I like how it handles, it is decent to good in snow. I bought it used only 6 months ago, but it has not given me any trouble. Also, buying used, I got it for low price. It has plenty of cargo space, too.
It has plenty of room for 8 people. You can also remove the seats. I think minivans are safe. I like the champagne color. I like the captain's seats in the front. Plenty of room for large items. The side windows open which is very rare for a minivan.
Pros is that they have a lot of space and great for family cars. It comes with a good amount of space and very comfortable. Has a great smooth drive. In other words if you have a big family I encourage you to buy this GMC safari. Great for going out and will not mess up on you. Parts are also very cheap to fix.
Obviously, as an older vehicle, it may not last as long as newer vehicle. It is slightly bulky, so a bit harder to find a parking spot.. Any repairs, if or when they're needed might be expensive, or parts might be hard to locate..
I do not like the fact that it only has one side door that opens. I just put new tires on my van and it feels like I have no shocks. You can take the seats out but they're extremely heavy and hard to maneuver.
The cons for this vehicle is that sometimes you have to get it checked out for the oil. But other than that this car is great. You just have to take care of it and make sure everything is running good with no engine problems. Always good for family cars and etc.
The 2005 GMC Safari has an average owner rating of 3.71 out of 5 which ranks it #5 of 5 other Fullsize Vans.
