If it wasn't one thing going wrong it was another. First some type of shielding fell off the bottom. Then it was having trouble locking and unlocking, I even had trouble with the fuel sensor, finally the transmission sensor went out and the local ford place didn't have the part and said it was very hard to get. I regret ever being suckered into buying it, and would never have kept it longer than a month if my warranty hadn't covered the costs if all but the last problem.

Compact with plenty of leg room still great on gas and has plenty of cargo space.
I enjoy my vehicle thoroughly! It has not left me stranded in the 3+ years of ownership! It does occasionally have a weird shudder but for a 7 year old car I cannot complain a bit! The fuel economy is amazing and it has a pretty decent amount of get up and go, not a race car by any means but definitely enough to let you pass that pesky tractor trailer!

Ford 2013 runs smoothly for 8 years.
Since I have had my car I haven't had any major problems with it. The only major problem I have had is the brakes wearing down. Otherwise I have only had to get my oil changed and tires rotated. The car runs really well but does make some weird noises when it is cold.

Reliable, but not great car.
Windows will not won't roll down any longer. Very jerky while driving, transmission I believe. Had to be taken in multiple times for recalls and transmission issues. Air conditioner buttons don't work at times. Good gas mileage, reliable. Windows not rolling down is very frustrating.

I am really a fan of ford's 'flex fuel'.
I have had no problems with the car, always starts, never leaks, extremely reliable. Regular preventive maintenance ensure that the car always runs and functions at peak quality. There are several recalls on the vehicle, after the recalls were installed in the car I have not seen any problems with the car.

Transmission fail for 2013 ford focus.
The transmission shifts rough a lot. It is because of the design by ford for that year model. It is a very compact car, but still 4 doors. Room in the back is very limited, but does seem like a reliable car otherwise. I like how I can fill up the tank for $20.

Itty bitty living space, but plenty of benefits to make up for it.
The vehicle itself gets great gas mileage and is fun to drive. With it is compact size, it fits just about anywhere and is easy to park and maneuver in tight spaces. However, with the ongoing transmission issues that are manufacturer based, it makes being able to rely on this vehicle difficult. The interior of the vehicle is also rather small, even for a compact car. It does have a lot of trunk space, which is good for traveling and grocery shopping.

My 2013 ford focus nightmare!
I bought my car certified used, with 28,000 miles on it... Loaded with all sorts of 'bells and whistles' on it. However, there have been several recalls on it, which has frustrated me to no end. It's a beautiful blue color with lavender in the paint. I am seriously thinking about trading it in on a different vehicle.

A compact, fun, car with amazing gas mileage!
It has a recalled type transmission, so that needs to get fixed often. The accelerating will be sort of jumpy for a while until it gets fixed. The car is the perfect size for a small family and has amazing gas mileage. It is cute and comfortable. It is equipped with Bluetooth but has a simple control deck without too many bells and whistles.

Easy car with ample room for stuff.
It is a great car! Very comfortable and I feel confident driving it. Lots of recalls and a bad door rattle I haven’t been able to fix but otherwise it is been fantastic. Holds a surprising amount of stuff and great for trips! Wouldn’t be comfortable with more than 4 passengers.

I love that it is not to big.
My vehicle is really nice. It gets amazing gas mileage. They only thing I do not really like is that you have a bigger family the backseat is small it is big enough for small children but 10 and up it might be a little cramped. It is a good car to start off with when it is just you by yourself.

Ford focus. It is perfect if you don't want too much of an expensive car.
I really enjoy this car. So far there has been no problems and for such an affordable price. I highly suggest this car if you are looking for one. The drive is smooth and it's kind of a small car. It is perfect if that's your taste. I use it all the time and bought it used. So far nothing is wrong so it will last you a good amount of time.

Ford focus review. Basic review for 2013 ford focus.
Since purchasing this vehicle I've had to put it in the auto shop at least twice a year. Usually due to a major recall sent out by the manufacturer. The car is pretty good when driving in the rain and snow. I can travel up to 300 hundred mile before I need gas. Driving long distances in the car is pretty comfortable while sitting.

I like that when the keys are close it unlocks automatically.
It is so comfortable, and I haven't had any problems! It is my first car, bought used and love it! So sleek, drives like a dream! There is plenty of room in the hatchback, and seats fold down nicely. Comes with a nice little speaker. Love the push start!

Dependable and perfect for a small family!
It really is a great dependable car for the most part. Just slight transmission problems. I have had this car for over a year and it is the second focus I have owned. The first went through Vietnam and back so I am hoping this one will too. Excellent choice for a small family vehicle.

I love my ford escape 2013!
I own a ford focus 2013. I have had it for almost 3 years now. What I love about it is I've always wanted an SUV but they are always too big for me. The ford focus is perfect for me in the sense that it's still an SUV but not too big. Parking is simple, and the adjustments in it are nice for me to be able to see (I am shorter). It has a lever on the left side of the seat that lifts the seat up. The only thing I would say negatively about the car is the back seat isn't very spacious. However it isn't often I have 3 people back there so that's not a problem. Overall I love the vehicle.

The car is small but has plenty of storage space.
I like my vehicle because it is small but not too small, has adequate storage, and is easy to maintain. It is easy to set up Bluetooth and connect music to the car using the USB drive in the center console. It gets good gas mileage as well. There have been a few recalls on the car but ford has always been good about fixing them in a nice time frame and my local dealership is nice to work with.

Reliable ride with features for the whole family.
I drive a 2013 ford focus. It gets about 23 mpg in town and 35 or so on the highway. I have not done much as far as repairs go. The basics such as tires, battery, and oil changes are the extent of the repairs. The vehicle rides well, has cold air and heat. I love the heated seats too! The car does drive like a ford with some shaking sometimes. It is annoying and you'll swear the transmission is going out. Insurance for this car runs about $50 per month. It has navigation and sirius xm availability. This makes the commute or driving to strange areas manageable. The hatchback is great for hauling groceries, sports equipment, luggage, band instruments and gardening supplies.

Zippy car with minimal issues.
Love this car, it is very reliable. Hatchback is quite roomy and fits a decent amount of cargo. Despite the small engine there is quite a bit of torque. Stock radio has known issues, had to replace mine because it sounded like aliens were trying to communicate with me through it.
accountCircle Jordan V on May 26, 2021
I can fit 8 foot long dimensional lumber in my vehicle.
The cargo space is great since I have a hatchback, but the transmission slips between first and second gear. I have had 4 recalls on my vehicle. I have also had issues with the door latch on the passenger doors, as my wife has to push the door very hard to open.
accountCircle Mary R on May 20, 2021
Looks good on the outside but the inside is another story.
I've had 10 recalls on my car so I would never buy a ford again. From door latches to clutch issues which I paid to repair and got a refund when the recall for the clutch came to pass. Was supposed to get the airbags replaced but no other company makes airbags. Dangerous.

2013 ford focus has issues that they will not fix.
My 2013 ford focus has a transmission issue that the company knows about but will do very little to fix the issue. I can have it fixed but ford will only pay for certain parts to fix the shuddering problem. Leaving me to fix a problem that is their known defect. I believe if they know the issues they should fix the problems at no cost to the buyer. This car has been nothing but an embarrassment to drive. I will never buy a ford vehicle again.
accountCircle Anthony H on May 15, 2021
Ford focus transmission issues.
The car gets great gas mileage, above 40 mpg on the highway and averages about 35 mpg in city driving. The car itself is very basic. It does not include lane assist, cruise control, or power windows in the back two seats. The car is small with not a lot of room in the back seats and trunk. The worst part of the car has been the transmission issues. The wiring has been messed up several times which has caused a fuse to blow and left me stranded on two separate occasions. The transmission also bucks and kicks when changing from first to second gear, and also from second to third gear. It feels like it will break at any time. I will probably never buy another ford focus after this car.
accountCircle Mark A on May 7, 2021
Roomy hatchback car ford focus with good miles per gallon.
The transmission shutters and seems to slip gears. Other than that it is reliable and gets very good miles per gallon and it is actually room for the driver. The backseat is small but not terrible and seats fold down in the hatch and I can fit a whole bike in the trunk.

White 2013 ford focus se sedan. Dark grey interior.
I love this car however with this year there was something wrong with the transmission to where it would jerk when we pressed the gas to quickly. However I have never had this car leave me stranded anywhere and for that I will always be thankful. It has not had any other problems ever besides the transmission.

I absolutely love my car. The sensors for the oil change and low tire pressure are really off but other than that it is great. I love the space in it (hatchbacks are the best) and the fact that I can put the back seats down to have more room and it drives very smooth.

Ford focus- reliable but has some issues.
It hesitates when accelerating. It is a continuous issue and there is no permanent solution to fix it. There have been a couple recalls but other than that it is been reliable. However, the hesitation when hitting the gas feels like a manual car when it shifts gears.

Decent first car for someone who is small to medium size.
This car is a great first car! It is excellent on gas. It is comfortable if you are small to medium size. This car has a decent-sized backseat and a large trunk to fit many items such as luggage and groceries. The downfall to this car is significant however.

Small red hatchback with cloth seats.
Broke down very easily and sometimes the doors wouldn't latch. I didn't have it for very long and I had to take it in 5 times every year to get something replaced or looked at. Review of the qualities of my focus.
I have a lot of trouble with the engine. It is also pretty compacted in the back seat which makes it hard to comfortable fit people to sit back there. I like having a sunroof. Although it does not have many compartments in the front to be able to put stuff in. No cup holders in the back is not nice either.
accountCircle Julianna H on April 16, 2021
Very nice, high tech,cozy.
I like my vehicle for the most part. One problem I do not love is the fact that it is a 4-cylinder meaning my pick up is quite slow. It is amazing on gas. To fill my tank it only takes about $20. It is quite comfortable and also the interior gives off a newer vibe even though it is a 2013. One problem I have had with it was my all my speedometers stopped working on my screen but it was a super quick and easy fix. All it needed was a quick system reboot. Another thing I have noticed is that it is not great in the snow it is more of a city summer car. Besides all that it is a pretty reliable car, sometimes problematic but I have so far been happy with my buy.

Huge transmission problem. Needed to change it which was extremely expensive. Other than that the car is great. Looks good. Feels good. Nice size. I can park everywhere. It is comfortable. One con is not so much space but it is a sedan so it is obvious.

How I love the car but not the restrictions.
When I first got the car it had restrictions on the keypad such as volume control and speed control and those limitations are the only thing I do not like about the car. The gas mileage is incredible it only takes $25 to fill the tank up. There is plenty of room in the front and back of the car for seating.

Horrible transmission. Ford needs to buy them back.
The transmissions are horrible. Gas mileage is great. They are in a mass lawsuit because of the transmissions. I have had 4 new clutch packs. Three new transmission control modules. Now it is out of warranty so if it goes out again I have to pay for it. I have 84000 miles on it.

Good little car for short people.
I really like my little car, it is just the right size for me. One thing I do not like though is the glove compartment does not close if you have stuff in the way. It would be better if there was some kind of barrier to keep stuff out of the way. Other than that it is a very reliable car.

Worst financial decision I ever made. Hands down.
My car is completely unreliable. Transmission, clutch, electrical all have been fixed multiple times with no success. Zero comfort. Feels like you are riding in a go cart. No room for anything. 2013 Ford Focus: safe, reliable, and fuel efficient.
The car itself is good. It gets me from point A to B. It is quite fuel efficient and that is a huge plus for me since I tend to drive quite often. I bought it used. Sometimes it does a strange jerk-like motion but it is not too concerning. The car seems like a car that would be driven by a mother of three, therefore; making it easily able to blend in and look safe and a bit boring which is good if you do not want to get attention from police. That it is not worth the money or the headache. This car comes with problems and should have been recalled.
It's barely 5 years old and the stereo system is already dead and can't be used. The transmission is that of a manual transmission and the car is automatic so we've had several issues with that. Good car with minor issues, will get you there safely!
The car is a smooth ride and has great turning capabilities. Issues with the car can only really be found when going up hills. In this situation, the car will slip backwards if stopped and then driven again. Additionally, you will hear some grinding in the engine. Another problem can be found with the interactive electronics in the car. While the radio and its display work well, the aux is hard to do with a charging cable and I have never been able to get the Bluetooth capabilities to work, but it must be noted that I have a current phone and this may contribute. Another nice feature of the car is found within my hatchback edition, which has plenty of space in the trunk. Furthermore, the blind spot mirrors included with the vehicle help to keep me safe and I love them!

I have this vehicle a love it... The first three years were rough because of transmission problems.. Most used 2013 Ford Focus's don't have the new hardware in the transmission, so I cannot recommend buying one used.. I had to replace the catalytic converter at 46,000. Ford Focus comfortable and affordable.
My 2013 Ford Focus has been fairly reliable. The only issue I have had with the car were covered under warranty. Everything is user friendly. Changing the clock is so easy! My past vehicle would require me opening up the user manual. The hands free calling is also a nice feature. The transmission updates really smoothed out the ride, so shifting of the dual clutch is barely noticeable. The car looks and drives comfortably. It has excellent gas mileage so commuting is not so costly. I bought this car while in college and it was great size for mostly driving alone or two people. It was nice to have the backseat for groceries or the occasional additional passengers. Now that I have a car seat in the back there is no room in the front passenger seat. I'll definitely be going with a larger model in the future. I do plan to buy another Ford vehicle. I have had a great experience with customer service at Ford dealerships. My car runs perfectly fine. It is very good on gas.
The only problem that I have had with my car is that the brake bulb lamp light keeps coming on but my brake lights work perfectly fine. The light comes on every time the car gets turned on or randomly when I am driving. Other than that it is a pretty decent car.

A car that drives like a sports car when you cannot afford one!
The car is fun to drive. It has tight handling and feels like a sportier car. It is great on gas. But it has a lot of recall issues. And it has been in the shop too many times due to issues that were not addressed when the car was produced. I am spending too much on the repairs.

Ford Focus gets good gas mileage
My Ford focus is comfortable to ride in. I love the backup camera and heated seats. It gets good gas mileage.

Overall a great affordable daily driver.
Pro's: My car payments are cheap. It's great on gas mileage and inexpensive to fill up. Nice compact car which is helpful when your not too good at parking. Con's: There are known transmission issues. Personally had it repaired twice since I've owned it. Getting into the third year since I've owned it I've started to have minor problems like coolant leak, false emission codes, tail lights seem to burn out quickly. Overall it's a great affordable car.

The double clutch in the car
I like the efficiency and technology involved in the car. I don't like how expensive it is to fix

Better drivability than it's competition
I commute 120 miles a day. I needed good gas mileage... Check... Reliability... Check... Reasonably comfortable... Check...I I bought the base model, if I had known how good this car would be, I would have bought a higher trim package. Occasionally the transmission shudders, but it's performance is far better than an Impreza, Corolla, or Elantra

It's a decent car, but not the most reliable.
This car is alright. It has great mpg which is a huge plus. The transmission isn't great and costs a pretty penny if it needs replaced. The size is not bad. I have a hatchback and it can fit a surprising amount with the seats folded down. I recently had to get a bunch of work done, but I had the car for almost 2 years without any problems before that, and has not had any real problems since. Hoping it has the durability of my mom's focus.

Cool and fun car to drive.
My vehicle is a great one for a young individual without hauling needs. It is small and easy to handle. There are sometimes problems with the computer, where is does not properly connect to my devices or play music well. My vehicle has had problems with the transmission.

Good gas mileage. Looks kind of sporty. I could do with more leg room.
Trunk has a weird wiring issue. But it is good on gas. It is pretty low miles right now about 61k. We'll see how it holds up from here on out. I am pretty religious on oil changes so I am hoping that helps. Also the horn died and needed a new fuse. Not too bad this far.

It is reliable and drives well.
I love the color and the way the car handles. I love the Bluetooth capabilities. I love the reliability of my car.

Honest ford focus titanium’review.
Main problem is known transmission problem! It has been replaced twice since I have owned car. Attributes I love are, heated seats, sunroof, stereo system and comfortable seats! It is also very economical on gas. I average 30 plus miles per gallon. Overall it is a great car.

The Bluetooth connect for my cell phone is very convenient!
Car stutters frequently, and has transmission problems that have so far been covered in the warranty. Other than the stuttering, it is a speedy and sporty car with good reaction time. The interior is very roomy while still being a small sedan, and the backup camera is a huge help.

Do not really have anything to summarize other then it is an amazing vehicle.
I don't really have any problems with my vehicle the comfort in the vehicle is amazing it is good on gas and it is always got me to where I need to go so it is very reliable. I work in a different county then where I live which is like 30 minutes away and I have never had problems getting there and back and never overheats all over a great vehicle.

A very good vehicles on the road.
I love my car. It jerk a lot sometime it hard to get it to the speed you want to pass another car. I have I always like ford cars I think they are the best on the market. I have several ford cars over the years you need to drive a ford for you know how it is.

165,000 miles and no repairs needed. Only maintenance.
Stylish and fuel efficient with room for a family of 4. Important that a manual transmission is available though I would like a 6th gear as comparable cars have available. Fun to drive. Would like the headlight switch from other Ford vehicles that use the fog/vanity lights anytime the headlights automatically turn on.

Great for first time drivers.
This is a great car especially for a first time driver. The ford focus was given to me when I got my driver’s license and was the car I learned how to drive on. It is very simple to use and has an awesome Bluetooth feature that I can connect my phone to and make phone calls and play music all while keeping my hands on the wheel. This car runs well and we have never had any real issues with it.

I'll never regret the purchase of my ford focus.
So far, I love my car. It had about 90,000 miles on it when I bought it but it was in great condition and the previous owners had taken really good care of it. What attracted me most to it was the safety rating (5 stars), the price, that it had never been in any collisions, and it's great gas mileage. It also drove so well when I test-drove it. The car has all the bells and whistles including a parking camera, Bluetooth audio and hands-free, mood lighting inside (I can choose the color too), parking assist sensors, leather seating which makes it so easy to clean, and a sunroof for the sunny days! The only drawback I would say is it has only four cylinders which makes the gear transition a little rocky sometimes and not as smooth as a 6 cylinder car; I have to rev it a little higher than I would like to change gear. I personally drive it automatically, but the stick option is available.

Bigger on the inside: the focus can hold more than you think.
I love my ford focus. It gets great gas mileage and has a surprising amount of space relative to the size of the car. This year has some transmission issues, but ford extended my warranty and fixed one of the main issues for free. I have had my car for three years and never had any major issues. My longest trip was eleven hours and even then, the car ran smoothly and was pretty comfortable all things considered.

It is difficult to estimate how far you are in a parking spot because of the hood.
I am very happy with the technology in this care. However, it is slightly jumpy upon acceleration and I really do not like that the front hood is not visible while driving and parking.

Buy from a reputable dealer like I did that way if there is a problem it gets taken care of immediately
I get great gas mileage it's comfortable for travel only complaint is the cup hold spilled my drink when I try to get it out because of the rubber lip to hold the drink tight in the cup holder

I love the compact design, the dark gray color, the bluetooth capabilities, and the gas mileage. I routinely drive 500+ miles every week, and although I have to fill up every week, one tank lasts me a long time. I do not like the limited backseat legroom. Additionally, I would prefer a touch screen in the car
It's attractive and durable, and with the proper maintenance it can last a long time

The smoothest, most luxury feeling car that is not a luxury car I have had!
My car is great on fuel and has been super reliable. It has an issue with a bearing right now but before all that it was great! Often drove it for an hour and a half at a time to travel in between my place and my girlfriends and it got the job done. My little sister always said she was going to buy it from me because she loved the sunroof and how the inside seems more like a luxury vehicle than what it is!

Small but sturdy is how we roll.
My car get pretty good gas mileage and is a great ride. For being a small car it is really smooth over bumps. I have had it for 7 years and by keeping the maintenance up have not had any problems with it other than regular maintenance on it. If you take care and not abuse your car it will take care of you. For a small car it does pretty well in the snow and ice in the winter.

The best qualities of my beautiful vehicle that gets great gas mileage!
The vehicle is just the right size not too large or too small. The seats are very comfortable and reclines. Large trunk for all cargo needs.. The controls are located to where they could be seen easily. Easy to drive and maneuver. The vehicle gets great gas mileage in town and on the road.
