It has been a safe and reliable car for many years and has loads a regular automobile could not handle.
I like the ride. I like the cargo carrying capacity. I like the Handling. I do not like the gas mileage. I do not like the noise.

It has standard transmission so you need to know how to shift gears in a 5 speed pattern
I like small pickups I dislike the fact it rusted out fairly quickly after i bought it also some of the routine maintenance involve extra work due to the way the truck was designed

For a guy my size, I have a good amount of legroom.
Beautiful car. Uses a lot of gas. I love how it handles the road. I love driving this car.

GMC cars and trucks are noted for their reliability and that has been the case ever since I owned my first one.
Dependability, comfort and reliable. I don't worry about being stranded somewhere.

Loved my truck
I have had mine since 2007, it had 60,000 miles on it when I bought it and have not had to put much money into it except for regular maintenance and one radiator in 2017, in 2013 I did have my spare tire stolen, police said thief had cut the cable on it, Had a new cable and spare put on it and a little over a year later I was driving down the road and heard a noise, I looked in my rear view mirror to see my spare laying in the road behind me. The cable had broke. Like I said I rarely had problems with it but this past July with out any warning it just died. Had two mechanics look at it an they thought it had a cracked head. So it died at 160,000 miles, Was one of the best little vehicles I have ever had. I loved my truck, Had side step and chrome round rails. I had several people that had stopped me on the street trying to buy it from me before it died. :-( rating it at a 4 because I think it could of run a few more miles before it died :-(

It has required very little maintenance. Standard things like tired, brake pads and oil changes but not much else.
Reliable to get me where I need to go but not roomy enough. I have teenage boys that play sports year round. Need more room for equipment.

Still love this truck.
Awesome still today. In a world of plastic trucks with plush SUV interiors, my 2004 Sonoma ZR5 4.3L stands out. Roomy at 6 foot 2 inch. Very comfortable and sporty but not like todays soccer mom interior trucks that Id be afraid of getting d***y or scuffing up. Also the ZR5 wasn't slapped on every model like the Z71 and ZR2 were. I'm a solid GM owner but is there anything they wont put the Z71 emblem on. I remember when it was cool to see it on a nice truck or full size blazer. I know, my wife drives a 1997 2 door Tahoe Z71 with a 5.7L.

It is standard transmission.
I like the mileage. I hate the repairs I have had to do. My s-10 and my ranger I had before this truck held up a lot better.

It's reliability, durability are what stands out the most on this vehicle. The gas mileage is not so good.
It will withstand a lot of punishment, it will last a long time and with minimal maintenance.
