Reliable and Versatile Family Van

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

This is a pretty comfortable car, with a lot of versatility. It carries up to 8 people, through the middle seat in the center row is very narrow, and not appropriate for a child's car seat, or most adults. The back row can be folded down to carry luggage for a big trip, with enough room still for 5 people. Or partially folded down to allow for 1 or 2 more passengers. Middle row can also be removed for carrying furniture, etc. I have had to make very few repairs. Downsides include: a lot of blind spots for shorter drivers, door gaskets which deteriorated after just a few years, sliding door motors which have had to be replaced, and an expensive steering wheel part which had to be replaced. I like that oil life is displayed on dashboard. The sound system is ok, and mine still has a CD player which is great for books on CD for long trips. There is a lot of headroom in this minivan. Leg room is pretty good except for very tall people. My husband who is 6' 7' only fits in driver seat, and that is still pretty tight. Overall I would say this is a pretty reliable vehicle. We have been pretty happy with it for almost 10 years.

Mike Honda odyssey review

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

With the 2008 Honda odyssey I drive comes with some concerns. First I want to say it has been a reliable van for me and my family even with the mishaps. The concerns seem to always get my attention. For instance when I first got the vehicle the alternator when dead on me when I was out of town with my children. I got it towed to the place where I bought it and the replaced it. Exactly 2 months later the alternator goes out again. This time I was on my way to work. And then maybe a month after they replaced the alternator again the tension belt came off while I was driving. I was fed up at this point. So then I ended up getting it put back on. Ever since then I haven't had any issues besides the battery light come on and off. My defrost doesn't work. I have ac and heat just not to blow at my window. I have heated seats, sunroof, automatic sliding doors. Its a real great family vehicle.

My Honda Odyssey is perfect for large families!

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

It is reliable, quiet, no problems only routine maintenance, comfortable, good features. She rides smooth, the motor is quite which is sometimes hard to tell when it's on but nice. Had trouble with air conditioning relay in the past. But no major issues just routine maintenance for the most part. Have had it a few years and still love it. Very spacious, fit 7 people and everything we needed for a 20hr road trip which is nice. Features like the steering wheel radio buttons are my favorite. Would like to upgrade one day to something with more features however for the price this van was perfect for our family and it will probably run forever.

Great family car! I love the extra seat that can be added in.

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

This car has been a great family car. We have the back seats that fold down and can fit 2x4's throughout the length of the car. I like the middle seats where you have the option to add a seat or take it out going from 7 to 8 passenger vehicle. I will say it has some blind spots towards the back and in the front, specifically noticed around going through roundabouts. Has spare tire on the side which is better than the bottom of the trunk especially if you are traveling and need to use it. Have not had any trouble in snow ( live in the Midwest). Honestly no complaints I can think of.

Great for road trips and everyday!

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

Driving this vehicle doesn't make me feel like I'm in a minivan but rather a luxury car! There are so many great features for families of all ages and stages! We absolutely love the comfortable seats, the ease of removing or storing seats as needed, the sliding doors at the push of a button, and the HUGE trunk space! We get great gas mileage for road trips and always have plenty of room for people and baggage for our family of 6.

2008 Honda Odyssey: The Perfect Car for Trips, Family, and Fun

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

Thus far over the eleven years of owning the vehicle, it has never been necessary to repair any parts. The performance is stellar, and the model has invariably been reliable for the kids and for other family members. The size accommodates for larger parties, pets, bikes, or small tables. The car boasts up to 7 seats with a removable tray. The seats are comfortable and above every seat is an AC vent.

Honda Odyssey: All in One Family Car

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

This car has been the main family car since 2008, and thus has endured several long road trips and family vacations. It is extremely durable and safe, would not recommend getting 2008 Odyssey with as many miles on it as my car has, but less-used 2008 Odysseys or later Odysseys are a perfect bet for a family car. The Odysseys have only gotten better. Very smooth ride and steering control.

Safe, Reliable Minivan: Perfect for Families

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

My minivan has a few problems merely because it is old and very used. However, it is a very reliable vehicle and I feel safe driving such a large car. The seat height and position is high off the ground but comfortable. It runs well, can drive fast, and has a high horsepower. I have no problem with the audio and climate systems. Overall, it is a solid car and I would recommend.

The Honda Odyssey is a reliable family vehicle

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

My vehicle is very comfortable and spacious. It has been very reliable through the years, requiring only minor work. It has great performance. One problem I have encountered is the automatic doors have trouble opening and closing often. I love the DVD player feature. I wish it had an automatic closing back hatch. So far it has been an excellent vehicle.

2008 Honda odyssey - great van!

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

I have had no trouble with my 2008 Honda odyssey it is 11 years old. I follow all the maintenance schedules and it is a very reliable van. We travel in it on family vacations, plenty of room to stretch out comfortably. To my surprise I still love my van as if I bought it yesterday! The exterior and interior still look great and it has 155k miles.

Honda Odyssey power door issues

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

The rear side doors open without incident, but closing them is difficult as the power doors malfunction often and there is no way to manually close the door. The radio quality is poor and the tire pressure sensor light is constantly on regardless of tire pressure. The vehicle gets me to where I need to be, but not without its issues.

Honda 08 van the best van for you.

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

I only have problems with the sliding doors on my van other than that the van runs amazing and well kept I would recommend this van to anyone with a big family and on a budget for cheap maintenance on the van if it is getting expensive to drive around check the ikat on the van and have it replace.

Reliable Vehicle. Planning to keep my van for a few more years. No complaints.

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

I love my Odyssey van. It is very reliable. Only requires standard maintenance. Have 80,000+ miles and just replaced original tires and replaced battery. Very comfortable for traveling. Amazingly the CD player still works. Like the fact when the third row down, the surface is level.

I have a white, 2008 Honda Odyssey.

2008 Honda Odyssey LX

The only problems with my Honda, currently, is the fact that it can sometimes be a little louder and sound like a tin can. This may be a problem that is only with my vehicle, but I'm not sure since it has always been this way (bought from a relative).
