Honda fit a practical, compact and reliable car.
We are a Honda family because the vehicles are very reliable and hold their value. Our Honda fit is very reliable, great in gas and requires minor maintenance I.E., oil change and tire rotation. We love our fit is small but with great space in the trunk (hatchback). The fit is very easy to park as it is a compact car. The only issue I have is the air conditioning needs to defrost when it has been running for awhile in hot environments like Florida in summer times.

Small, Sturdy, and Fit, this car is a winner.
It's very fuel efficient and tells you exactly what MPG you're getting at that moment, it turns nicely and speeds up acceptably. It does feel somewhat low to the ground and rocks in wind but overall is quite comfortable. I've had it for years and it's never broken down, so is very reliable.
accountCircle don P
It handles well in traffic although doesn't accelerate so quickly when entering the freeway.
My Fit is an SUV in which I can load an incredible amount. I get around 30 mpg in town, can easily seat four passengers, and handles easily. Is there anything I don't like? Maybe it feels a little light in a crash which I hope I won't have.

Affordable Basic Car For a First Time Buyer
The 2013 Honda Fit is a great car, especially for first time buyers. The body allows for the back seats to completely fold down, allowing you to use the whole back end for moving large items. It comes with the basics for radio, CD player, and aux & USB ports. It is a basic car but it runs very well, gets great gas mileage, and I feel like I never have to worry about something going wrong. The engine uses full-synthetic oil which lasts a lot longer. The car is light, which leads to the only problem that I have. When driving in rural areas, high wind can make your car a little harder to steer. It almost feels as if the wind is trying to pick up your car! Other than that I love it because I feel like I have everything I need and nothing more. It could almost be like the minimalist's perfect car.

AFFORDABLE BUT STYLISH, PERFECT FOR ANYONE
GOOD GAS MILEAGE. COMPACT BUT HAS LOTS OF ROOM, BOTH FOR PASSENGERS AND STORAGE. HAS 10 CUP HOLDERS BUT TWO ARE BLOCKING VENTS, SO NOT THE BEST DESIGN.
accountCircle Paul J
Newest recent Honda convert praises fit.
Smooth quiet ride, very good acceleration, surprisingly good gas mileage, exceptional storage. Very easy rear door loading, even longboards and oversized packages and boxes have presented no problems, very short stopping distance. All in all I can very comfortably state that I have been very pleased with the appearance and performance of my fit and will certainly consider purchasing a Honda when the time comes to replace my current auto.
accountCircle Kristin M
It is fuel efficient and dependable.
Really like the short wheel base, the good gas mileage, and the dependability. I would buy it again.
accountCircle Kyle J
It can fit a lot despite appearances.
I love that it is low fuel, it is compact. The only thing I dislike is the wind can whip it around something fierce.

Negative Owner Reviews

accountCircle Hillary W
The hatchback and fold down second row gives much needed room.
It is more basic than the low end Nissans, the radio control and non tinted windows is very frustrating. The buying process was also misleading. I was told my interest rate would be in between 4% to 9% and it is at 17%. I was also told that after a year I could refinance for a lower interest rate with capital one and that is not possible.
accountCircle Aaron M
Practical, for the right person.
It is small, but practical. It has a lot more cargo room than you'd think of just from looking at it. It is a little underpowered, and the 2013 tech was a little behind for its time, but all in all it is a solid car. More ideal for single people/married w/ no kids. Having a daughter has made me start shopping around a bit more for something larger/safer with more room.

My Honda fit my lifestyle.
This car has been very reliable as my first vehicle. I got it used in 2014 and it has held up even with excessive mileage and wear and tear back from when I first got it as a young adult. I am very proud to own this vehicle and it has kept me safe. I would recommend it.
accountCircle Christy S
It has amazing gas mileage, but has a lot of wear and tear on the brakes.
I love that my Honda fit is like a mini minivan - the back seats can fold down to have a large holding space in the back. I do not like that there's no Bluetooth capabilities and I do miss a trunk that can close and be hidden.
accountCircle Kathy M
I had it modified at the time of purchase to all leather interior.
Driving I find it a bit zippy, passengers say it feels like a skateboard and that it does not move very fast.
accountCircle karen j
Reliable, but boring car. Does not accelerate fast; scary to get on the highway. I wish it had a back up camera. The air conditioner is not cold enough. The replacement parts, including tires, are stupid expensive.
It is a Honda, so it is reliable. It gets horrible gas mileage for such a small car,
accountCircle Cortny K
A small but reliable car that is perfect for a single person.
It's reliable and works for me. I've had no real problems with it over the years. The main issue I now have is that it's getting too small for my family's current needs.
accountCircle Amanda T
Cute small car with good gas mileage.
It is somewhat small but it is comfortable enough for myself and another passenger. It has really good gas mileage and I like the color. It is a cute car just smaller than I would like. I would eventually like to get a larger vehicle that could be more comfortable and fit more people.

It's small which is convenient!
The car does not get up to speed quick enough which I find dangerous in terms of switching lanes on freeways or voiding anything else on the road. It also does not have the amenities that many newer cars come with, for example seat warmers and touch screens.

My car is my favorite color.
Gas mileage is great. Small size makes it easy to find parking spaces. Comfortable and compact. No gas tank lock. Cannot pop trunk from inside the car. Love audio hook up with the USB connector. Would have been nice to have navigation included. I love the color of the car. It was the deal breaker.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Karen T.

Pros: It saves on gas. Good for parking. Love the color. Can utilize back seats to fit big items like a bike. Love the USB outlet to play music. Cons: No gas tank cover release button. Cannot lock gas tank cover.

likeFilled Jill G.

It is small, reliable, rarely needs repairing, and it gets good gas mileage. It is a hatchback so even though it's small we can fit lots in the back, especially if we fold down the seats. It fits 4 fairly comfortably, and we use it for long trips because it gets such good mileage.

likeFilled Breanna S.

I enjoy driving this car for a few reasons. It has good gas mileage, it is cute and sporty, it actually has a lot of space inside, and there's an armrest for the driver. I like that it is easy to drive and that it is compact.

likeFilled James D.

Excellent reliability. Very good range. The amount of room provided in the vehicle is very generous. It is an excellent choice for tall people ( I am 6'5 And fit very easily inside ). Also great for those on the go with children with its ample space.

likeFilled Jason S.

Its extremely energy efficient and reliable. It still qualifies me for a pge rebate for electricity use. Very inexpensive to operate, reasonably roomy and powerful. Small but sturdy vehicle. Easy to operate.

likeFilled Kip R.

One of the pros is the fuel economy. I only have to fill up my gas tank once a week, and it is affordable. I also feel that like most Hondas, maintenance is rare and the car is very reliable. I really enjoy this car!

likeFilled Teresa B.

This vehicle is not electric. There were no other options listed so I had to select that it was electric. This vehicle takes gas only. Honda's are great at handling. They are very versatile and great on mileage. Honda are built to last.

likeFilled Sarah K.

The pros of my vehicle are it has plenty of space, it fits in smaller spaces, the back seats lay down, a lot of trunk space, very good gas mileage and plenty of windows. There is also plenty of storage space as well.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Karen T.

I do not like the fact that you cannot lock the gas tank cover. I had to buy a lockable gas tank top. I do not like that there is no trunk release lever from inside the car. You have to get out of the car to open the trunk.

dislikeFilled Jill G.

It is quite small, so when my kids are older and larger it might not be as comfortable. It is a standard, which is good for me but might negatively affect its resale value. The tires are small and it seems like they are prone to flats.

dislikeFilled Breanna S.

The cons are that the seats are made of a fabric that catches and holds onto everything. I wish it was more updated now with a new radio system and I wish it had Bluetooth or a way to hook up to my phone other than just using a cord.

dislikeFilled James D.

Really not a lot I can say negatively. The tires that Honda selected are a bit difficult to find so I had to up it a few sizes for availability/ price reasons. Only real problem is ventilation. If it is a particularly chilly day it may frost on the inside.

dislikeFilled Jason S.

Only that it might not survive a crash with a larger vehicle like a truck. Overall very few complaints. Safety might not have been the number one concern of Honda when making this vehicle, but it holds up nonetheless.

dislikeFilled Kip R.

The only con is sometimes a pro, which is the size of the car. If there's no one in the backseat, then the space is fine. But the backseat is too small if there are one or two passengers riding in the back.

dislikeFilled Teresa B.

The size of the vehicle is the only drawback to me. I have 3 sons that are big send they barely fit in this vehicle together. There is not enough legroom for larger people to ride comfortably for very long.

dislikeFilled Sarah K.

The cons of my vehicle are it gets way hotter during the summer months, it is lower to the ground, there is no outside temperature gauge, there is no center console and it only has one middle dome light.

The 2013 Honda fit base electric is a very reliable car. I have never had issues with the car and it drives very well. I love my car.
Catherine B.
I have not had any problems other than with the tire pressure which could be fixed if I got new tires and a new tire pressure monitor system. It was messed up by a bad mechanic.
Julia B.
No problems, reliable , comfy , & gets around easy since it is smaller. It is all I need. I am not attempting to impress someone with a big clunky buggy .
Kathy E.
It is super reliable. I have done oil and brake changes but nothing major. I haven't had any problems with this car in the past 6 years that I've had it.
Leslie G.
Yes it is and no I have had no problems with it since I bought it new in 2013. It starts every single time and runs great, lets me know when tire pressure is low or the oil needs changed.
Brittany A.
Yes it is reliable. Good handling, and cruise control. I don’t like it’s wobbliness on the freeways, it makes me feel insecure when driving with larger cars/trucks.
Nicole T.

Is The 2013 Honda Fit A Good Value?

It was a good value, yes, but I would not buy another car new unless it was significantly worth the value. It was worth thousands of dollars.
Megan R.
It costs a couple thousand dollars for the car, but it is very affordable through financing. It is a good deal at the end of the days.
Catherine B.
I paid 10k for it. I would say it was a good value. To me that is a lot of money but I can see driving this car for the next seven or eight years. I bought it used with 42k miles.
Julia B.
I purchased it a bit over 2 yrs ago for $ 6,900. I am 70 & have never had a car payment. I have had a Bunch of buggies & some beaters & this is just fine .
Hector P.
When I purchased it, it’s coat value was at about 15,000. I'm sure 2013 models now have gone down in value.
Daniel B.
Absolutely! I don't know now but mine cost around 13,000 new and it's an excellent, reliable value. I would buy it all over again or any other Honda
Kayla L.
I feel it’s a decent price with a good down payment. I would recommend as a starter car for students.
