but has some issues. It is very cold blooded. It does not like to run very well on cold mornings. Also the heater and air conditioner went out the same year which is annoying. For the age and mileage it is still in pretty good shape. The clear coat is coming off in a few places which means the paint will start having some issues. For a vehicle that is nearly 20 years old and has been driven pretty hard it is still a good truck. Ford makes a tough truck.

The strong and mighty f-150

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

Love the fact that it is the 4 door model. Use to use it for business and the extra cab room came in handy. Has great towing capability as well. Has never left me stranded and still drives well, even with 170000 miles on it. Only problem I had was when during the summer the air compressor went out and ford was out of stock on them nationwide. It come back in stock after a couple of weeks and I did not have to drive far.

2001 ford f -150 reviewing.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

My vehicle has been a great vehicles. There's been some minor problems as with any vehicle. It easily fits my family of five comfortably. I love the super cab. My children have plenty of room. I love that it's a 4 wheel drive. I am not to happy with the color which is white but it works. I would definitely buy another newer model if I had the money.

The interesting detail is how the previous owner actually added the camera

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

I haven't had any problems other than the fact my headlight keeps going out as I'm driving. I am perfectly satisfied with my car after I fixed the light. The person I had bought it from actually installed a camera you can see when you're backing out. It works so great. The truck was built for something as good as this.

Good for one person working vehicle but not a family vehicle.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

I really bought my truck so that I can haul things to scrap yard. It's a good truck for working but as for a family vehicle I don't like it. As for the front seat ot sucks because if you want to move driver seat up you are pulling up passenger and driver seat so if your passenger has long legs they going to be cramp up.

Solid truck that get the job done.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

The air conditioning has a knocking noise when I turn it on. I don't have four wheel drive which is my problem not the turks. The truck can shake when you get over 65 miles per hour. The truck bed is long enough for what I need it for. However, it does look quite rough so you may want to line it with a truck bed liner.

Love my truck. Motor and transmission still working great.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

I have never had to do any large repairs. The air conditioner has been the largest out pay I have had. The rear differential leaked at one time and it has had brake repair, which were normal wear. The spark plugs are a hassle to change and can be costly to change. The motor and transmission have approx. 240000 miles.

Good vehicle for the outdoor enthusiast

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

Good solid vehicle. Has been very reliable, with only a few minor issues. Great vehicle for off road use. Has good cargo capacity. Only concern is poor gas mileage, but that is to be expected with a full size truck. Gets around well in northern Minnesota winter weather, even in a foot of snow. Easily serviced.

Ford Still Running 18 Years Later

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

I recently had to replace the brakes and the coolant on the car with other repairs totaling 800$. It also eats up gas like no other which gets expensive quick. I love that it is durable and the interior has pass the test of time. Also, the ability of a truck is endless and has helped out many projects of mine.

Love of my truck be patient when looking for your vehicle

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

I love my truck. I've had it for going on three years I haven't had to put much work into it at all besides the oil being changed when it need to be. The only big thing I really had to fix was my cruise control regulator under my hood it went out other than that been a great truck for the price I paid for it

2001 ford f-150 supercrew. Very dependable, hard working vehicle.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

The VHS tape player quit working about 4 years ago. Does have an occasional slip in it. My vehicle is my daily driver and it has 197,+ miles. Oil has been changed regularly. The clear coat is wearing off. It is in great shape and I would take it to Ohio if I needed to and not worry about breaking down.

- Jessie L

My truck offers a very comfortable ride and roomy interior.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

My Ford F-150 is a very reliable truck. I use my truck for daily driving as well as for hauling and camping. This is my second f-150 and I have always had good fortune with the trucks I have owned. I would highly recommend a Ford F-150 to anyone looking to purchase a good and reliable pickup truck!

- Brian P

It is great on gas considering it has a v8 engine in it.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

Truck runs very well I have had a few issues with sensors in the transmission and front end parts like ball joints and tie rod ends other than that it is a great vehicle it is very comfortable inside has a full 8 foot bed and it is really easy on gas considering it is got a v8 engine in it.

2001 Ford F-150 well built and reliable.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

2001 Ford F-150 XLT is a good and reliable truck. Though of course you encounter your normal mess ups and wear and tear over years of use but all things considered well worth the price that was paid for it. Have had very few issues with the vehicle over the time I have owned it.

2001 Ford F150 extended cab.

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

Very reliable, decent fuel mileage, comfortable for longer trips. Location of spare tire is a major problem as it is susceptible to rust. Factory sound system is not terrible, but can be improved. Air conditioning system is very effective. Overall, would purchase it again.

4.2 L V6 XLT Very comfortable and excellent towing ability. .

2001 Ford F-150 XLT

Purchased in 2002 with 20k miles. Now has 281k + miles. Has been a joy for all these years. Minor repairs. The only major repair was computer replacement @ 280k miles. I have enjoyed the vehicle and oil changes and general maintenance are covered on a regular basis.
