The Honda Pilot has really been a lifesaver for me and my family! This SUV has so much space with the added 3rd row of seating and it still has trunk space as well. It rides very smooth is easy to handle and is great on gas. We use this SUV everyday and for road trips all over the world and we have yet to have any issues.

Dependable and attractive vehicle.
I really love this car because it has many features. You can place the car on traction in bad weather, there is a/c for front and back and also it is a great vehicle to travel in. The only thing I don't enjoy is gas mileage. It can be a guzzler but that is the only thing wrong and it is very worth it.

Expensive to maintain lives at dealers shop every weekend.
Rough riding, expensive to maintain, low quality of materials to build it and designed to have lot of dealer replaced parts as they are not in parts store. Poor gas mileage. Chrome peals of on inside electronics are bad nothing works right electric seats have burned up, if it is electric it will not work right!

The four wheel drive can get you out of situations and is very helpful. It has third row seating if you need to bring the family anywhere.
The Honda is great because its four wheel drive, the interior is great. Its reliable to take me anywhere. The gas is great. Overall I love it.

Great car for a family of 4!
Has lots of room, good on gas, and user friendly. 3 rows of seating without looking bulky. Easy to drive. Plenty of trunk space even with third row in use. Comes with interchangeable mat, easy to spray off wash. Has window screens for middle seats. Low maintenance, cold air conditioning

Nice comfortable ride, reasonable gas mileage, reliable and dependable tows great and great for camping as well with roof racks for your gear and recreation kayaks, canoe,ski's ect... As well as has 3rd row seating as well for 8 people all features but not to many to be hard to read, plus low maintenance.

This car is a sissy in cold weather. When parked outside, it has a tendency for lines to break in leak fluid on the driveway
I like the AWD. I like that the bottom of the car is higher than most of the snow we get. I like the leather interior. I like that it is comfortable to drive on long trips. I like the movie screen option for the kids

The most important thing others should know about my car is that it is expensive to repair.
My vehicle is four wheel drive and I love this about my car. The thing I hate about my car is that it has blind spots that can not be seen in the mirrors or by just looking. Newer models of my car have driver assist so these blind spots are not an issue. Would like my car better if it had this feature.

I have owned other Honda smaller cars and when I drove the pilot it drove just like the smaller cars I have owned. It's very comfortable and I like that it has more space. Also the back hatch is so convenient when I go shopping.

One Tough Reliable Vehicle
The Honda Pilot is a very reliable vehicle. I have had no major issues with is until this year. A car being 16 years old and 242,000 miles needed a new alternator. Other than that, I have only paid for regular maintenance. It has always handled all weather conditions well (in WI and VT).

Honda pilots are reliable and dependable and are like the energizer bunny.
It is the most comfortable seating, leg room, foot room and getting in and out. I love the built in camera and GPS. It is now 16 years old and still going strong. I love Hondas and especially the Pilot model. Of course it has needed a few repairs like new transmission.

My beloved 2003 Honda pilot.
I have had a few problems with the air conditioning system and had to get it replaced a few years ago. It is now making the same noise it did before it broke last time. My srs light has been on since I got the car in 2016. Did have a problem with it stalling out on the side of the highway once. Batteries will die fast if you leave on a light for leave the car sitting for too long. Car has over 200,000 miles and still runs great. Those were just some of the main problems that came to mind.

It does not shift out of park unless you press a switch in the steering wheel.
It has issues with its transmission, so it is just very frustrating to drive sometimes, since it bucks and struggles to maintain a regular speed.

It is a great SUV, 170, miles and don't use a drop of oil, you can hear it running. Just put 4 new tires on it, great on gas and the 4 week drive really works great, seats are in great shape, some dings on the outside some of clear coat is coming off the rear right door.

If I fold down the back row of seats, I have a surprising amount of trunk space.
My car is a pretty stable car. I have had it for 15 years and it still runs great. I will say that the very back seat for this model does lack in leg room. My car does have an am/FM radio which helps with the one CD option my car came with.

Problems with Honda pilot
Have had problems several times with alternator. Had problem with ignition had to replace in steering column which had then to be reset with computer. Anytime the car dies or needs to repair you must then have to contact Honda for radio and other equipment to get radio reset nowhere in car do you find the code to reset..irritation. Problems with the factory set alarm works then does not.

The Pilot is versatile and can haul a lot of people even though it's not a van.
I love my Pilot because it is so big and versatile. I can carry 8 or a bunch of groceries. I love that I can unlock all the doors from the passenger side. The only things I dislike are that it takes quite a bit of gas and is not as new as it used to be.

Great car
We have had our pilot for 16 years. It's been a great car with very few problems. I just found out a few days ago that the front end is going out on us and we are going to have to replace our baby. So sad but after 260,000+ miles it's time to give it a rest. We are in the process of looking for another pilot now. Can't say enough about the dependability.

The 2003 Honda pilot is a solid car for the college experience.
My car is a hand me down from my grandfather and at 15 years old it is still running great! The all wheel drive is a feature I especially appreciate as I often drive back roads to get to trailheads. The trunk space is very small if you have all of the seats flipped up, but it is manageable if you are willing to make it work as I have fit 8 girls and all of our luggage on weekend road trips. This car has a cassette tape and no AUX cord, but luckily technology allows for me to still connect my phone to the stereo through the cassette tape thingy. It also plays CDs and has the radio.

Only problem I have had is the transmission blew. Cost $2, 700 to fix. Other than that it drives great! It seats 8 people great for tall people. It has adjustable seating, moveable and folding seats with detachable seat belts for when folding down the seats. Comes with 10 cup holders, 2 are in a fold down in middle row. Can fit 6 car seats comfortably. Room for storage and has roof racks. Has anti-theft installed as well as CD player and cassette player. Power adjustable driver seat and adjustable steering wheel. Power windows with window locks and auto roll for drivers window. Vtec engine goes 0-60 in under 20 seconds. Runs great in all weather conditions and comes with 4 wheel drive.

Great ride for tall people
It's a somewhat smooth ride. Gets decent gas mileage. For the most part, it has been reliable. Only requiring the occasional oil change, tire alignment, and 1 new set of tires. The car also handles really well. Its spacious and great for someone who is 6 foot 5 inches tall.

There have been many reports of ignition switch problems with this vehicle.

Good perks of owning a Honda pilot.
I like that you sit high and have a better view and good visibility all around. Leather seats are comfortable year round. Climate control keeps the interior comfortable. Room to haul things makes it even more useful. Third row seating is a nice to have, even tho we do not use it. We are the second owners of the car and it still has years of use in it. With the multiple perks it will be a car we keep for quite a while.

Good vehicle overall, needs better air flow
My Honda Pilot is very dependable. It had to have a transmission rebuild around 150,000. It was money well spend, because it has ran flawless since. I love all the space for my kids. I do wish there was more air vents for the 2nd row and especially 3rd row. No one can ride in the 3rd row during summer, it's too hot.

Reliable, dependable, not very fuel efficient. Ride is ok but not too nimble, not that comfortable on long trips. Ride is a little too rough. It will get you from point A to point B. Not fun to drive. It is a safe vehicle but bulky. Does not have latest safety features.

Economical - price wasn't bad and the gas mileage, it is definitely worth it. Also has enough power and traction to go up hills in not such good weather.
I like my vehicle quite a bit. I can store a lot in the trunk, which is great for grocery shopping. It has a third row seat that can be used, if needed. The 3rd row is not the most feasible for adults, but works well for kids. For a short trip, it would work well enough. My Pilot gets decent gas mileage and isn't too large of vehicle, so it is easy to drive.

Amazing red Honda Pilot 2003.
When I first got this car, I fell in love with it! I was young when I first got it and I was so excited. It is a dull red Honda Pilot. The middle console is super nice and spacious. It can hold two drinks and has two compartments to hold storage. The seats are very comfortable and nice. This vehicle drives very smoothly and reliably. The turn radius not the best because it is a bigger car, but it gets the job done. There are two rows of three seats that are spacious and comfortable as well. The trunk gets bigger if you put the second row of seats down, which is helpful to hold more storage. The gas mileage is very nice of this car. I do not have to waste time filling this car up with gas constantly and consistently because it holds a lot. There is no sunroof to this car which is a downfall but the windows roll all the way down and are very wide. The front and back windshield wipers get the job done in a beautiful and efficient way that I am impressed with. There have not been many problems with my amazing Honda vehicle. Buying this car was an amazing idea because of how reliable and efficient this car is for me and my other family members who drive it. I have not had problems with the engine or the tires. The brakes get squeaky but they just need to be oiled. The steering wheel is nice and not too heavy. My car is an older model but it works like it is brand new.

I love my Honda Pilot, I have had it since 2003, when I purchased it new from the dealer. It is reliable, very comfortable, very little "blind" spots. And very roomy. I have had up to 8 people at a time in it at many times, and it is still roomy. The a/c is awesome. I do not like the leather, it didn't last like it should have as well as the outside paint. That was and is a negative for us. As well as the leather seats.

Dents, Engine problems, runs bad, just really old. I ran my car into the garage and I didn't get it fixed. I have key issues and my car is currently in the shop for it. Makes a creaking noise when I open the door. Horn doesn't work, unable to honk it. Radio does work. This car is useless and just doesn't work

SUV with charm and comfort for a growing family! Low maintenance, high quality.
My 2003 Honda Pilot, is so rewarding the level of comfort and space for our growing family has been satisfying. We keep up with maintenance the car runs smooth. The only hiccups we have had is the sensor for the power locks and the key fob, it happen after our battery died. Not a big problem after we fixed the key fob. We enjoy our camping trips, the amount of space to haul all our necessities. Our ages are from 41- 18 mos old we all have plenty of space once we pack all our belongings.

Gets good gas mileage compared to other suvs. The backseat allows no leg room
I love my pilot. I have had mostly only routine maintenance repairs done. One issue I have had and seems common is the sway bar links or bushings. It is a cheap diy repair however. It doesn't affect driving the vehicle but does make a huge clunk when they are shot.

The Honda Pilot is a sturdy and comfortable vehicle, and has lasted many years. It was great storage, a sunroof, excellent mileage. However it has had a lot of problems over the years with breaks, transmission and battery. A lot of money has been put into fixing general issues - potentially more than it was worth.

It is an old model but has very low mileage for its age.
My vehicle is old but has very good, low mileage for it is age. It runs very well but it has its wear and tarte and disadvantages. The steering wheel is not as high powered as the newer once. It is reliable. It does not have screens that can help you navigate, park or give directions like those of the touch screens. Other than that it good but I would certainly like to upgrade it when I can financially.

It fits a family of 8. It is size is reasonable and it drives well. It has heated seats, DVD and CD player. Also has a tape deck in it. The only thing I do not care for is when we have to use all the back seats there’s no trunk space. Otherwise I love this SUV.

Very reliable, comfortable, safe, drives very well even though it's older. The pilot fits 8 people very comfortably and the back of the car can be converted to just extra storage if you put the seats down. I love Honda cars and have owned 2 so far. I like Honda better than Toyota. I have owned both. Honda seems a little better made. We bought our car used and it had a warranty through the dealer. This was great because it paid for a lot of repairs. Older cars start to break so I am glad we got the extra warranty. We had problems with the alternator, breaks, power windows, and suspension. Motor runs great!

Overall it's a great vehicle for a family over 5 due to its 3 row seating.
My Honda Pilot has very low gas mileage! It drives pretty well but you will be out of a lot of money for a short trip. It has 3 row seats which is a plus! It also has DVD player and cloth seats. On the highway it will be a smooth drive since it's a 4 wheel drive.

Navigation is probably one of the first ones ever installed.
My car is old but reliable. 173, 000 miles and going strong. Runs well but showing wear and tear in interior and exterior. Leather seats are tearing but the heated seats still work well. Heat is working and DVD player sometimes does not spit out the CD. Cruise control is inconsistent.

I do not like the blind spots and the steering feels tight. The gas mileage is average and it is comfortable over all. I do like the 3rd row seat and the extra storage space if you do not use the seats. This vehicle has been very reliable with minor repairs needed. We've kept up with all maintenance as stated in the user manual and always stay on top of oil changes. I think this assists with the reliability of the car.

I love my SUV. The perfect family car.
I have no complaints about this car. It is spacious fitting 7 of us with plenty of trunk space still. I love being high up and feeling secure in a car and we have that luxury as a family of three. I love being in an SUV and could never see myself going back to a sedan.

Honda makes a real good vehicle.
I like the power it has, especially when going up a hill or climbing the mountain. I like that it is affordable. I dislike repairs - but that would be with any vehicle. The gas can get a little costly. But it has not failed me yet!

It has always been a super reliable car. I feel the transmission is the weak link although I have never had a problem. The headlights outer shield are plastic and fog up in the sun. Better if they were made of glass. The glass ones are available for 100 bucks and that is a rip off.

Great roomy family vehicle
I've owned my Pilot for 6 years now. I have over 250,000 miles. I've never had any type of major problem. Its extremely roomy, comfortable and drives smooth. Seats in back lay down and you have about if not more room than a truck bed. When I get a new vehicle, it will be another Pilot just newer.

Nice simple SUV with strong machine.
The car has wide inside space, lots of room for legs. It has nice and simple interior, strong machines, simple to use. It has 3 rows of seat, big trunk, gas mileage is not good as it consumes lots of gasoline. The car is tall so you have a better chance to survive a flood.

Very reliable car. I would tell a friend to strongly consider Honda.
The car is very reliable and a nice drive. Negatives include the car is a loud drive and poor gas mileage. Since it is an older model car I needed to upgrade the radio to have Bluetooth, etc. This car however is an excellent second car which can fit 5 adults easily along with room in the back for cargo. I use it to tow a small camper and waverunner.

The Number One Family Vehicle
The Honda Pilot is comfortable to drive and quite reliable. The reliability is the reason why I purchased it. Since it has three row seating, the entire family gets to travel together, making the Pilot a nice family car. The vehicle also has a DVD player and the children love watching movies on long trips.

Silver 2003 Honda pilot with v6 engine.
Did have trouble with the timing belt getting out of rhythm which resulted in broken pistons and needing an entirely new engine. Handles extremely well in snow and poor road conditions. Gas mileage is about average for a 2003. Rusting on both rear corner panels likely from salt getting kicked up from tires. All inside amenities work well and have not had to replace anything.
