My 2018 F150 always pulls to the left

This is my fourth F150, loved every one of them, except this one and the first one I really don't like. I bought this 2018 XLT 3.5 L, V6 Ecoboost Supercrew new in Feb of 2018. On the second day I noticed it always pulled to the left no matter whether the road crowns or is super flat. Took it back to the Ford dealership, they had it for a full day, did a test drive, and told me they did an alignment and rotated the tires, and they said there was nothing actually wrong with the truck, and that it will pull some because of these 275/55R All Terrain tires. Really !!?? Ok then it should pull to the right as often as to the left, but it doesn't do that, it always pulls to the left. A few weeks later I got so fed up with this pulling so I took it back again. And again same story, nothing wrong with the car. I need the truck for my daily work, so several months later I took the truck back again to the dealership, and this time I insisted on a test drive with the head mechanic before any work stated. He agreed that it pulled to the left much more than it should. This time the repair resulted in less pulling to the left but now there is a nasty vibration at 70-90 kms speed. Back to the dealer again, and again a test drive with the head mechanic, he said he did not feel any vibration. Really!!?? What does it take? He said that because of the government's directive to make cars and trucks more fuel efficient Ford came out with the 10-speed gearbox and that it will shift into a higher gear than it should at low speeds resulting in a "bit" of vibration "but that is normal". Really!!?? So why was there no vibration earlier with the pulling but now there is a vibration. Very Frustrated. Ok, now about that 10-speed gear box, I love the speed with which it excellerates, but it NEVER uses 2nd and 4th gears (unless you put it in Manual drive) so what is the benefit? Ok and don't get me started on the automatic engine shut-off at intersections, not my favorite> This has become a long rant, but I so loved my 2010, 2013 and my 2015 F150's that I am so surprised that this 2018 model is not "what it used to be". My advise? Wait untill Ford finally goes back to a 6-speed gearbox or maybe an 8-speed but the 10-speed is useless in my opinion. So there, I feel so much better now. :) My advice: don't buy

Transmission leaking oil

On January 14, 2019, I bought a brand new 2018 f 150 drove it home from the dealership and there was a puddle of oil under the truck, the next day I returned the truck to the dealer . I waited over a week to have the seal replaced. When I got the vehicle home finally, the next day there is another puddle of transmission oil under the truck again. I returned it again to the dealer to have them try and determine why it was still leaking fluid. After the dealership having my truck for 2 weeks could not really determine why the transmission was leaking. They thought it was some valve but weren’t sure and didn’t know the cause. After a lengthy discussion the sales manager intially said they would just replace the truck with another unit which was exactly the same because the MacLin Ford dealership stands behind there customer. Then, at the last minute , just prior to transferring my personal item from first truck to the replacement truck the sales manager said they needed $14,000 difference. I had paid cash for the initial purchase. After getting lead down the garden path and him trying to shock me into writing him a cheque we had words and I was not to polite to say the least. It has been a month since the initial purchase ( paid cash) of my new Ford F-150 and it is still sitting in the dealership supposedly awaiting on Ford parts. They are saying it could take a couple more weeks. After buy 19 new ford vehicles throughout my life . Dealing at MacLin Ford in Calgary has been the worst vehicle purchasing experience ever, bar none! The limited miles/kilometres I have driven it back and for to the dealership to try and get it fix doesn’t really give the true driving experience one should hope for. But other than these issues with this particular truck I think Ford still builds a decent truck.

Great truck for someone who drives a lot, or hauls around the family a lot.

I love my F-150 so far. I purchased the sport version because I locked the look of less chrome on the body and grill. Plus I love the feel of the shifter in the middle and the center console is huge and nice for storing things. There is tons of space in the back seat for hauling all of our belongings as well as our kids. Plenty of legroom for adults too! I have been very happy with the fuel economy as well. I averaged about 22 mpg last summer and around 18.5 this winter. The twin turbo ecoboost helps the truck still have great power with the added mpgs. Biggest downside of the truck so far is that I haven't owned it for a year yet and it's already had 3 recalls, but at least the issues are getting fixed. Also the antenna sits pretty high on the truck and my garage door only sits at 7 feet tall, so it always rubs on the door when I head in or out of the garage, causing the foam insulation to gouge out in places. Overall, great truck. I love the comfort and space provided by the vehicle, the sync system and voice activated GPS are awesome to have as well.
