Heated steering wheel. Remote start. Back up camera.
2019 GMC canyon sle crew cab. Everything you need in a truck for less gas mileage than a full size. I pull a 20ft light camper with no issues. 4 wheel drive, no issues. Handles the road well and city limits easy to maneuver in traffic. Overall great truck!

The vehicle comes with apple carplay.
Reliable, feels like a transmission shift issue when putting in drive sometimes. It pulls 7200 pounds. It is base model wish it had keyless entry. I have t had issues with it except for road hazard/ nails in the tires. Gets good gas mileage. Didn't come with a bed liner, but I'll be adding one soon.

The color choices and the quality of ride while maintaining great gas mileage.
Zero complaints. It is good on gas and has a very smooth, car like ride to it. Plenty of storage space, both inside and in the bed. The electronics are just enough to make a person happy but not overwhelming to confuse or take the focus off the road. It is peppy and stable.

I love my GMC canyon, never going back.
I love my truck! I have always wanted one, but not too big, and this one is perfect. Very comfortable and enough room. I was a little worried about a smooth drive, but I didn't need to worry. I lease so when my lease is up I will definitely be getting another one, no more SUV or car for me.

Love my GMC sle 4x4 canyon!
7500 miles and I have had no issues. It drives well, has good gas mileage for a pickup and has met every challenge I have given it. The 4x4 system engages smoothly. Gets better gas mileage in the mountains. Plenty of power and lots of storage room inside that I did not expect. Love it!

The dash is very attractive and very user friendly.
It is very economical. Fuel mileage is great and the options it has are really nice. It is midsize. So the perfect size for traveling and comfort. The bed of the pickup is a perfect size for a trip of hauling groceries or a job like moving households.

You will not regret buying a GMC canyon.
I have a 4 door 2 wheel drive GMC canyon. It has a backup camera, which I absolutely love. It has SiriusXM radio and OnStar. It is up to you if you want to keep them. You get them free, usually, for 3 months. I have added some upgrades to mine that weren't on it when I purchased it. I added running boards on the sides. Rain guards on the windows and bug shield on front. Also had a spray in bedliner. Next I will be adding a hardtop to the back before vacation. If you are thinking about purchasing this vehicle, let me tell you, it is well worth buying.

Perfect for outdoor families.
Have not had any problems with the GMC canyon Denali. The truck is comfortable, easy to drive. Seats have both heating and cooling making it helpful driving from the northern states to the south. The truck has been very reliable. It is perfect for our family because we enjoy the outdoors and haul downhill skis, kayaks, dogs, and we camp. The truck is the perfect size for us.

Calgary couple out $5,000 CAD because General Motors could not ship the required part in a timely manor
Calgary couple out $5,000 CAD because General Motors could not ship the required part in a timely manor. Here is a summary of events leading up to these excessive expenses. On March 17 this year, my wife and I were driving home back to Canada from Phoenix, Arizona. We were 20miles/40 kms south of Page, Arizona when the charger cooler tube on the turbo unit failed on my 2019 GMC Canyon diesel truck (still under full warranty). We called AAA and had the truck and our trailer towed back to the nearest GM dealership, which was in Flagstaff. We met with the Service Advisor the next day, Wednesday March 18, and by 11 am the part was located at the GM parts depot in Reno Nevada and would be at the Flagstaff dealership 6 days later on Monday March 23. Because we were concerned the Canada/US border was closing and with the excessive amount of time it was going to take to ship the part to the dealer, we offered several times to pay for the expense to expedited the shipping of the part to the Flagstaff dealership from the GM parts warehouse in Reno by air or ground by FedEx, Purolator or DHL. The Flagstaff dealer and GM turned us down three times. Please note Reno is just over 700 miles (1132 kms) from Flagstaff. We met again with the Service Manager on Monday March 23 and were told the part had not arrived and it would be there Wednesday March 25. The part still did not arrive on Wednesday March 25. The Flagstaff dealership said the parts were some where between Reno and Flagstaff and that GM did not have the ability to track any parts. They said the parts may arrive Monday March 30. At this point we decided to rent a truck $2000 US ($3000 CAD) and tow our trailer back to Canada. Again both the US and Canadian Governments were threating to close the borders and the hotels in Flagstaff were quickly closing. We left Thursday morning March 26 after stopping by the dealership one last time to see if the parts had arrived. The part still had not arrived. The parts finally arrived Monday March 30, 13 days after the parts were ordered and the truck was repaired in two hours on Tuesday March 31. Because the border between Canada and US now remains closed, the only way I could get the truck back was to have it shipped back into Canada is by a commercial transport company. The Flagstaff dealership said GM might offer to pay for the transport of the truck between Flagstaff and Great Falls Montana. I offered to pay for the remaining transport between Great Falls and Calgary. Again GM declined. Also why is it that only Cadillacs bought in Canada quality for a free 800 km tow while other GM models don’t? My total bill to transport the truck from the Flagstaff dealership to Lethbridge Canada was $1350 US ($1995 Can). Cole International’s charges for inter-border documents was $150 Can. So I have spent over $5000 CAD on a part that maybe worth $100 all because GM didn’t have the required part at the dealership, could not track the part from their warehouse in Reno and give us a clear delivery date, and would not let us pay to have the part fast-tracked from the warehouse in Reno to the dealership in Flagstaff. I finally picked up my truck May 11, 2020 from the Davis GMC dealership in Lethbridge. So I submitted all my expenses to GM Customer Service Canada hoping they might pay a portion of the expense but I have not heard back from them.

Service and Transmission
Bought new 2019 Canyon after 3000 miles transmission started slipping and rear tires making a loud noise. Took back to dealer to check out and after keeping 2 days said transmission fluid needed to be changed. After 6m miles still same issues. Dealer says that they can't find anything wrong.Guess we'll have to wait till we are broke down on the 4lane and have to be towed in.

Good looking truck
I bought a 11600klm Gmc Canyon (demo), did just over 200kms and started to vibrate while driving. I contacted Macmaster in London Ont. To let them know, they scheduled a service, the guy in the mechanic shop is going to check and calibrate the tires, which I told them, is not the tire problem and they know it well. Don't try to throw sand in my eyes ... There are hundreds of complaints about this problem and GM doesn't take over the problem and collects it once and for all. Increasingly disappointed with American cars.

Engine issue but great new features.
I have recently been experiencing a problem with drive belt and it is only at 46,000 miles. Other than that it drives smooth. The interior has very nice high tech features and the backup camera is a very nice feature to have. Also, the remote start is a very nice feature to have as well.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Tina F.

L like that it sits up higher, is not a full sized truck, has a bed that is long enough for my needs, is comfortable to sit in, comfortable to drive, heats well, cools well. I have learned how to get the most out of the gas mileage and consistently am above the 17/24 rating for city/highway driving.

likeFilled Sara T.

Very nice looking truck, gets great gas mileage, handles very well on highway, great back up camera, great storage under back seat, good cup holders, pick up bed is nice size, stylish for a women, nice leather trim.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Tina F.

It sometimes feels like it is difficult to get out of from the front seat, maybe due to the smaller size of the vehicle itself. I also wish it had some kind of step on the side so that I could get into the box up near the cab. I have to get up into the box to get anything that has slid forward, and that is usually everything.

dislikeFilled Sara T.

The headlights are not bright enough, seats are very uncomfortable on long drives. Had to put step bars on to help getting in and out of truck, added rain shields to doors. Front cup holder in odd position.
