5.3l v8 canyon is a blast.
Transmission issues but very reliable otherwise. Worth the purchase and intend to keep the vehicle for years. Very comfortable to ride in and enough space for passengers. Performance is great, the 5.3l v8 makes it extremely fun to drive and really adds a lot of power. Fuel efficiency is somewhat lacking.

It is a manual not automatic and it gets good gas mileage
It has good gas mileage. Rides smoothly. Dependable.

Dependable
Everything I could want, except when you have to replace something. It is near impossible to work on it by yourself. Example: replacing the starter.

2010 GMC canyon 4wd 4 door.
No problem, regular maintenance good tuck. A little underpowered. Plenty of room with the four doors. A little choppy on the ride because of the off road package. Gets pretty good gas mileage for a four wheel drive truck, about 24 mpg on the highway.

My car and its basic-ness.
My vehicle's performance is not perfect but it is enough to accomplish my needs. It is reliable and there are not any extraordinary problems. The comfortability is fine. It has the same features as one would expect. My car is exactly what you would expect from a car - nothing less, nothing more. Especially, nothing more.

GMC canyon: good but not great.
Overall my GMC canyon was a decent truck, pretty good gas mileage however even with delicate driving and frequent oil changes and routine maintenance, a few issues popped up here and there that were a but expensive to fix. You should be able to get at least 250,000 miles out of it at least with regular maintenance.

2010 GMC canyon pickup owner's review of the vehicle.
Performance is excellent. It is a very reliable vehicle. It is very rugged as well. GMC brand is very good and I am proud to own one. It is an extended cab, not a full cab but it has enough room for what I need. The only thing I do not like about my vehicle is the turn radius is not very sharp at all.

Family smooth hauling truck.
It rides smooth. I love it because if I find something I like I haul it. Its four doors so the whole family can join us rides. Our tomtom (dog) likes riding in back. They are spacious and seems to be a pretty cool truck. It does not have a lot of features but sometimes less is more.
