The family vehicle with power
We have a 2003 Yukon Denali, it seats everyone in our large family and it's great for road trips. The towing package skies us to pull things with ease, the rude is smooth and had limited road noise. True, it does not have as good of gas mileage as a minivan but our duties go beyond soccer practice.

It runs great and has a lot of room.
I like that it seats 9 people and that the trunk is large enough to fit my double stroller, cooler and groceries. I like that my radio and air conditioner work great. I dislike the rust on the outside.

This has been the best choice for our family plenty of room for everyone.
This has been the best vehicle almost 275000 miles with no major issues ever! I have been the only owner and performs as should with regular maintenance.

If you do not feel comfortable driving large SUVs, this may not work for you.
Absolutely love this vehicle!! Loads of room for people (7) and cargo. Captains chairs in 1st & 2nd row. Towing a 16' trailer is a breeze. Love the sound system and heated seats!!

Comfortable even with a large family and reliable
I don't really have any Complaints about this car. It's a great SUV for a family. It wasn't Bluetooth compatible and didn't have an AUX but I just added one. I also replaced the middle row for a 3 seater bench to fit our large family. Drives great even at our high mileage and is reliable.

It takes a lot of premium gas to run, and gas isn't cheap.
I like that my GMC is big and spacious. I like the leather interior. I love the comfortable seats and steering wheel. I love the console and radio. No complaints.

Piece of junk cars with faulty wiring can be a deadly ride.
My car is a piece of junk. The lights flicker due to faulty wiring. The engine dies out when u maintain one speed. It is very hard on gas. It is not a good vehicle. It is not dependable it will break down at a moments notice. It is supposed to be a SUV but the amount of gas it takes makes it unreliable.

It gets me from point A to point B.
Window doesn't work. Bought for 4500 and have put in 3500 worth if work. Brakes are going out. Radio does not work.

A reliable, long-lasting vehicle .
My vehicle is fairly reliable, especially since I make sure to maintain the vehicle as suggested by a trusted mechanic. It is also comfortable, the seats are leather and heated. I like the sound system quality. It performs well, I appreciate 4WD capability and the safety a larger car affords me. Also, the car is paid in full. However, it is an old vehicle that does not have a lot of features that are in base model cars on the lot today. It is not fuel efficient either.

Big enough for my four kids.
It has a short in it that caused it to catch on fire in the back with my kids in the vehicle. Transmission has problems along with door locks and window motors. The only thing I like about it is its big enough for all four of my kids. I will not ever buy another one.

It's old and worn enough that I'm worried I'll have to get another car next year. I can't really drive it somewhere farther than 3 hours, for fear it will break down.
If I'm driving 70 mph or over it starts to shake pretty bad. When I try to turn it on, recently its been stuttering. The paint is chipped off in certain places. The heated seats haven't worked for years.

GMC Yukon is a smart purchase!
I have an older Yukon that hasn't had any problems at all! I would check all the fluids when needed, changed tires when needed. The engine & transmission has never had any cliches at all! I Love driving the Yukon over our Expedition by far!

Non working gauges on dash
I have a 2003 Yukon. When I got it after my mom passed away, (she was the original owner) it only had 33,000 miles on it. That was in 2013. It's now 2021 and it has 96,000 miles. Almost every gauge on my dash has gone out. Speedometer doesn't work. Gas gauge doesn't work. Battery gauge doesn't work. Oil gauge doesn't work. The only gauge that still works is the temp gauge. And I'm sure it is only a matter of time before that goes out too. Everything else about my truck I have no complaints about. But those gauges are important! I need them to work!!!!!

Good running and reliable vehicle for 15 years. Would purchase again.
Reliable. Comfortable. Roomy. Lower gas mileage is my least favorite.

How Reliable Is The 2003 GMC Yukon?

Not at this time. We had transmission work done about 1 year ago. Not really any other serious problems. Had to have painted several years ago

Is The 2003 GMC Yukon A Good Value?

In 2003 we paid $56,000. At the time we thought it was a little overpriced. However, 16 years later it is still running as well as it did when new. Have enjoyed this vehicle very much
