Trusted, reliable, and really comfortable handling.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

The 2005 Honda pilot is a great car. The only persistent problem that we have is the steering fluid hoses need to be replaced. It leaks so we have to fill up the fluid so it doesn't make this horrible sound. Our tpms warning light has always come on, but our tire pressure is always just fine. The performance of the Honda pilot is so great. We test drove a lot of vehicles and chose the pilot because it just felt super comfortable to drive. You know when you sit in a new car and it feels weird, we never felt that way when we test drove Honda pilots. It is super reliable, the 4wd is awesome in snow, rain, and muddy conditions. The features are okay considering it is a 2005, but we use the rear DVD play all the time for our kids. We love that it has 3 rows of seating. Our leather seats clean up well, especially with kids. We love that it has the latch system for car seats. This car handles really well and if we decide to buy another car, it will most likely be a Honda pilot.

Honda Pilots Are Reliable!

2005 Honda Pilot LX

Brakes and air conditioner is out but it had ran over 300,000 miles.. It runs smooth but it's so hot and the interior is falling apart .. It's gone to different state and cities. I have driven it for my business, property management. It has lots of room for hauling. We head to the lake practically every weekend and haul so much and it all fits.. I appreciate the roomy seats and back for ice chests and lots of bags. I haul sheetrock and wood in the Pilot from Home Depot. One evening when my husband and I were heading home from the lake a deer literally rammed the side of the Pilot. It scared the hell out of me but we kept on driving. When we arrived home there was a long scratch from the back of the Pilot to the passenger side.. For all the years we had The Pilot it has been a reliable vehicle for all the traveling and years it's held up pretty well! I would buy another Pilot. Honda is a brand our family trusts when it comes to reliability.

Great all around car except for one known defect.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

Overall I'm pretty happy with my Honda. It's comfortable. It's large enough to easily carry groceries, the dog, kids, etc. but not too large that it's difficult to find parking or maneuver the narrow streets of my city. I've had very few mechanical issue with it. The back seat AC gave out a couple years ago. Only recently the sensor for the tailgate has begun to malfunction every time that it rains heavily. Unfortunately, it rains heavily often where I live. This means that I can't lock my car in heavy rain. If I do, the sensor thinks the tailgate is open, then the car's alarm system goes off. That is the greatest pain I've had with this car and, according to what I've researched on the internet, it's a common problem for Pilots. Otherwise, it seems to run well, I feel safe driving it and it has given me much fewer issues than other makes of cars I have owned in the past.

Room to adapt and spread out

2005 Honda Pilot LX

Roomy, lots of cup holders, 3 rows of seats, adaptable though seat belts are hard to use in 3rd row with booster seats, spacious with lots of leg and head room, nice center console, easy to drive and easy to handle, drivers seat adjusts well, some people may have trouble getting into seat because of height, gas mileage just ok, seems to be hard on tires - wearing out quickly but we put a lot of miles on our car's, air conditioning and heat work well with vents in 2nd row of seats, tailgate door sometimes not shutting snugly which leaves an air noise

Its grey, I love the color.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

Roomy, comfortable and surprisingly adept, the Honda Pilot is among the most recommendable midsize SUVs. ' For 2019, Honda has revised the Pilot and addressed its few sticking points, including a hesitant 9-speed transmission on higher trims and the lack of a volume knob. This new Pilot also gets a freshened exterior design, newly standard safety systems, and revised technology, making an already highly recommendable SUV something of a no-brainer for busy families

Safe and reliable while our girls grew up.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

Our car has been comfortable for a family of four. With the additional 3rd row it was very helpful when carpooling for sports but then with the 3rd row folding flat, it has a lot of storage space. I like the AC and comfort level of heat as well. The radio and speakers work well and there is also heat for the middle row. With a Honda, we really have only ever had to do normal, standard maintenance. It has been a safe and reliable car for years.

The pilot is an excellent choice for a solo driver or family.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

The pilot is extremely comfortable, especially for a four wheel drive model. I really liked the DVD player attachment, although I have rarely gotten the chance to use it as I am usually driving. Performance wise, the pilot handles great, and manages sharp turns with ease. . My one complaint would be the ac settings, as they hardly go low enough on a hot Texas day. But that is minor compared to the quality of the ride that the pilot gives me.

2005 Honda Pilot : Amazing!

2005 Honda Pilot LX

I really love my car! I have 4 children and love how easy the seats can adjust for installation of car seats and it also has plenty of storage in the back! The four wheel drives is perfect for all the off-roading adventures we go on and is essential for winter days that leave the roads hazardous. Such a great family car with plenty of circulating air vents to keep the whole car cool on hot summer days! Overall an amazing vehicle!

A truly reliable vehicle..The Honda Pilot

2005 Honda Pilot LX

I've had the car for a while and it's just now starting to need repairs, has 150k miles on it. No major issues. Only the usual oil changes, battery replacement and the such. Truly a reliable vehicle. Has taken us on several road trips. Hoping it will continue to last me for another couple of years, but I would totally get another Honda any day

Comfortable SUV - Honda Pilot

2005 Honda Pilot LX

This SUV can accommodate 7 people. It has enough room for everybody which makes it comfortable especially for long drives. It has a sunroof, an auto cruise, however, there's not much technology on ours because it's an older model. Nonetheless, just like the newer Honda Pilot, it runs smooth and quiet. The interior is high quality made.

Transmission Issues With Age

2005 Honda Pilot LX

The roof lining is coming off and it is susceptible to rust. However, this is more of a testament to age of the vehicle rather than a manufacturing flaw. The transmission is also an issue. Sometimes the car will not turn on upon turning the key and it requires it to be put in neutral first, then back to park, then it will turn on

- Heather F

The car best for families or people who transport a lot of stuff.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

It is big and can fit 8 people. It is good for long drives. Great as a family car but still fashionable enough for city driving. Easy to navigate. This is an old model but is still great on the road. I noticed that the tpms light is the first one that was broken through the years. Also the window sealants are starting to give up.

- Cece C

It's been running for over 14 years and it's still like brand new!!

2005 Honda Pilot LX

It's had some problems with its power steering and I've had to get it fixed several times but it's also very old. It has over 220,000 miles on it and it's still running really well. It doesn't have aux since it's a 2005 model but I got a converter for it. It's great for transporting a lot of people, it can fit up to eight

Reliable and spacious Honda Pilot

2005 Honda Pilot LX

We love this vehicle! It is roomy and is great for our family. We have had some issues with the VSA system kicking on randomly and for no real reason. But for the most part it is very reliable. The third row it nice and it folds down so you have extra space for whatever you are doing be it shopping, camping, or moving.

2005 Honda Pilot With 120 Thousand Miles

2005 Honda Pilot LX

This is a 2005 model with around 120 thousand miles on it and it runs perfectly well. Honda as a brand is very reliable and trustworthy and I have not had any major issues with the car in any way. The only issues that come up with the car are small things related to the age of the vehicle but nothing major in any way.

- Dakota W

I like having an SUV that is roomy without the large size of an SUV or mileage.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

It is an older model so experiencing a few more smaller repairs ie leaks. Very reliable car and perfect for winters with AWD. I trade up from a minivan and it fits our needs perfectly and has a third row. We travel for sports and it has room enough for equipment. I would get another one without hesitation.

Amazing budget vehicle - Honda Pilot

2005 Honda Pilot LX

It's a nice car, very reliable. Gets pretty good gas mileage, my biggest complaint about it is that it has spots between the seats and center console where, if something gets dropped down there, it is a huge pain to get it back out. Other than that it's a great car for the price.

- Anthony C

Love my Honda Pilot and would purchase it again!

2005 Honda Pilot LX

My Honda Pilot has been the very best car I have ever owned. Very reliable and have never had any major issues. Excellent suspension and easy to drive. Love the comfort of the heated seats in the winter! Approaching 150,000 miles and expect at least 50,000 more!

- Patricia J

Great car and very reliable!

2005 Honda Pilot LX

It has lasted 10+ years, reliable and safe. With care the vehicle can last a long time. The car sits high so you can see the road. The car is excellent in snow and does not have any issues in snow storms or ice. Large trunk space and ability to hula large items.

- Sonya C

It has great mileage for a older car.

2005 Honda Pilot LX

It is okay I would say. It has a lot of mileage for a fairly old car. It has a lot of space for storage, and holds up well. The only problem is sometimes the brake makes weird noises, but me and my family have taken it to the dealership for fixing already.
