Passenger room is good for a midsize sedan, interior materials are better than the competition, and there’s advanced driver safety technology available.
dislikeFilled The Bad
Frequent problems with both the engine and transmission, the infotainment system is difficult to use, and real world driving doesn’t match the fuel economy estimates.

Good solid car for the everyday commute.
It's a nice car for a daily driver. It's been easy to maintain with no significant issues. I have owned it for over 3 years and I still love it. I have put over 120,000 miles on it and there only things I have had to do are regular maintenance and new brake pads and tires.

Ford Fusion: IMHO Nearly great vehicle, better than good on all parameters
No problems, reliable, good gas mileage, more than adequate performance, good visibility, great handling, and comfortable

Best riding sedan with great features!
My car has been really reliable to for me and my family. I moved from California to Washington and did many trips back and forth visiting family within the five years and it's been amazing. I've kept up the maintenance and still going strong. I love that it has SYNC and navigation. My seats are very comfortable made with a soy fabric and the trunk is huge, which is a big plus for me. The only thing I don't like is the back seat doesn't fit three people comfortably.

Amazing four door family car
The ford fusion has feature like a sunroof, heated seats, power seats and windows. It is great on gas and has needed minimal upkeep. The only problems I've had have been recalls and ford fixed the free of charge

Great mix of comfort and luxury.
Really comfortable, has plenty of space, factory speaker are not bad at all. I did recently purchased a passenger side mirror which was a little hard to find just because they didn't have the type of model I had so I ended up having to order it online. Runs real smooth would definitely recommend it. And it is economic meaning it saves up on gas usually does not take much to fill up.

I love my ford fusion so much.
It performs well. The steering is fantastic. It came with aftermarket black rims that look amazing. It is awesome on gas and doesn't cost too much to fill up. The interior is lovely and spacious. The back seat fits three adults or car seats depending on your situation.

My 2013 ford fusion been given me issues every since I purchased it a year ago. Had to have gear shift fixed twice in now my engine light just popped on. I'm soo over this car I want out of it asap.

Good but needs work. One day will be fantastic.
Transmission went out. And the shifter cable needed replaced. All 4 tires blew on me. It is going to cost six thousand dollars to fix it through ford and I paid 8000 for the car to begin with. Otherwise it is a fantastic car it just has left me sit quite a few times on the side of the road.

Do not like my car it is to small.
The car is ok but has a lot of problems with it the tires keeps saying they are low. And the ac stop working. Needs a lot of work. Cannot afford to get it fixed. Not getting a ford car next time. We will just need a bigger car. The kiddos is getting bigger.

Ford Fusion that has been nothing but a headache
It has been nothing but a headache since I got the car. Had warranty when I first got the car. The dealership never fixed the issue correctly. Once warranty was up the coolant was leaking, water pump was replaced, timing chain gave out. Issues after issues with the vehicle
accountCircle Kirsty K
Do not purchase this vehicle.
Looks very nice, but I have had nothing but problems with it the entire time I have had it. First the power steering went out, then once that got fixed the radio didn't work, then after fixing that the ac stopped working, then after the ac was the alternator, and radiator overheating. Recently had to get a new motor due to a piston rod breaking. Now I'm dealing with having to get another new engine due to first one not being installed correctly. There are also issues going on with the traction control system. Not sure all the issues have been car related-I feel mostly its due to mechanics not doing their job correctly. But I have had 3 years of bad luck with this vehicle and it is made me hate this car.
accountCircle Bailey G
Junk. Complete waste of money I should've looked into all my other options.
Something is always falling off or going wrong. My ac turns it is self on and so does my volume on my radio. My Bluetooth hardly works. My sync line says initiating instead of connecting to my phone. It is always something. This week my air went out so that'll be more money towards that car that I’d like to be saving for a different one!

How Does the 2013 Ford Fusion Compare to Other Cars?

Ranking 10th out of 14 midsize cars based on owner reviews, the 2013 Fusion is near the bottom of the class.

In first place is the more expensive Honda Accord. Reliability ratings and power are both better in the Accord. Where the Fusion stands out is with higher quality interior materials and more up-to-date safety technology. Overall, the lower cost of ownership and longer-lasting powertrain in the Accord makes it win the competition.

Another close competitor is the Hyundai Sonata, which is in the same price range. Reliability ratings are similar between the two cars with serious mechanical problems on both. Passenger space is better in the Fusion, but the Sonata has a more comfortable ride. Neither is a great sedan, and spending a little more for a Honda or Toyota is worth the cost.

Reliable and economical
I currently have 198,500 miles on my Ford fusion. The miles are mostly highway miles. I average 31 mpg. We have never had mechanical problems other than routine brake work,a battery and a bolt fell out of the air conditioner. We change the oil when scheduled and had it tuned up twice. That's it. It doesn't use oil, has plenty of pep and starts when we turn the key. I love it!

Great car with many amazing features.
Great bass mileage. Super comfortable and roomy. Handles great in all weather. Amazing features, hands free mode. Huge trunk space for large grocery runs and vacations. Spacious back seat with tons of leg room. Dual power seat for optimal comfort. My favorite feature is remote start especially for cold mornings.

Amazing and long-lasting car.
Over the years my car has had very few issues and has held up well. Even though my car is almost seven years old it still runs like a charm. When people ask what year my car is they are always shocked when I say a 2013. I have over 100,000 miles on it thus far and have not had any major issues.

This car has been very debatable and safe. I would consider it a good family car.
All in all it's been a good dependable car. Problems I have had are mainly with the sync system. I have continued to have problems throughout the ownership of this car, I have an iPhone and it will kick my phone off, shut the whole system down not allowing me to use the ac, navigation, radio, any features that are on the screen.

The fusion is a great, reliable, and fun car.
The fusion is a very reliable car. I have owned the car for 6 years and have not had any mechanical problems. The car is comfortable, easy to drive, and has great acceleration. The only problem we have had was with the back up light; which was covered under warranty.

Roomy enough for family of four for road trips, camping trips or grocery trips.
I absolutely love my car. I always had an SUV and this is my first car. It has plenty of room. 4 doors. Large trunk plenty of space for groceries, luggage, camping gear, tent, and everything needed to camp. It is very comfortable for long drives, spacious enough for a family of four with discs in between for them to put their stuff. Has a pull down console between them for beverages and arm rest. The front has plenty of space for beverages and everything you normally have with you. Plenty of charging space for handheld devices for four people.
accountCircle Sabrin S on June 13, 2021
Reliable and safe family sedan.
This is a reliable family sedan with high marks in terms of safety. It has some basic features without a lot of bells and whistles but it has been steady over the years. It has a spacious trunk and average sized interior cabin. When accelerating, the car tends to lag and it can take quite some time to get up to speed, especially when changing lanes or merging in the highway. It is suitable for a family of 3 but it can be tricky for a family of 4 or more to fit travel gear. It is average in terms of gas mileage and not too expensive to repair.

Review for 2013 ford fusion se.
In the three years I have owned it I have only had three issues. The main issue is the air conditioning went out. I have brought it to 3 mechanics and no one can figure it out! Ford wants $300 just to tell me what's wrong! The second is the hood release pull broke and is very expensive to fix at the shop. The third us the bushing on the transmission cable broke. This however was covered under a recall. Other than those three issues the far has been amazing. Drive pretty well in the winter, through being so low to the ground it got stuck in snow drifts easily. It does get great gas mileage through. I would definitely recommend this car to anymore as long as a mechanic has checked it over first.

Great car but too many recalls.
The car has a nice body style. It rides smooth and get good mileage. It is a spacious mid size sedan with great space in the trunk as well. One of the main problems I have had with the car are the multiple recalls from the company. Other than that I have not had any issues with my car.

This car drives very smooth. It is very quiet! It is great on gas mileage. It is very strenuous to get in and out of. It is not very roomy in the back seat. It is very low to the ground so be prepared to have damage if you hit a rodent in the road. Overall very comfortable.

I bought the car used, expecting some issues. However I have owned the car for close to a year and its reliability is amazing I haven't had any issues with the car apart from a recent recall on the car handles, which in my opinion is not an issue because it shows the company's show care for all there cars, and make sure they are in top tier performance. The gas is great which is crucial considering I drive a lot.

Overall, the 2.0 liter fusion se has been a very satisfying, fun car to drive.
The vehicle is a good source for transportation but there have been a lot of factors recall on it recently. The fusion has a smooth ride and a supremely quiet cabin. I am getting 29 mpg highway and 24 mpg mixed driving with the 2.0l ecoboost. The leather seats in se trim are styled differently than those in the titanium; but they are every bit as comfortable. I do not get the complaints about my ford touch -- it is logical enough and the Bluetooth works flawlessly.

Blue fusion with slight transmission trouble.
This particular ford fusion is quite sleek. It has some minor transmission problems which can easily be mitigated by frequently changing the transmission fluid. A more expensive but long term fix would be to replace the transmission. The interior is in great condition and all functions work exactly as intended.

My ford fusion parking brakes are great.

Smooth, spacious ride. Buy newer year.
I bought this car used, I ended up having to get the engine replaced. It took a while to figure out what was wrong with it, and multiple trips to the dealership. We found the head gasket was leaking. Other than that, after I got my engine replaced I really enjoy the car. It is the perfect size, seats four comfortably and five with a squeeze. There is a lot of trunk space. It is very smooth to drive and balanced well. I would consider buying a newer one in the future as it is the perfect car for me. I really enjoy this car even though I had issues when I first bought it.

It has great space and drives really smooth. Anytime there are troubles it is also very inexpensive to have repairs done. One thing that I also like a lot is the cost to fill up the car which is at max $30-$35 if it is close to e. One other feature I really like is the amount of room there is in the trunk and also the automatic start it has for when it gets cold outside.

Brakes are too sensitive they grab with just slight pressure on the pedal. Body trim and window seals do not seal. The headliner is loose. Most underbody shields are flimsy and some have come off on the highway. Otherwise, it is a comfortable vehicle with a powerful engine and high gas mileage.

I have only had this car for a little over a year. So far, the underbelly covering has come off. Also, the latch or handle that allows you to pop the hood has come off as well. I was told that this happens often although I am not really sure. Other than this I haven't had any other issues.

A very driver friendly car.
The car is comfortable to drive, the controls are very driver-friendly. The acceleration both from start and when passing is very good. The overall outside design gives a good look. I chose a grey color and the finish looks as good now as it did new.

I love my car more than anything.
It is very well when I bought it. But after 5/6 year it is does not work well. It is make me worry. I took my car for servicing every month. But I am happy with it. My wife love this car that is why I can not sell my car. I want a new one for my family.

Silver fusion is the best model of a ford vehicle I have had.
This car is the best car I have had is low maintenance and reliable it is comfortable. It is just a base model but the most comfortable reliable car. I have not had any problems with my car just the basic maintenance a vehicle needs. I have had my car for six years and have had one set of new tires outside of the tires it came with.

Ford does not have the greatest reputation but I love my 2013 ford fusion.
Despite being one of the most versatile cars from ford, the fusion has got its own share of issues. The most common problems associated with this ford model are engine stalls, fire, loss of acceleration, transmission shifting, noisy creaks, leaks, tricky lug nuts, steering failures, etc.

2013 ford fusion is a fantastic vehicle.
This vehicle is fuel efficient, have had it without problems. Heated seats, very spacious. Active park assist, good sound system, it is good for anyone who is looking for a stylish and just overall nice and reliable daily driver, this is it. Best vehicle I have owned.

A great, comfortable car.
This car has been very reliable, I have never encountered any issues with it and it drives very smoothly. The seats are comfortable and can adjust easily. The media player sounds great and provides a lot of fun on longer drives. The car also is very easy to clean and has a lot of trunk space.

Good mileage and VERY dependable
It is a hybrid and have not had any problems. We get 40 mpg and like the way it drives. We would buy another hybrid fusion.
