Honda Odyssey. Powerful for a minivan, reliable, fits 8 comfortably.

My Honda Odyssey is powerful for a minivan. I live in a hilly area. It does great going up the hills. I love the way you can make super sharp turns, I cannot do that with our truck. I also like how roomy it is. It fits 8 comfortably. Some SUVs I been in are super tight but not this van. I like that it has a “secret” compartment on the floor by the passengers feet, it provides extra storage. It also has another little secret compartment at the bottom of the front passenger’s seat. The trunk is deep and roomy. I like how the seats can be removed for extra space. I like the double electric doors. You cannot go wrong with a Honda, super reliable. Haven't had any engine problems with it yet. The only big problem that we’ve had is with the electric sliding doors. They seemed to stop working, but the car is 13 years old, so it is expected. But the doors can still be open manually.

Family Favorite: The tale of a car that has faithfully served for over a decade.

While lacking some of the modern safety features, my 2005 Honda Odyssey is a tried-and-true machine that had faithfully served my family for many years. We've always been careful to keep it well maintained, and so have never had cause to complain or worry about the performance or reliability of the vehicle in the 10+ years that we've had it. The leather seats are starting fall apart, and sometimes we've had trouble maintaining the air conditioning, but these are only result of long years of gradual wear and tear. The eight seats in this vehicle have always been a boon to my large family. All-in-all, a wonderful car, and highly recommended by everyone in my family.

It's super mom and kid friendly! So great for families!

I absolutely LOVE my Honda Odyssey. It was like the people at Honda sat down with a panel of moms and was like "okay, what do you have issues with in your current car?" and then they fixed ALL OF THEM! For instance, the sliding door are amazing because I don't have to worry about my kids hitting someone else's car when they open the door AND I can open the car door from the house and have them run inside while I'm locking up. The sun shade is nice to keep the sun off of a sleeping child's face; the rear A/C can be controlled by the driver/passenger up front OR the kids in the back. I could go on and on. It's amazing!

Honda Odyssey: an all-around great car.

I have been driving a Honda Odyssey for approx. 7 years. I have found it to be extremely reliable and rides smoothly. The seats are comfortable, even if driving a long way. The passenger seats are roomy enough for all passengers. The previous Odyssey that I drove was equipped with a DVD player which was great for the kiddos. The Odyssey that I drive now is equipped with a sunroof, which I love. The Odyssey is a good vehicle for transporting little ones still in car seats. I have a daycare and am able to fit three car seats across in both the middle seat and the back seat which has been extremely important.

With normal maintenance, this van will last!

My Honda 2005 odyssey ex has been a joy to own. I bought it new and just hit 150k miles. Past issues: one year ago, at 12 years old, I had to replace the ac system. At 7 years old I had to replace the power steering pump. In 2013 and again earlier this week, I had to replace two separate wheel bearings. Besides these over past three years I had to replace a mass air flow sensor, and a motor mount. Gas mileage has been 19 mpg in mixed driving. No electrical or drive train issues. My mechanic told me that if I continue to keep up with normal recommended maintenance, I can get 20 years out of this vehicle.

Comfortable seating, annoying door system.

I like the Odyssey. Pros; it has easy to move back seats, you can lay the back seat completely down. The middle passenger seats are adjustable, and you can set the up two different ways, so you can either enter the back seats from the side or the middle of the car. Cons; While its a good child safety feature, the motorized side doors are somewhat of a pain if you're in a hurry. They go one speed, you can't open them unless the car is in park, and it makes an annoying beeping sound if you do it wrong. So, it's a great car if you have kids! But, if not, this feature can be a pain.

Love Our Honda Odyssey Minivan

My husband and I have really enjoyed our Honda Odyssey minivan. It has been a very reliable vehicle, as well as super useful to haul things. We love the option of the back seats folding into the floor and the ability, if needed, to also remove the second row of seats. When we did this I was able to move my daughter to Washington DC more easily than if I would have had a truck. We are going to be getting a new vehicle in the future, and though we no longer have children like we did when we originally purchased this one, we are considering another Honda Odyssey.

- Deb J

2005 Honda Odyssey is a very dependable vehicle.

The Honda Odyssey is really reliable. It is spacious and very comfortable. You can adjust your heating on the front passenger side and the seats are heated. The seats in the middle and back are also comfortable and there is much leg room. The only thing I did not really like was the fact that it just came with a “donut” for a spare tire. The air conditioner and heater still works good. But, the automatic door started acting up about two years ago. The gas mileage is also very good. I have used this car since December of 2004 and still loves it very much!

The Honda odyssey is a long-standing front-runner of family features.

I have really enjoyed my Honda odyssey. Even though it is an old model, it keeps up with the features I enjoy. My favorites are two remote controlled sliding doors and the easy fold away seats. We use these features the most. We also specifically chose this car for the full 8 seats. The center row of seats are easy to move for access to the back row. . When we take the car into the Honda dealership for repairs, the diagnostics are quick and clear. . At nearly 15 years old we are still pleased with our Honda odyssey performance.

- Tanya H

My Honda Odyssey has been remarkably reliable; although it's a 2005, we've only had to do one major repair, and that was a result of rust from driving it on winter roads in the Northeast. I love the space, and the extra features like leather interior and heated seats make it *almost* fun to own a minivan. We test drove a Toyota Sienna at the time we bought the Odyssey, and prefered the more solid feeling of the Odyssey on the road. This is the perfect vehicle for families with young children or people who need a lot of room.

- Addy A

We use it everyday; its reliable, safe and so spacious for our family.

I love my Honda Odyssey! It is pretty reliable, the only issues I've had with it were ac sometimes and a bad battery. Other than that I love the space, beautiful leather seats, great trunk space, good layout with nice foldable seats. It's an amazing car for a family and for people who love to have space and be able to load big loads in their cars. I highly recommend this car, it's pretty good on gas & easy to drive for a high up van. Not to mention very safe for those with families. 5 stars all the way!!

Good features some problems

I love the features on this van. You push buttons and doors open lol. Tons of trunk space and seating for 7. Seated seats, Navi and tv/dvd. However this car comes with lots of issues over time. My air has gone out 4 times in 3 years. My sliding door malfunctions an will no longer work and even though there is a manual option so you SHOULD be able to open the door it is not easy and you must have good strength to get it open. It was fixed and now broken again. Certain things just seem to fail repeatedly.

- Jennifer R

The drop trunk was a life saver

My Odyssey Van is a very comfortable ride. When I am ready for my next car it will be on the Odyssey Van . We'd have had minimal repairs other than everyday wear and tear. As funny as it sounds the amount of cup holders in this vehicle is amazing. We see there is no wasted space in this car. A stroller fits perfectly in the dropped trunk and the little secret compartments are very helpful. There is a circular one in the 2nd row and pull out drawer underneath the passenger seat

Safe and reliable for a growing family.

The 2005 Honda odyssey is a great vehicle for any growing family. It is roomy, safe, and very reliable. It is older, so it does not have all the bells and whistles, but it serves the purpose of getting from a to b. The only main problem I have had with it, is the automatic sliding doors give me trouble when the temperatures drop below 20 degrees. Also, the rear window wipers have stopped working. Other than those couple of things, it is been a great vehicle that I plan to keep.

- Stephanie C

Found out the key does multiple items when unlocking through the door.

It's a very reliable vehicle. The third row seating comes in handy. I love that it has a built in DVD player so I can keep my children entertained. It's very comfortable and spacious. Going on long road trips are a breeze. It does have problem with the automatic doors. Sometimes they get stuck and/or do not close right. It's pretty decent on gas which is great because it is pure main vehicle. Overall I love this car! Even with the door problems it's still a great vehicle.

Honda Odyssey Touring 2005 Leather seats, automatic doors, GPS, CD/DVD player, parking senses, etc

I have a Honda Odyssey Touring 2005. We love it because it's interior is leather, it is very spacious for my family of 5. Runs very smooth, we have driven it in highways and speedways, even though it is a 2005 model it has a very practical features. Like: CD/DVD player, GPS system. Reverse camera, radio, parking sensors, automatic doors, pilot driver, programas seats for 2 drivers, breaks accommodate to put needs, leather seats, sunroof, etc. We absolutely love it.

- Giselle G

Honda Odyssey is the best minivan I've owned!

The Honda Odyssey is one of the best minivans I've ever had! It has been reliable, with very few breakdowns over the years. We have it serviced regularly, so it is in pristine condition. It's an older model, but it still works beautifully. The only problem I've had as it's gotten older is the automatic doors. They don't always register as being shut, so you have to hit the button once more to make the buzzer shut off. Other than that, it's really a great vehicle!

- Olivia S

My Honda odyssey is the best vehicle I have ever had!

I absolutely love my Honda odyssey! I can honestly say that it is a pleasure to drive. Comfortable seats, spacious legroom, seats 7 comfortably, and has a nice roomy trunk space as well! One of my favorite features is the side doors. They slide back to open. Perfect for kids getting in and out! I love the controls and all of the levers and buttons. I live the DVD player for the kids on long car rides. All in all, it is the best vehicle that I have ever owned!

- Valerie H

The Honda Odyssey is a great car. I can to buy it again.

The van is really comfortable, I love the space in it. The whole family will drive in there and will fit just fine. The heated seats will always keep us warm during winter, while the air conditioning functionality is perfect. I love the sunroof which we use occasionally but very helpful when the kids wants the outside fresh air. I wish they have an auxiliary cable on the music side, but yet with a 6 CD changer, I am able to listen to all the music I need.

- Felis M

Great for families and extended-families.

I really like this care because, with a family of 4, it makes it easy to haul everyone. When kids were smaller, I liked that I could actually be INSIDE the car while I buckle their carseats and when we were waiting for something they can roam around in the car. It is also convenient to drive other people besides my own family. One thing I don't like are the run-flat tires. They are more expensive to replace and cannot use ordinary chains.

- Karen W

The spacious and versatile mom-van!

The Honda Odyssey is a very spacious vehicle. It is extreme versatility allows for adjusting for the owners needs. It boasts double sliding doors in the back so that loading up kids or anything else you might be transporting that much easier. Storage in the floor is a nice touch allowing children to stow toys or snacks, extra water or for adults to conceal valuables out of sight. It is a good choice for large and small families alike.

- Laura S

This car is great for a family when it runs properly.

It has good get up and go. It fits our family with room to spare for groceries. It has heated seats and warms up quickly in the winter. It's problematic in the summer as it AC doesn't cool unless the car is in motion. It has had issues with ignition coils needing to be replaced often which leaves us short a car. The stereo system isn't working like it should; only the radio works and not the DVD or CD player or the auxiliary inputs

- Adam H

It is extremely well designed, inside and out, and is one of the best brands of vehicle there is.

I like that I drive a Honda, which is well known for being a brand of vehicle that is long lasting. Honda has always been innovative in their designs and they never disappoint. The only dislike or complaint that I could possibly have is the higher cost of Hondas compared to many other vehicle brands. They have always had a higher price, however, they are also known for lasting a long time and for being good vehicles.

- Karen N

The sunroof is nice, the van has cruise control for long trips .

The Honda odyssey is extremely comfortable for long rides or vacation. It has DVD player in back for kids to watch, power windows and doors, plenty of room to put items in back and lay back seats down or whatever u need. It drives very well. The problems I've had is the power windows and power steering. It gets hard to turn the steering wheel unless we keep fluid in the vehicle , it's good on gas mileage

- CHeryl G

My Honda Odyssey has been extremely dependable and has only required routine maintenance

Love my Odyssey! It has almost 200,000 miles and has only needed routine maintenance. Great ride, dependable, love the space inside. My only dislike is I wish Honda offered the Odyssey with a rubber floor option rather than just carpet. When my kids were younger I would have loved the easy of cleaning spills from a rubber floor and now I show dogs so a rubber floor would be much easier with dog hair.

- Debbie G

Honda Odyssey is a great buy!

I love the Honda odyssey. It has a DVD player in the back for my kids which is awesome. It had a lot of horsepower which my husband is a huge fan of. The doors open and close with a button or pulling on the handles. Three rows of seating with four captain chairs and a bench in the back. You can customize the seating of the two back passenger captain chairs. Heated seats is a plus for the winter.

- Sherry B

Comfy for the entire family

Door doesn't always close nicely when shutting it. Sometimes a bell inside goes off and you have to turn off the door closing automatically button. Besides that this van is spot on. It is comfortable safe and reliable. The kids enjoy the movie player and heated seats and leather seats. The hubs and I enjoy the radio and heated leather seats. There is so much room and very comfortable.

- Holly Z

Old vehicle, still chugging

We have a pre-owned Honda Odyssey with leather seats. The leather has cracked in places, but nothing terrible. We love the performance of this van, even at 250,000 miles. We have had a problem with the passenger side sliding door that we haven't been able to fix ourselves and we've been told by our regular shop that we'll need to take it to the dealership in order to get it fixed.

- Abigail W

Extremely reliable even in its old age.

Problems: at 12 years old, needed air conditioning replaced. At 10 years old needed power steering pump replaced, mass air flow sensor replaced, and one front wheel bearing replaced. At 13 years old, need the other front wheel bearing replaced as well as two new motor mounts. Features: powered side doors. Average mpg: 19. Has 150k miles, and I plan on getting 20 years out of it.

- Steve G

Disappointing power steering pump but comfortable ride.

This vehicle is roomy and reliable. My main concern is the unitized, cranky sounding power steering pump. The leather interior is holding well. We like the 2 places where items can be stashed and locked. It is the most comfortable minivan we tested and has a tow capacity enough for hauling household appliances and home improvement materials. I would buy another Honda Odyssey.

- Emily B

Love our odyssey's longevity

This vehicle has held up extremely well over the test of time. It's now 14 years later since this was a brand new vehicle, and we only have to replace the left sliding door action. With regular maintenance it has lasted extremely well, and we currently have a slight oil leak but it is nothing major and the rest of the vehicle is completely sound overall we love it!

- Rachel M

Best vehicle I have ever owned!

I love my Odyssey! It has plenty of room for comfort, up to 8 people. It's performance has been outstanding! I couldn't ask for a better car. We have had no problems with it, just maintenance for normal wear and tear. It's the best car I have ever had, and so far it's lasted 13 years. Love the leather seats that are heated! 319,000 miles and going strong!

- Heidi M

Cannot go wrong with a Honda.

Nice and roomy interior with comfortable seats that fit American posteriors nicely, accommodating for tall people, good entertainment with steering column controllable radio/cd player, has individual zone control for heat/ac. Most issues have to do with the age of the vehicle, and have been mainly minor. This is my first Honda, and my next car will be Honda too.

- Patricia B

It is great for families with small children.

The only problem is the lack of top leathers for car seats in the van. There are only three total and the only one in the third row goes across the cargo hold. I do love the storage space and cup holders in the van. Newer models are even better. There is an option to add a jump seat to the second row. We have had very little mechanical problems with it.

- Celia T

Over 13 Years Old and Still Going Strong.

Bought my Honda Odyssey Touring Edition brand new in 2005 with all the bells and whistles for its day. It has been, for the most part, problem free except for regular maintenance and tires. It is great to drive, comfortable and I love it's handling. The van is over 13 years old and the engine, air conditioning and interior are still in great shape.

- Lori K

The seats can lean backward or forward, for comfort. The back ones can even go following flat with the car for extra storage space for whatever trip you may need it for. Such as items being transported to storage, homes, etc.

It runs pretty well, it has great space for a large family of 6-7. Seats are soft and comfortable. Driving is smooth and easy. My current vehicle was pre-owned, and now has occasional brake issues and engine problems. But none of them are typically major. I would recommend this car for someone looking for a van that can hold a decent sized family.

- Vincent M

198,000 miles and running strong.

Comfortable, basic upkeep. Has 198,000 miles and still going strong. No big expensive repairs. Hate no flat tires. They are way overpriced and don't last long. Front seats are comfortable, back seats also, automatic doors have worked great for 13 years. Neck rest not the best, air filter for cabin is just ok. Air conditioning went out at year 10.

- Robin P

This van is old reliable. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking; it is strong.

My vehicle was bought used however, it is reliable. It recently had several recalls for airbags and brakes. Not sure, if I would buy this make and model of vehicle again. There is a lot of room since it is a van and my husband uses it for work related purposes. This van is ideal for commercial use since is it spacious and the seats are removable.

- Cristina L

Honda odyssey has hiccups.

The automatic sliding doors don't work so they are now very heavy and hard to open. The track for the drivers side sliding door is rusted and breaking. The auto driving assistant frequently stops working. Being an older model, I worry about the safety of the folding down back seats after reports on a teen getting trapped in the same van.

- De L

It's able to fit 8 people and has plenty of cargo space.

As a married mom of 5, our van is spacious enough for us all plus an extra seat for my mother in law, Aunt, or sister to ride. It's fully loaded and has a DVD player to keep our children entertained. It's also a Honda. We know it's going to be well worth the investment; they're made to endure. I really can't find any faults with my van.

- Alonna M

Nothing bad to say about this car overall satisfied.

My vehicle runs very well. Have had it for 3 years now and haven't had any major issues with it except for normal wear and tear. Pretty easy on gas. Very easy getting kids in and out of. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this car at all. As of right now it does have a lot of miles on it but still continues to impress me.

- Heather M

Honda odyssey: the most reliable minivan.

The minivan is very reliable. There has not been any serious car issues engine wise. However, the sliding doors have been trouble. For some reason, the doors refuse to open sometimes. Other times, they do work and they open regularly. There is a nice feature on the dashboard that allows you to see the outside temperature.

- Mary V

Honda odyssey -- fairly reliable, good family car.

My car is getting old now and starting to have issues. Sliding doors do not work right (one is not functioning any longer), electrical bugs, and a power steering issue that no one can diagnose. Honda odysseys do seem very reliable overall but there is a limit to everything. Would buy a new one perhaps if I could afford.

- Amy M

The perfect vehicle for parents.

I absolutely love my Honda odyssey. Being a mother to two young children I have more than enough space to fit everything from pack n play to the stroller. I also love the video set up to entertain the children so I can focus on the road. The best feature is how safe I feel driving on our busy roads with my little ones.

- Renee R

Honda Odyssey is great for families

The best thought out vehicle that I have ever owned ergonomically. Comfortable for long rides with a large fuel tank to minimize needing to stop on long trips. The leather upholstery has been invaluable as we have three young children that are very messy. Loads of storage and it can be configured for very large cargo.

- John W

Honda odyssey: perfect fun driving for families.

Love it. Great room for my family. Comfortable. Lots of cup holders. Good speed and maneuverability. Looks good. Reliable. Control. Safety. I have had 3 odysseys and I love them all. This is so comfortable. It has all of the features I look for in a vehicle. Cannot say enough good things about my Honda odyssey.

- Mike B

The vehicle that grows with your family

Our Odyssey is perfect for a family of 5. It has high mileage because we have traveled so much but it shows no signs of slowing down. . It has leather seats and capability to watch movies. It has been perfect as our children have grown. It has grown with us. As long as you do proper maintenance it is reliable!

- Sheila W

The space in it is perfect for a large family!

It is a really nice vehicle. It performs well and can handle much heavy duty. The interior is quite spacious and have soft seats, making it comfortable. The only problem is that the radio in my families car does not work well, but it can be that it is only that car that is affected. Otherwise, a very good car.

- Angela M

that it is reliable and gets you where you want to go and back.

it is a honda odyssey minivan. The things that I like about it are that it has plenty of room, has a back-up camera, and is an overall reliable vehicle. The things that I dislike about it are the high cost of fixing things that go wrong. Honda parts are outrageously priced and I will never own another one.

- james m

Family truckster, the riddler edition.

The power sliding doors quit working, and will not hold alignment, and it gets bad gas mileage. That's the cons the rest we like the room, it runs good, it does need some body work because it's got high mileage but it's great for our family with the room and the power and reliability to take it on long trips.

- Skeet R

Pretty good 2005 Honda Odyssey

I love how much storage space there is in the trunk. You can put the 3rd row seats down for more space. I like the leather interior. I do not like that there is no Bluetooth or aux cord. The windows in my van do not work. There is plenty of legroom! Installing a car seat in this van can be pretty difficult.

- Ashley C

Room space in this car is great! I fit 3 car seats and still have good leg space and room for other risers comfortably.

I love my Honda odyssey! It is such a great car for a family. It has so much room! The trunk space ia perfect you can fit 2 stroller is there. It runs great! It has no issues very easy to maintain in good condition. It comes with a tv for kids which i love!! Best choice i have made when it came to my cars!

- Jessica C

Loving My Honda and you would too

I love my Honda. There is plenty of room and the seats are so comfortable. I am just now starting to have problems with it because there is 294,002 miles on it but every time I get in it cranks up and goes. The only thing that isn't working is the AC and living in the south it is too hot to not have a AC.

- Patricia F

It has hidden compartments

This vehicle has been our life saver. Having 4 kids and a husband which makes 6 people gives us the room to be comfortable. Parts are decently priced to get fix and hopefully its a while before something breaks. It's a great car! Even the year the we have as a 2005 has been so accommodating to our family.

- Dahlia L

Summary of our 2005 Honda Odyssey

Our Honda is amazing! The side doors slide automatically, it has a built in DVD player, a third row, and it drives so smooth. It is well built and reliable! We absolutely love it with our 3 kids. When we have others ride, getting to the 3rd seat is supper easy! It's a pull of a lever and we're there.

- Vanessa R

Kid friendly and very convenient for a family.

The Honda Odyssey a great family vehicle with lots of space and has great air conditioning. It can easily fit two car seats in front and two car seats in back. The back three seat and can fold down flat and create a huge area of space. My kids love to sit in the back and eat snack or just hang out.

- Ashley T

2005 Honda Odyssey review

This car doesn't have many bells and whistles but it's a great, reliable car that get us safely where we need to go. Only issue is with the air conditioning which does run out of coolant every now and then. Still, it is a great car that has done a great job getting my family from place to place

- Erin M

Old but still has life in it and many more memories to create.

Old but still a good car with 250 thousand miles. Has major issues with transmission and VPS. Still love my van due to I have handicap children and it is large enough to carry wheelchairs. I enjoy the TV and DVD player to keep the kids entertained. The seats are leather and easily to clean.

- Kristina D

Everything has good and bad, only one bad from my prospective.

The electronic doors break easily, but everything else is awesome. It has a DVD player that helps with kids on long drives, 6 disc CD player, and a lot of cup holders. LoL. There is even a hideaway spot under the floor for emergencies. Controls of stations and volume on the steering wheel.

- Felicia J

It is the best quality minivan on the market.

Absolutely the best minivan on the market. I have gotten excellent fuel mileage since new. For a so called "minivan it has a huge amount of capacity. I have had nothing but expected wear and tear/usage maintenance. The interior is so much better than most "cheap" interiors of competitors.

- Marlon M

The one thing I like to let people know about out car is that it's super spacious

The car is pretty good for the most part, the one complaint I have is that it has started to leak oil in the last few months. It's pretty comfortable and we have a DVD player for the kiddos which is super helpful for long trips and the doors open automatically with the use of the key fob.

- Paula S

It is very reliable. It is 13 yrs old and we have no major problems with it.

We love our 2005 Honda Odyssey Minivan. We have tons of room for the kids, which is very important because we travel a lot. We bought it used but it is very reliable. The only problem we have is the automatic sliding doors don't open sometimes. Other than that, we're very happy with it.

- Nancy A

The Honda odyssey: a good minivan.

The car has excellent performance and reliability. It drives quite smoothly and is not so difficult to navigate compared to other minivans. The only problems we've come across was the radio breaking, the auxiliary not working, and one little incident where the battery stopped working.

- Angela M

This vehicle needs a lot of work

The vehicle is old and needs a lot of work the person who had it before us didn't take care of it very well. We plan to save money and get a new one and either trade the van in and get something else or to just slowly fix it up. I personally feel that the vehicle is not worth fixing.

- William P

Good family vehicle, great space

We like the size and flexibility of this vehicle. It has great space for all of our children and the many things they leave in our vehicle. It is great for traveling and moving. I also like to use it for carpooling and shopping. Because of its age, we have had many expensive repairs.

- Monica R

Once you get used to the convenience it offers it is hard to move to a smaller vehicle or SUV

When we first bought it, they were in high demand and we thought it would be a reliable vehicle. We have had lots of issues with it recently, motor mounts, automatic doors, and more failing. The van is still very practical and has a lot of room, but repairs are getting expensive.

- Brad L

Great Family Car and Lots Of Space!

We love our Honda odyssey because the sliding doors provide a quick and easy entrance for getting children in and out. We love all the space the trunk provides and that the back seat can be folded in for accommodate all our things. It also has a TV and DVD player that is excellent!

- Erin W

Honda is great. Would highly recommend to other people.

It is a safe van always reliable. Makes my friends and other people feel safe. Kept us safe from accidents. Happy and satisfied. Rated top and safest model in 2009. Would recommend to other people. Has a lot of miles now. Other people should buy it. Nice for kids. Very spacious.

- Julie J

Reliable yet aesthetically pleasing.

It is very spacious and I haven't had an issues with it breaking down for the last two years I have owned it. Great gas mileage and it drives smoothly considering its an older model. I also quite like the heating system, particularly in winter. The cooling system is also good.

- Rebecca B

I love that it seats all 7 of us comfortably.

The run flat tires are so expensive and you can only get them replaced at Honda. They don't last more than a year. Both my sliding doors and my sunroof have jammed and we don't use the sunroof or the drivers side door anymore. The armrest has ripped over normal wear and tare.

- Laura L

Very user friendly family car!

I love my Odyssey except that lately the sliding doors have not been working properly. But I really like the interior configuration and the way the back seat has options so that you can put down either part or all of it so that you have extra cargo room for when it is needed.

- Mandy M

Honda vehicles are extremely well made and very dependable.

My Honda Odyssey has been the most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. I have driven it for 13 years and besides routine maintenance it has required very few repairs. It has always started in very cold weather and driven well in non ideal conditions. Would purchase again.

- Maureen G

Bright blue Odyssey needs love and attention.

Does not run without a starter, air conditioning does not work unless car is moving and it constantly self locks. There are dents in the front and back of the vehicle and the CD player is broken as well. Back window is scratched and the wiper fluid dispenser no longer works.

- Hannah B

I like my Honda van. I'd buy it again.

I really like my Honda minivan. It has enough luxury to make me comfortable. It is efficient to drive and has given me very little trouble. I like the color, silver and the body style. Overall it is one of the best vehicles I have owned. I think I'd buy the same model again.

- Deb M

Very reliable trustworthy vehicle.

Very reliable trustworthy vehicle. Does not need to be fixed often. Does not use a lot of gas. Is big enough for my family. I can put lots of items in it for travel. We take it skiing and on other road trips. Easy to drive and comfortable to sit in for long periods of time.

- Erin H

It's a touring van with GPS and DVD player.

My Honda is pretty reliable except for the under the hood shield came off. The gas tank was recalled but Honda dealership replaced it at no cost. We have taken it on several road trips and it has over 210,000 miles on it. It has never given any trouble on our long trips.

- Sandra W

Reliable. Easy to drive. Need to get used to parking a large vehicle.

I like my Honda Odyssey van for the comfort in driving. I enjoy being higher up than cars to see the traffic flow. I have had my van for 13 years and have had no major problems. My family enjoys all the cup holders. I can also flip down the seats to carry all our stuff.

- Doreen O

I bought the van new and have been and still is the only owner

I've had no major problems with my vehicle just maintenance. I have replaced tires more than once or twice in the fourteen years I've had it. I've bought a couple batteries, replaced a starter nut other than that it's just regular maintenance. Are you serious right now?

- Mary A

Overall, my vehicle is an amazing family pick!

I personally love this van as it is a family vehicle and can fit all my family members and friends. The sunroof is my favorite part. I enjoy opening it in the summer for a nice summer breeze. My van comes with a TV as well and I am able to play some movies on the road.

- Jennifer R

The best van in the market has got to be the odyssey

The car is very reliable. It's very smooth and really haven't had much problems with the engine at all. The timing belt did go out at about 150,000 miles but it wasn't a pain to get it fixed. The only thing I really didn't like about is where the spare tire is located.

- Sebastian S

Awesome van great if you have messy kids!

I have really enjoyed my car so far. I have had to for almost 3 years. It performs very well seeing how I bought it used. It comes with 7 seats and an awesome TV great for the kiddos. It also has fabulous leather seats. I would really recommend this car to a friend.

- John F

Love it wouldn't trade it for the world.

Really reliable great on gas never broke down very spacious love taking it on trips and vacation going to buy the same vehicle but newer but u dont count well now do u machine I did as much as I can possibly do jeez ok I love the car wouldn't trade it for the world.

- Tracy E

Great vehicle if you have children!

We love our van, we've had some mechanical issues with our passenger back door but it is a 2005 so some wear and tear is to be expected. There is so much room in the back and trunk! It is the perfect vehicle for a family! A car seat fits great in the bucket seat.

- Brett A

A review of the 2006 Honda that I drive.

It is a good vehicle and does not require much maintenance. It is held up fairly well over the last 12 years, and we've driven many miles in it. I do not drive that frequently, but it is always been a good car for driving. I would recommend it to fellow drivers.

- Lucas H

Got to love a Honda van for years!

I love this van and had it for 13 years. I do not regret buying this van at all. The only thing I would change is to not buy one with light interior. But no leather. I am not a fan of leather seats. Just normal wear on repairs. We are well over 200, 000 miles.

- Lisa O

I love the room, the amount of seats, and the DVD player is very convenient.

One of the doors doesn't work and beeps if you try to open it. Apparently after speaking to other with the same vehicle have this very same issue with their automatic doors no longer working. Also the power steering seems to go out quickly on these vehicles.

- Ashley D

Quality vehicle at good price.

This vehicle has been extremely reliable ever since we purchased it over 11 years ago. We have done the normal upkeep and the vehicle just runs beautifully. We have had no major issues with it. Would certainly recommend buying Honda automobiles to anyone.

- Brian S

My van is dependable and spacious. It's a car worth driving and keeping for years to come.It maintains its value.

My van is High quality - I love the leather. It looks good on the inside and outside. My van is Dependable. I have four kids. I never want to be stranded and never have been. Thank GOD! It is Spacious. It fits our entire family and all of our stuff! YAY!

- Kathryn E

Family minivan, perfect for road trips.

I love my Odyssey. So many features, comfy and very family friendly. We have an older model but it came with all the luxury details and has really held up for its age. I feel so safe in it with my family as well. Smooth ride as well. Really love my car.

- Sara F

Decent car for a growing family.

It's a great car. Relatively good gas mileage considering its size. Runs smoothly and efficiently. It's got pretty good trunk space but it is a little tough to get in and out of the back row seats, and even harder to get children in and out of there.

- Miriam F

Lots of space for a big family

I love my Honda Odyssey because it is roomie and is great for my big family. We have taken long trips and never had any problems whatsoever. Great vehicle for road trips! If you are looking for a great family van The Honda Odyssey is the way to go.

- Jennifer H

That it is great for families who want something to last them a while.

I like that it has plenty of room for a family and it had been very dependable. I don't like the location of the top strap hooks for case seats. That year only had three and in odd places. We might upgrade of we have more kids to a better year.

- Celia m

That it is a great family car.

My 2005 Honda Odyssey is a great family car. I love the bucket seats and automatic doors for my kids. I bought this car used for a great price. Once and a while the door sticks and there are some cosmetic issues but overall It's a great car.

- Rachelle D

Great all around family vehicle

Runs perfectly with no major problems ever having to be repaired. It is very roomy for all passengers. Only problematic if you have more than two small children in car seats because there are limited latch and anchor points in the vehicle.

- Kristi W

It has been a great car in getting us from point A to point B.

I'm sure when it was brand new it looked great but I bought it used and the previous owners didn't take care of it. The dashboard is scuffed up, there are dents everywhere on it, the power doors do not work, and it leaks when it rains.

- Katelyn C

My minivan is large, comfortable to drive and ride in and practical.

I like that it holds all of my family plus guests. I like that it is a van but drives more like a car. Love my moonroof. My only complaint is that it's getting old and I may have to replace it eventually (and sometimes it rattles.)

- M V

Great car for large family.

I like the way my Honda odyssey drives. It is an older model and has needed some repairs including a transmission flush, but is reliable. I like the automatic opening side doors, the built in DVD player and screen, and heated seats.

- J B

2005 Honda Odyssey is reliable

My 2005 Honda Odyssey has been reliable in getting my family to and from work and school. We have some issues with the automatic sliding doors working correctly. I love that it came with a 6 disc changer. The heat and AC work great.

- Elizabeth S

Great family van for a family of five. I would definitely purchase this updated van again, when needed.

I like that it drives like a car. I feel safe while driving it, because of the brand. I wish the middle row would fold down like the back seats. I also wish there was a latch system for the middle seat in the middle row.

- Amy G

It's reliable, safe and great for families. It's also easy for our dogs to jump in and out of.

We got a minivan when my second child was born and I hated having to get a van. But it's the perfect car for having 3 kids and 3 large dogs to haul around. It's had relatively minor issues in 13 years and is reliable.

- Laura P

Great Van with a Small Downside

I love my van. It is so comfy and has enough amenities to make it luxurious without the luxurious price tag. The only problem I have found is the paint chipping issue that is well documented for this year of Odyssey.

- Jasmine A

An overall great deal for families

I've had my honda odyssey van for two years now since we purchased it in 2016. Although we purchased it used till this date it runs smooth . 40 dollars and i can fill the tank full and it will last me the whole week.

- Cristina M

It has one of the highest safety ratings. It is a very comfortable ride.

I love my Odyssey! It is so roomy for my family and is such a nice smooth ride. The only complaint would be we have problems with one of the back sliding doors. It's doesn't close sometimes. Very frustrating!

- Marcey D

It's dependable. There have been no major issues in 10 years of owning it.

We've driven this car for approximately 10 years and love it! It's been a very reliable vehicle with no major fixes other than sliding door issues. It is the perfect family car & extremely roomy.

- Amber O

It great for carpooling and transporting lots of sports equipment!

I love having a minivan. I love the storage space and ease of getting in and out of the car. I wish it got better gas mileage, but overall I really like having a minivan instead of a smaller car.

- Natalie V

Nothing is cheap or easy to fix on this vehicle. Everything is expensive and time consuming

Lots of mechanical issues lately. Too many repairs. Replaced the engine, cooling fan, alternator, radiator, power steering hose, serpentine belt. All within the past 6 months. Time to trade it in

- Rachelle G

It is a good reliable car. It is comfortable to drive for long distances. I would buy it again if I still had younger kids

I like that it is tall enough so I can see a lot. It also has good resale value. It is rated high. I don't like that it does not fit well in my garage. I don't like that the AC has gone out.

- T B

It's a great daily transport for my family and all our stuff.

It drives very smoothly. It's a very powerful van. Lots of space. Lots of features. But it's old. Has transmission and sliding door issues. Overall, though, it's a great transport for my family.

- Summarah H

It is reliable to transport several people and gear whether short or long trips.

I like my van because it can hold 5 people, a lot of groceries and other big items in the back. I really like the sliding doors because it is really convenient to use when I am not hands-free.

- Stephanie T

Follow service recommendations for when to have big services performed.

Ran great until around 100, 000 miles and since then have put in new engine, air conditioner, transmission gear/belt, innumerable batteries and the check engine light stays on all the time.

- Marilyn B

Will run (almost) forever!! The engine will last a long time, some other issue might pop up, but great dependable van.

I love that it has driven over 250,000 miles and still runs well. There are some electrical issues (automatic doors don't work, a fuse that shorts out). But it has been a great vehicle.

- Abby P

it's an excellent car: take car of it and it will last

there are 3 things i never liked: have to use the defroster a lot; not a lot of pickup hen going uphill; and there's a huge blind spot on the front windshield at the edge of the glass

- allison T

The amount of space it holds for a family of four.

I love my automatic doors and how accessible it is for my children. The way it drives makes me feel comfortable on the road. There is plenty of room to travel long trips with my kids.

- Danielle M

Very reliable and feels higher quality than most minivans I have been in.

I like that it is very reliable and has plenty of room for my family and any extra kids we might be driving with. The leather seats are falling apart though, so that is disappointing.

- Kelly H

It is perfect for a busy family.

Love the space, love the upgrades (heated seats, 6-CDs, power everything), love how it handles. Wish it got better mpg. Wish the rear door was electric. Can't think of anything else.

- Debbie T

It is comfortable and feels very safe.

I love the extra things like lots of cup holders and how easy it is to make the seat fit. I love how roomy it is. I wish all the seats would fold down to make the whole back open.

- dawn L

Perfect for a family, or a large group, to travel comfortably

Very comfortable, fits the whole family. It has plenty of room for groceries. The second row seats are reconfigurable, which has come in handy for moving. All around great vehicle.

- Ray R

Great Family Car: This vehicle is a must if you have multiple children!

Great space for our family. Our kids have plenty of room to move around. I don't know how we would have survived without the DVD player. Struggles with power on hills sometimes.

- Peter H

It is a very reliable vehicle. We have had no major issues other than wear and tear.

Roomy enough for a family of 6. It has a DVD player to keep my 2 year old busy. It is very good on gas. The sliding doors don't work right now but that's mainly from years of use.

- Sarah C

Change the oil before it tells you too, or other problems start to pop up.

Pros: Roomy, dependable, radio is nice quality. Cons: Expensive repairs, mpg is not great, brakes are weird feeling even after they have been fixed, struts are super expensive.

- Jonathan H

Great on Gas and reliable spacious and provides great storage

I have had my Odyssey for 4 years I bought it used I have had a few minor issues like that power steering pump but all in ll this van has been amazing and I would but another

- Jennifer S

Honda makes a great long lasting vehicle. As long as you take care of it, it will be a very dependable vehicle for a very long time.

There is so much room in my van, it's great for carpooling, moving furniture, and so much more. It has great gas mileage, it is low maintenance, and it's a comfortable ride.

- Melissa W

I love the color. That it could be a size bigger and more luxury.

I like how it drives. I like the size. I hate that the sliding doors always jamming. I love that it is runs good on the highway. I hate the ac goes out when it wants to.

- Doris W

It get up and go when it needs to.

Has eight seats which is nice. But the automatic doors are a pain. If you are not on totally flat surface the doors will not shut and you have to forcefully shut it.

- Courtney W

maintenance performed and age of vehicle and mileage driven

The minivan carries a lot of people or a good load of supplies for the farm. It has been durable and comfortable. I wish it had a hydraulic lift for the tailgate.

- Sarah M

I like to keep my car clean.

I like that it's a family car and we can take our kids. I like we can fit a lot of people for rides. I don't like when I drive alone it's a big car for one person.

- Claudia T

Hondas are reliable and are good vehicles for the long haul.

I like the leather seats and the amount of miles I have been able to put on it so far. I dislike that the sliding doors are having issues and one no longer opens.

- Connie N

Very practical family car. Good value for the money spent. Easy to drive.

Very easy to drive and see around while driving. Very practical for a family of 6 with small children. No complaints, happy with everything as much as I'd expect.

- Kate S

It's practical and efficient. I can carry 6 passengers, as well as a good amount of cargo.

I like the large seating capacity and the ride is very smooth. I do not like the cup holders or center console. Neither are very practical or function properly.

- Ryan H

It is a very comfortable ride.

I like the size enough for family trips.. I also like how much rooms it has.. I dislike the automatic slide doors cause they stick at times and is very slow.

- Joann N

Great shape runs amazing Honda is amazing great gas mileage built to last

It was great when kids are little and love the comfort it has low mileage easy to get in n out great make Don't like now that kids are older and single mom

- Michelle s

Hondas are very reliable and rated as very good cars.

When the battery dies, the radio and sound system goes out and you have to call up to get a code to get it to restart. Otherwise, it is a very nice car.

- Gwen J

Honda Odyssey is a fine car for adults and parents but not the greatest for a college kid.

It works really well, but is a little older now. Occasionally it won't switch into park well. I also don't enjoy how large of a vehicle it is in general.

- Erin R

Honda Odyssey is a reliable and long-lasting car for all

My car is very reliable. It has almost 200k miles and it has very minimal problems. It gets very good mileage on the freeway but bad mileage around town

- Sofia W

It has a lot of little details that are very convenient. Lots of storage, lots of cup holders. 12V power outlets front and rear.

I like that it is very reliable. It is also a very driver friendly minivan. I dislike that it is a minivan. It is not very cool.

- Ted G

Bought vehicle new and and been reliable over past 13 years. Air conditioner went out one year ago and had to be replaced. Three years ago, power steering pump had to be replaced. This is not bad for all the years I have had this vehicle.

Roof leaks on both sides of vehicle, drip rails, a and b pillars soaking seat beasts and other interior pieces in the vehicle

It drives well and handles like a dream. It is roomy, i can fit all i need inside. It is loud when driving on the highway.

It is old and has had lots of electrical problems and the motor has not lasted as long as I expected from a Honda vehicle.

Reliable, comfortable and a great ride. Gets good gas mileage, plenty of room and storage. A wonderful vehicle over all.

Getting old, but it handles well. Plastic bumper has been sagging for several years. Electric door is starting to fail.

- Dan B

It is comfortable to drive.

- Yasmin M

Its spacious, has navigation system, nice stereo, DVD player, automatic sliding doors, sunroof and many other features.

My last minivan had very few features so this van has so many more that I love. It has dual automatic sliding doors, the back seats fold down into the floor of the car, there is a DVD players for rear passengers to watch, and the driver's seat is very adjustable which is very helpful for the height difference between my husband and me. My only dislike is that it's lower to the ground than my last minivan so it is more likely to scrape the road when pulling out of a business' driveway.

It has more features than you'll know what to do with.

- Sydnie S
