Good size. 4 Wheel drive. Decent on gas. Plenty of passenger space and lots of trunk space. Handles really good in all types of weather. Good sound system. It has a sunroof and abs, alarm system and OnStar.
Good gas mileage and very good handling in snow and ice. The vehicle has three different settings of those is 2Wd, 4Wd high, and 4Wd low which makes the diversity for different terrains very handy. The gas mileage is also great for short distances.
Handles well. Not many mechanical problems. Lots of storage space. Able to fit many people in the car. High off the ground. All of the interfaces are easy to read and everything makes sense. Able to adjust the seats very easy.
Hard to park in tight spaces. Expensive to fill gas to full. Ac not the best and heat does not heat high enough. Expensive to upkeep and maintain. The sunroof is now leaking and is very expensive to fix. Have tried a couple of times to fix but it still leaks. Might have to seal it.
If the torsion bars are not tightened enough it makes it difficult to drive on bumpy roads. The factory settings for the shocks are the bumpiest and it is an extra cost to get it tightened to ensure a smooth ride.
That GMC does not make any more envoys. To get a new radio in costs a lot more money due to the fact that GMC does something weird with their wiring. It is easy to scrape off the paint. Some bumps in the road can feel pretty bad.
The 2008 GMC Envoy has an average owner rating of 3.82 out of 5 which ranks it #16 of 20 other Midsize SUVs.
