The great gas mileage. Gets better mileage than ANY other car on the road.
It is fantastic for gas mileage. It is a pleasure to drive. I wish I could get another of this car.

The Honda Insight has unique looks and high miles per gallon as a hybrid.
I like that it is a hybrid. I like that it is compact so I can fit into spaces for parallel parking. I like that it is visually unique in styling. I have no complaints.

It is reliable. Other than routine maintenance the car is not fussy.
The gas mileage is incredible. It is a very reliable automobile and lives up to the Honda dependability. My only complaint is that I wish Honda never stopped making them!

Mileage
I bought it from Pick n Pull junkyard with 167k on it for $900 and drove it away and have put on a bit under 10k in 5 mo. And have had no problems aside from a dead 12v battery. The best mileage ive achieved thus far is 64.5 mpg.it appears to have been an original owner car and was garaged all its life with no accidents and no repaints. Id say i was one lucky sob to hsve gotten it at that price and condition. I in fact have fallen in love with it due to its fine quality of its build. They sold only 17k of these cars in the 6 yrs gen 1's ran and were assembled at the same plant as two other of their highend cars were. The NSX and the S2000 nd this begs the question as to whether they used the same 6/7 man team approach in that the same team assembles the cars by hand thus more attention to detail and thus reliability. They were not cheap when new at almost $25k in 2000. With only 67hp and an additional 13 hp on tap via the nickel metal hydrid batt. Pack one might assume they were slow however though no Corvette off the line they have no problem keepin up with traffic and ive taken mine up to 100 miles per hour with no problem at all and itll cruise there as long as u wish. Ive had other owners tell me how theyve had one and kept them until 300 to over 400k on the original motors and still runnin. Their only glareing weak spot is their 5 speed transmission which was having some problems when i got it but i still drive it 100 miles everyday and havent replaced it with the one i bought at the same wrecking yard in anticipation for $150. The only concern i have in the future is the lack of avalible parts which of course Honda has discontinued and with only 17k ever made ive begun stockpileing high mortality parts for the future as ill drive it past gas stations till either its wheels fall of or mine do. Thanks, Rich Hill/ San Josek
