Age before beauty. Why go new when you can have old and reliable.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

My car is a 2005 Hyundai Elantra and it has held up great over time. Although it is getting to a point where I should start looking at another car it is still holding up. The car has great visibility through the back and allows you to clearly see your surroundings with few blind spots. This car although being an older model has quite a bit of leg room in the front and the back. Other than an emission leak the car doesn't need much maintenance other than oil replacements and tune ups. The car has over 250000 miles on it and still runs very smooth.

Amazing car for the money.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

I have had this vehicle for 14 years and have had no major problems with it. I am the only owner so I know everything about it. I had it when I was single and now I have a ten year old child. It has worked extremely well for my family. Perfect amount of space. Amazing gas mileage. It has been on many trips. Never had any issues with luggage fitting. When this car can no longer run I plan on buying a new Hyundai Elantra. I love the new body styles as well. I highly recommend this vehicle.

Elantra - the perfect choice.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

My Hyundai Elantra is comfortable, reliable and the perfect size for me. It seats 4 and the trunk is very roomy. It rides smoothly. It has a sunroof which is ideal in the spring. It has air conditioning which is exactly what I want during the summer months. In the 14 years that I have had the car, I have had minimal issues with it. Of course, the brakes needed to be replaced a couple times as well as the tires which I expect with any vehicle. I truly love my car and think you would too.

Dependable and comfortable

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

Very comfortable vehicle to drive, easy on fuel, mechanically sound. Currently have over 200,000 miles and going strong. Have not had any major issues with vehicle, easy to make repairs. Has power windows, automatic transmission, ABS, AC, power steering, power brakes. I am a larger male and seats are very comfortable for a smaller car making long trips very pleasurable. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone considering a vehicle purchase.

My great on gas get you around Hyundai Elantra.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

I purchased my car used, which can sometimes be a problem. When purchasing I did notice some rust issues but, as time passed and I owned the car for longer I started to realize the rust issue was a much bigger problem than just the exterior. I do appreciate the gas mileage I get in my 05 Elantra, it is a manual which gets annoying at times but over all this vehicle has been reliable for minus fixing the few rusted parts.

Hyundai Elantra practical car for the practical person.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

Well my car is 14 years old no discernible problem to be honest. Just do the routine maintenance and it should run just fine. If I could change anything I would like to have better gas mileage. It is not bad by any stretch of the imagination but it is 24 miles to the gallon city in like 29 highway. I'd like it to be a little bit higher but for the age of the car I do not think that is too bad.

Review of the 05 Hyundai Elantra.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

2005 Hyundai Elantra is very comfortable smooth ride. At around 87000 miles it seems like the thermostat may be stuck open causing the heater to be intermittent. Hot when driving, cool when stopped. But, since it is coming on summertime I will not change it. The exhaust system also seems to need work as I can hear it start to sound louder. Overall, decent reliable family car.

Hyundai Elantra: Made To Last

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

Hyundai Elantra are made to last. I have had this Elantra for almost five years and have had little to no mechanic bills excluding accidents that I have been in that required repairs. I am convinced that this car could survive a nuclear war! Not only is this car virtually indestructible, but replacement parts are affordable and incredibly easy to come by.

Small, affordable and reliable

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

I bought this car used with about 80k on it. I have had it for about a month so far and haven't had any major issues. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Hyundai had come a long way with the quality and durability of their cars. It also helps that is smaller and therefore easier to park and is a perfect first car and has served me well.

- J G

It's a great little work car.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

I enjoy my lil Elantra... it has been getting me to work for over a year now. The car is really decent on gas mileage. A few issues with wearing down the brakes though, but I recommend it to use as a great work car for its age. Just got to do your basic maintenance like you do for all cars and it should take care of you.

Perfect commute car for daily tasks.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

My cars ability is really good. It has a decent amount of miles for how old the car is. It is overall very good looking and comfortable. The features it has is a good radio system and good powered windows and s good size trunk. I haven't had any problems with it recently it has really good gas mileage.

- Breanna T

It has a sunroof and the radio is loud.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

It is just really small and having kid it is kind of tight, but it gets up place to place. The back seat is kind of small but it has a decent size trunk. Also the gas mileage isn't the greatest. I have not had any issues with it. I have not had to put hardly any money into it so that is very nice.

- Sami P

has a nice radio in it rather than the one it came with

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

It is a white Hyundai Elantra, 2005. Has a few rust spots near the tires from road salt. Has a few minor tiny dents on the hood. There are no major scratches anywhere. Has only around 101,000 miles on it. Just got brand new front struts, back ones were done last 2 years ago. Newer tires.

- Derek R

It's small but roomie. Doesn't have anything too fancy but a simple var.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

I had it for 5 months and the most I had to do was the axle. Runs good and very quiet. I wish the cup holders were in a better place but that's about it. No leather but I like that but it doesn't have fancy features like Bluetooth and I haven't figured out how to use the cruise control.

- Tia W

Reliable car: the car has great mileage and has a smooth ride.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

It's looked outdated since I bought it in 2011. The gas chamber has been having trouble accepting gas.. will only fill up a couple dollars worth until I have to wait for it to accept more. I like the sensitivity of gas and brakes. It has good mileage. Been a good vehicle to me.

- Kate Z

This vehicle has great gas mileage.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

This vehicle is great on gas mileage and very reliable. However if you are looking for a fast car, it is not your type. It takes forever to accelerate and get up to speed. It is fairly comfortable as well. It is best feature is the gas mileage. I get about 35 miles per gallon.

- Brandon P

If you are looking for an old school car I would definitely recommend a this car

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

It runs great no problems great on miles and gas. It has a 4 door which is a lot better than 2 door. It fits a lot of things in the trunk considering the car is not big in size. The seats are very comfortable and the car is well made considering it is an older model.

Basic Car, Only Worth A Basic Amount Of Cash

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

Shortly after we got this car last year we had a major issue and ended up having to spend $700 to fix it. The air conditioning doesn't work and the windows go down so slow. There is no features: CD player, heated seats, etc and it is a super basic vehicle all around.

- Andrea W

Retro yet up to date safety features with good fuel efficiency.

2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS

The vehicle has good fuel efficiency, drives nicely, plenty of room for my kids and is cute. I like that it has an old school tape deck in it, but also has safety features like side airbags and hooks for attaching my son's car seat. Overall a great little car!
