It is a rough and ready pickup truck.
It has been a great truck since the day we bought it. This is the second GMC we've owned, they are reliable, tough, just good all round truck. It drives on the farm, transports children & grandchildren & we love it. When we're in the neighborhood for a new vehicle we will be purchasing another GMC pickup truck.

Love my new truck. Inside of cab is real nice Has lots of storage space.
Don't have key for doors Haven't really had any problems. Had to buy key for my wife. Cost 125.00 dollars. Love heated seats. Lots of spaces in door pockets. Good sounding CD player. Double cab lots of room to put groceries or children. Great on gas mileage. Very smooth ride Got great price.

Can haul huge weights without any drag or sluggishness.
It has proven to be reliable and consistent in its performance and can haul extremely heavy loads, the mileage could be better but overall its performance has been grand not very spacious but with the additional line-x coating it s bed will outlast the truck itself, I have only had to have it painted 1 time and my tax fee is extremely low insurance is average.

Its interior is very comfortable.
Pontiacs are absolutely amazing vehicles. Their performance is outstanding. And we have never had a problem with our car. Its interior is very comfortable and it has a great seat warming feature. It is definitely not a very big car for a family but it fits us perfectly.

It's an older truck which is dependable. Gas mileage is acceptable tut's year. Has a cover on the bed which is good for hauling stuff

GMC Sierra - We Are Big Fans
I think the GMC Sierra is fantastic. It has operated perfectly with no issues. We have owned other makes/models of GMC vehicles in the past and have also been satisfied with the maintenance and upkeep on those vehicles. The Sierra has performed well in Michigan winters and continues to be one of our all-time favorite vehicles to own. We have two GMC Sierras because we like them so much.

My 2008 GMC Sierra. Great vehicle.
Great truck. Haven't put too many miles on it at this point therefore I've only had to conduct routine maintenance thus far, ie oil changes, brake jobs. For it to still be in such good condition after 11 years is a blessing. I would definitely recommend the vehicle.

Old truck that holds up well
For the 2000 GM truck the engine has been great. The only drawback is the non-power windows and no cruise control. It drives well in winter and summer. Has 4 wheel drive that I rarely have to use. It has a nice full back seat that the dog can easily get into.

Held up well in a small accident I had
Bad gas mileage, reliability is okay, pretty sturdy got into a fender bender and it held up really nice the only thing that was wrong was the bumper cracked overall pretty good truck. The interior is pretty nice with seat warmers and lumbar adjustments. The AC is kind of short on the passenger side sometimes takes some maneuvering to get it to blow cool air.

It is a solid and durable truck. Built to last. Not the best gas mileage but that is understandable due to the fact that it is a pickup truck. I have had GMC vehicles before and the brand has always been very good. I have over two hundred thousand miles on my current pick up and it still runs very smooth considering the high mileage. When it finally does reach its limit I will definitely be looking into buying another GMC vehicle

Sierra: The only truck you need.
The vehicle is reliable and it works great because I can move items without having to rent a truck. Also, it has decent gas mileage.

It a good truck and very dependable.
No complaints. It has been a very good truck to me. It is the best vehicle I have ever had. I can depend on it.

2000 GMC sierra 1500 5. 3l v8 with 300k miles.
I love my truck! However, GMC's are known for electronics issues. But I have the 5. 3l v8 engine which has been eternally faithful with almost 300k miles on it. Everything else will fail before that engine ever gives out! I recommend this vehicle for everyone looking for a reliable vehicle, but only if you get the 5. 3l v8.

How Reliable Is The 2000 GMC Sierra 1500?

It is very reliable. It has a few problems but they are just minor. It has a big motor and is powerful for its size. Would have liked to have gotten the stepside short bed though.

Is The 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 A Good Value?

It actually cost me 3000 which is not a lot apart of the lights everything works just fine the lights from brake and it easy to get parts
