I like that it is good on gas, cheap to fill up. I don't like the size, it is to small. Also repair costs are minimal.

I was severely rear ended and the car took the impact like a champ.
The car is 16 years old and still runs fairly well. We have had to replace the tires from wear and tear but that is a given. The car has also needed an internal temperature gage replaced as well (it was overheating) and the steering and alignment occasionally need a tune a up.

Very few problems with my car and very efficient
My focus gets excellent mileage one of the best gas saving vehicles I've ever owned. It gets up to speed quickly is lightweight so it maneuvers well through traffic. I've had very few problems with it but the ones I've had are pertaining to the brakes and once a clogged air filter

Although this car is good on gas it’s a POS you fix one think something else breaks fix that and again there’s another issue. The engine in the car is basically non existent has no pickup and drones. Tons of issues.

I like my hatchback car. I like the adventure and thrill of a 5 seat car.
I enjoy my car very much. It is easy to put a lot of big items in the trunk. I can fit up to 4 other people in the car. It can handle rough terrain. It can drive long distances. I have taken it to Yosemite, Tahoe, and many other places on mini adventures.

Great ride, but breaks the bank.
I love my car, I bought it used a few months ago. Despite my love for it, I have filtered a lot of money into it. There seems to be a lot of problems with wiring and tubing, and the check engine light has come on three times in the past two months. It is expected for a car this old and used heavily, but it is really rough on my bank account.

Pros and cons of a Ford Focus.
It gets great gas mileage. The only constant problem that I have had with this car over the years is that the front struts are constantly snapping, and have to be replaced. For a smaller car, it has quite a lot of trunk space for groceries or packing for trips.

This is a decent sized car for the price it's great in gas and is easy to handle. The radio system is awesome it does seem to need minor maintenance on some things. The seats are comfortable and the trunk has a lot of storage room. The motor doesn't seem to need a lot of maintenance if you take care of the car

Overall excellent car with AMAZING fuel economy
Small yet very spacious. Gets about 25 mpg in town and about 32 mpg on the highway which makes this an excellent car for me since I live on social security disability and have quite a few medical appointments every month. Has a very nice factory stereo in it with awesome base. The only problem I have with it is the fact it likes to power off on occasion on it's own. Something went out on the heating system has went out and only blows on defrost and the power steering went out. It does like to lock on it's own so I do not recommend leaving it running with the windows up. I would recommend a better storage area for the console in between the front seats. The dash lights are not very bright either. The headlights are super bright both on dim and bright. And I hate the fact they come with aluminum rims. The trunk is super spacious.

It's been through a lot. My parents' bought it used for my sister in '07 and I inherited it from her in 2015. It's had to have some work done, and I don't know that I would trust it for long journeys, but for getting around town it's just fine.
It's fine for what I need - just getting around town. It's nothing fancy, and the ac is not the best, but it's functional and comfortable enough. Good amount of space for what I use it for (mostly groceries and laundry), and the gas mileage is decent. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Well the rim's are bent from all the potholes here in Indy. So I need to get a set of rim's. I need new tires. The heat shield under the car came loose. So it needs welded back on to the body of the car. The transmission does not work in overdrive. So it needs some work.

My Ford Focus 2002 is very economical when it comes to filling up with gas. The only thing is that it does not have Bluetooth and you have to roll down the windows manually. It is very comfortable to drive. It is very smooth. It does not have any modern features though. But if you are looking for a way to get to school or work this is a excellent car to own. Very compact yet elegant car!

My ford focus has seen a lot of action.
Right now, I need new brakes, plug wires and an oil change, but it is an old car with almost 300k miles on it. It's a comfortable little car, and for as old as it is, it starts up everyday and has quite a bit of zip left. Sometimes the electrical system is unpredictable, tail light goes out/comes back on, stereo turns off/turns back on, but nothing major.

I've had it for almost 17 years and it seems that the last five years has been nothing but repairs and I only have 80,00 miles on it. I keep the oil changed every 3,000 miles and make sure to do all the regular maintenance. So although being a safe and good driver, the car hasn't help up as well as I thought it would of. It was the top of the line when I bought it.
I like the car because it is easy to handle, but the mileage isn't what the new cars have and the trunk opens awkwardly with a smaller than normal opening.

It was inexpensive for the better model at the time and it's fully paid off. It's nice having no car payments. It still gets decent mileage for such an old car, but I want to upgrade to electric to do even better. It has lots of nicks and scratches after 16 years on the road.

Ford Focus: last resort car.
The trunk has one of those inside release pulls that gets stuck pretty often, meaning our trunk does not lock. The fuel filter is extremely difficult to change because of how and where its placed. The headlights are also extremely difficult to change for headlights as you must stick your hand in a pringles can size tube and squeeze a latch. Besides that, the car drives well. We drive a manual version of the car, so its really great on gas. The inside of the car is actually pretty nice, even if a little dull. Everything is pretty grey, but easy to access and use everything.

My 2002 Ford Focus lx is a gas saver. The only problem I don't like about the car are the arm rest in between the driver and passenger is weak. Often breaks. Performance wise my Focus is okay. I bought it used and have been able to save a lot of money due to its 4 cylinder. This car is not being mad3 or sold anymore in the USA.

Runs well, it is the station wagon that ford does not sell here in the United States. It is easy to maintain. It has had its problems. Just had to replace the catalytic converter after 9 years when it was last replaced. When I purchased in used in 2011, I had to replace the coil pack, shocks, tires, the rear hatch switch and the center armrest.

Great gas mileage, only normal maintenance required. Only normal maintenance has been required for the most part. Had a problem with the battery cables being loose but that was fixed at a very low cost. Easy to park, paint job is still perfect after 17 years. Not problems with wiring, AC, or other.

The svt focus is surprisingly quick and handles well. The only downside to it is that parts can be hard to find since it is not the same as a regular focus. I only recommend this car if you work on them yourself.

I like the fact that it is a wagon, there is plenty of room for my odds and ends plus enough room to bring my lab along. The back seat folds down enabling use to move things when needed. The cars performance is great but it lays low so it does make driving on a bumpy road is not the most pleasant drive. The car could be improved if they made some ac vents in the back so the driver and passenger don't freeze while keeping the back people cool in the hot summer days.

This vehicle has been great. We've had some issues but who wouldn't since I was using it as my vehicle for the postal service. It rides great and very comfortable. The price we paid was reasonable. It has electric locks and windows which makes it so much simpler. I also have a key daub which makes it easy to lock and unlock the doors quickly in this business position. All I can say is that I LOVE MY CAR!

Components of the vehicle.
I really enjoy my vehicle, it gets me from point A to point B. So far it has been great. I think that the breaks might squeal on occasion, but it does not seem to have any issues stopping at the stop light. When it rains outside, it kind acts funny driving in the rain once in a while. The tires seems to be good on the vehicle. I still need to get a spare tire but have not been able to up to this point, but I know I will get one when I can afford to do so. Overall it's pretty smooth ride and have not had any real problems with it. May need an oil change and tune up which I have not managed to find out about, but will hopefully be able to take care of as soon as I possibly can. It's a great running vehicle and I am glad I have it.

2002 Ford Focus SVT 2.0 Dual overhead cam
2002 Ford Focus SVT 2.0 Dual Overhead Valve engine. 170 hp 145 torque, 3 door hatch, 6 speed transmission. Plenty of power off the line, clutch is pretty decent, for a 2002 car it handles very well great in the corners. This is not a drag race car but a run sporty grocery getter. It has decent gas mileage, the SVT engine is turned up higher than all the other Zetec engines so it doesn't have the greatest fuel economy but it's still pretty decent. Parts are hard to find since they only made the SVT from 2002 to 2004 and there are is a difference in some parts from the first year they made them and the rest.

Great commuter vehicle for young professional or college student.
My Focus has been extremely good to me. It is the perfect commuter car with plenty of room for driver and passenger, though I wouldn't recommend long road trips with passengers in the back seat, as it is a bit small. I prefer the manual, which gives me the feeling of being a bit more in control.

The car has been very reliable for our family. The only thing I am not thrilled with regarding my Focus is the pick up. I did know this when I purchased it though. It is a great little car for shopping and getting the kids to school.

It gets, very good gas mileage. Most Ford Focus cars seem to do.
It's blue, clean, and gets good gas mileage. I have no complaints.
