Great family SUV for people who do not like minivans.
I have 4 kids so the ford flex is perfect for us! It has three rows and 7 seats! You can put the third row down to turn it into a 5 seat SUV. The trunk space is spacious with and without the back seats up. It has sunroofs and big windows which I love so you will not feel claustrophobic in the third row seats.

Tall people can fit into back seat comfortably.
Vehicle is excellent as it fits 7 full adults. We are not short people, so room in the back seat is what help sell us on this vehicle. The full third row is a plus as well. Mechanically not many issues in the 4 years that we have had the vehicle, only one official recall.

Ample legroom, reliable and easy to drive.
We chose the flex first of all for the leg room in the 3rd row. I have 3 teenage boys all over 6’. There is plenty of room and the ride is smooth. We also live in the city so the flex is easy to park and maneuver in tight spaces. It is reliable and has had zero issues. We lived the flex so much this is actually our second one.

Flexible car for the family!
I love my ford flex! I have had it for 3 months and it is been riding very smoothly, quiet cabin inside. Love the 3rd row for my kids and able to give grandparents a ride with ease; not high and not too low sits perfect. Gas is ok not bad! Overall great purchase and very safe car.

It had a lot of space inside for passengers and when not using the back row you have more trunk space.
Enjoy my car very much, has ample enough room, drives very easily, very reliable car.

Great for families and road trips. Hatchback does rattle a little bit.
I like the body style and size. It is easy to drive and very comfortable for all passengers

Ford flex: comfort and reliability.
I have had no problems with this vehicle. Has a lot of get up and go, enough to squeal tires. Performance wise it has been a very reliable vehicle that I can count on to start right up when have to go anywhere. I love how my phone immediately connects to the car. I also have the heated seats that are very nice in the winter. It is easy to adjust the comfort of each seat as well.

Comfort & reliance. Snow and ice have never been an issue with this car.
It is gives the comfort of a luxury car and the endurance and feel of a truck. It drives beautifully on the highway (tends to not feel as fast as what the speedometer says!). This is our second flex. There have been no performance issues. For the size of the vehicle, the gas mileage is very good.

Ford flex horror stories from first-hand experience.
The seats are an atrocity in the back. Its fold up 3rd row seat hardly gives you room to breathe. Your legs are smashed entirely. The seat belts are a joke in the back too. How is that even legal? Pieces of the door paneling fall off too. This cars pretty trashy.

Comfortable 24 7 and can travel with at least 7 adults and 9 children if needed.
Completely satisfied with our comfortable 3 rows of seats that lay flat if I need to haul things.

The idea is nice. It is very comfortable.
The 3rd row is not easy to get into. Besides that it is a very comfortable car and fits a lot of people.

Ford flex the ultimate family vehicle.
Back-up camera has issues and works off and on. Tire sensors keep going bad. Terrible gas mileage. Roomy, third row seating, automatic open/close for rear hatch, Bluetooth, heated seats, handsfree calling, back-up camera, luggage rack, smooth ride.F.

Lots of room for luggage.
We have had our car for 2 years and love it. Have not had any issues. Drives and rides great. Have a time of room.

Pros from Owners

I love the Flex It is my favorite car I have driven and this is my second. It is large and yet handles like a car Plenty of cargo space and plenty of seats. It is such a wonderful car. Cons none that I can think of.

likeFilled Dave D.

It's very roomy and comfy. Stylish and a lot of features like Bluetooth, all wheel drive, a great display, Wi-Fi, power seats, heated seats, fog lights, CD changer the list goes on and on to many to list. I am very happy my wife and I picked this car instead of the focus like we planned. I would definitely buy this again.

The Ford Flex is quite roomy with plenty of space in the rear compartment when the back row seating is folded down. It travels nicely in town and on the highway. The instrument panel is well lit and is easy access and navigate.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Ron B.

They are not going to make it anymore. Other than that I really love it and It is my favorite car that I have driven I think the buttons are great and the trim package is lovely. It handles well and I really have no complaints. I am really sorry that Ford is not going to continue the Flex.

dislikeFilled Dave D.

The cons would be it goes through a lot of gas and the traction is not good. I cannot really say that many bad things about this car. It is the best one we ever owned. It is hard to park as it is pretty big. To many blind spots but that's expected because it's a big car.

dislikeFilled Chris F.

I am hard pressed to find any cons to the Ford Flex that could not have been remedied by simply choosing a model that had the item that I need. Specifically a roof rack. I think that all the models should come with both a roof rack and a hauling package.
