This problem is not just on the Ridgline but most all new vehicles. My complaint is the headrest that juts your head forward. This causes neck pain and avery uncomfortable ride. As for me I have a neck injury which makes these headrests unbareable even for 15 minutes. I have ordered older straight headrests and currently have turned the head rest around on both our ridgeline and our odyssey. This is one major change needed!

Definitely worth a second look for those that passed on the original design!
I recently decided to look in the midsize pickup range when replacing my older, full-size truck, and I am very pleased that I went with the ridgeline. I have always loved the comfort and ease of driving that Honda provides in all of its cars, but the original body styling of the ridgeline had previously kept me away. I did like the look of the 2019 model, and after a test drive, I was sold. It truly does drive like a comfortable car (not surprising since it is based on the pilot unibody chassis rather than a traditional body-on-frame pickup design), while also performing more than adequately for general farm chores and occasional off-road use. For those that like the utility of a pickup but do not need to routinely do heavy hauling or towing, the ridgeline makes for an excellent choice with loads of practical add-ons, such as the in-bed trunk, rear seats that fold completely out of the way for interior cargo, and all of the standard modern driving assists (adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, etc.). Super comfortable ride, the classic 'easy' Honda driving experience, and excellent mileage all combine to take the best of both worlds from car and truck and meld them into an unorthodox but brilliant package. Minor nitpicks would include a somewhat outdated interface on the center infotainment console, and an undercarriage that seems like it could have been raised an inch or two, but all in all no significant complaints.

True truck in a great package.
Great gas mileage. Great pick up and go. Only front wheel drive truck on the market. I love the trunk in the bed and the exterior lights. Interior is very comfortable on long journeys. The backup feature in reverse helps navigate, which is the first time I ever had a vehicle with this feature. Love the flip up rear seat for storage.

Great small truck you can buy.
Great, fun and very fast. Performance wise, it can go from 0 to 90 very quick. If you keep up with the maintenance of your truck it will not give you any trouble. It would be a great choice for anyone, old and young. The price is right and the options are see to believe.

Honda ridgeline comfort and reliable.
Honda ridgeline is an excellent truck for comfort. Easy to drive and gives you a smooth drive. It gives you very good gas mileage. All wheel drive is a plus and provides good towing. Dash and media display is excellent and on steering wheel controls are good. Especially like the right turn signal camera for lane changing.

Truck that rides like a car.
The Honda is roomy. The ridgeline is a truck that rides as smooth as a sedan. There is also hidden cargo space under the back of the truck bed. The sport model has some feature limits with the radio and mobile phone pairing. Mpg on the highway is a good 24 mpg as long as you drive reasonably.

It rides like an SUV not a truck. It has two features in the bed no other vehicles have.
Great ride. Lots of room. Great features not found on other vehicles.

Problems with Ridgeline
I have 41,000 miles on my 2018 Ridgeline and emission light came on. I immediately took to dealership and they said that I needed new injectors and would cost close to 1700 dollars. I refused the offer and filed a complaint with Honda America. Dealer said it was a problem with the direcy injectors that created carbon on the values. Apparently only supposed to use top tier gas. Honda America called be about the complaint and that they could help with some of the cost but not all. I want the entire cost covered because it is an engineering problem from Honda. Read complaints on Ridgeline forums about the issues people are having with emission codes. Honda America claims that they have not had any complaints on this issue, but were willing to cover part of the repair cost since out of warranty. I have bought 6 new Hondas since 2008 but will never buy another one. I am highly displeased with Honda. I have added an expensive additive to clean the engine and will see how that works. If light comes back on, bye bye Ridgeline, Hello Chevy.

Finally I got a truck!!
I’ve been thinking to get a truck since 5 years ago and finally got it!!! It’s not the true club that I really like but because since I was 12 years old I always drive a honda. 3 things that I’m not satisfied with this truck are first it’s not really a full size truck it’s like a SUV with a box in the back. Secondly, it’s just a couple ofweeks since I got it and I already have to bring it back to the dealer for twice it’s like every week I have to be home ng it back. First problem AWD just suddenly stop working while I’m driving and I can feel that it’s only the passenger side is working. So I brought it back and they said it’s the relay and they have to order the parts. Wait for couple of days. At the time I’m going back suddenly the air bag by the side of windshield by the passenger just pop out without no one touching. Do there I go bring it back then they said they have to order the clip. I don’t know what clip are they talking about but as far as I know there’s no clip at all for the airbag. And then just yesterday I was driving in the highway speeding at 125 km/hr suddenly the steering shake and the lights on the dashboard stating that my driver assist and coalitions not working. Is it just me or everyone have the same problem? I got my truck two weeks ago with 27 miles on it. As in 2 and 7

It is a large truck but not a good buy.
Seatbelt does not retract 2 recalls. Poor bumper overpriced all the special features are confusing to use as is the manual. It comes with faulty tires which the warranty never covers although it says it will. I would not recommend this truck to anyone.

Good handling & great storage.
The ridgeline has great handling. It is smooth and turns easily. There's plenty of space. The cab has an extra compartment with insulation and there's storage space under the back seats. It is a good truck and it is pretty safe. The gas tank is decently sized.

Pros from Owners

It is a Honda and rides great. Service providers are excellent and there is usually not problems with Hondas. Looks good too. Have passenger side camera for lane change. Interior is excellent and comfortable.

For a pickup truck, it has a unique shape in my opinion. Personally, I like the amount of storage pickup trucks have, but they can look kind of menacing at times. I like the design of the ridgeline, it has lots of storage and still has a classy look.

likeFilled Dave R.

The ridgeline drives smooth like an accord. Media display is excellent. Gas mileage good. Seats are comfortable. All wheel drive. Trunk in bed of truck. Liner. Right side camera for changing lanes. Tailgate opens two ways. Apple play with Bluetooth.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled David R.

The Ridgeline could have more horsepower. But would also like better gas mileage which is not really bad at this time. I would like to have an app on my phone to know that a window is down or for more security.

dislikeFilled Eliza E.

It is a bit bulky, our other car is smaller, and our garage is fairly small, so we have to be very careful parking the ridgeline so it does not bump into anything. I would also like if the back window opened up, since it is right up against the back seats, and if the black lines printed on the back window could be removed, at least in some areas.

dislikeFilled Dave R.

The ridgeline's pick up could be better. Having larger gas tank is needed. Back seat room could be a little larger. Wanted the cruise distance tracking to keep distance between vehicles while driving long trips.

I paid 37,500. I thought at the time of purchase I got a great price. Too many problems to make it a good value.
