Love the space for people and cargo. It drives smoothly not like a truck. Decent on gas mileage.
Excellent 4x4 capability including changing from 2 wheel to 4 wheel drive on the fly.
accountCircle Wanda S
The comfortable ride for me and the family, pets included.
I like my vehicle because my older children have plenty of legroom in the middle seats. It also has a rear seat that will seat 2 more adults. I like that it has rear and front AC and heat. Keeps everyone comfortable in the back. I do wish I had bought the 4 wheel drive version. We live in the country on a dirt road. The only thing I don't like about it is you have to completely remove the rear seat if you need a large flat area to haul something.

Great family vehicle for travel.
Very comfortable. Has been reliable. Minor issues. All resolved. Great for when you have more than 3 passengers. Lots of room for suitcases and trips.

My yukon can tow/pull just about anything out there.
I have a 2002 GMC yukon xl 4x4 and I love her. She goes anywhere I want her too and some places I didn't know if it would make it.

The car fits our large family and has been very reliable. It is powerful enough to pull our large boat and is very comfortable

2002 GMC Yukon Denali XL still runs like the real quality vehicle it is!
Though the 2002 GMC Yukon XL Denali is now 16 years old, it still rides beautifully! Built in DVD player, comfortable leather seats, seat warmers in all 4 captain chairs, space for 7 plus plenty of cargo room. We have had no major problems and have only done basic replacements or repairs (granted it has over 213,000 miles on it). Parts and labor so far have not been outrageous and the engine runs like new (pretty quiet, no stutters, strong pull, smooth).

Yukon happiness! 3 row seats. Moonroof. Upgraded sound system . DVD system.
It has a lot of room for passengers. 3rd row seats. The back seats fold down which is great for moving and transporting large items. I bought the vehicle new when my daughter was a junior in hs and having room for 6 passengers was great! It rides very smoothly and has all of the bells and whistles for all. I had a DVD player installed at the time of purchase and it worked very well to keep teenagers occupied while I was driving. . I still love this vehicle.
accountCircle Tinisha M
It is very reliable, I have been driving it for 15 years and it has broke down on me.
The engine seal has deteriorated. This causes oil leaks. This has made a big stain on my garage floor.

Its safe and protects me.
The car is safe and didn't give me any issues until about a year ago. But because its 16 years old, it makes lots of noise and has lots of issues. The car is old, parts are breaking.

My vehicle is a 2002 Denali XL. I've had it for quite a while, the car has been excellent I've enjoyed it and at this time it's courses up. So I am working on purchasing another vehicle. At this time I'm not able to afford a new card at this time so I'm waiting.
My Denali, is just old and I need a new car. That's really what's wrong with it. Just waiting for the time to purchase another one, at this time I'm not able to.

Saturn vue need regular maintenance and require constant love otherwise they will break down easily. I've been fine tuning mine so it can withstand what i consider normal wear and tear on a vehicle but it is not the most durable vehicle out there
My vehicle is actually a 2002 saturn vue but GMC did make those cars. I like the car because of its shape and size however I dislike certain features of the car such as the limited wear the parts on the car is able to withstand and the issue that crops up frequently with the throttle positioning sensor
accountCircle Joshua M
All together a reliable vehicle and it has a built in amplifier for the radio.
Good vehicle, real roomie, lots of engine power, terrible suspension, okay gas mileage and top heavy and doesn't take curves good at all.
accountCircle Jennifer B
It does not have good gas mileage.
I like that my vehicle is able to carry large amounts of passengers and items, but the gas mileage is terrible. The electronics included are outdated, and the vehicle itself is cumbersome.
accountCircle Samantha M
2002 GMC Yukon love the heated seats!
The interior is pleather and nice. The sunroof is a nice feature. The engines in these things are solid. Only complaint is the captain seats in the second row instead of a bench seat. It has driver seat programmability. It also has heated front seats. It doesn't have the latch system for car seats.

I love the travel miles you get once you hit the highway with a full tank. Very fuel efficient for its age
I like my truck. It gets me from point A to b but it's just the brakes and rotors keep messing up on me. I had to replace them more than 6 times since I got the car and I only had it for about 2 years. Maybe the previous owner did the damage before me.
accountCircle Renee C
It has required only minimal maintenance.
Solid vehicle that has had no major issues-only regular maintenance such as brakes, etc. It is hard on gas, getting approximately 14 mpg.

Yukon for life. Very spacious and comfortable ride.
It drives strong. The only problem is that it is a gas hog. But I love this car. You feel like you're the king of the road. The transmission didn't need replaced until 340,000 miles. We replaced that and now it's like brand new again with only 1,000 miles.

When driving my vehicle, you need to go extra slow when turning left.
I like how spacious and comfortable it is. I like how safe and smooth the car ride feels. I don't like the high mileage and the little bit of rust that is starting to show.

Jessica L.
It's an excellent vehicle. It has all the bells and whistles. The vehicle is older, but runs well and had only needed minor mechanical replacements along the way
Ashley S.
Yes my family has had it since it was new and I will drive it until it won't drive any longer. Not having a car payment is a blessing
Benjamin B.
Excellent we love this car. It's 17 years old and still is beautiful and runs great. Of having 30 some cars in 53 years this one is the best one we have ever owned.
dan L.

How Reliable Is The 2002 GMC Yukon?

It is very reliable. I had mine for over 5 years and I had no problems until a year ago my transmission went out but other that it was the usual tune ups.

It is reliable. I have taken it on 3 or more hour drives and it hasn't broken down. Does well on gas also out on the highway.
Shannon S.
Very reliable car. I don't have to worry when my kids and I pile in and need to head out in a storm.
Steve L.
I mean considering the vehicle has almost a two hundred thousand miles it's an extremely reliable vehicle.
Kate S.
Leather seats have worn and air shocks died 6 years ago. Otherwise it's still great. The car has no problems and is extremely reliable.
Debbie R.

Is The 2002 GMC Yukon A Good Value?

It's around $4500-$5000 cash which is a good value to me for the quality of the vehicle. I would recommend to anyone with a big family or is just looking for a big and reliable vehicle.
Melissa F.
We purchased ours for $5500. It was used already but I believe it cost every penny. Its value was just and really worth the purchase.
Jordan K.
Given all the extras, the name and reliability, the price is great. You get what you pay for and it shows!
Trey M.
Brand new it was over 50 thousand dollars but now it might be worth 3 thousands but that's the way cars work
Courtney Z.
When We bought it the price was $52000 and it was a lot back then however what you got and the reliability of it made up for the high price.
