Offers an exciting driving experience with its powerful V8 engine and crisp handling. It also has a roomy cabin with plenty of technology features.

The rear visibility on the Mustang is limited, and the ride can be quite bumpy. Additionally, the fuel economy is not as impressive as some other, more modern vehicles.

The love of my ford mustang gt500.
I have found no problems with my car, I guess my only complaint would be that my knee is wearing out from the clutch. I also would say that when the battery died and we replaced it I lost the use of my GPS and clock feature. Other than that I love my car. It also is not very good if you have 4 adults in the car, there is no room in the backseat at all, my 8 year old granddaughter has a hard time sitting back there.

My vehicle has never given me problems. It has great turn on it.
Very comfortable, reliable, performance is great.. No problems other than wear and tear like battery replacement, tire replacement. Oil changes. Have had it 9 years and never have had to do tune up. Music system is great. And lets us know if anything wrong immediately.

9 years 159.000 miles still going strong
I got my 2011 mustang for my birthday September 2010. I drive from south Texas to West Texas once per month(1000 miles) never had one single problem. I feel safe and confident that I will get to my destination with no problems. The only problem I’ve had in 9 years is s flat tire last year. My mustang still looks amazing, drives perfectly and I absolutely love it. I Love the style, the way the car hugs the road and how easily I can speed up and maneuver through heavy traffic with ease. I love this car. ❤️

2011 mustang v6: the sleeper nobody realizes.
The interior plastic is a bit dated, but great running car. I have the convertible v6 and the weight is way better distributed whenever the top is down because the engine is so light, grips corners at 80 easily. I love this car not to mention it's a great platform for aftermarket stuff.

Most comfortable, reliable and powerful car.
Have not had any issues with the ford mustang. It is reliable and comfortable. I drive mostly highway miles so power is important. It has the perfect amount of power to handle the highway. It gets really good gas mileage. It got close to 30 mpg when new but now gets about 26 mpg.

Black v6 coupe, nothing special
Impulse buy, don't like the 2 door cars. Very difficult to have with a kid. I've had a few issues with recalls & motor problems.

For mustang is no longer a sports car.. It limps.
The dealership was horrible the car has had the most recalls of any car I have ever owned or driven. Ford was once a great company now is a shell of its former self. Worst car ever that does not deserve the title of "sports" car because it is just a piece of junk that wants to be a sports car. I wish I had my old Mitsubishi gt3000.

For mustangs are not a fun car they are cheaply made and have tons of recalls.
It handles speed bumps horribly. It has been the most recalled vehicle I have ever had and it is not nearly as sporty or as smooth driving as my old gt300sl. I hate ford.

Convertible top faded and cracked after only a couple of years.
My main complaint is the convertible top didnt last. Second complaint is the paint is easily chipped. Love the power and the features.

Slow down ford, if it is not broke don't fix it.
I feel as if Ford is trying to “reinvent the wheel “ with a lot of things. I recently got a flat and couldn't fix it because of some caps that they place on the lug nuts. I have also been throwing a code for months because this car wasn't designed with a gas cap so now small debris is getting into the tank. All unnecessary upgrades.

Ford mustang 2011 convertible.
Car has been reliable up to its current 100k miles. It is rides low to the ground which is not favorable especially around dips and street drops and does not have modern conveniences such as Bluetooth. It is also is not really fuel efficient but that is expected.

Mustang are so easily maneuvered.
Honestly, it was a great first car. It has lasted 8 years so far without any problems. I do wish I had more space now as an adult. The trunk actually has a lot of room, but if there are going to be people in the car it is a struggle and can be uncomfortable in the back seat. It is always run very well. You definitely cannot feel any changes when hitting highway speeds, so it is easy to go over the speed limit if not paying attention. But, it does do a great job cancelling out any noise outside.

Ford mustang-reliable for single people.
Extremely reliable car that I bought at a great price at a year old. Original battery lasted for almost 8 years. The seats are comfortable for the type that they are. The car still looks brand new and has taken me over 100k miles. Life has changed and I cannot fit a car seat in the backseat, nor do I want to take my child in a convertible.

What Do Critics Say About the Ford Mustang?

Consumer Reports gives the 2011 Ford Mustang high marks for its powerful V8 engine, responsive handling, and great value. However, it does note that this car has limited rear visibility and a bumpy ride.

Edmunds found it to be an attractive car with a modern design, powerful engines, and excellent handling. While the interior is comfortable and roomy, the ride can be rough on bumpy roads due to its high-performance suspension.

Kelley Blue Book describes the Mustang as a powerful and reliable vehicle with agile handling and an affordable price. It offers plenty of features, but its limited rear visibility can be a concern for some drivers.

What Common Problems Does the 2011 Ford Mustang Have?

Clutch wear and failure has also shown up on some Mustang models at around 25,000 miles. The higher power V8 engines are more likely to cause excessive clutch wear, and driver error is another source. Replacing the clutch is about $1,200, but it is also a maintenance item.

There are widespread owner complaints about corrosion on the hood, which has to be repainted to solve the issue. Repainting the hood costs $1,000 to $1,250, depending on local labor rates.

There are five recalls on the 2011 Ford Mustang, all of them are for airbag inflators, which are a common recall across all makes and models.

How Long Will the 2011 Ford Mustang Last?

When properly maintained, the Ford Mustang can last at least 10 years or more before needing major repairs or replacement parts. Moreover, the average Mustang should last up to 150,000 miles on the odometer. It is important to keep up with regular oil changes, as well as other maintenance services such as brake inspections and tire rotations.

The car handles really well on dry conditions. Can water plane on really wet streets and is not good in the snow at all. My car has gotten stuck a couple of times in only a few inches of snow. There is also a manufacturing issue where the paint does not stick to the aluminum hoods after a few years.

I've always loved Mustangs, this is my 3rd.This one has upgraded interior and incredible sound system for being factory. It gets great gas mileage and handles just how I like to drive. It's however used and has high mileage and already has issues with overheating in these east Texas summers. It also has an alignment issue that causes tires to rub and wear quicker than normal.

Great car, potential issues at high mileage.
I had an issue last summer with coil packs repeatedly failing. I had to go in and replace them all with blue streak coil packs. The issue seems to be resolved. Other than that I like the pep and the style. The leather interior is nice, and it definitely helps to add aftermarket exhaust.

The 2011 mustang is still a better car than the newer mustangs...
The 2011 mustang is everything I ever wanted in a mustang. The body lines reflect back to the golden 1969-1970 body styles. The v-6 pumps out an impressive 305 horsepower which is more than most of the old small blocks from the 60's and early 70's. It gets about 20 miles to the gallon at that horsepower too which is pretty nice. The interior is very comfortable for two. Forget the back seat. This car was meant to be a two seater. It is very easy to 'adjust' the v-6 to get a great deal more horsepower out of it too. Ford really knew what they were doing when they put this car together.

Mustangs have been reliable. It has great pick up to get onto the highway and mileage is 20 to 30 depending on stop and go traffic. It has comfortable seats and adjusts for short legs and arms. Trunk is deep but opening is not wide. There is no spare tire, only a reinflation kit to get you to the nearest place to get a replacement.

My ford mustang has a little over one hundred and twenty thousand miles on it and I have never had a single problem with it. I have the base model and it comes with power windows and seat adjustment. Scuffed hood, perfect car!
My mustang is a fast and reliable car that has carried me throughout my high school experience without much trouble at all. I bought the car when it had around 90,000 miles on it and my only real complaint is that the hood of the car has a weird paint job that does not match the rest of the car. The hood was repainted over and was done poorly by the last owner so it does not quite match the rest of the car. That problem however is purely cosmetic and adds no real issues to the car itself. Besides that one cosmetic issue the car is gorgeous! I love the mustang look and have wanted one for a long time. If gas mileage is important to you I would slightly warn against this car. It does really well for a sports car, but it is not getting the mileage that a hybrid car may get.

So far I have been lucky and have not had many problems out of my vehicle. Owned it for 2 years and only performed regular maintenance so far which is with any vehicle. The 2011 ford mustang is overall a great purchase.
I have had my 2011 ford mustang for four years now and it has been pretty reliable. The gas mileage is fairly good and you can drive pretty far before having to stop. Although shortly after purchasing, I did notice a few problems with recalls such as the airbags, but they were all easily replaceable and not too pricey. The car is roomy in the front but could use a little more leg room in the back. I love the interior lighting and Bluetooth speakers. Mustang: positives and negatives.
I love my car. The backseat does leave passengers feeling tight. The trunk is fairly spacious for a sports car. Another negative is how low to the ground the car is. You have to be mindful when driving so as not to scrape the underside of the front bumper.

An American muscle classic that is worth owning.
Overall my ford mustang is a very fun vehicle to own. It has a good stereo system, and it accelerates very quickly. I love the sound of the engine and the rumbling when you turn it on or accelerate with it. The only shortcoming is it gets low mpg and does not have much space for passengers in the back, but it's still doable as long as the people are not too tall. It also has a decent amount of trunk space for a car its size.

Driving the 2011 mustang convertible v6.
Haven’t had many vehicle problems, gas is quite expensive if you drive a lot like me. It is very reliable, has good performance and looks nice. Drives very well, but kind of shakes and little bit. Very comfortable to sit in when you drive, although I did have to get seat covers over the cloth seats because they were slightly itchy on my legs.

Ford Mustang review. 2011 and newer.
I like the maximum features on the 2011 mustangs especially because it has Microsoft connected and I have the model with the Shaker stereo in it. And Bluetooth features. It has no problems with fuel mileage and on the interstate you can't really ask for a better ride. Excellent cruise control and exceptional fuel mileage. I strongly recommend the Ford mustangs no matter what model or style you choose.

Most fun car I have ever had: it fun and easy to drive. .
I have had my car for 7 years and I haven't any problems. It is comfortable and fun to drive. It drives well, it is comfortable, gets great gas mileage, has Bluetooth; backup cam, colored lights that are changeable inside. I will probably keep driving it for several years. It is such a fun car and I love it.

Great car for a single person.
It is blue. My car handles very well and has great pick up speed. I have never changed any mechanical issues in the time I have had it. I purchased it new. My car has a spacious trunk. I do not recommend this type of car if you want anyone in the back. Even though it actually can seat four people, the back seats has practically no leg room unless you are a small child. By the time my kids were preteens they couldn't sit comfortably in the back seats.
