How to maintain a 2003 Honda Civic ex.

When I first received the car, it was in okay condition but after a month, many problems began to pop up and add on. I feel like the person who sold me the car, wasn't completely honest. I spent over $1, 000 on fixing the car. It took me about 6 months to a year to finally fix it up to somewhat brand new. Today, it has a few minor problems such as having to purchase new wheels, brakes, windshield, etc. But all in all, I take very good care of my car. I make sure that everything is filled such as oil change, coolant, and so on. So as long as you are up to date on maintenance, your car will run for a long time. Only thing I need to work on is saving up for a new paint job because I realized that throughout the 5 years I have had the car, the paint is beginning to fade or peel off.

Reliable car with good gas mileage

We have had this car for almost 15 years with very few problems. It got great gas mileage to begin with (47 mpg or so), and the way it showed our mileage changing in real-time was useful in teaching us how to drive in a way that used less gas overall. Our average gas mileage has gone down over the years, and now we usually only get around 38 mpg. The last few years the transmission has started "jittering", and the back windows don't always reliably work, but those are the only real problems we have had. We are very pleased with this car overall, and are planning on getting something similar for our next car.

Honda civic is the car for me. Great gas mileage! No major repairs!

First car i've ever made payments on; so it looks better and newer than any car I have had before. It runs well and gets great gas mileage. I haven't experienced any mechanical problems with it, The car I had prior to it was also a Honda civic; the year 1999. It ran well too but, I bought it outright and it had a huge dent and an overheating problem. The 2003 is wonderful. All I had to buy was a radiator cap! I love the way it drives, takes curves well and hugs the road in the rain. If I were to buy a brand new car, I would pick one of the Honda civic series.

2003 Civic with 265,000 miles and still running!

My car has been very reliable, currently still running with 265,000 miles. However, during ownership, most often it is a number of small things that add up to large bills; exhaust replaced multiple times, brakes, tires and alignments (all standard), but then the timing belt, head gasket, air conditioning compressor and multiple alternator replacements have proven very costly. Honda's typically have the most reliable longevity, and most parts can be replaced easily and with aftermarket parts, however when a Honda reaches it is end, it let's you know.

Reliable, long lasting performance. Great for commute

I have had this car for 15 years now and it has endured this long. We maintain it regularly based on manufacturer's recommendations and its performance has exceeded my expectations year after year. I have well over 150,000 miles on it and still drive it to work (30 miles one way) each day. It is a small, 2-door, but comfortable car, great for commute. I have had no major problems with the car, no engine issues. It has very standard features, such as power locks and windows, alarm system, and a radio with CD. Sound system still works great as well.

Do not buy old Hondas, unless you are prepared to replace all the locks, and they are not cheap.

I love everything about my Honda, except one thing. Honda made a huge mistake with their locking system and I'm outraged that they refuse to fix it. The bearings in the locks wear out and owners are forced to spend thousands to replace them. While the problem is manifesting itself, they get stranded because the key will not enter the ignition. The dealership acts like it never saw such a thing before, but a simple Google search exposes the problem. Honda should take responsibility for these defective locks.

Queen Elizabeth because she rules the road.

This car might be an "old girl" but she rarely has problems. I recently had to replace the alternator and the battery-- however, to my knowledge, this is only the 2nd time for the battery and the 1st time for the alternator. She accelerates quickly, great mileage. I have had two other makes/models before and I hated them- newer, but they broke down more easily and were more costly to fix. The Civic is great. 200,000+ miles and purring like a charm. I'll get another Civic when this one bites it.

This is a great car my dudes. You should probably get one.

I haven't really had problems with the car. The ac blows like a cool blast of wind on my face while I am driving in the california sun. During the winter when I am freezing cold and I hop in my car, I crank that baby on heat and bam, she’s ready to go with some toasty air to warm my freezing buns. This Civic has been nothing but reliable. She never breaks down on me, and I have never had any crazy problems with it. Parts are cheap and maintenance is fairly easy. Best car I have owned.

2003 Honda Civic ex sedan.

I drive a 2003 Honda Civic ex sedan. Last year I put a brand new motor in that car and since I have done this it has been running terrifically. The motor was the only problem I have ever had out of the car. It is very comfortable and drives very smoothly. Very good on gas which is convenient because I have a long drive to work everyday. I would very much recoup Honda to anyone looking for their first car it is a great vehicle to start off with because it is very dependable.

- Zoe B

Honda Civic is a comfy and stylish car compare than other expensive car.

It is comfy and good design. The performance is also good as it is 2003 model but compare that it is in good mode. My car is a two seater car and the front sit is really comfortable but back seat is not that comfy. It is 2003 model car so it has less feature than new model car. According to others branded car I found Honda is most favorable and stylist car compare than their prices. I also found the good engine durability. As my car is very old but never disturb my engines.

- Honda C

Extremely reliable. Car is over 15 years old and performs like a champ.

One of the features of the car I enjoy the most is Its gas tank capacity. The vehicle has a mid size tank a 13 gallons, however it gets an impressive 36 miles per gallon it is very great on gas. The car is over 15 years old and has undergone two major overhauls. I learned a very costly lesson that caused me to replace the engine. However, I did have to replace the transmission about 2 years later. The car is very reliable when you stay up-to-date with regular maintenance.

2003 Honda Civic in 2018 btw best car btw.

Ok my little Honda Civic has gotten me through a lot. I love this little beast. It is great in big urban cities. Runs smoothly. Feels like new. It is like a time machine it is 15 years old but the style is classic and they do not make them like they used to. I have kept my Civic in top shape over the years, maintenance is very basic and everything is easy to replace and upgrade. I constantly upgrade the interior and do not mess much with exterior. I like the classic look!

2003 Honda Civic with 156, 000. 00 miles still quiet and runs like a top!

It has 156, 000. 00 miles. Have had no major problems. Just tires, battery and brake replacement. My granddaughter was in an accident early on and she had repairs made at a local high school repair shop. They did not do a good job and the car leaks, making it impossible to go through a drive in car wash! Since I have aged it is no longer comfortable getting in/out the this car, as it sits so close to the ground and I'm a tall female!

- Beverly S

Most reliable car. No problems like, no money.

A car for the ages. If you need a car that is reliable for many years, purchase a Honda. I have had this car for many years, and it hardly gives me any problems. Since it is a 2003 make, it lacks the features that the modern cars have. However, it is biggest strength is reliability. Perform has decreased over the years and gas mileage has also reduced, however, the car is still reliable and does not give me problems at all.

- John M

I have a lot of room even though its a smaller model the new sedan is larger.

I love my Honda it's been so reliable never have any problems, would buy a new one if I could, but mine has low miles, will keep forever, I had the timing chain changed when it got over 150 thousand miles which is recommend, this car was a gift to me for my birthday,, it was used but like brand new, I recommend anyone to buy a Honda they are well worth it, and the new sedan is larger than mine but nice and sporty looking.

- Bobbi F

Reliable and low maintenance.

This car works like an appliance. You get in and turn the key. Everything always works. You never doubt that the car will perform all they way to your destination. This car is incredibly cheap and easy to fix. The spark plugs are right on top and accessible. The cam sensors are easily replaced. Air filters are a breeze. This is a car that can easily go 250k or more miles hassle free.

Pearls Survival in New England.

I own a Honda Civic 2003. It does not take a lot of gas and for being 15 years old it has not had many problems. living in New England the regular check up and changes required ie breaks, tire and tire rods are for the most part the only expenses I've had needed to make. Besides the alternator that recently went it was 15 yrs old as well so it was due for a change. She's reliable and safe.

- Natacha N

Taking care of your Honda Civic.

While the vehicle is incredibly reliable, I have had a few issues with it but that could be due to high mileage such as oil leak and problems with catalytic converter. If you take care of your Honda as you are supposed to and put money into it whenever need be every year, your Honda should last you a very long time. I have had this car for 11 years and I do not ever want to part with it.

- Amanda N

My car gets me where I need to go and doesn't take much gas!

I bought my car new so that I could be sure it was well taken care of It's entire lifespan. It has taken me on some wonderful adventures and I think the champagne color I picked is gorgeous. I definitely can tell that it's getting a little older but it still gets great gas mileage and keeps me going where I need to go! I think I can fix up a couple of things and keep it for years more!

- Sarah R

It is great on gas! I only have to fill up about every two weeks.

Love the vehicle, it is great on gas and never gives me much trouble. Although, it does have a lock issue. I have the climb through the passenger seat to unlock the drivers side. It also does not have the option the have an AUX cord, only CD’s but that is just an age issue. It is a pretty old car, but it is paid off and gets me where I need to be so not much to complain about.

- Madison N

2003 Honda Civic LX super reliable!

I bought this car used and it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've had this car for about 3-4 years and the only problems I've had it the lock on the driver side door comes out of place often. Also, the passenger side seat belt sensor light stays on. These are minor problems and easily fixed. This car has been super reliable for me over the last 3-4 years.

- Brittany M

High miles but even higher value!

In my opinion, my Honda Civic is the best car I have had. Even with over 200,000 miles on it, it still runs like brand new. I haven't had any problems out of it other than a catalytic converter needed to be replaced. It's really good on gas as well. I've had a full tank last about a week and a half (roughly 400 miles) and it fills up cheap (about $28 at $2.53 gas).

- Rebekah I

I like the fuel economy of my car.

I love this car, it is pretty old but that is okay with me. I love that it will last me a long time, and the gas mileage is amazing. I like that the seats are not leather, because in my experience with other cars, leather keeps heat and burns your skin if you are wearing shorts. I also like that I am able to take it on to long road trips and it handles just fine.

- Ashley A

My car is perfect for me will continue driving it for as long as I can.

No big problems, love the way it drives; the low cost of maintenance, and the miles I have put on this car and continues to run great. It is very comfortable and the seat fits me perfectly. The color has maintained its color with very fading or no rusting. I would buy another Honda as they are very reliable and fits my needs and wants for want I need a car for.

- Pat R

Civic: car that can withstand the test of time.

It is a fairly old car, but it is durable. I have had a number of repairs done and it has accumulated over 181, 000 miles. Some exterior damage was sustained to the rear and front, but overall it is served it is purpose. One thing that I do like about the car is it is handling is still in good condition and I haven't had to replace or repair the suspension.

- Tony V

Honda 2003 Civic runs on magic, Honda made to last.

Honda is a great car that is build to last for a long time. My boyfriend has had our current car for over 7 years, and it was bought used with 100k miles on it. He has put 150k miles on it since buying it, and the car has lasted a long time through regular maintenance and care. The care is comfortable, compact, and has an extremely long shelf life.

- Jennifer A

Money saving comfortable riding car.

My Honda Civic is easy to maneuver and drive. It is easy on gas, oil, and water. It does have a gentle take-off from 0 mph to 25 mph, but has never left me stranded. It maintains high speeds on the freeway. It has kept its external shine since 2003. The inside is spacious, comfortable and easy to clean. The am/FM radio and CD player all work well.

- Adam D

It's an amazing car, and love putting stickers on it and seat covers!

It drives great normal fixes on it! And it has great cruise control. And I love it as a second car! Great car as a second car. And I've had my dad fix breaks and change oil and greet tires and batteries. It's very comfortable and great speakers, and headlights and truck is angriest size people fit in it perfectly as long as your not to tall.

- Mary W

It has been a very good car for us, and the hybrid system is reliable.

I like saving money on gas by driving a hybrid. The car has been reliable and comfortable to drive, and it is much quieter than our previous car. It does bother me that the miles-per-gallon on the display reads about 10% too high, and there is a rattle in the dashboard. But I hope to keep driving this car for at least another five years.

- Cavan F

It gets you from one place to another without any major problems.

The performance of the car is alright. I bought the car used and so it had some issues right out of the gate. I believe overall it could be a decent car for the year of it but there is just issues with mine currently that I haven't had fixed so it's quite annoying. Leaks gas, the motor can be very iffy, and the battery isn't the greatest.

- Kimberly R

I am very happy with my Honda Civic. It has over 288k miles and still runs great!

I am very fawned of my Honda Civic. I love my sunroof, all of my controls work; windows, locks, wipers, etc. I find it very comfortable to sit in, and it is awesome on gas mileage! $30 usually fills it up completely. Although it is a two door, it is still a roomy car and backseat passengers do not find it uncomfortable or cramped usually.

- Charlie N

The steering wheel locks if you knock into it in any way getting into and out of the car. It will freak you out any time you go to try and start it later and have to finesse it into letting you do so.

My Honda Civic Hybrid is a vast improvement, gasoline wise, over the previous vehicle. It doesn't guzzle gas nor does it cost a fortune to fill it up, which is always nice. The downside is that there are two batteries to worry about and they both conked out at about the same time a few years ago and it was very, very expensive to fix.

- Marian C

In summary, my Honda Civic looks nice and runs well.

Its old, so has some cosmetic issues: paint chips, scratches, etc.. Slightly noisy but runs well and reliably. I have only had it for a year and have really enjoyed driving it as well as fixing the car up and making it look nice. Hondas are known for reliability as long as you take care of them. I plan to drive this car for a long time!

- Kayla G

2003 Honda Civic in ok condition.

Well being it is an older model 2003 Honda Civic the upkeep and maintenance for this vehicle is a bit pricey. There is always something wrong with it I have all but exceeded the original price for the vehicle being that I am not able to get a newer vehicle at this time unfortunately I have to keep this car in a reasonable condition.

- Tori R

It is an oldie but a goodie!

It is an oldie, but a goodie type of car. Hondas are pretty reliable and this car is not any different. Albeit it is not very stylish and nowhere near new, it is incredibly reliable. I have had the car coming up on five years, and the only issues it is given me is general wear and tear that any car over 15 years old would give you.

- Erica A

The Honda Civic is the car for me!

I recently purchased this vehicle, and it is a great fit for me! The gas mileage is amazing, which fits well into my life because I have a 30 minute commute each way to work. It is small, but efficient. The only problem I have is the transmission seems to be acting up right now, so I am going to take it to a mechanic this week.

- Rachel W

My white lightning in the wind.

Easy on gas, picks up speed fast and a lot of room. . Radio changer on wheel good on tires and hardly ever breaks down. . . I choose Honda a million times over. . The speedometer is digital and the gas gage is dots so you know exactly how much you are going and how much gas you have. . . You hardly see any wrecks with Honda's.

- Danielle C

Over all this car is perfect for someone on a budget that needs to get around.

The car is a gas saver. Works really well. Really do not have problems with it. I have had this car for years and it is reliable to get you where you need to go. The space inside is pretty spacious. When you park it is easy to park due to the size so if you struggle with parking with big cars, I recommend to get a Honda Civic.

- Cecilia C

Honda Civic 03. Good reliable and fun to drive! I give 10/10 dude.

It saves a lot of gas. Reliable car. Good to get around everyday. It is easy and not so expensive to fix. And it’ll run good. Mine has a good engine and it rarely gets any mechanical issues. I love it highly recommend as a first car. It is very cool. Like the color selections! It is also kinda roomy you can fit 5 people.

- Yvonne C

The fuel mileage is great and Honda air conditioning is super cold

This vehicle has been very reliable have had a few small problems starting with the charcoal emissions canister had to replace it because it was making check engine light come on and the top cap of fuel tank cracked had to repair that too not expensive just a little work besides that it has been a great car for 12 years

- Mike S

My old (but functional) Honda Civic lx.

My car has been very reliable, but recently failed its emissions test. It still runs, but the engine makes strange noises. It has over 160, 000 miles on it, and I know it could last even longer. Although it does not look as nice as it used to look, it still gets me from point A to point B effectively and efficiently.

- Em B

This car is the most reliable car out there, decent gas mileage and nearly 300k miles.

Honda Civic is a durable, reliable sedan. It has a spacious backseat and fold down seat for trunk access for larger items. This car has all the bells and whistles you could have asked for in 2005; power windows, power locks, cruise control, manual transmission, moonroof, sunroof and a spoiler so you KNOW it's awesome!

- Rachel S

All this and heated seats too?

While I do not really have problems I do not like the electronic fuel control. The gas pedal is extremely sensitive and at times so touchy I feel like I am in a race car. I do like the layout of the dashboard, controls and lighting arrangements. The seats are very comfortable and I like the heaters on the front seats.

- James S

Mellow performance under the hood.

There are very few problems with my car. It is an older car so the automatic transmission timing is not as up to speed as I would like it to be. Also, being a 4-cylinder, it is acceleration is a bit slower than what I would like. It also does not come with an aux cord. Other than that, I love this car in every way!

- Jacob Z

Excellent resale value not given to heavy use organizations.

Reliable, and good gas mileage for all the driving to and from work that I do every day. Even though I do not address the warning lights as quickly as I should for proper vehicle maintenance I appreciate that I always know when something is needed on my car rather than having to guess or take it in to a shop.

- Steven R

The amazing Honda Civic it is the best car around.

I have had my car for over 15 yrs. and I have not had any problems. The performance is excellent, I mostly use my car for shopping and going to my church, taking others to the store or pay their bills. I enjoy driving local, not too much into distance. The Honda Civic is the best, I wouldn't buy any other car.

- Jewell J

It is old and cheaply produced.

I purchased my Honda about 2 years ago with 160k miles on it, I do general maintenance on it every 2-3 months and still have plenty of mechanical issues including wiring issues, battery issues, and break issues. But all repairs on it are quite inexpensive. The look is outdated and just not appealing anymore.

- Natalie S

Extremely reliable and low cost on gas.

My car is a little older but it has lasted for a very long time with little to no problems at all. It runs smoothly and it is always reliable. Since the car is older it does not have much features to it but the sunroof has always been my favorite. It is able to be not only a sunroof but a moon roof as well.

- Ashley K

My car is stick shift and thus creates good gas mileage and traction.

Gas mileage is great as my car is stick shift. It has great space and is compact and thus is super versatile. It does have manual windows which can be a pain but the material of the seats makes it very comfortable especially in hot weather. It does lack power when going uphill but for city use is amazing.

- Or F

Great bargain for car seekers.

My car is a compact four-door sedan. It is easy on gas and oil, giving me 30 miles per gallon on gas. It is easy to maintain. It has no major or minor mechanical problems. After 15 years of continual use still has its beautiful exterior paint job and still retains the same beautiful comfortable interior.

- Adam T

2003 Honda Civic coupe, great condition.

Very reliable, easy to maintain. Nothing has gone wrong with the car. We bought it used with 120, 000 miles and it drives great. Maintenance is inexpensive, and there are online diy videos for maintenance if you do that yourself. The car gets great gas mileage, and is compact to fit in a small garage.

- Julie W

My car shakes when it goes over 45 mph.

My gas light comes in a few minutes after I would put gas in my car. Also my car shakes when I would drive over 45 which might have to do with my breaks and all of the functions on the left side of my car are slowly giving out on me. I would love to have a new car but I do not have the means to do so.

- Cupid T

Honda Civic - Old Reliable

It has been a very reliable car. We have only had to do routine maintenance over the years. And the gas mileage has been really good. As time has gone on, though, it seems to be losing power. When we bought a new vehicle we noticed how long it takes the Civic to get up to speed and climb hills.

- Hope M

Great, reliable vehicle- recommended.

I bought the car used in 2007 with 55, 000 miles and no issues. Since then the exterior rusted quickly and has a few other flaws but overall, the engine has worked great for nearly 15 years, and with over 209, 000 miles. Just normal wear and tear for the most part. It has exceeded my expectations.

- Jenna D

It is very economical and say to you a lot of money on gas and is very good.

I love my Honda Civic 2003 it is very comfortable to drive very dependable car that gets me where I need to go and also saves on gas and very economical the engine is very smooth when you drive it you cannot even hear the engine it is a very good car for long drives and very comfortable seats.

- Patricia P

My Honda. . . Economical, stylish, dependable.

Being an older car things are starting to be replaced. I love the efficiency of this car. It is a standard transmission, and has an electrical system, that will run car if one runs out of gas. The parts for this car are very reasonable. The body style is nice and the interior is comfortable.

- Christine R

My Honda has been through a lot and is still awesome.

Honda’s are very reliable cars. This has been my second Honda and I have absolutely no complaints about this car. The gas mileage is very good and it does not cost an arm and a leg to fill the tank. I would always buy Honda cars because I have just been so comfortable and happy with them.

- Case D

Fun light car manual driving good mileage.

The Honda is light, fun to drive! It is a manual which is very enjoyable. Mileage is pretty good but it burns a lot of oil, which is not extremely environmentally friendly. Getting in the back seats is not the easiest but once you are set, it feel fairly spacious. Fun reliable car overall.

- Lei P

Reliable, safe, start vehicle.

It is been reliable, the perfect size and has lasted a long time. It is an older model, so the electronic are very outdated and the paint is going. One of the features is a sunroof, which is really nice when it is warm out. The radio went haywire after a while and wasn't easy to replace.

- Alyssa J

Most reliable car, runs amazing, has given me no problems.

Since I bought my Honda it has given me 0 problems. The ac/heater works amazing, the car runs perfect and everything still works perfectly fine. It burns almost no gas and I can fill up my tank with about $40. It is super comfortable and it drives really well for it being an older car.

- Giselle G

It is a very reliable and gas efficient car. Has treated me very well.

No major problems yet. I take care of it maybe that is why it is lasted me this long very reliable and comfortable. Would probably get a newer version someday. I have only had minor problems wasn't that expensive to fix and it is very gas efficient. That is the best part of my car.

- America D

2003 Honda civic lx sedan.

It is a great and reliable car. No mechanical issues and great on gas. The only issue is that there's not a ton of room. It'd be an awesome little car for a teen who just got their license or a couple who does not have kids. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with the civic.

- Courtney H

Honda Civic: stylish and affordable!

My 2003 Honda Civic is great! It gets fantastic gas mileage (always a plus!). drives smoothly, and you never feel like the car is going to flip around on tight turns. Another great thing about the Honda Civic is that replacing damaged/broken parts is affordable and easy to do.

- Reina A

Honda civic is meant to service with a unique experience.

It comes is cool colors, small but spacy inside. Seats are very much adaptable, it is high enough with enhanced stability, good quality, durable, exciting to drive and ride in. Inexpensive and cost effective to manage. Spare parts are common, can efficiently use any lane size.

- Isabella N

The amazing 03' Honda Civic.

Great car, good gas mileage, not bad in the snow. Reliable, comfortable, sunroof, drives smooth, performance is fantastic, radio, power windows and locks, small back seat, good size trunk, power side mirrors, ability to dim dash lights, trunk can be locked from inside vehicle.

- Lex D

Great dependable car, good mpg and nice simple accessories.

The Civic Hybrid is dependable, decent in fuel efficiency and fairly quiet for a small car. The issues are that the fuel efficiency isn't as good as a comparable car, like the Prius. There are minor trims that have come off. The weather stripping was not installed properly.

- Richard C

The car that would not die.

My 2003 Honda Civic hybrid has been a dependable little car. Easy ride, great gas mileage, very few problems. It is comfortable for me, the driver, and for passengers. Of course, being a 2003, it is lagging behind in technology. All in all, it has been a satisfying purchase.

- L S

Little engine that could.

Beginning to get older. Different areas seem to be not quite working as they did years ago. Will make different noises occasionally. The steering does not feel as sharp as it used to. however, for as minimal amount of extra work I put into the car, it is still running well.

- Zac C

Avg. 34 mpg great economic car to drive.

Car has almost 300, 000 miles on it and still drives like a champ. Comfortable and is a great commuter car. I average about 34 mpg. I would recommend this car to anyone who's looking to save on fuel. Reliable and stylish to drive. Overall really great car to own and drive.

- Christina H

Honda Civic 2003 - bought in 2014 and have had absolutely no problems with it.

This car is old but it runs like clockwork. The Honda Civic seems to be the most reliable car on the market. According to research the 2003 model is the one to buy. The previous owner broke one of the sun visors so do need to get that replaced. But am happy with my Honda.

- Patricia H

I absolutely love my Civic.

The wipers stick at times but other than that I love it! Its is reliable and perfect size for my family. It has held up through several road trips and has only needed standard maintenance. It is very comfortable in the front, could use a little more leg room in the back.

- Joe P

2003 Honda Civic ex- great fuel mileage with lots of power.

My 2003 Honda Civic ex 2 door coupe gets great fuel mileage and has excellent get up and go. That is when it is running properly. I have a check engine light on for a misfire in all four cylinders. I replaced the ignition coils and plugs. Light came back on the next day.

- Lawrence B

Trust your Honda whether it is used or not.

I bought my car used and it came with a good motor but needed a tune up. It will take care of you if service is done at a decent amount of time. It runs efficiently and it is great on gas mileage. It is an older model but it is in good shape. It is a 2003 model Honda ex.

- Chandra P

It was built to last. I've seen other people go through two or three cars, in the time I've had my car.

It's absolutely wonderful! I was the car's first owner, and have owned it since college. I can't even consider getting a new car, because it doesn't make sense- this car is still running so we'll 15 years later! Mileage is great, and perfect for being run in the city!

- Dena S

Honda Civic review: it is a great buy and a car you can always rely on.

My vehicle is very good with gas and is a very reliable car for being 15 years old. I would buy a Honda again. The only thing I would change is next time by an automatic instead of a stick shift. It is a very reliable car and comfortable as well for being a small sedan.

- Elena A

It gets great gas mileage and can be driven for a long time, I have over 200,000 miles on the car

The Honda Civic gets good gas mileage. It handles well on the road and I like that it is small since it allows me to leave part of my lane for tractor trailers that like to take some of the space. It does have a lot of road noise, but otherwise is a great little car

My own little Honda Civic miracle.

My car is still running well at almost 210000 miles! It has been a very reliable means of transportation. I would buy another Honda in a heartbeat! My car is not great to look at but I use it to safely transport me and my dog friends and they are not picky occupants.

- Victoria D

Cold ac and great gas mileage.

This car has great gas mileage for making long trips. It runs smoothly. Fresh oil change and transmission fluid. Is cleaned weekly, so the car is pretty clean inside and out. The hood is discolored. Working cold ac. Able to put new and update to date radio in.

- Kayla J

It is stick shift and runs like a champ.

This car is super reliable. It is great on gas and very comfortable. It is not as new however it is a good car that will get you from point A to point B. It is great for people who commute and do not want to spend as much on gas and want to drive comfortably.

- Stephanie H

Great gas mileage and very comfortable.

It gets great gas mileage and is reliable. A small car to park anywhere. It is comfortable to ride in and hardly anything breaks down. The seats are comfortable that steering wheel is a good size. A/c works great and it is easy to keep clean and maintenance.

- Laura R

Honda Civic - Best car for a first-time driver

This car is great in terms of durability. It also gets great gas mileage. Right now, I can go about 40 miles without needing to refill. The downfall is that it only has two doors so if I have more than one passenger, someone has to squeeze into the back.

- Xia N

Fuel mileage along with speed.

I really love the fuel mileage I get with my Honda Civic which is around 30 mpg. But the best thing is the power that comes with that when it is right. The bad news is I have a check engine light I cannot get to go away. All in all extremely satisfied.

- Lawrence B

How my old cheap car got me everywhere I need to go. Don't need a new car with all the gadgets.

My vehicle is getting old and therefore it needs a lot of repairs. Most recently I had to get the AC fixed. My vehicle has also been in a car accident (before I bought it) so the hood doesn't close properly. But other than that it gets great mileage.

- jodie v

One thing that is important about my vehicle is the fact that it is stick shift and thus does need a little more maintenance than most

The Honda I own has amazing gas mileage. It is a stick shift car and when it comes to performance it is superb. It is compact and thus fits virtually anywhere. It is a 4V so when it comes to going up hills it does have some lag but nothing too major

- Rocio F

It starts every time and has been dependable.

My car does pretty good on gas. It doesn't have a lot of power so I stick to staying off the highways. Its all electric with cruise control and a sunroof. The body is in relatively good shape given the. Year of the car. Repairs are very affordable.

- Lori E

It's a great car. I can't find myself switching and have no need to upgrade while it runs so great.

This care is extremely reliable. Even used, this car has run like it's been brand new since the day I've gotten it. Plus if I ever need anything done on it, or any new parts, the upkeep is very inexpensive. It's a great car for someone on a budget.

- Anna R

They should know that if they are looking for a cheap, good quality car then they can get a Honda civic.

I like my vehicle a lot, it was bought from an acquaintance at a very cheap price (2,000 dollars). It runs very well, which I like. Some things I dislike are the number of miles (198,500) and the lack of innovation compared to new cars made today.

- Raquelle l

Reliable Car for Busy Working People

My 2003 Honda Civic is an extremely reliable car. It has 210,000 miles on it and nothing wrong with it. I have put maybe $3,000 into it for the whole life of the car. It's not a tech savvy car, but its great for getting from point A to point B

It is the most reliable vehicle.

I like that it is very reliable, fuel efficient, very economic to maintain. I have no dislikes or complaints about it. I used to have another vehicle - a minivan - before I retired so, I am a little spoiled when it comes size and space.

- Abhay D

It is a white four door Civic with manual transmission and has good gas mileage.

My car is a stick shift and when it comes to the clutch and brakes it is very inexpensive. The gas mileage is great and the interior is a great material and keeps in the heat and ice great!! A reliable car as long as you take care of it.

- Ro F

It's really reliable and accelerates nicely on the interstate.

This car has been really reliable for years. There are few problems that I have with it other than my radio stopped working so we had to replace it and my check engine light is always on. It accelerates nicely which is why I love it.

- Taylor M

My car is great. With proper maintenance this car will last.

I love my car. My car has been good to me. compared to most cars my car is great on gas, everything works how its supposed to, only issue I can think of at the moment is that the fabric on the car seats are easily faded by the sun.

- Amanda D

That it's a Hybrid. It also is a stick but it is easy to drive. I get 50 miles to the gallon.

I love that it is a Hybrid and gets great mileage. The car has been very dependable. Every time it has a problem it costs extra because it is a Hybrid. Right now it's SRS light is on and it has a date with the dealership. Yuck.

- Rosy K

It is very safe and very great in mileage.

My car is very reliable and comfortable. It's got great gas mileage and I love my car. It has a nice radio. Wonderfully comfortable seats and steering wheel. It has plenty of room for the things I do and it need low maintenance.

- Kelsey C

It will continue to run longer than other cars as long as you keep up with maintenance.

It has been very reliable w/o any major concerns for the last 15 years. It still performs better than most cars of its age. I would love a new car with updated features, however it is hard to part with a car that I can rely on

- Leesa L

Some problems, but nothing that cannot be fixed.

My check engine light keeps coming on, it's a comfortable car though. Its a 2 door. Both of my windows don't roll down. The battery is dead so I cant unlock my doors from the inside or from the key buttons. The car runs fine.

- Diamond E

My air conditioning does not work, I have heard that is a common issue.

I really like my vehicle. The size is perfect, and it does not take much to fill up the tank— so that is a money saver. Something I “dislike” is the year of the car. As it is getting older, more problems are arising.

- McKenna O

Honda Civics are reliable and long lasting, with ideal size.

I like the size of my car. It is small enough that I feel comfortable driving and parking it, but it's big enough to fit everything I need for everyday use and short trips. I don't like that my car is kind of outdated.

- Elizabeth H

The car has good gas mileage.

There are many maintenance things that could be better since it is such an old car. But I do like the kind of car. I have found it to have good gas mileage and it is still in good shape for how many miles are on it.

- Athena G

It runs very smoothly and is very good on gas

I really like my Honda Civic Hybrid it is a very comfortable car to drive in you can hardly tell the engine is running it is so quiet it's very sufficient car and also has good gas mileage very good for long drives

- Patricia D

It has great gas mileage. It is very dependable.

I am not very happy with my current vehicle. It is very old. It has a lot of rust. Also, the interior is in bad shape and the roof leaks. Other than it being old it is a good and dependable car if it was new.

- Angie W

It is a natural gas vehicle.

I love that it is a natural gas vehicle. I save so much money on gas and it runs so great. I dislike how much i can feel in the vehicle on the road, i need new shocks. And i wish it had a charger or aux cord.

- Rocky R

Super fuel efficient and low emissions, so low impact on the environment and less time at the pump.

It's a CVT hybrid and judders from a stop, but other than that, it's been incredibly dependable. Very fuel efficient. Allowed me to receive tax breaks, discounts on parking, and drive solo in carpool lanes.

- Beth A

It Keeps on Ticking. 260,000 Miles Later.

It is a dependable, long lasting vehicle. My only complaint is that it is getting near the end of Its life. It is easy to drive, has required almost no repairs and gets good gas mileage. Almost perfect.

- Edward L

It is in great condition, less than 200k miles after having it for almost a year.

Takes a little while to increase the speed. It is an older car so the heating up and cooling process takes longer than what I am used to but as a Honda, it is been a reliable car with good gas mileage.

- Alexis C

It is a great car if you need a car that is simple and affordable.

Good first car. Great for getting from point A to point B. Good gas mileage. Low maintenance. Only issues I have had is that it is not the best in snow and when in traffic my car overheats very easily.

- Abbie R

It's a great first car for a teen or young adult!

My vehicle is very nice for someone my age. It's small, easy for me to drive, and a nice quality vehicle. I dislike that it's old and doesn't have features like an aux cord outlet and a back up camera

- Courtney L

Great first car: basic and reliable.

Problems: clear coat is peeling. Had to change the locks on the doors because they were sticky. Performance and reliability: great. Comfort: good. Feature: not a lot. I have a very basic model.

- Anne A

The rims on the wheels make it look kind of ugly, but overall the car is great.

The vehicle is in good condition. The air conditioning is great and it runs smoothly. It is a two door, so it is hard to fit big things. It is a fixer upper, but definitely a great starter car.

- Jackie S

Compact and convenient on gas

The car's best feature is gas mileage, although the year of the car shows through a few issues. There was also an airbag recall which was an inconvenience. I am looking to upgrade my car soon.

- Jackie V

Honda Civic 2003 Classical

This vehicle is such a great vehicle comfort level is decent, runs great, does need to have regular maintenance, only problem was over heating but fixed with new radiator and thermostat.

- Laura R

Honda Civic 5 speed review

This car is awesome on gas it's 40 miles to work one way and I only fill up once a week careful about the immobilizer unit in the ignition the wear out quick and are expensive to replace

- Joshua B

Beautiful gray Honda Civic.

It operates smoothly. doesn't need work often. Great vehicle. I do wish the car was a bit larger however it fits perfectly in my parking spot which is a bonus. Great steering mechanics.

- Diego C

Its a honda civic and although its old its reliable

I like the size it's small enough that i learned how to drive with it but big enough to have my sons car seat in. The only thing i don't like is that i have to manually unlock the car.

- Yossely V

Do leave without a jug of coolant.

It is a great car, I am just pretty hard on it so it has overheating issues due to a blown head gasket. When it was stock it is ride quality was superb. Also a very safe car to drive.

- Hunter B

It was a great deal and I could afford it without taking out a loan.

I just got the car. It is a coupe, so I don't have back doors. That is taking getting used to. It is red and I always wanted a red car. It is fun to drive and I am very happy.

- Nicole H

It is a hybrid so it only has 95 horsepower.

I like the vehicle because of the look and the great gas mileage. There is a manufacture defect where the start clutch slips that bothers me. Besides that though the car is great.

- Robert H

Not to put an American made oil cap on a Japanese make car.

I like that my vehicle drives very well and is easy to maintain. I also like the size of it as i prefer to drive smaller cars. I only wish it was more capable of winter driving.

- Emma S

My vehicle is pretty small but overall and amazing car.

I have never had a problem with my car. It's very reliable, a little scary in the winter because it is a small car. Other than snow it is an amazing car. I highly recommend it.

- Alexis K

It is a 2 door, very small.

Good on gas but I have had many problems with brakes and tires. For all the work I have put in the car I should’ve paid less up front. And the stereo system is pretty crappy.

- Juan C

Low maintenance, low fuel Usage.

My car is dependable, reliable and consistent. It is easy on gas and oil, requiring very low maintenance. It has a lasting paint job with easy to care for interior upholstery.

- Adam T

I feel the car is extremely reliable and should last me for years.

Bought the car used in 2007. The middle is EX and I love that it has a sunroof. The car should last another 10 years cuz I just had a rebuilt engine put in it. No complaints.

- Brian A

It handles great, and has lots of window space - so very little "blind spots."

My car is an older model, and I have had very little repair. I am original owner, and have taken good care of it. I'm comfortable driving it, and have taken it on road trips

- Toni G

That it is a stick shift and it is a very easily customizable car. It's an added benefit that honda civics from the early 2000's have.

It is a pretty old model and it so happens to be stick shift. The vehicle runs fine for it's age but like all cars after ten years it has some of Its problems but runs fine

- Walter R

The car has great gas mileage and is very reliable.

I like the gas mileage, the size, the color, and the reliability. I like that it is relatively cheap to replace parts. I dislike that when the car gets old, repairs add up.

- Anna N

The gas mileage is great!

The gas mileage on the Honda Civic is fabulous. It is a nice size or a sedan. My only complaint is that it is a common car on the road and it doesn't have a lot of power.

- carly M

It is very quiet when it is stopped.

The Honda civic is great with mileage. Having the battery charge when you are at stops makes it quiet and increased mileage. It is an easy to drive car with plenty of room.

- Arlene R

My car has a electric battery so it runs halfway on electricity. It charges the battery when I brake or go downhill.

I have a Civic Hybrid and it has been awesome. I get about 40 mpg with hardly any maintenance. The only problem it has it is isn't fast or powerful, but it is a great car.

- Erica B

An Awesome First Time Vehicle

It rides comfortably and it is great on gas. It makes a great family passenger vehicle. It does a small engine which isn't a deal breaker if you are a reasonable driver.

- Carlos R

- jackie B

Reliable and it is not a throaty car, good mileage.

Reliable, simple enough maintenance, after 120k plus likes problems start to occur, transmission, clutch, even the a/c, very good mileage, very good to learn manual in.

- Omar B

It is reliable, safe, and easy to maintain. You can always rely on a Honda Civic!

The Honda Civic is a great and reliable car. We've had some issues with it, but these are mainly due to wear and tear. It has always gotten my family and I from A to B.

- Dakota H

Extremely reliable, will take you where you want to go.

I have had this car in my family for over a decade, first my sister had it then I did and in that time I've only seen it break down maybe 3 times. Very reliable car

5 speed Honda with amazing gas mileage.

Almost 200k miles, manual transmission and all I've had to replace is the motor mount and radiator. Vehicle runs great long distances and gets amazing gas mileage.

- Sarah H

My vehicle is very reliable and comfortable, as I find with most Honda vehicles. I have experienced hardly any problems so far besides an ac component blowing out.

- Toni B

Its pretty reliable for a car that is 15 yrs old and good on gas.

Likes: the size, gas mileage. Dislikes are the front windows don't seem to have a full view. Air conditioner/heating system have always taken too long to come on.

It is exactly what it is a car. It gets great mileage.

It is not flashy, but it gets the job done. Great on gas and has not killed me on maintenance. Wish it had a couple more bells and whistles, but maybe next time.

- Jon P

It is a manual transmission (stick shift). And fun

It is realizable and fun to drive. I like everything about it except that it is getting old and is a little outdated (no WiFi, and can't connect my phone to it).

- Kate N

It has a history of transmission issues and it's about $3000 to fix

It gets great gas mileage. The automatic transmission slips when cold and needs repairs. It could have a quieter ride going down the highway, it's loud inside.

- C B

It is a two door Civic. It only has a little over 110,000 miles was driven across the country and still runs great.

All features on the car work. The car comes with a sunroof and two key fob lock buttons for a keychain. Honda are basic, but run well and without much repair.

It's very reliable. As with any vehicle, problems will arise every so often. However, anytime I've ever needed a repair it has never cost me over $600.

- Samantha D

Goes from point a to point b.

I like that the gas mileage is still so high, after 15 years, that it has run consistently and has required few repairs. I do not have any complaints.

- Carolyn J

Great for first time car buyer

It worked well for the first few years I had it. I bought it used. The past few years it's had a lot of trouble with the engine. It's in its last leg.

- Sarah S

Reliable car with nice design.

Very reliable car. Have not had any real repair issues. Mostly it is just needs routine maintenance. The dealership was great for warranty follow up.

- Charlotte K

They should know that it is a low emission vehicle and that is good for the environment

I like that it gets good gas mileage and that it is compact and easy to park. I dislike that the battery acts up because it is an early model hybrid.

- Mary M

It is a small car not recommended for families of 3 or more and is low to the ground

Great on gas gets about 40mpg, not a family car (coupe). So far I have had to get brakes, 4 tires, Cadillac converter, and muffler fixed or replaced

- Juan C
