I've been happy with it but am worried now. At around 140,000 km their light came on and it was in between oil changes, which I had donereligiously every 5 to 6 thousand km or so. Now Ihave to add a little of oil after every 1000 km. As far as the design of the car goes, I find it too low and consequently the back is too high causing blindspots. So far I've only had to replace tires, brakes and oil, as well as one of the shields under the car because they pick up heavy snow and then fall off eventually. I've had them tacked up several as well. So there are definitely pros and cons but I'll be switching to another vehicle maker for my next car.

No frills, but reliable car!
Very reliable! I have driven many miles on this car after buying it used and have had no major issues. It is not particularly sophisticated but it drives well and feels safe. The main expenses have been brake pads and alignment changes, but I am not sure if I really needed to make these purchases or whether I was being poorly advised. The stereo works just fine and has a USB port to plug in your own device.

Great little car, very reliable.
I have not encountered any issues with my vehicle so far. I have taken good care of it (regular maintenance), and it currently has 115,000 miles on it, with no signs of slowing down. Have not had to replace any major parts. It is a smaller car, perfect for those without children.

Great commuter car for work.
I have had my car for 3 years and I haven't come across any problems yet. It is good on gas. Has a USB and aux port. Sometimes the USB port will not work. The car is spacious. Ac and heat work well in the winter and summer. The seats are comfortable. And sound is loud.

Great starter vehicle for a single person!
From the perspective of the driver this car is awesome. I got the manual version (on purpose) but unfortunately that makes it the bottom line one so no Bluetooth and no armrest for the passenger. The backseat is not very accommodating for car seats especially not more than one. The trunk is very spacious though and the gas mileage is a dream.

Tiny reliable gem with great gas mileage and fun to drive.
I love my accent. It is very reliable and has good gas mileage. When traveling I find it very comfortable for long trips. I have had no issues with my car at all. I enjoy the small size of the vehicle. I live in a climate in the winter with snow. I able to travel easily in any weather.

Good value and reliable economy car.
Very good value. Hatchback offers a lot of room. Seating is good and durable. I like the armrest and console configuration. The sound quality of the radio is pretty good, but not super. Haven’t had any reliability issues. I will likely buy another Hyundai. The gas mileage is excellent. Cost of service through dealership is reasonable.

Great commuter or first car.
I have really enjoyed driving this vehicle. It is very good on gas and very reliable. It is a small vehicle but fits the family well enough. I have put 100k miles on it since I bought it and the only maintenance it is needed was tires and oil. I do miss some of the luxury and in dash features of similarly aged vehicles. But overall, I have no regrets on this purchase.

Good car, no bells and whistles.
The accent has decent pick up as far as acceleration as long as you do not push it too hard. It is a 2016 base model that did not have cruise control which is slightly annoying, by now you would think that is not considered “luxury”. No Bluetooth but if you have an apple device you are able to control music via the car using the USB port.

Comfortable, affordable, and peppy.
Love my car! Easy to drive and comfortable. Things are organized within reach and the blind spots are not as large in some vehicles I have driven; the sides by the windshield are probably the most challenging blind spot, especially on the driver side, so you have to remember to “rock and roll” in case there are any pedestrians. I also like that the car is sleek and peppy; it does not feel like you are driving a boat. It maneuvers well. There is also a downshift feature that is especially useful for driving in snow or slick roads. One thing I do not like is how low the front bumper is—if you are in a really snowy area, you are more likely to get stuck.

Nice little car for day to day travel.
It is an amazing little car. I have had it for years and it is always run great. The interior is nice and the backseat has reclining seats to make up for the lack of legroom. It only has 2 cup holders but has door panels that can fit bottled water. The trunk is a really big size. The car is made so the trunk is almost invisible and you would be surprised how many large duffle bags I have fit in there (7).

2016 Hyundai Accent review
The 2016 Hyundai Accent is a reliable car, and very fuel efficient. The downside is the acceleration is horrible, and does not do well on hills. The base model also doesn't come with cruise control nor does it come with any apple play / android compatibility.

A+ for the Hyundai accent!
I have been, for the most part, nothing but happy with my 2016 Hyundai accent. I got in the “misty beige” which is very pretty - it has a slight sparkle to it! I have beige fabric interior and it has stayed very clean in the 4 years I have had the vehicle. I even lucked out with a CD player! The car is very comfortable and extremely roomy for a small car. My only significant complaint about the vehicle is how low to the ground it is. If you pull too far into a parking spot and hit the concrete stopper, it will get stuck under your car and more than likely pull the front bumper slightly off. Be careful with this. The front bumper is attached with plastic pieces that, if broken, cannot be replaced unless you replace the entire bumper.

Hyundai accent - great first car!
My car is a very basic small sized car. This is a great first car but would be too small for a family. I have had no real issues with this car besides the gas cap will sometimes come slightly loose causing the gas cap light to come on the dash. This car is very reliable as I have used it to commute 60+ miles per day for 2.5 years. I have never had any performance issues and it still runs like the first day I bought it. I am happy with my car but will need to upgrade to a larger vehicle in order to have enough room for a family.

Decent little car. It is a bargain.
This car is very easy to drive, it handles well and once going, it has a lot of pep. However when climbing hills it sometimes feels as if it needs help being pushed. It also sits very low to the ground. I wish that it sat higher. It is a good value for the budget conscious.

I purchased this car for my first vehicle. Overall I am very happy with this being my first vehicle. It is very good with gas and I find it easy to clean and maintain. It is just a car, but that is a good thing.
My Hyundai is a solid, reliable little car. There's nothing fancy to it, but it has all the basics that you need to get you from place to place. It has had some slight electrical issues, but other than that, nothing has broken down. I especially love being able to see my gas broken down into the range I have left. It makes me more comfortable and honestly has probably improved my gassing-up habits.

The accent is great for a first time buyer. It has really great gas mileage and is very accommodating for a short person like myself. It is not as high tech as a lot of newer model vehicles but that also means less computer problems and issues. Great trunk space and better gas mileage.
My main problem is that it has a small backseat so my friends will not fit back there but there is space to sit if you are under 5 feet tall. It has a great trunk space for shopping or traveling. It gets great gas mileage. My model does not have an option for cruise control so that is probably the worst thing about it.

Perfect size for everyone.
I love my Hyundai accent!! It is the perfect size for everything. . . Even loaded up a boxed wheelchair in the back seat. It is very economical on gas. I love that my car is small but also big enough for me and helps me get around.
I love my car, it is the first car I got myself when getting out of high school. The car gets me to places I need, it is also very good in gas. I love driving around and it's amazing. It's also a small but big enough car for a small family or single person. The only things I do not like are when making turns and the front bottom of car scrapes against the ground and especially on freeway when driving fast the tiny rocks pick up from the ground and scrape the side of car because I do not have any guard protection on the bottom of car.

Fantastic commuter car well worth the money.
I found this car to be very reliable comfortable on shorter trips but gets a little uncomfortable on longer trips than a few hours. You would need to take breaks to stretch every few hours it is great on gas, cold ac, handles well, low cost to maintain, tires were inexpensive to purchase, I would purchase again for sure.

The gas mileage is the best part.
It gets really good gas mileage. And surprisingly the trunk space is a lot. But we've had a few engine problems. Which has included needing a whole new motor! So I am not sure about the reliability of it. And if you are a family do not buy unless you only have one kid. We are expecting our 2nd now and the back seat is definitely not big enough for 2 car seats plus be able to put anyone else back there.

Amazing gas mileage, great daily driver.
So far there haven't been any problems. Smaller car, great gas mileage, however I wouldn't recommend for long trips as the seats are not the most comfortable. However it is a great daily driver. So far I have put 80000 miles on the vehicle with no mechanical issues. Just regular maintenance.

Great vehicle for a first car, not the dream car.
Affordable to pay for repairs but can hear everything that hits the car outside and the material is flimsy. It does not go super fast however, I have rarely had any maintenance issues with it. Currently at 85,000 miles and only have had to pay for minor repairs.

The Hyundai Accent is a great car. It is small enough that it is easy to handle, but has a significant amount of space inside and a large trunk. My car is really good on gas! It does not have many extras no back up camera or touch screen but it was my first car that I bought on my own and I really like it! I haven’t had any issues with it. 2016 Hyundai Accent- great gas mileage!
As a college student with a commute I appreciate the really good gas mileage. I have put just over 50,000 miles on this car since purchasing about 4 years ago and she's running like a champ. I opted for the slightly more expensive version with some of the features I was wanting such as Bluetooth, hands free calling, power windows, cruise control, etc. The one thing I wish the car had come with is a spare tire. It does come with a small air compressor/sealing kit which saved me when I had a flat tire, but I feel a spare tire would have been a safer option with as bad as my tire was. Nonetheless it did the job and got enough air in my tire to get it somewhere where I could have the tire replaced.

The only real problems have been minor things like a flat tire, oil change, new windshield wipers, etc. It is extremely comfortable and surprisingly spacious. It comes with an arm rest for the driver, which has been extremely efficient. It drives very smoothly. The biggest downfall to this car I would say is it does not come with a back camera to see when you reverse, but other than that it is a great car.

Easy to drive but easy to slide.
I really like the fuel efficiency and the handling of the car! The rear seats do not fold flat like those of similar models which limits the space and the narrow tires slide easily when the road is wet. This car suits my needs as a commuter on a budget but it is not built to last.

Even without using eco-mode the mpg is fantastic.
It takes a bit of effort for the car to reach a desired speed. However, this car is reliable and safe. When driving this car, it is easy to stay in my lane and keep up with the flow of traffic. I can travel 133 miles (on a full tank of gas) and get to my destination with half a tank of gas left.

I like that is has a drop down box for my glasses.
This car has a 1.9 liter engine, it barely gets up small hills unless I floor it a mile before I get there. It gets great gas mileage, 40 mph highway, 30 mph city. The seats are very uncomfortable and makes it hard for long drives. Problems are that it is noisy, road noise, rattles, etc. I owned an Accent before and this one I do not like at all.

The car works for what I bought it for however I outgrew it rather quickly. It didn't come with cruise control which I didn't even think to look for. No Bluetooth and it is just a small car. I travel a lot so the gas mileage is ok but it is so small it is hard to be comfortable.

Great gas mileage and I can usually fill up for 20 dollars every 1.5 weeks
I love my car. The only problem I have is the Blind spots. It's difficult to make sure there's no cars in the way when moving to another lane. It's comfortable. The car hasn't had any problems since I've had it. I like how loud the radio gets. It's a reliable car that gets me where I need to go and I am never worried that it won't be able to. It also doesn't take much to fill up on gas which is a plus

I love my Hyundai accent se hatchback 2016. At first I didn't like it but then I fell in love with it. I like that it's good on gas. The tires are cheap to replace. I always worry about not having enough room for groceries and other things I decide I will buy. Since its a hatch back I just let the seats down and I have loads of space. It drives like a dream.

The car itself is not that big but the trunk is unbelievably huge!
I have had my Hyundai accent since the year it came out. I haven't had an issue with it yet besides maybe having low tire pressure around winter time. It has never broken down on me. Spacious white 2016 Hyundai accent.
The 2016 Hyundai accent is a very nice vehicle, I have done all of the repairs so far by myself, so repairs don't cost an arm and a leg and they are easily done. It's got pretty decent gas mileage, even though I got the basic model so I have no cruise control. The cab is spacious although the seats aren't exactly comfortable for long road trips. The trunk has quite a bit more room than what it looks like from the outside, I was able to fit two weeks worth of camping gear inside. The front wheel drive does pretty well in mud, snow, and sand. Honestly the only problem I've had since I got it over a year ago is the seats aren't very comfortable, and they stain very easily (even with water) overall it's a good vehicle, and I'd recommend buying it to others.

Hyundai accent: simple comfort.
My Hyundai accent is a sturdy, comfortable car. As a 5'0 female its seat adjustment options were a huge selling point for me. It was relatively cheap to purchase and has needed very little care other than regular maintenance. Gas mileage is great. The cabin is a bit loud, but if you are looking for a simple, inexpensive car it is exactly what you would want.

My hatchback and why I enjoy it.
My car is a hatchback with it I do my shopping with ease knowing that it will carry whatever I need. It is easy to drive. The only problem that I see is that it is low to the ground and that makes it a little hard to get. Other than that I have never had a problem with my car. We enjoy it.

This vehicle is very affordable and comfortable. Oil change is very cheap, and it has a lot of incentives that other cars do not offer. The monthly payment is very low as the insurance went down as well. I feel very pleased with this purchase. This car does not spend a lot of gas and I feel comfortable making long trips. It is reliable. I made a smart purchase when I decided to go for a Hyundai.

Well made car for the cheapest price.
My car has given me very few issues other than regular maintenance with almost 150k miles. I have also been in a few wrecks and it has held up. The only wear is the air conditioning has a 10 percent chance to stop blowing on long rides. The mechanics is build well. The price when bought new was reasonable. I love it.

Reliable and great gas mileage.
Great gas mileage, I average around 40 miles to the gallon. I wish that the car was not so loud on the highway and that the suspension was smoother when driving on a bumpy road. Overall, a very reliable car that I will have for many years to come. Recommend to first time auto buyers that have a budget.

Hatchback vehicle with lots of trunk space! Perfect for road trips.
Very reliable vehicle with absolutely no problems in the four years owned. Not the most comfortable for back seat passengers due to lack of cabin room. Can feel somewhat unsafe when driving on freeways and near larger vehicles due to the car being so low to ground.

More spacious inside than you'd think!
I absolutely love my car. The very first thing we noticed was how spacious it felt inside compared to the size of the actual vehicle overall, which is relatively small. If you fold down the back seats, it opens up everything in the back so you have plenty of room for hauling groceries, or equipment ' my fiance is a musician and we never had issues with making room for his guitars, amps, gear, and all of that. It is not large enough to hold large furniture items, most of the everyday stuff is just fine. Road trips, same thing... Plenty of room for luggage and stuff. The wheelbase is a little small, so you tend to feel bumps in the road a bit more than you would with a luxury car. Sometimes after running the air conditioning a few times, we notice a vinegar smell ' other Hyundai users online have reported this as well. I think it is caused by condensation in the system. It can be easily remedied by running the fan. We live in the Midwest; it does not do so great in the winter time when the roads are snowy, it is not all-wheel drive and it is pretty lightweight so it is harder to get around in some winter weather but overall it has been reliable, economical, and I am extremely happy with this car. It is an excellent value.

If you are looking for a reliable budget friendly car.
My accent is very reliable. I purchased it when my old car was constantly breaking down and in the shop so I needed something I could depend on. I bought the accent new 4 years ago and have not had to put any money into accept routine maintain. The features are very basic (I do not have e control or Bluetooth) and it's a compact space so not ideal for passengers on long trips - but it does what I need!

Economical sedan with high reliability.
Problems - none. Performance - good gas mileage, decent acceleration, road noise slightly higher than others, but not bad. Reliability - excellent, this thing is a tank. Comfort - pretty good, seats are a bit low and hard. Features - well equipped considering the price, no backup camera, decent sound system.

This grey 2016 Hyundai accent is an excellent model.
My 2016 Hyundai accent has been an extremely reliable car. I had no issues whatsoever even when I was late to change the oil. The trunk has more room than appearances suggest and the back seating is surprisingly luxurious in leg space. My blind spots are sufficiently covered by the mirrors.

Perfectly acceptable vehicle.
There are some faulty body panels, a few, and the car is kind of loud moving down the road and picking up and throwing around small pieces of road debris. Otherwise a perfectly acceptable car. I like the car otherwise, though it is extremely basic when I have been used to luxury cars.

Smooth, surprisingly low riding scrapes on hills @drive ins and steep speed bumps.
I enjoy the airflow of the side vents because they reach the passengers in the back seats. I hate that the dashboard lights and radio display lights do not have a dimmer feature. It glares back into our eyes when we go to the drive in. The car is off while the battery and radio is still on, and the dash lights are so brutal to the movie experience. I wish there was a Bluetooth feature to connect my phone music to the radio. Overall the car drives fine. Gets decent mileage when in eco-mode.

Basic white hatchback with an eco feature to save gas.
I think the vehicle runs well but the body work / materials seems cheap. I noticed that a few lights on the dashboard have came on and will not go off. I have been told that this is not a sensor issue, so maybe this is an issue with the manufacturer.

Economy Hyundai Accent good on gas horrible in snow stereo system is awesome
No problems with the vehicle, performs pretty good, reliable in good or rainy weather, horrible in snow, best features is satellite radio and Bluetooth. Wish there was an extra electrical outlet. Wish the car came with a spare tire instead of a pump and fix a flat. Also noticed that it is kind of sluggish to get up to speed since the vehicle was bought.

My accent gets great fuel efficiency!
I bought my accent while I was still working for fuel efficiency. It has surpassed my expectations! It is comfortable and I can zip in and out of parking spots better than if I was in a bigger vehicle. The only thing I don't like is the road noise. It gets a little loud at times.

A real review on Hyundai Accent.
I have never had any kind of problems with my 2016 Hyundai Accent. I have the basic sedan model. It is dark grey. I was offered tinted windows so it looks really sleek. If you have a family though it probably is not a good car to get. It is a smaller car and does not have a lot of space for more than four people in your family. It has great gas mileage. It only cost me $120 in gas to get from Austin Texas to Washington dc. It has never broken down on me and I have had it for two years now. I have traveled all over the country in this car over that period of time and there is no wear and tear and it is still driving strong. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone trying to buy a small, cute, inexpensive car. It does not cost a lot to fix any problems on the car. I have never had to fix any issues or replace anything but I did my research before purchasing the car and the repairs are minimal financially.

Analyze the maintenance before you purchase a car.
None. It is reliable. However, it does not have the storage I want and now need. I also have to get frequent oil changes which is very expensive. I would prefer a vehicle that is easier to maintain. Because this vehicle requires and synthetic oil, I always have to go to Jiffy Lube instead of replacing it myself. In the future I would choose a car that is more user-friendly and has a higher rating on safety.

It is a small car. It is really only good for 2 people. Not much leg room in back seat.
I love the gas mileage of that the car gets. I do not like the size of the car. The car has been dependable so far.

It's sleek and has a pretty color.
It's small but drives well. We can only fit one car seat in the back but have two kids. Not a super family friendly car. My husband likes the color of the car. It's his car. He likes that its gas efficient. He likes that it doesn't cost much to fill the tank up.

Why you should buy this car, that has great mileage
The Hyundai accent I have is outstanding, it is great on mileage, it has lots of space, but it's not obnoxiously large. It shifts gears smoothly, your transmission is not a regular transmission, it is placed underneath the motor and is reachable from underneath the car. Its checked during service appointments. The one thing I had not made sure happened that I didn't make sure I had cruise control! The car has a built in sound system.

My car has no issues and has been very reliable
I love my car. I don't have issues with it, but that being said I have only had this car for about a year. It used to be a rental car so it does have a strange smell to it but that's not the makers fault. It has been reliable and gets me to where I need to go. The air conditioning works very well and as adjustable steering wheel at many angles and good seating.

Hyundai accent: it is okay!
It's a pretty nice car. I wish it had a back up camera. But it is a hatchback so there's visibility enough in the back. I really enjoy the SiriusXM radio that came with it. I also really enjoy that unlike my partner’s newer car, it still has a CD player because I collect CD’s and have a lot of them that I haven't put onto my iTunes yet. It's fairly reliable and gets me from place to place in a safe and timely manner. It handles well. It unfortunately has an issue with the alert lights. The sensitivity on the tire pressure alerts is offset and no matter how much air I put in my tires the light has not gone off yet. It is also smaller than I remember it being from the outside. Its built like an SUV but is really just a compact car with a hatchback so I always think it's going to be taller than it is, having grown up with SUV’s, being a middle-class white millennial.
