The limited trim is awesome.
My car has the limited trim, so it has heated leather seats in the front and the rear. The seats are also cooled. Has a sunroof and come on stock 19 inch rims. Comes with rear view cam and the screen is inside the rearview which is pretty neat. It is only FWD which I do not like but definitely not a deal breaker.

Taurus, safe and reliable. Family car.
It reliable and dependable I love the way it looks and runs so smooth. I haven't had to do any major repairs just normal wear and tear repairs. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone and everyone. Because I love my Taurus. Since I don't have to spend money on costly repairs I have more money for my family.

Spacious trunk and great Gas mileage
The vehicle is really smooth with driving, the gas mileage is awesome with the traffic I go through, and the car has a lot room in the back seat and trunk.
accountCircle Tristian T
I have aftermarket rims on it.
The only problems I had with the vehicle is the power steering pump. I changed it once and it needs to be changed again. The second problem is the strut bearings. I think all ford vehicles have this problem after so many miles. I current have 230k miles and my ford Taurus and it doesn't show any sign of slowing down.

It's great gas mileage. I average about 26 miles to the gallon.
My car gets great gas mileage and handles very well. The car rides so smoothly that I often don't realize how fast I am going. The sound system is wonderful. However, there isn't really enough storage for me.

For the money it is the best car you can buy both value and appearance and functionality
Love this vehicle, roomy, runs great, have had no problems.... The only challenge is that we heard Ford is not making them any more

Great car inside and out!
The Taurus has been a great car. It really has the space of a SUV, the trunk is huge and the interior material is durable. It is now almost 10 years old and I have only had to replace the battery. There has not been any major problems. The ride is smooth it looks great inside and out.
accountCircle Alyssa D
Extremely spacious. Perfect for a family !
At first I thought that I was going to hate my Taurus. Then I fell in love with everything I thought I was going to hate such as, how long the car is. Now I love the space and it is so perfect for us and our 1 and 5 year old ! It comfortably fits a large convertible car seat !

Negative Owner Reviews

accountCircle Maggie R
It is ugly and too small. I can not have any extra people in my car so going places with someone else isn't an option.
It is too small for three car seats that I want to fit. There are dents in the side and scratches on the top from a tree hanging down. I want something with less miles and a lot more room. I don't want the biggest vehicle but something comfortable.

Breaks down all the time!
I have had my 2012 Taurus for 1 1/2 years. It is in the shop almost every month.I have spent so much money on repairs and it still keeps breaking down.
accountCircle Angelique D
The bumper sits really low.
I like the space, however I hate the style. It's also terrible on gas. The material that was used to make/design the care is very cheap.
accountCircle Andrea S
It is not for everyone. It should be test driven for a whole day.
I hate the way you can see from the rear window. There is also a blind spot on the sides..... I like the smoothness of the drive..
accountCircle Brandon A
How unreliable it is and how it is constantly in need of new parts.
I dislike how often something goes wrong with it. I dislike how it isn't as quiet as other cars. I don't like Ford supporting Trump. .makes me wanna never buy a Ford again. I thought the car would be more durable than it is. .always something going wrong with it.
accountCircle Brandon M
Ford's are unreliable and my Taurus has been nothing but headaches for me
Breaks down too often . .gas mileage is the oneplus, but with the durability issues i have to give it a low rating.
accountCircle Pam M
It is really too big. It's not economical on gas and it's not comfortable.
It is a gas guzzler. It is just too big. The dashboard is too high and I feel like I'm driving a tank. It does have a huge trunk which I do like.
accountCircle Shannon T
Rear back up assistance. I like the rear back of assistance.
What I like about the 2012 Ford Taurus are the leather seats, power seats and windows, rear back up assistance, and the amount of space inside of the car. I do not like the gas mileage. The performance is pretty good except there are some suspension problems.

2012 ford Taurus excellent condition!
Brand new tires. Changed brakes, suspensions, oil regularly. Zero performance issues at the moment. Drives really good. Has one hundred and twenty five thousand miles. Outside of vehicle is 8/10. Two fender benders from previous owner on both sides of the fenders. But does not interfere with drive itself.

Amazing car especially for a growing family!
This has been a fantastic family car! It gets great gas mileage and runs smoothly. Also very roomy! I have two small children and there’s always plenty of room for all of their things. There’s a good bit of trunk space also. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone with a family whose looking for a change!

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Raee R.

My car is Big enough to fit my family. It is Great on mileage and gas space safety features. Nicely set up. Being able to drive a long distance and not feel like I am going to die from sitting for so long.

likeFilled Jennifer J.

I like that it is kind of a tall car. Compared to my previous Taurus (1996) it is much higher. I also ended up liking the gear being in the middle and not on the steering column. Spacious back seat and gets good gas mileage.

likeFilled Amy A.

Easy to drive. Roomy. Low maintenance. Good visibility. Overall it's very convenient vehicle. I would recommend this car to anyone wanting. A practical and safe car. Comfortable with a large trunk. All the features are practical and work well.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Raee R.

I cannot really complain about this car. It has been great to me since I have had it. It is just small things that could be changed but other than that I really love this car. I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

dislikeFilled Jennifer J.

The rear window is rather small. And since I am short the front columns (on each side of the windshield) can be a blind spot in some instances. The CD player is really beneficial when on a long trip, it does not play multiple CDs.

dislikeFilled Amy A.

It is not exactly flashy. I haven't had any problems. Maybe some better paint colors or interior options I really do not have anything negative to say it is been a great car. It's just a good basic car. The price is very good I would recommend to anyone.

How Reliable Is The 2012 Ford Taurus?

I have not had any problems with it. The replacement tires are a little more expensive because of the size but they are probably worth it.

Everytime I drive the Taurus it always starts right up the first time. I follow the simple maintenance program and everything seems to work fine.

I have not had one issue with this vehicle. Ford makes a solid vehicle time and time again. I come from a Ford family and have yet to be let down.
Susan L.

Is The 2012 Ford Taurus A Good Value?

It is expensive but you get a lot of bang for your buck compared to luxury brands that have the same features.
Jordan H.
It was bought for 8000.00, the blue book value with the mileage that was on the car was listed at 9600.00. I've put nearly 2000.00 in work on the car, so it is a wash in value.
Laurel F.
Our current model is loaded and cost around $30,000. But all of the Taurus's we have owned have been very good values.
Iris F.
The cost was right under 20000 and I feel it's a great value because it has just as much power as other vehicles for a much smaller price.
Christy M.
It is priced at an extremely competitive rate. Lots of bang for buck! Whether you have a family or not, you can't go wrong with this choice!
