Used from $11,188 to $19,265 and offering four different powertrains, the Fusion is worth a look. The hybrid version is class-leading in terms of fuel economy. A 2015 Fusion is budget-friendly with unique attractive exterior styling.

likeFilled The Good
The Fusion has unique and attractive exterior styling, a very fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain, and is a great handling sedan.
dislikeFilled The Bad
Its interior technology feels a bit dated, materials are not the best in the market, and there are problems with the transmission.
checkCircleAlternativeBold The Bottom Line
Offering a great value if you are looking for a fuel-efficient vehicle, the Fusion should last a long time. It’s also delivers a comfortable ride.

2015 Ford Fusion: Quick Overview

  • The 2015 Ford Fusion scores well in terms of reliability and comfort. Available on the used market from $11,188 to $19,265. The most in-demand trim is the SE with the 2.0L engine.
  • The Fusion has four different engine options. The 2.0L Hybrid is the most fuel-efficient, and the 2.0L 4-cylinder makes the most power. The engines are reliable, but there are transmission problems.
  • It’s fuel-efficient getting up to 43 miles per gallon with the hybrid trim. Owners report that all the engine options aside from the 2.0L feel underpowered and sluggish for a midsize sedan.
  • For 2015, the Fusion came with 10 color options, including some with tinted clearcoats. The Fusion also earned a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS.
  • The Fusion is not as well-built as a Honda Accord, and it is not as reliable long-term as a Toyota Camry, but it is more spacious and has better styling. This makes it a worthwhile choice to try out if you are in the market for a midsize sedan.

Ford flex review: aka it is amazing.
So far I have only had the car for a little over a year but there haven't been any problems. It runs smoothly and has great mileage. The seats are comfortable as well as the overall look of the car. In terms of features, it is a 2015 so there is not much of what is seen in the cars now. However that does not bother me at all. Overall it is an amazing car and I highly recommend it.

Cannot miss brand! You need this car.
It is been great. The tires, engine, and trans all hold up well. It is an easy ride with tons of room. Back seat folds down and allows you to store anything you need! The leather seats and sunroof is a must. Heated car seats along with power windows make this car a cannot pass.

Beautiful and functional Ford Fusion titanium.
I love my Ford Fusion titanium. It is black and sparkly and fun to drive. It has a lot of safety feature and helpful add ons. I would recommend this car.

Perfect vehicle! No issues!
I have had no problems with my car! I have had it for over a year and it has been amazing. It did great in the snow and ice last winter. I have taken it on several long trips and it has been great. It is also very spacious. I couldn't have asked for a better car.

Potential customers should know the fusion is safe and fuel efficient.
Love the sleekness. Dislike all the recalls. Love the fuel mileage. Dislike the speed acceleration. Love the color, interior and exterior. The radios/Bluetooth system. Dislike the quality my callers receive on the other end. They are able to hear all road noise.

Reliable vehicle cannot go wrong with price.
I have not had any problems with my vehicle at all. It is a six year old vehicle. The only thing that obviously has to be done to it is maintenance. Aside from that it has not given me any problems. The comfort and features are great. I would definitely recommend people to purchase this car. It is reliable and you cannot beat the price.

The Ford Fusion has great gas mileage.
I love my Ford Fusion because it is a great handling car and a great looking car. It has good gas mileage and is a roomy 5 person car with a roomy trunk. I have the titanium version with nav system and I love all of the features! Also the sync system is great; I love that Bluetooth and sync connect by phone to the car every time I get in it and if I need to make or receive a call, it is hands free.

Coolant leak, gas pressure gauge, carbon build up no more ford's for me

Nice car, but not a safe one.
I have had it for a year, it has under 50k miles and I have taken it to get the starter replaced and half the engine and my battery switch just went out while I was driving. I feel very unsafe while driving the fusion. It looks nice, but that is not the most important thing.
accountCircle Sharon H
This is not a reliable car!
Performance, bad gas mileage, too many recalls, not a reliable car at all. Has broken down two times in the same month for the same gear shift problem. Had this car about a year and 3 recalls.
accountCircle Kelly R
The power steering has gone out on the vehicle 4 times now.
Do not purchase this make and model also they will not fix your car even after 4 times
accountCircle Taryn J
Good car but mechanical issues.
The car seems to have issues with the transmission and it does not drive smoothly. I also have consistent issues with turning the car and going over speed bumps. I often get error messages claiming I have no brake fluid. The car itself is fine, but I feel that there are small mechanical issues that could be improved upon.
accountCircle Sharonda F
The car is great on gas because it is made of plastic.
It sits way too low to the ground. The bumper is made out of plastic. A safety feature of the vehicle is if you barely tap anything with the bumper, the bumper pops off.

Do not buy this car if you do not like running into stuff.
I have trouble seeing out my mirrors and terrible blind spots, my turn radius is trash and my radio does not work the way it should.

Horrible car buyer beware.
Slow takeoff uncomfortable seats, lousy stereo system. Bumpy ride, not a comfortable car. Would it recommend to anyone.

Is the 2015 Ford Fusion a Good Used Car?

The Fusion is also one of the best-handling midsize sedans in this price range. If you’re in the market for a midsize sedan, the Fusion is an okay choice, but there are better options.

How Does The 2015 Ford Fusion Compare to Other Cars?

Ranking towards the bottom in the extremely competitive midsize car market, the 2015 Fusion leaves a few things to be desired. One of its strongest competitors is the Honda Accord. The Fusion offers more engine options than the Accord and has more fuel-efficient choices, but that’s where the Fusion stops. The Accord wins the interior comparison with more up-to-date technology and better fit and finishes throughout the cabin. We’d go with the Accord over the Fusion any day.

The Fusion also competes with the Toyota Camry. More interior room and an engaging drive compared to the duller Camry lets the Fusion win out in roominess and performance. However, the Camry can’t be beat in overall reliability. It’s one of the longest-lasting midsize sedans on the market. Reliability alone makes us choose the Camry over the Fusion.

Final Verdict: Why Do We Not Recommend the 2015 Ford Fusion?

The Fusion is a hard sell since it does not offer the same level of quality, technology, or reliability as its competitors. The styling and fuel efficiency are good selling points, but they just don’t measure up to the overall package you get from other brands. If you are looking for a midsize sedan, check out the choices from Honda and Toyota.

Sync is TERRIBLE
Developing the Infotainment to connect to a phone via Bluetooth should have been a no-brainer with the technology having been around since the early 90s. However, the designers flubbed this one spectacularly as the system routinely loses connection to my phone, even while mid-song or en route using navigation on my phone. And, on top of it all, the way recommended by Ford to restore the function is to disconnect the battery cable to do a hard reset. I keep the wrenches required to do so in the trunk, if that tells you anything about the frequency with which it occurs. That said, I did like the roominess and look of the vehicle even with the few panels and molding pieces that never quite fit well. It performed well over the 179,000 miles I had it, and did not require any major service. Then the transmission destroyed itself. Virtually without any warning. Perhaps a little sluggish in acceleration a couple of times in the evening, then the next morning it quit pulling altogether leaving me stranded on the side of the road. At least I can get a vehicle with a working Infotainment system now.

2015 Fusion Hybrid
I've owned my 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid for roughly 4 years and have loved every moment. The car is incredibly reliable (Hybrid Fusions are more reliable than gas models), comfortable, peppy, looks great, and handles awesome for a midsized sedan. I have 106K miles as of now and no signs of diminished quality. I use the car to drive ride share and Amazon Flex; despite being in the car for hours a day, driving down hundreds of miles rough dirt roads most of the week, and my lead foot, the car never notices. I would absolutely recommend a Ford Fusion Hybrid to anyone wanting a stylish, reliable, efficient, and practical car. Avoid the 1.6 Ecoboost. The 2.0 Ecoboost is better than the 1.6, but still does have problems. So be aware of the issues the Ecoboost models may have, but even then, Fusions are decently reliable. The Hybrids will give you Japanese levels of reliability, the regular drivetrain options may not.

Has the safety feature, my key.
So far I have had no problems with my car. I have had it for two years and it is a great car. Get about 22 mpg in town and almost 30 traveling. The seats are comfy and I love that they are both electric controls. I have radio, phone and other important controls right on my steering wheel, very convenient for me. Has cup holders in the front and the back and an air vent in the back also. Has lots of trunk space. It has a backup camera, helps me a lot. Also has a safety feature called my key, which, when engaged, will not let you drive above 80 mph or drive without a seatbelt(the radio will not come on if you do not have a seatbelt on). Also has paddle shifters on the steering wheel, you can switch of from automatic to standard, if wanted.

Drives great and is super comfy on long trips.
I have had to deal with a few recalls but I just get a letter in the mail, take it in, and the dealership will take care of it. I find the car easy to drive and comfortable. The brake assist feature was different to get used to at first. I live in the mountains and it often will brake on its own, which felt weird at first but I do like it and feel safe. I am used to driving an SUV and was against having a car since I usually cannot see well out of the back, due to my short height. I do not have any issues or problems seeing out of any windows in this car.

Great gas mileage. We average 41 to 50 mpg.
The Fusion hybrid (not plug in), is luxurious, quiet, and comfortable. We don't have "all" the bells and whistles, but with this car, we didn't need them. Also, the mileage makes this car worth owning, especially in the city with stop and start traffic. We have had no issues besides routine maintenance. We had one recall on the steering and it was taken care of immediately. Reliable, comfortable, and wonderful. The only thing I would change on this car is the way the digital screen on the dash is positioned. It is not easy to use when the sun is bright.

Roomy family car with handy features.
The care has been very reliable. I really love how much space it has, especially in the trunk. The back seats lay down to make even more room. It is been fine mechanically. I feel safe in it. I love the ability for Bluetooth connection in mine. I love having the backup camera, but I do wish the screen was bigger. Being able to control the radio, calls, and cruise control is very handy. I wish there was a radio station scan button on there instead of just switching saved stations, to make traveling more convenient.

Ford fusion 2015 is extremely reliable and great for the buck.
I love my ford fusion, it gives me great gas mileage and is extremely reliable. I haven't had many problems with it besides a few callbacks but even then ford gets it out within a few hours. However the one huge issue I have noticed is that the back camera is picky about when it wants to work. Sometimes it works sometimes it does not. It is a hit or miss. I think at one point my screen went black for a little bit but I got that fixed. Also the bottom casing fell out while driving but you do not need to have it.

The pros and cons to a 2015 ford fusion.
The ford fusion is a great car, but is a little small, the get up and go on it is not the greatest, and I think some of the features are not that easy to use or understand. We have the Bluetooth feature to sync your phone, we have had it over a year and still are not able to connect our phones. The screen is small and the back up camera goes in and out of working. The comfort is pretty good it is a decent sized sedan though I think it could be larger and fit children in the back more comfortably. We haven't had any serious issues with the car not working or any problems so the reliability has been great.

It is been great. The tires, engine, and trans all hold up well. It is an easy ride with tons of room. Back seat folds down and allows you to store anything you need! The leather seats and sunroof is a must. Heated car seats along with power windows make this car a cannot pass.

I love how smooth the car runs.
This car is a perfect everyday driver. Its reliable and comfortable. Make sure to get the recalls checked. Ford will fix everything for free. They will even give a rental if it takes a lot of time to fix the recall. I love the colors that they come in along with the interior design of the vehicle.

Great car for first time buyers.
Very reliable, trustworthy, gets great gas mileage, never had an problems, the seats are comfortable, great for long road trips, didn't have to fill up very often, love the backup camera, the stereo is better than expected, wish there were better get up and go but it gets the job done.

Great all around vehicle.
No problem. No issues in the last 3 years. Drives smooth love it so far. Over 70,000 miles and moved states 3 times with it and still going strong. Interior is nice. A few recalls here and there but nothing to extreme. Definitely a great car if you are looking into buying one.
accountCircle No N on April 21, 2021
The car is cute and affordable.
Overall it's a nice car and drives nice. It's my first big purchase after driving an old car. The interior is nice and easy to clean. I like how it alerts me about oil changes and the other bluetooth. Features I do not like however that I cannot play Bluetooth if the USB is connected.

My 2015 ford fusion has amazing gas mileage.
Great on everything it is very reliable and comfortable for my long drive to college. It has several features and the speakers are amazing. It also has a lot of room and trunk space and amazing gas mileage, I get 31.7 miles on average. Most of the time I get 40 mpg on the highway with my trunk full. It is the best purchase I have ever made.

Ford fusions is the best car yet.
Well, my vehicle is an 2015 ford fusion. It is an sports edition, wonderful on gas mileage. I have had it for about a year now and I haven't had one problem with it. The car has a sunroof, touch screen, Bluetooth, all the works. I would suggest this type of model to anyone looking for a car.

It was wonderful reviews about the vehicle and would.
This is the best car hand free calling and great heat nice cold air and has a lot of room. Very big trunk for all of the groceries and very smooth ride for long drives. The seats are very comfortable and easy to clean great steering and very fast reliable car.

Roomy car with technology issues.
My car has a lot of technical issues with wiring. Other than that it is a very roomy car which is why I chose it compared to smaller SUVs. I love the touch screen but wish it had the option to link to my iPhone for GPS and for playing music like newer cars do. I would also love if it had better gas mileage.
accountCircle Courtney C on April 7, 2021
Looks good but has a lot of issues.
The interior of the car is very nice. I like that it can sync with my phone and I can use Bluetooth to be able to listen to music. I have had problems with the transmission so I do not recommend the car. There has also been several recalls and one of which I had a problem with which includes the shifter.

Excellent fuel efficiency car.
Haven't had any problems rides smooth excellent braking didn't put nothing into the car and didn't have to.It's been over a 1 year. Still strong over 75000 miles on it couldn't be more happy with my purchase I would however like to upgrade to a titanium 2018 until then I would not switch my car for anything else.

Good but be aware of what you are getting into.
I have had a few problems with the sensory going on for about a year now. It is starting to become hard to deal with honestly. But overall I think the car is pretty decent. It still drives pretty good and looks nice. However, there’s been at least 5 recall notices which is also pretty annoying.

Good for commuting to and from work. Smooth ride and great fuel efficiency
Good fuel economy and lots of features available. Like the back up camera. Don't like only available in 4 cylinder

Ability to control the music and volume
Vehicle had a recall due to the steering wheel. Sometimes the car jerks when pressing the gas. The gas last long the car drives very well enough space for at least 3 people in the back. Car does not have any issues since it's purchase 2 years ago. Everything runs well then the upkeep is done on time.
accountCircle Tom P on March 28, 2021
The color is fantastic and is called bronze fire & overall is a good styled car.
I opted for very few add-ons because I do not like all the new gadgets. It is comfortable and rides okay. There is hesitation when you 'goose it' from a slow speed and there are audio issues. It is quiet riding with no wind noise there is enough room and the trunk is huge. I do hate the touch screen as I prefer knobs and rocker switches. It is also the last fusion with a shifter rather than a knob.

My ford fusion is very reliable. It has not broke down or had anything wrong with it. I love the interior as it works comfortable for my family and I. The ac and heating system works well also and the performance is the best I have had in a car. It's a good recommendation.

Good car for its price. But not the best for young adults.
It's a really good car, with a really good price. I just think that is a car for older people, since I am only 18, I think there a lot of better options for me for the same amount of money I spend on it. But overall is a really good car, that I am already using for a couple of years.

Very dependable. Good for the money.
I bought my car new, five years later had to get my brakes fixed which is good considering it usually needs it sooner. The only thing I dislike is that my tires are a weird size and can only buy specific brands which can be expensive and the tires do not last very long. I have to have a full set every year. No other problems otherwise. Very dependable car.

Easy handling - comfortable - low maintenance Bluetooth - backup camera.
The car is comfortable and easy to handle when driving, has a roomy interior and large trunk for a mid size car. The gas mile is fantastic. It uses synthetic oil which make it low maintenance, oil change every 7500 miles. There have not been any issues with the car in the last 4 years.

The leather seats adds a feel of luxury on a usually non luxury brand.
Has great acceleration, is amazing on gas, and is the most well handling vehicles I have very owned. Has all the bells and whistles you could ever want. Some of the features are heating and cooled seats, radio controls on the steering wheel, hands free calling, a touch screen display, and satellite radio.

2015 fusion review survey.
The car has electrical problems that seem to happen with most fusions. Radio and other systems tend to not work consistently. Other than that, car is reliable and very comfortable. Vehicle tires are a strange size however very easy to find. Car has been worth it is price.

That it's wonderful to get around as a commuter, for local driving, and distance trips because it's the right size and comfortable with okay gas.
I love the comfort in the driver's seat, the controls for moving the seat to my comfort as well, I enjoy the color/paint job (it's like a sparkly black but subtle), it's got plenty of trunk space. I dislike that the gas estimate is always wrong so if it says I have 100 miles left to drive on my tank,it's actually like half that. I also hate how it drives on ice/snow and the battery dies too fast if you don't drive the car every single day for at least 30 minutes.

Ford Fusion- a car that has everything
The Ford Fusion is a great car. It is reliable, rarely has any issues (except for recalls). It's a perfect everyday car. Comfortable seats, air conditioning, Bluetooth, charging, and backup camera. You can get the extra stuff but the basics work out great. The only thing I wish I had was a moonroof. Some models have the beep whenever you backup close to something. I wish it had the lights in the mirrors when other cars are in your blind spot. There is more than enough space in the car both for passengers and in the trunk. I have transported a lot of large items by putting the back seats down. There are occasional recalls, but I never have a problem when I take the car back to the dealer. My car is black outside, black inside. It does get hot the summer months, but not unbearable. The car does really well in the heavy rain. It drives very well in the snow and ice conditions. It does occasionally slide if it is REALLY slick out. It is a very safe car with airbags and antilock brakes. It has a nice array of storage areas inside the car including the center console, sunglasses holder, passenger console and middle open console. There are plenty of cup holders and even holders inside the doors. The stereo system is very nice. I can always hear and you can make whatever adjustments needed. Overall it is a very nice car. If I could I would buy two of them.

It is a all around solid performer that has made my family very happy over the years. Ford always delivers home runs and this is another one!
It is stylish on the outside. It is comfortable on the inside. It is a ford so you know it is a solid performer. It it is technology advanced and has great safety features. What I don't like is that I could use more room as I now have another child in my family bringing the total to five people that need to fit in there and as you know your kids grow fast.

Lack of power rides hard have had recalls for cable problems door and air bags air condition runs good lack of space in back seat area hard to get in and out of car is too low the ground both front and rear doors do not open wide enough plenty of room in the truck trunk door does not open high enough.

I like the ford fusions, they are very good on gas mileage and i like the heated mirrors. It was hard finding a car with power seats. I do not like the windshield wipers in this year.

All leather, tech package ford fusion
Car has 65K miles, (just outside of warranty) and the engine collapsed from the inside out. 9K for this repair. I loved the car until this happened. Makes me wonder if the engine is only designed to last through the warranty. I do love the tech package that the car has, but not enough to pay additional 9K for new engine.

Amazing. Love it. It is the best car I have ever had so far. Ford fusion 10/10.
Got new engine. A/c replaced. Transmission fixed. Car has been amazing for five years. Has over 60,000 miles on it and gets 30 miles per gallon usually. Best sedan I've driven so far. Wish it had hybrid engine though. And better touch screen capabilities in the front seats.
