Spacious interior, this car is quick to accelerate to the speed you want. This is the most reliable car I have owned so far. It has pretty nice features for being an 08', such as back up sensor, heated side mirrors and heated seats. If taken care of properly I would really recommend this car.

Ten year old Ford Taurus - very few problems.
I have really enjoyed this car. The only problem I have had - the transmission went out and had to be replaced. I have also had to replace 2 batteries. Other than the things listed and general maintenance, it is been great. It provides a smooth ride -great stereo system as well.

2008 Ford Taurus- Great Car!
I haven't had any issues with this car. It runs great, and hasn't had any problems. Other than the usual oil change, and tire rotation I haven't had anything done. Along with that, the interior is very comfortable. It is great for driving any distance.

Ford crossover roomy and good on gas
Its drives good, rides good, gets good gas mileage, and has a lot of room. It only had one issue a recall on the power chain that blows out the coil packs but after fixed it has went back to being a great car. The whispers and the tires are an odd length through with it being a Taurus x. It is a crossover but they label it at the parts store as a truck.

My car has like 230000 miles on it so problems are expected at this point. In the last 2 years I have had to replace the brakes, tires, and the battery. I have had to get a who tune-up on the engine, and my fuel pump is going out.

Reliable but occasionally difficult to maneuver.
It performs relatively well, however the steering wheel gets out of alignment with the wheels quite easily and it does not have a very sensitive brake pedal. The car is also quite wide for a sedan and can be difficult to maneuver into tight spaces.

It has the feature let you know how many miles to empty. Taurus review based on age and model
It is very old and does not have an aux connection. The seats are not heated since it is not leather seats. It is a good car if you just want something to do the job. The car has a lot of issues and always needs to be taken to the shop. It takes a long time for the car to accelerate and it has very slow break times.

2008 Ford Taurus- spacious and reliable.
My car gets pretty good gas mileage for a large car. Highway I average anywhere from 26 mpg to 32 mpg. City is obviously a lot less averaging more like 15 mpg. One thing I really love about my car is the personal space as well as storage space. I have never had any reliability issues with my car and it is always dependable to get from point A to point B.

Owning a previous Taurus, in a roll over car was safe.
I have found this year and model for several reasons, one being it is safety. It also is reliable with proper maintenance this car has many miles with normal care. I have no complaints about the comfort either, I take many long trips. This make has the features I need.

It shakes if you drive more that 60 MPH
I like that it gets me from point A to point B. If i travel 60 MPH or more the vehicle shakes. I have had it in the shop multiple times and apparently this is just a ford taurus issue

A great car without many problems.
It performs great I have only had a few problems with. 2 cylinders had to be replaced. Which is not bad for its age. It drives smoothly and does not take too much gas. The tires last a long time, I feel that it is a great car. It stops quick and starts fast.

Ford Taurus makes cars that fit a variety of needs and body types.
My favorite feature of this vehicle is the option to move the gas/brake pedals forward. I am 5'3 and have always felt frustrated with having to pull my seat up in order to reach the pedals knowing it poses a risk to my life if I were to be in an accident. This has allowed me to sit a safe distance away from the steering wheel in case of an accident where the airbags need to be deployed. The car is very spacious as well as the trunk. I purchased my car used and initially had to replace the alternator and for my own preference I put snow tires on in the winter but otherwise have had no real problems. I appreciate the aux jack as well as the storage apartment located on the dash that has made keeping important vehicle related papers (insurance, registration, repairs) organized and accessible. Some other features are the multiple drink holders and adaptors. Driving for a rideshare company my riders are able to charge devices from the backseat! Overall, I have enjoyed my ford Taurus and have had no real complaints with performance or maintenance.

Consistent issues with the computer in the car, it is quite big, roomy, not necessarily a smooth drive, 16 gallon gas tank, neither great or terrible gas mileage, rims have to be adjusted every now and again to keep tire pressure accurate, good sized trunk.

2008 Ford Taurus ' lots of space!
The 2008 Taurus is a great car! It rides smooth, great gas mileage. I currently drive up to 35 miles to work and I average about 25 miles per gallon. The heated seats are an added bonus, including the large trunk the provides plenty of space. The seats fold down in the back as well.

The Ford Taurus X has been wonderful and very dependable. It is serviced regularly. The power steering was replaced once. It drives very nicely. Seats 6 with plenty of room. The 4 rear seats fold down for easy hauling. I would purchase the Ford Taurus X again.

Ford Taurus is a good car as long as you maintain it!
My 2008 Ford Taurus sel has truly been a great vehicle. It is safe, reliable, and comfortable. However it is now an older vehicle and has close to 300, 000 miles. The transmission is beginning to have issues which I expected, but it still makes it from point A to point B. Had to have the valves replaced which was expensive but really extended the life of the vehicle. It rides smooth and has a powerful engine, but gets poor gas mileage and has sluggish pick up when starting to accelerate from a complete stop.

V-6 with a dashboard too high.
I cannot see over the dashboard because I am too short. This is a problem for me in many cars. It is a v6 so it is nice to drive when you need to drive away quickly. Back wheel drive, so not good for icy or snowy areas. Interior looks outdated as if for an older person. Roomie back seats and trunk thankfully.

Super reliable, sturdy car!
Super reliable car. Great gas mileage. I have driven it up mountains on gravel/dirt roads and it has always rallied through. It does have some issues in the cold; doors sticking/not closing is the major one. Very spacious inside and in the trunk. Where I live (MY) 4 wheel drive is preferred but the front wheel power still gets the job done.

The Taurus is fairly dependable but needs to be well maintained.
We have had the car ten years now. Although it works okay now after 130,000 miles we have had problems with the brakes screeching when we make a sharp turn. The driver seat seats too low for my taste, making it difficult to see over the hood and the sides of the car, which makes it hard for me to maneuver in traffic -- not sure exactly where the car is in relation to everything else.

Buggy transmission but good otherwise.
Sometimes the transmission wants to ride at a higher gear, which I hear is common for this car. I will have to keep my foot on the brake hard when stopped at a light because its in second gear. Also, the windows will have to have their chips replaced quite often for the switches on the driver side door. (3 times in 2 years so far).

This car will last many years with proper care.
The car has had some minor problems while in my care. It's not been anything too serious and most of it was regular maintenance anyway but there was an oil leak once that did cost a little money to fix. Other than that the car has been great. I couldn't ask for anything more except possibly a better sound system in the car. It has very easily adjustable seats, and has not hurt my back like some other vehicles in the past. It doesn't have many bells and whistles but it's a sturdy car that will last you a while if treated right.

These Ford Taurus have some quirks (like the bad blend doors) but overall, they are solid, dependable vehicles.
I like the size of my vehicle - large enough to haul and weighty enough not to slide around in the winter. I dislike the problems that this model has with the ventilation system. The "blend doors" are made of cheap plastic and have had to be replaced several times. This regulates the air that comes out of the vents, so it's not a function that one can live without for very long. Better materials for such an important piece would be preferable.

My car has suburban dad written all over it.
My car has a white exterior and runs smoothly unless you're going above 80 then the steering wheel gets too shaky. It's not brand new but it has low miles. I drive it at least 5 hours everyday so I end up filling the tank once every two days or so. Brakes are fine. Oil is fine for now.

A brief description of my Mercury Sable. Nothing really interesting about it. It's a typical daily driver
My car is actually a Mercury Sable but Ford Taurus was the closest you had. I do lots of local only driving yet still get 16 miles per gallon. The car is relatively comfortable considering I'm on disability with severe back injuries. Only issue I have with it is I wish it was rear wheel drive instead of front wheel drive.

Cheap, spacious, and gets the job done.
Bought it used with over 100k miles on it so it isn't perfect. It's held up though. Had it for almost 2 years and have driven across the county 3 times without it breaking down. It's comfortable except for a broken ac on the passenger's side but that's to be expected with the age. Trunk has a ton of space considering it's a fairly small car. Fairly happy with it.

Great midsize vehicle. It is in between an SUV and a traditional sedan. Smooth ride, large trunk that holds as much if not more than a SUV. I feel safe in my car. It's been fairly reliable, gets about 400 miles per 17 gallons on V6 engine. Plenty of pick up and go. THe only thing is do not get black interior. It gets hot!

Great size for a car but.
We have had some issues with it. The engine will not shift at times and has to be shut off and turned back on which usually fixes the problem. It is otherwise a decent car and we will drive it until it breaks. It has amazing trunk space and great space inside the cab as well.

I like that my Taurus X seats seven passengers and that the seats fold down for cargo space. I appreciate the versatility of the car. My biggest complaint is that the wind buffeting that happens when the windows are down.

Ford Taurus; great buy, dependability & affordability, in the $2000-5000 range.
The ford Taurus seems to like the cold weather and always starts. It idles rough and often I have to push the gas pedal to get it started, then rev the engine a few times or she might stall out. The Taurus often chokes and sputters at stop lights but so far has never stalled and I do not have to rev the engine to keep it running once its warm. The defrost worked great and the wipers are a lot better than my old cutlass, you can pull them away from the windshield at night so they are never frozen solid to it. Also, there are a lot of taurus' on the road and in junk yards so used parts are easier to come by and cheaper too. The Taurus has a large trunk as well. I guess it could use a bit more get up and go when you jam on the gas.

Safety and low maintenance not a bad car
It is a good car and low Maintenance, I am used to better cars but this is ok for now

Stylish,and reliable , love this car and I’m a dodge guy
I got my 2008 Taurus about a year ago the car is awesome I can’t say enough good about it and I never liked the Ford Taurus but this 08 model is sharp , fast , great on gas and handles awesome , I love that it will get up and go when I need it to just have had to change the oil and rotate tires just normal Marian eve and this car will be really good to you I would most definitely purchase another one I bought mine used with 125k miles and I’ve put another 100k on and not a single issue I give it 4.5 stars all day long
