Extremely reliable even in its old age.
Problems: at 12 years old, needed air conditioning replaced. At 10 years old needed power steering pump replaced, mass air flow sensor replaced, and one front wheel bearing replaced. At 13 years old, need the other front wheel bearing replaced as well as two new motor mounts. Features: powered side doors. Average mpg: 19. Has 150k miles, and I plan on getting 20 years out of it.

I love that it seats all 7 of us comfortably.
The run flat tires are so expensive and you can only get them replaced at Honda. They don't last more than a year. Both my sliding doors and my sunroof have jammed and we don't use the sunroof or the drivers side door anymore. The armrest has ripped over normal wear and tare.

I love the room, the amount of seats, and the DVD player is very convenient.
One of the doors doesn't work and beeps if you try to open it. Apparently after speaking to other with the same vehicle have this very same issue with their automatic doors no longer working. Also the power steering seems to go out quickly on these vehicles.

Honda Odyssey: an all-around great car.
I have been driving a Honda Odyssey for approx. 7 years. I have found it to be extremely reliable and rides smoothly. The seats are comfortable, even if driving a long way. The passenger seats are roomy enough for all passengers. The previous Odyssey that I drove was equipped with a DVD player which was great for the kiddos. The Odyssey that I drive now is equipped with a sunroof, which I love. The Odyssey is a good vehicle for transporting little ones still in car seats. I have a daycare and am able to fit three car seats across in both the middle seat and the back seat which has been extremely important.

Decent car for a growing family.
It's a great car. Relatively good gas mileage considering its size. Runs smoothly and efficiently. It's got pretty good trunk space but it is a little tough to get in and out of the back row seats, and even harder to get children in and out of there.

It has been a great car in getting us from point A to point B.
I'm sure when it was brand new it looked great but I bought it used and the previous owners didn't take care of it. The dashboard is scuffed up, there are dents everywhere on it, the power doors do not work, and it leaks when it rains.

Great all around family vehicle
Runs perfectly with no major problems ever having to be repaired. It is very roomy for all passengers. Only problematic if you have more than two small children in car seats because there are limited latch and anchor points in the vehicle.

Great vehicle if you have children!
We love our van, we've had some mechanical issues with our passenger back door but it is a 2005 so some wear and tear is to be expected. There is so much room in the back and trunk! It is the perfect vehicle for a family! A car seat fits great in the bucket seat.

Great car for large family.
I like the way my Honda odyssey drives. It is an older model and has needed some repairs including a transmission flush, but is reliable. I like the automatic opening side doors, the built in DVD player and screen, and heated seats.

The best van in the market has got to be the odyssey
The car is very reliable. It's very smooth and really haven't had much problems with the engine at all. The timing belt did go out at about 150,000 miles but it wasn't a pain to get it fixed. The only thing I really didn't like about is where the spare tire is located.

Love our odyssey's longevity
This vehicle has held up extremely well over the test of time. It's now 14 years later since this was a brand new vehicle, and we only have to replace the left sliding door action. With regular maintenance it has lasted extremely well, and we currently have a slight oil leak but it is nothing major and the rest of the vehicle is completely sound overall we love it!

I love my Honda Odyssey! It is pretty reliable, the only issues I've had with it were ac sometimes and a bad battery. Other than that I love the space, beautiful leather seats, great trunk space, good layout with nice foldable seats. It's an amazing car for a family and for people who love to have space and be able to load big loads in their cars. I highly recommend this car, it's pretty good on gas & easy to drive for a high up van. Not to mention very safe for those with families. 5 stars all the way!!

Honda odyssey has hiccups.
The automatic sliding doors don't work so they are now very heavy and hard to open. The track for the drivers side sliding door is rusted and breaking. The auto driving assistant frequently stops working. Being an older model, I worry about the safety of the folding down back seats after reports on a teen getting trapped in the same van.

The Honda odyssey is a long-standing front-runner of family features.
I have really enjoyed my Honda odyssey. Even though it is an old model, it keeps up with the features I enjoy. My favorites are two remote controlled sliding doors and the easy fold away seats. We use these features the most. We also specifically chose this car for the full 8 seats. The center row of seats are easy to move for access to the back row. . When we take the car into the Honda dealership for repairs, the diagnostics are quick and clear. . At nearly 15 years old we are still pleased with our Honda odyssey performance.

My 2005 Honda Odyssey has been reliable in getting my family to and from work and school. We have some issues with the automatic sliding doors working correctly. I love that it came with a 6 disc changer. The heat and AC work great.

The Honda Odyssey is one of the best minivans I've ever had! It has been reliable, with very few breakdowns over the years. We have it serviced regularly, so it is in pristine condition. It's an older model, but it still works beautifully. The only problem I've had as it's gotten older is the automatic doors. They don't always register as being shut, so you have to hit the button once more to make the buzzer shut off. Other than that, it's really a great vehicle!

It is a really nice vehicle. It performs well and can handle much heavy duty. The interior is quite spacious and have soft seats, making it comfortable. The best thought out vehicle that I have ever owned ergonomically. Comfortable for long rides with a large fuel tank to minimize needing to stop on long trips. It's a very reliable vehicle. The third row seating comes in handy. I love that it has a built in DVD player so I can keep my children entertained. It's very comfortable and spacious. Going on long road trips are a breeze. It does have problem with the automatic doors. Sometimes they get stuck and/or do not close right. It's pretty decent on gas which is great because it is pure main vehicle. Overall I love this car! Even with the door problems it's still a great vehicle.

Comfortable, basic upkeep. Has 198,000 miles and still going strong. No big expensive repairs. Hate no flat tires. They are way overpriced and don't last long. Front seats are comfortable, back seats also, automatic doors have worked great for 13 years. Neck rest not the best, air filter for cabin is just ok. Air conditioning went out at year 10.

Great for families and extended-families.
I really like this care because, with a family of 4, it makes it easy to haul everyone. When kids were smaller, I liked that I could actually be INSIDE the car while I buckle their carseats and when we were waiting for something they can roam around in the car. It is also convenient to drive other people besides my own family. One thing I don't like are the run-flat tires. They are more expensive to replace and cannot use ordinary chains.

The power sliding doors quit working, and will not hold alignment, and it gets bad gas mileage. That's the cons the rest we like the room, it runs good, it does need some body work because it's got high mileage but it's great for our family with the room and the power and reliability to take it on long trips.

This car is great for a family when it runs properly.
It has good get up and go. It fits our family with room to spare for groceries. It has heated seats and warms up quickly in the winter. It's problematic in the summer as it AC doesn't cool unless the car is in motion. It has had issues with ignition coils needing to be replaced often which leaves us short a car. The stereo system isn't working like it should; only the radio works and not the DVD or CD player or the auxiliary inputs

My vehicle was bought used however, it is reliable. It recently had several recalls for airbags and brakes. Not sure, if I would buy this make and model of vehicle again. It's a touring van with GPS and DVD player.
My Honda is pretty reliable except for the under the hood shield came off. The gas tank was recalled but Honda dealership replaced it at no cost. We have taken it on several road trips and it has over 210,000 miles on it. It has never given any trouble on our long trips.

My last minivan had very few features so this van has so many more that I love. It has dual automatic sliding doors, the back seats fold down into the floor of the car, there is a DVD players for rear passengers to watch, and the driver's seat is very adjustable which is very helpful for the height difference between my husband and me. My only dislike is that it's lower to the ground than my last minivan so it is more likely to scrape the road when pulling out of a business' driveway.

The only problem is the lack of top leathers for car seats in the van. There are only three total and the only one in the third row goes across the cargo hold. I do love the storage space and cup holders in the van. Newer models are even better. There is an option to add a jump seat to the second row. We have had very little mechanical problems with it.

Love Our Honda Odyssey Minivan
My husband and I have really enjoyed our Honda Odyssey minivan. It has been a very reliable vehicle, as well as super useful to haul things. We love the option of the back seats folding into the floor and the ability, if needed, to also remove the second row of seats. When we did this I was able to move my daughter to Washington DC more easily than if I would have had a truck. We are going to be getting a new vehicle in the future, and though we no longer have children like we did when we originally purchased this one, we are considering another Honda Odyssey.

This vehicle has been our life saver. Having 4 kids and a husband which makes 6 people gives us the room to be comfortable. Parts are decently priced to get fix and hopefully its a while before something breaks. It's a great car! Even the year the we have as a 2005 has been so accommodating to our family.

It is 13 years old and we've had very few problems with the car.
I love that it is safe & dependable, it seats 8. It has lots of room, but does not feel big when driving it. It is easy to drive and very reliable.

Summary of our 2005 Honda Odyssey
Our Honda is amazing! The side doors slide automatically, it has a built in DVD player, a third row, and it drives so smooth. It is well built and reliable! We absolutely love it with our 3 kids. When we have others ride, getting to the 3rd seat is supper easy! It's a pull of a lever and we're there.
