They don't make it anymore...so sad to me because I want to buy another one for my next car, but I don't think that will be possible.
I love the space in the back rows...much more legroom than a minivan. I like the back cargo area - very roomy. I really like how it drives.

My car is a big van full of too much stuff. I need to clean it out!
It's a cargo van, so it's built to carry a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, because it's so roomy, I don't feel the need to put that stuff away, so I cart it around with me for much too long. The gas mileage is not very good either. And it doesn't have a CD player.

Stylish, spacious, best all around used vehicle I have ever owned.
It is the best used car I have ever owned. Pros: comfort, space, ride, fuel efficiency for a vehicle of that year. The third row seats are great with kids and fold into the floor when not needed for better cargo space. Cons: only key lock is at driver's door, no key lock on rear hatch.

2007 ford freestar minivan, made for parents
I have 2007 Ford Freestar minivan, sits 7, a lot of room, big trunk, 150,000 miles, both doors slide open, roomie, I'm not sure what kind of engine. Our biggest problem has been the pulley, we've had to replace it twice we also had to replace the alternator. We've had the van for about a year now. I really like it, the size, the room and it's great if you have children.

It's not worth buying. To many issues with various components.
The CVT transmission leaks fluid. The sunroof leaks. It's supposed to be an all wheel drive but the control module went out and the part is no long made.

Ford doesn't make them anymore, so good luck getting one!
I love our ford freestyle. It does have some problems now (like the ac doesn't work) but that's only natural after 10+ years and 200,000+ miles. I love the size of it, not too bulky to drive, but still spacious inside. I also love the versatility of the collapsible third row seating.

I have had practically no issues mechanically with this vehicle. It's roomy and I love that I can fold the seats down In the back! My kids can get in and out easily. I wish it got better gas mileage though. I can't believe I have been driving it this long.

It runs very smoothly for a 11 year old car. I would recommend the newest ford version of that car, which I believe is the ford taurus.
Technically, it's a mercury montego from 2007. It was not on the list, so I picked a ford 500, because it's the closest to it. Its was on the same production line. It's a very reliable car, and should last a while. Not too much maintenance.

I would like for others to know that is a very safe car.
I do not like that it is old and is starting to have mechanical issues. I do not like that is not fuel efficient. I do not like that it does not have remote to open the doors. I do not like the fact that is so hard to maintain the carpet clean, i wish the cars will have no more carpets at all.

Cruddy CVT, great family multipurpose vehicle.
The biggest drawback to this make/model is the continuously variable transmission that is notorious for giving out. Very few mechanics will touch it and they are hard to replace. Otherwise, it has weathered well as a family vehicle for me. We are nearly at 200k, and the motor and rebuilt transmission are performing well, with regular maintenance. It has worked well for long trips and in the Texas heat. I am planning to get a new vehicle, only because my children are getting too big for the third row. The fold down feature for the back two rows is wonderful, and allowed me to transport furniture and construction materials many times. The mileage is remarkably good for a vehicle that seats 7. I do not regret my purchase.

Great vehicle with great value
The vehicle is very reliable. The cargo space mix much bigger than I expected from a vehicle this size. One of my favorite things is all the extra places to store things. I have inherited this car for a family member and haven't had any mechanic problems at all. The only negative I can say is the spare tire is a donut and not a full-sized tire as in some vehicles.

It's a really great and simple car. It drives smoothly and the gas lasts quite awhile. It's a very convenient car to get around with and the interior is very comfortable. Some problems that I have come across are during harsher weathers. At times, it isn't as slip resistant which forces you to be a lot more careful on the roads even if the weather isn't all that bad.

The DVD player really makes it a good overall family car
The car is comfortable to a point. The 3rd row seating has very limited space and the 2nd row seating sits straight up so you can't adjust it for a car seat or anything else. Ford Freestyle, there is a reason they only made it for a few years.
I love everything about this car except the transmission. It's a CVT and has 2 different filters. If the filters are not changed regularly the car stops working. So if you are thinking about buying a used Freestyle you need to find out how often those filters were being changed, and the last time they were changed. As for the rest of the car I have had zero issues.

It has needed a transmission replacement shortly after it was purchased and the brake pads keep wearing out. We finally found out it was because of a factory error on the particular vehicle, the calipers for the breaks were pressing them harder than factory intended.

Ford freestyle: the best car that Ford no longer makes.
There is lots of space and I can fit lots of stuff. I like that the seats fold down but also that I can fit up to six other people. It can be hard to park in small or tight lots because of the length of the vehicle and fill-ups can be expensive because the tank is larger, but it does mean I can go farther without stopping for gas. The windows are much lighter tinted than any other vehicle that I have driven so there is lots of light in the vehicle and it is easier to see out the back windows.

My Ford Freestyle Experience.
I've owned my Freestyle for about four years and I bought it used. It's been great for my family, providing both room and comfort. This is my first experience owning an all-wheel drive vehicle and so far, so good. The Freestyles AWD feature is sufficient but not comparable with something like a Subaru. Also, I wish there was more vehicle ground clearance because I believe this would aid in the AWD tremendously. My only complaint would be that replacement parts can sometimes be expensive and brakes wear out a little sooner than I would like. As of yet, I haven't suffered any major breakdowns and most of the work has been preventive or basic maintenance. Gas mileage is basic in town depending on your driving habits, but it does really well on road trips.

Ford freestyle is good crossover with 3 rows.
The Ford freestyle is a great 3 row SUV/crossover. The interior could be roomier, and does not truly seat 7 unless they are all petite people, but 5-6 adults can fit comfortably. The 2nd row is okay for car seat room for a child, but is not great for extended rear facing since the driver or front passenger seats have to be moved far forward to accommodate it safely.

2007 freestyle details and opinions!
I love this car! The only issues I have had is my digital gas gauge sometimes is temperamental and stops working. If I turn the vehicle off and back on again (typical right?) It resets itself and works perfectly fine. I would definitely recommend this vehicle to anyone needing a “mom car” or interesting in having a third row of seating without having to buy a minivan. Also, this car is perfect to take on vacations, grocery shopping, or anywhere where a lot of cargo will he needed especially if you do not need the third roll for that day. The seats lay down which leaves a lot of room. If there is only one or two people riding in the car and you need a place to sleep, all of the back seats lay down and provide a lot of room for sleeping, although it is uncomfortable because it is hard. The radio for being stock is extremely good and if you have the package with a sunroof the car is perfect. The only other suggestion I can think of is to not get the tab polyester interior, it is awful to keep clean (especially if you are babysitting a lot of kids). This is a very safe car and I would highly recommend this car for anyone of any age group.

It makes accessibility easy! There is plenty of room for the wheelchair!
My van is fantastic. It is very roomy! It makes a great accessible vehicle. I have no complaints!

That it has plenty of room.
I like that it is a reliable vehicle that gets me back and forth to work. I like that it shows how many miles until empty. Just wish it got better gas mileage.
