Models also known as Trim Levels, are used to identify a vehicle's level of equipment or special features.
The pros are the leather heated seats, sun and moon roofs, rear camera, jukebox feature, Bluetooth feature, interior lighting, collapsible seating, electric buttons to close seating and close the trunk, and the sleek design.
The ford flex get roughly 20 mpg, 7/6 passenger seating, or it can all be cargo space. The flex and Taurus share the same power train so parts are affordable and available. It is been around over a decade, the used market has many great flex's for sale.
The ford flex is very spacious. We enjoy the 3 rows. It is pretty good on gas. The biggest drawback for me is the lack of trunk space. We have 3 kids and it is hard to fit strollers and their things. Overall we really like our car.
It cannot handle rough conditions very well. It is a must to have tires with good traction if you live in areas that have adverse weather. Snow, heavy rain, black ice, and slick dirt roads are not ideal for the ford flex.
I have the base model, the only things I'd change ford has a package for it. Those who can afford fords upper end packages can expect 400 plus hp, AWD, ecoboost, and upgraded suspension. The base model flex is more than enough as cars go, but if you wanted a little more luxury ford has you covered.
The biggest issue I have is the lack of trunk space. When we travel as a family there's little room for all our things. We have 3 children so we need the space. We have had issues with the electrical. Maybe it is just ours.
The 2012 Ford Flex has an average owner rating of 4.43 out of 5 which ranks it #11 of 22 other Midsize SUVs.
