Affordable, reliable, and a long lasting first car to own.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

I have owned this car for 11 years and have not had any serious/significant problems. Other than general repairs for wear and tear, it has been extremely reliable. I have 154,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. Comfort is decent for the price. It handles well in the snow and ice. The shape of the trunk could be better- due to the curved edges of the opening to the backseat, there is less room for loading large items with the back seats flat. The space within the trunk itself is good though. The beige material covering the seats is not forgiving to stains- even spilled water will leave a mark when it dries. Overall I highly recommend this as an affordable car that you will get a lot of miles out of.

Very reliable, minor problems but not too much fixing.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

It is very comfortable. It has nice relaxing seats, engine sometimes sounds shaky too much. Interior engine problems occur sometimes. Under car protection is easily hurt from the rain while driving in the rain. The engine does sound soft. The brakes have been fixed and work as best as they ever have. Very reliable and safe to drive. It is not loud, it does not run too fast but runs pretty great. Mirrors had to be replaced as they weren't working to turn left or right as up and down.

A Wonderful Auto Purchase

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

I purchased my Elantra in 2008 brand new, It is incredibly reliable. The only repairs I have made in all these years is to buy a new battery twice and the motor for the window on the driver's side I just had replaced. Of course I have had to maintain the usual things like tires and maintain it with oil change, lube and filters approximately 6 - 9 months. It has been an excellent purchase for me and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great car but just be attentive to hydration details.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

It is a great car, and I have had it for about 7 years now. But the problem I am having with my car is that it is frequently needs coolant, like its intake is so much. I just have a lot of problems with keeping the car hydrated. So make sure your constantly checking to see it coolant is needed. Other than that, the car is great. There's surprisingly some extra room on the inside, and it is very great on gas.

Nothing but good experiences with Hyundai.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

My car is at 154,900 miles and running perfectly. I have not had any major repairs needed at any point regarding the engine. The car still drives smoothly, and I still receive great gas mileage to this day (about 23-28 miles per gallon city driving, more via highway). I plan to drive this car until it runs no more. No need for a car payment when my car is in the shape that it is in at 10 years old.

A cheap, reliable commuter that you won't regret

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

It's lasted for 11 years with few problems, it's comfortable and makes for a nice commuter. It's cheap to upkeep, it not the flashiest, sexiest car, but it gets you from a to b with few complaints. I plan to drive it until it dies, which could be another 10 years. There's not much else to say, get one if you want a simple, cheap easy to maintain vehicle.

Hyundai Elantra Crushing reviews

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

The car is made to last, the door handles came off of two doors over time but other than that it is a good car. I have 126,00 miles on my car and it's still running smooth. I feel confident this car will be around for several more years. It's reliable and I take good care of it by having the oil changed every 3 months

A great vehicle that's nice and gets me where I need to be

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

It is reliable and comfortable. I love how spacious it is and it has a lot of room in the trunk for traveling. My handle did fall off fairly quick but was repaired easily. There is an aux which was important to me and it has a great radio. You get a lot of miles to a gallon it's very fuel efficient.

2008 Hyundai Elantra best vehicle I've ever owned

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

dependable. Aside from routine maintenance, no major issues. MPG is a near constant 27, stop and go and highway combined. Windshield wiper pump failed about year 5, seems to be unrepairable even with pump replacement. Passenger side front door doesn't shut enough to deactivate door ajar idiot light.

Stylish, reliable, and efficient.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

It's a good vehicle, reliable, and good mpg! I take it to work, school, and traveling on weekends and I have rarely ever had a problem. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anymore looking for a four door Sedan that will get you to where you need to go and looks good in the process!

Hyundai Elantra - most reliable vehicle you can purchase.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

I have had absolutely no issues with my vehicle. Aside from two recalls, which were covered by the manufacturer, I am only had oil changes, regular maintenance and new breaks. 150,000 plus miles and still going strong. I'd highly recommend an Elantra for its durability and reliability.

Summary of my car: Elantra.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

My vehicle is very reliable and has barely had any major issues since I bought it. I would like the features to be updated more to be able to seamlessly connect my electronics. The seats are comfortable and the gas mileage on the car does last awhile before needing to refill.

Transmission but good car

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

Great car. The transmission did break but it was over 10 years after the make. It cost 3k to fix but it was worth it. Never had any terrible trouble with the car. It's a great first car for drivers and I would definitely recommend. Plus it's a nice looking car

Car with not working sunroof.

2008 Hyundai Elantra SE

Gets good gas mileage, it is had a few problems because of the mileage. Dependable, good fuel efficiency low maintenance costs. Not a lot of electronics in it so less things that can break. Sunroof stopped working after about 3 years too expensive to replace.
