2007 ford freestyle: a very reliable, comfortable, and less problematic car.
In the past few years it has had problems with the transmission, engine, ac/heater, brakes, body/paint problems, electrical problems, fuel system, suspension, interior accessories, drive train, seat belts, and exhaust system. The car performs great. It is very reliable. The leather seats and seat warmers make the car very comfortable when driven.

I love my vehicle its the best one I've had in the past 3 years.
My truck is my best friend super reliable gets me every where great room for my family it's the perfect family mobile.
accountCircle Rachel P
It is perfect for a family of 3-7 people. Smaller SUV but spacious.
Perfect for my little family. 3rd row seating is a bonus but offers easy access to lay down seats for loading groceries or transporting large items. Also mine has a television in it which works well for my kiddos.

They don't make it anymore...so sad to me because I want to buy another one for my next car, but I don't think that will be possible.
I love the space in the back rows...much more legroom than a minivan. I like the back cargo area - very roomy. I really like how it drives.

Gets great gas mileage, most of them have a sunroof, amazing ac n heating
It's a beautiful SUV. There wouldn't be any other car I'd want than this. Only problem is that if it was mad without an aux port.
accountCircle William C
My favorite things about this car is it rides very smoothly and is very roomy.
I like this vehicle, because it is dependable, I can seat up to 7 people including the driver. All the seats lay down and it can hold a lot of stuff.
accountCircle Shawn H
Its American made. I don't like foreign cars.
It is reliable. It is fuel efficient. It is American made in Chicago. I also like it because it is a ford.
accountCircle Jim S
They should reissue the Ford freestyle.
Only problem ever was a $15 part for the ac system. Performance is not great but the gas mileage and storage space more than make up for it. At 6' 2" this is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. I do not need or want all of the latest bells and whistles, so the features are fine with me.

Negative Owner Reviews

accountCircle Nicholas H
It does have great cargo storage.
It has needed a transmission replacement shortly after it was purchased and the brake pads keep wearing out. We finally found out it was because of a factory error on the particular vehicle, the calipers for the breaks were pressing them harder than factory intended.

This vehicle has been very reliable for our family of five.
We bought my vehicle new years ago. It has been a very reliable car and has traveled well across the united states many times for moving and family vacations. It has not given us too many problems and is easy to keep up with proper maintenance. Very comfortable 3 row seating. Very good for a larger family. Good for moving items with the way the sets go down.

Good vehicle compared to the money I paid for it. Great miles per gallon, compared to other vehicles of that size.
Good miles per gallon; air conditioner doesn't work; not too many technological gadgets.etc

I would tell them to never buy a Freestyle from Ford.
I like that I have a car but I do not like this car. The AC will not blow cold air if it's too hot out. This car has had so many issues and recalls its unbelievable but I am thankful I have the car.
accountCircle Diane R
Dependable and reliable vehicle.
I have had radiator problems. Other than that it has been very reliable and dependable. Wish it got better gas mileage but cannot complain. This was a vehicle I purchased when my family was younger. We have sort of outgrown it. But will be looking at buying another Ford when it comes time to replace it.
accountCircle Sasha C
The seats fold different ways to make more room.
It picks up speed very slowly and the seats are fairly uncomfortable. It is terrible on gas. On the good side it fits the whole family they seat fold down to make a huge trunk and it feel pretty safe to drive my kids around in. It is good for trips because we can fit everyone and all of our things in it.
accountCircle David N
2006 Ford Freestyle can be a good family car has room for 6 people comfortably and storage.
Our 2006 Ford Freestyle has been pretty good to us after the beginning problems we had with it. When we bought it used, a week after having, the transmission started acting up and went out. After we had that replaced it has been a pretty good car.
accountCircle Mitchell T
That it has plenty of room.
I like that it is a reliable vehicle that gets me back and forth to work. I like that it shows how many miles until empty. Just wish it got better gas mileage.

My car is a big van full of too much stuff. I need to clean it out!
It's a cargo van, so it's built to carry a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, because it's so roomy, I don't feel the need to put that stuff away, so I cart it around with me for much too long. The gas mileage is not very good either. And it doesn't have a CD player.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Michelle H.

There's a lot of room inside, it is bigger than it looks from the outside, the seats are comfortable. You can fold the last 2 rows down to move heavy items, you have a control in the back for air and there is a port in the back for a car charger to charge a phone.

likeFilled Melissa H.

Its is very roomy and fits all my kids. It also handles very well in the snow. The gas mileage isn't to bad at 20 m/g. I would trust this vehicle to go almost anywhere. We have taken it in the mountains, on the beach, in the snow, and never felt like it would fail us.

likeFilled Daisy B.

The pros of my vehicle include just-the-right amount of space when back seats are folded down, and 6 passenger seats. Other features includes seat warmers, automatic locks, automatic rear mirrors and automatized seat and rear mirrors for desired size.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Michelle H.

It is difficult to change spark plugs, they have 4 behind the manifold which makes it time consuming. It would have to be done professionally. Manual does not state they are to be charged regularly, engine mounts break and are expensive to replace. Tie rods also break and are expensive to replace. I had to replace my transmission 1 year after purchasing my car. There needs to be lifelong warranties for these items, to help offset the cost.

dislikeFilled Melissa H.

There are not a lot! It would be nice if there was more room in the back after the seats are up, even 5in would be enough to fit a stroller or our big dog. With the eats up there just is not enough room.

dislikeFilled Daisy B.

Some of the cons of my vehicle is the outdated media stereo receiver, but can be switched out with a modern one. The leather seats and steering wheel are not the best for the summer because they get extremely hot.

2,000$ now I paid 3,000 for the car and have put over $3,000 into the car to be fixed within the last year
Michelle W.
I believe it is still worth $2000. I think that is a great value. Especially since I don't have to put any money beside normal maintenance into it.
