Positive Owner Reviews

It gets pretty decent gas mileage, which is important to me because I drive a lot for work.
I love the size and the durability. I have had this car for over 6 years and it's still doing great!
accountCircle Madison W
Reliable and Great Gas Mileage
This car has excellent gas mileage. It is a very lightweight car and speeds up quickly. For a small car, it can go. It is my first car and makes driving a breeze. I commute to college and the gas mileage has been easy on the bank account. Totally recommend, very reliable car.
accountCircle Kaity W
Spacious and comfy, great value for price.
I love my car, especially the hatchback feature, it is insanely helpful when I need to fold the seats down and have a big open space to bring home furniture/decorations etc. It has great gas mileage and has not had any mechanical problems to date. The seats are still in good shape, no real wear and tear on them or the seatbelts even though I drive every single day. Overall super happy with the purchase and would definitely consider a Hyundai again.
accountCircle Ann R
It's an economical family car at a reasonable price.
The gas mileage is good. Small but seats 5 comfortably. The AC , heater and rear window defrost work quickly. Reasonable price.
accountCircle Diana D
Good performance. Great price.
I've had no problems with my Hyundai and will buy another when the time comes. Its comfortable to drive and to ride in. It performs well.
accountCircle Erica W
Very dependable and cost efficient
Very good on gas and reliable on long trips. The sound system is great. If you keep the maintenance up on the car it will last forever. The system is awesome in the car. The interior is carpet. The size is compact. But you get good mileage on the car. The parts for any repairs will not cost you an arm and leg.
accountCircle Catherine A
Amazing, I love my car.:)
The only issue I have had is having to replace my tires a couple times. Also, neither my nor my moms Hyundai came with a spare. Other than those two issues it is a great car! I get great gas mileage, and it is very resilient. The car had Bluetooth radio, nice tan interior and a big trunk.
accountCircle Tamara H
The heat and AC work wonderfully.
Like the way the seats fold down. Like the roominess. Do not like the way it seems like it has engine braking.

Negative Owner Reviews

accountCircle Ella S
I like the company and trust their cars.
This was an as is car from Florida, it has water damage and electrical damage. It back right passenger door has electrical issues and it did not come with cruise control. I know the company has good cars I just had to get a car and this was what I could afford at the time. I would buy a newer car from them.
accountCircle Bryant R
My car is not very enjoyable to drive.
It is very small, not a lot of room. The radio that comes with the car is not very good. There are not a lot of cup holder's in the car. And the one's that is does have, are very awkward, and can not fit really big cups. There seats in the back are also very cramped.
accountCircle Lindsey M
Too much money for what it's worth.
Very slow, acceleration is slow, small, engine light because gas cap won't stay on, high mileage, cosmetic damage, just not family friendly, not the latest technology, not that safe, paint peeling, staining on seats, no room, uncomfy, too much money for what it's worth.
accountCircle Taylor M
Hyundai accent not for the busy person.
The vehicle is great if you do not drive very often. I have had this car for 3 years and it is had a world of issues. The gas mileage was great at first but now it takes a half a tank to get about 80 miles. The battery has had to be replaced as well as brakes and o2 sensor. Not worth the money at all.
accountCircle Ellen H
It goes really fast that is about it.
Check engine light comes on if it is too hot outside. In the winter it does not start. Gas is great and the transmission slips from time to time. Ac is nice and heat works great. Music volume with bass is great. And it is a fast little race car. But I hate this car.
accountCircle Garrison S
Very small, high road noise.
The performance of the vehicle is good, but it is small and uncomfortable, although I am overweight, I have fit into other small cars with no problem. Other then the size issue, overall it is a good vehicle.
accountCircle Sr S
Nota car for distance traveling
Great on gas, however, the interior is extremely light, and is hard to keep clean, After a while, things start falling apart. (
accountCircle Tanner M
Hyundai accent: I get about 28 mpg, and I have never spent over $30 to fill it up.
I am too tall for it, my site is moved all the way back. No one can sit behind me and it essentially turns my already small car into a 3 seater from a 4 seater. It does get fantastic gas mileage and is very reliable. It has an auxiliary port as well as a USB port, and a 12 volt port.

A reliable car till now But....
No complaints with this car till now! 160000 kms without major repairs! Even the muffler has lasted 8 years! But body integrity not so great! Two parking lot bumps resulted in both bumpers sprung! Big body repair bills for that!

Love my 2013 Accent
Runs beautifully. No mechanical faults at all. My mechanic advised I get a Hyundai as he never had one come in with a fault. He said he only ever saw them for their annual services. I only got 20,000 km on the factory tyres before they needed replacing (I'm sure we used to get more back in the day). Battery has needed replacing once but no hint it was dying until it just stopped working after 7 years of use. The radio started having issues when 6 years old and had to be replaced at 8 years old (known issue with the software/hardware in the radio in the Accent). I had the windows tinted and paint protection. Paint is like new still. Window tinting has bubbles in the back window only. I would defnitely buy another one....if they were still around. I'm going to have to settle for a different model Hyundai when I finally pass my Accent on to my daughter next year.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Allison F.

The pros of my Hyundai Accent are that it is 100% dependable, on top of looking good. I like that it has an ECO option that gets me better gas mileage when it is activated. I also like that it shows me what my gas mileage is in real time.

likeFilled Jacob H.

The pros of this vehicle are that it gets great gas mileage, especially for college students. It also is very compact and smooth to drive. It takes about 20 - 25 dollars to fill the tank and that will usually go about 340-380 miles.

likeFilled Steph H.

Price point and safety of all features in car good stereo system and airbags and back seat things to keep my kid happy and out of hair on long trips soft eats good air conditioner and heater for the cold time need it to be affordable to upkeep since I am a single mom on low budget.

likeFilled Lauren S.

It is small and has a very large trunk. It is also very easy to drive and park. It has a good radio, XM, and a nice look to the interior and exterior. I also like that this car is compact and can fit in tight spots.

likeFilled Jessica M.

It is an affordable entry level option. It looks sleek for the cost and looks nice on the inside. It has good gas mileage compared to other cars. It is compact so parking in smaller spots and parallel parking is easy.

likeFilled Matthew R.

My vehicle has great fuel economy, I've been using this vehicle for 4 years and the MPG(Miles Per Gallon) hasn't changed at all. About 33 MPG/41-44 Highway. Being the base model of this vehicle it doesn't have all of the amazing accessories that is CAN have. But the base model is still amazing; Bluetooth capabilities, port for USB car charger as well as a built in USB port. Center console space is great with 2 cup holders and an additional square empty space for anything (I use mine for change). This speedometer display is nice and displays gas range in how many miles until empty. I usually but about $20-$25 in gas and that fills it up, top gas range I have seen is 415 and that's with forcing the gas in even after the nozzle clicks. The trunk is spacious and the spare tire is very well hidden under the trunk. I purchased this vehicle used and have not had any problems with it.

likeFilled Larisa B.

It is a super reliable car. I have gotten regular oil changes and that is all I have needed for the last 6 years. It gets great gas mileage. It is compact so makes city driving easier but has enough room to fit friends and family. The trunk is also roomy.

likeFilled Benjamin N.

The vehicle is relatively low maintenance and has held up well with regularly scheduled maintenance. The vehicle is safe. It gets good gas mileage as well. The cost is also a good value for those looking for a good safe vehicle on a low budget.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Allison F.

It cannot hold that much gas. It also does not have things like cruise control or Bluetooth. Hubcaps also tend to come off easily on this model. The mileage is pretty average. The headlights are VERY dim.

dislikeFilled Jacob H.

It can be a little rough to drive if driven out of a rough road as it is low to ground and you can feel every minor bump. If you do have an accident and damage the car, usually you will have to repair more than you are wanting so the car can run properly.

dislikeFilled Steph H.

Its breaking little by little and more and more I have to put more money into fixing things and I can't afford to keep doing things like that. Need a better car nothing else is really standing out it's a good car and I like it just getting worn down.

dislikeFilled Lauren S.

The cons are the horn, it is too soft. It also has very limited rear visibility due to a small rear window. It has had some transmission problems happen before 100,000 miles as well that cost $650. Yes.

dislikeFilled Jessica M.

It does not have some of the features that other higher level sedans have. It does not really have pickup. It is smaller so it does not have the same amount of storage space as other cars. No cruise control.

dislikeFilled Matthew R.

One major con of the base model of the Accent is that it does not have cruise control. Being that I drive a lot and usually for up to an hour and a half at a time, this really gets to me! A less intense con would be that only the driver has arm rests on both side. If you are the passenger you will only have an armrest on your right side(the door) and it feels awkward because you want to put your left arm somewhere but there is nowhere to put it!.

dislikeFilled Larisa B.

There are not any unique features about the car. There is not a backup camera or other modern features, including a touchscreen radio display. Additionally it did not come with a spare tire. The steering wheel also wore overtime.

dislikeFilled Benjamin N.

The interior can sometimes feel cramped and is not the best to take on vacations due to limited space. There have been a few issues with random dashboard lights that turn on and off but do not indicate genuine problems.
