It has a v6 engine in it.
My GMC truck has Wi-Fi capabilities and I can listen to my phone's music through the infotainment center. The seat belt on the passenger side does not retract right so the company is going to fix it since it is a new vehicle. The truck is very comfortable.

2017 GMC canyon: great truck.
Considering my previous truck a 2004 dodge Dakota, my canyon has everything I want. Four wheel drive, side runners, Sirius satellite radio, it is an automatic drive. I has power windows, and remote locks. I can start it while I am in the house. It has seat warmers that can be adjusted for each person in the front seats. I can shift into four wheel drive very easily. OnStar services were included. I can also create my own Wifi hotspot in the truck if I chose.

High up to see all around me.
Love my truck, high up so I can see all around me. Has all the necessary perks and still fits in my garage. Will allow me to tow almost anything.

Go Anywhere, Do Anything!
Our GMC Canyon is a diesel. It has the comfort and durability of a full size truck. We haven't had any problems with it and plan to keep it for several years. We have pulled trailers and RVs with ease. It's easy to drive in rainy or snowy conditions and the GPS is usually very y accurate.

Gorgeous truck inside and out!
I love my GMC Canyon, it drives really well and not like a truck at all. The cab is spacious and meets my needs for hauling people and things. I've had it for two years and never had any issues with reliability. The features on the Denali trim will keep this truck in my driveway for years. Classy and functional truck. It looks amazing and performs really well. It also includes heated seats, apple carplay, several USB ports for charging and syncing. The leather interior is also gorgeous.

It is capable of performing what slightly larger vehicles in its class can perform.
I bought this vehicle because I need a vehicle that would allow me to tow small items like small boats or small camper. It provides better than average gas mileage for me and contains all the equipment like navigation, backup camera, etc. That I wanted. No dislikes of this vehicle.

GM Canada sucks
My 2017 canyon has been at the dealership for 5 months, it stops running when powering or passing on a hill (UNDER POWER) GM is going to buy it back from me & only willing to pay 1/2 of the price I paid for it. It only has 30000 kms. On it. If you have to deal with GM you are in for a wake up call........One very unhappy customer

Problems with this truck
Truck shifts bad bangs into gear like I hit something does not do it all the time but scares me everytime it does it. Hard to keep tires balanced in 49 I had to rebalance all tires 9 times. Good fuel mileage 24 to 30 highway if I burn shell Premium can get 600 miles or more a tank. It's hard to get in and out of to high up and top of door to low so can hit your head even if your 5 foot inches tall.

GMC canyon is still not a Tacoma!
Cup holders too small. Rear window is not powered. You would think a Denali package in a vehicle like this would have a powered rear window and cup holders big enough to fit a water bottle! It also has odd shifting points that seem to make the engine have higher rpms than it should.

Unicorn Truck
My 2017 GMC Canyon Denali 4x4 2.8 Duramax has exceeded my expectations in towing, mpg, comfort and gadgets. We pull our 5000 pound travel trailer with ease in various terrains and the diesel braking system safely keeps you off the brakes. The tow rating is over 7000 pounds unmatched by any midsize pickup. The extra $ upgrade to diesel is worth it for towing and mpg at 30 on highway. Due to supply chain issues GMC is going to discontinue the diesel option making these trucks availability very limited with a price premium if you can find one.

Canyon Denali trucks are not just for men.
I have had no issues with this vehicle. This truck performs great, it handles nicely in all kinds of weather and road conditions. It has a nice comfortable ride with a quiet cabin and adjustable heat/cool seats. I have found it to be quite gas efficient and has all the creature comforts including a wonderful sound system. I have so many options for listening.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Morgan E.

Size and power for my needs. I like the package options. I like the ability to load up some cargo but still have the ability to not have such a large truck. I have had 1500s and 2500s in the past and their size was just too much.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Morgan E.

Rear slide window is not powered. Cup holder is too small. Wireless phone charger does not fit a plus size phone. Needs more tie down options. Powered recline instead of the manual handle. Moon roof on all Denali.
