Good mileage, poor room for car seats.
I have not had many issues with this car. Just a few recalls that have had to been fixed (which Hyundai pays for). All other issues have been regular maintenance type things (brakes, spark plugs etc). The car is comfy and roomy. Although it is very hard to fit my newborn's seat in the rear facing position.

My silver 2010 Hyundai Elantra.
It is a really nice car with plenty of additions. It is small which is perfect for me and makes it easy for me to handle on the road. I like that the seats are not leather, and it has a nice big spacious trunk. I haven't had any serious problems with the car that do not come with the natural aging of cars.

Even though it moves all over the road, it can go pretty fast.
While driving this vehicle it feels like you are driving a go-cart. This is not a good thing, it feels like the vehicle moves all over the road all the time. There have been many issues with my steering column. The plastic on the inside door handles also peels off every now and then.

Eco friendly car for your everyday needs. Comfortable, sporty and reliable!
I have a silver Hyundai Elantra, the car is amazing and perfect for a new driver or experienced. The car is very gas friendly, I get 35/40 miles per gallon and also has an eco function. Very reliable, never broke down and a good security system. Overall id buy this car 10/10.

Love my vehicle! Would definitely recommend being that it is low maintenance!
My 2010 Hyundai Elantra is my first car and I have had it since 2016. The vehicle was a pre-owner and it was well taken care of. The exterior and interior was clean and everything is up to date. I have had no issues with anything other than now my aux is a bit beat up. Either way though that is an easy fix.

It is a black car with silver rims.
My car is not that old and has less than 200,000 miles on it yet it breaks down all the time and has many engine issues. The oil change light comes on a lot as well and I feel like I am changing it way more than I should be. On top of all of that, the breaks are decent.

My favorite part about my car is the gas mileage.
The 2010 Hyundai Elantra is reliable, good on gas, and small. Since purchased I have a lot of issues with it, but once it was all fixed, it is been a good car. It is a good vehicle if you do not haul a lot of stuff, or if you like driving for long periods of times!

2010 Hyundai Elantra is a good car that has not cost a lot of money to fix.
My car is 10 years old and I have owned it for almost 5 years. There have been no major issues with my car. It still drives pretty smooth. Features are simple. The car is good on gas (eco feature). Not your newest model car, still has a CD player but there's also an aux plugin.

Why I love my 2010 Hyundai!
The Hyundai is reliable and drives very nicely. Good family car with lots of trunk space. Good gas mileage and comfortable interior. Handles speed well on the highway. Have had some trouble with the brakes which I have had to replace twice. My teenager loves driving it!

The bass in the original speaks has been my favorite part on this car.
Mostly the cosmetics like the wrapping on the inside handles come off. The paint faded really quickly but other than that the car has been great. I have had it for 10 years and it still a car I rely on to get me back and forth to work. It does need an alignment and that is it.

My Hyundai Elantra touring has done me well.
My Hyundai Elantra touring has been very reliable over the last 2.5 years. I have taken it on many road trips over 10 hours away without any issues. My only problem is the driver's seat heat does not work. I drove this car 1 hour each way for 1.5 years without any complications. The gas mileage has worsened with age, I believe this is partly due to the tires constantly become flat as I live in an area with lots of potholes. I have had minimal service done to this vehicle.

I am so excited and so happy because I have a lot of information. My vehicle had a problem with the power steering. I have tried to fix in dealership because it was in recall and after they checked my vehicle they charged me $1200 to fix the power steering.

Durability of my Hyundai Elantra 2010.
The 2010 Hyundai is a very decent and efficient car. It does not give any major problems. It is small in size so it is easy to park however, the interior is cramped. Major downsize is no Bluetooth, aux cord is the only option for the phone. Overall, it is a very durable vehicle for the cost.

Hyundai Elantra is very reliable and efficient. Just nothing exciting about it.
Right back door does not work. Window wipers do not work. Old boring design. The acceleration is not what I want out of a vehicle. I would like my car to have better mileage. Also it hurts the earth. I will want a hybrid as my next car. The paint is okay though and it is unreliable.

Used Hyundai Elantra- no major issues.
Battery is not well, the hood is shifted and the tires need filling. No issues with engine. The car was used by a previous family member. Lights seem dim at night, but high beams are bright. Heating can be slow. Overall, no major problems with my car. It is just old for me, but still gets me to places.

A very reliable car, with one fixable exception.
My 2010 Hyundai Elantra has been very reliable since I purchased it new in 2009. The only real problem I have had is that it did not perform as well as it should on snow and ice when I had to pull into or out of an inclined driveway, even if the incline was fairly slight. I remedied this by getting slightly wider tires than recommended, and have not had that problem since.

Good aspects of this car.
Love this car. Plenty of room for my needs. Very reliable with no mechanical problems in all the time I have owned it. Very good gas mileage with both city and highway driving. Would recommend this vehicle for anyone looking for a good car for their everyday driving needs.

Well constructed reliability.
My Hyundai Elantra has been very low maintenance. It has been very reliable - only having to replace brakes, tires and battery. It is comfortable inside. I would like a little more room inside - but I am tall and statuesque. For most people the space would be absolutely ideal! I could not have asked for a better car.

2010 Hyundai Elantra was my favorite car.
The car is really fun to drive and fits my body really well. I have so much fun zipping around the city it feels like I am driving a little sports car. It's got great gas mileage and is very comfortable to drive. I highly recommend getting one of these cars especially if you have kids.

Mechanically, I have not had any problems with the car. The only issue I have had is an issues with door handles breaking off. It took Hyundai and the dealer 4 months to decide to fix it.

Safe vehicle with lots of space.
Safety, has plenty of airbags. Comfortable and roomy. Lots of space. The gas mileage is great. Have been to many states and don't spend a lot of money for gas. Have had no serious issues out of the car that needed to be fixed for it to run properly. Overall I give the Hyundai an A+.

Standard 5 gear. 33 miles per gallon.
Great 5 gear standard that is over 10. Years old and run fantastic! The shifting seems to be a little slow, but knock that up to the cars actual acceleration. I enjoy the fact that there is plenty of trunk space. It gets 28 street and 33 highway mpg. There is plenty of interior space to fit up to five people.

Love my 2010 Hyundai Elantra. It has been reliable for the past 7 years and I hope for at least another 10. The Hyundai Elantra as of now is a good car to buy in the market.
Hyundai Elantra has good commuter with decent power, maneuverability, good fuel, economy rating and based on the vehicle condition, mileage: it has a smooth ride in general, and it is composed on winding roads. Inside, this compact car looks good and offers a nice amount of passenger space. Cargo room is good for the class, and there are plenty of available tech features, most of which are easy to use.

The best detail would be its dependability.
Nothing really. I think the car has worked well with just average maintenance. I had to replace the brakes a while back. I have to replace the tires but that is just from normal wear and tear of the car. I traveled through Utah a lot not really anymore but the car was awesome for that.

2010 Hyundai Elantra blue still in good shape.
The car gets great gas mileage, 30+ mpg even in the city. It has held up fairly well for the ten years it has been in my family. We've put about 150,000 miles on it and it still runs fine. Nothing has broken or needed immediate fixing, most of the work on the vehicle has been from normal wear and tear.

Cheaply made, but not cheaply paid.
The issues with this car are more related to aesthetics. The silver coating on the door handles has all peeled off, revealing the cheap plastic white door handles (and the silver coating is like a thick plastic. It is sharp!)The rubber that around the windows cracked and peeled within 5 years of purchase. The cloth seats stain super easily (water leaves a mark) which can be an issue with kids. The mechanics of the car haven’t been an issue. 95,000 miles and I have not done much more than routine maintenance. But there have been at least 5 recalls on the vehicle.

This vehicle is a go-to for beginner drivers.
This 2010 Hyundai Elantra is a great vehicle to have, especially for beginner drivers. It picks up a good speed without going too fast immediately into pressing the gas. It breaks good as well. It is a nice, small and petite car to have, good for driving by yourself or at least with one other person. Not really made for more than 4 passengers or else it will be quite cramped. Good radio quality and gas maintenance as well.
accountCircle Lee J on February 28, 2021
The one thing I like is that it has XM radio and good on gas.
I had to change the alternator 3 times in 3 years. I also go through tires like crazy. But I like how the car handles and how the gas mileage is on the car. It gets me back and forth to work and to do my weekly errands. I will never by another Elantra blue again. I also had a recall on the car for the brake locking system. I pay way to much for a small car like this.

The coating for the shine is literally peeling off. Gas mileage is not bad. Dealership said their replacement for air in the tires is better, now you can only go there to get their "air" in the tires.

The long-run review of the Hyundai Elantra.
The vehicle does not perform as well as it used to but is relatively easy to operate compared to other cars and is simplistic. It is a basic car that takes care of all necessities. Minor annoyances no major issues.
I've had very few problems with my car and most have been minor. A piece broke in my steering column which was a difficult fix for the mechanics but not something that made the car undriveable. It had an ecosystem so it was definitely a gas saving vehicle.
The exterior is real flimsy which can easy cause dents. It is a 4 cylinder so the vehicles drives real slow. It also had a recall the power steering had to be updated and door handle automatically does not work over time. The bumper is real cheap made out of plastic so it will disassemble over time. Great commuter car or first vehicle for students.
I bought this car used and I have had it for a little over a year and a half. I have loved this car from the beginning and the bonus for me is only having to do expected maintenance, like oil changes, brakes, headlights, on it so far. I use this as a commuter car to go to my community college and I get great gas mileage. In the summer, I can get between 34-36 mpg, and in the winter I still get 32-34ish mpg. It has been a very reliable and trusty vehicle for me and I do not love that it is a sedan, but it's high enough off the ground so that it is not difficult to get in and out of, and no trouble seeing traffic lights or anything. For a decently compact car, it has an amazing amount of trunk space as well. Overall, it is a great commuter car with really nice mpg, compact without being cramped, reliable, and easy to maintain. Hope it lasts me at least to the end of my college years!

Problems: interior finishes/materials cheap and have not held up well. Ranges from peeling chrome on door handles to plastic door interior finish scratching immediately after purchase. Performance: it is a 4 cylinder small car. Performance is as expected. It has an 'eco' option which identifies when the engine load is at best performance. Reliability: this is where is the car shines. It has given me virtually no mechanical problems except for 3 recalls. Comfort: it is fine. Again, small, lightweight car. Easily adjust brightness of interior display without jeopardizing driver safety.
The car gets good gas mileage, however shortly after purchasing it from CarMax the electrical panel in my dashboard went out. This seemed to be a manufacturer error that ended up causing my title to be branded, as my odometer had to be replaced and does not reflect accurate mileage. Drives well, but very easily damaged. The paint peels very easily and the frame is weak. These are aesthetics to me, and I will drive this car until it falls apart. The interior is comfortable and very spacious! This car had carried me in moved across state lines twice and is roomy enough that I did not need to rent a uhaul (this is in regards to a single person move). Our 2010 Hyundai Elantra is the best! Outstanding gas mileage (35 highway, 26 city). The seats are very comfortable, with lumbar support, and can be reclined all the way back in the front. The middle section in the back seat has a very handy flip down cup holder/ armrest that makes it more comfortable for passengers in the back seat. The car is reliable, and safe with airbags in the side paneling as well. The trunk space is huge! And the back seats can be folded down to allow even more extended space. I appreciate the aux cord capability, so I'm able to play my own music from my phone. The side mirrors are automatically adjustable allowing for my husband and I to quickly switch between our preferences depending upon who's driving the car. Overall an outstanding vehicle, with great gas mileage and great safety features. I would 10/10 recommended this car to anyone in the market looking for a great commuter or even a small family vehicle.

It's a very good quality. It's easy for manageable.
I like the size of the car and the way it handles. I dislike the low city mpg and the way it runs hard (rpms).

Zipping around town safely.
It is a great starter car, gets from point a to point b safely. The small size makes it easy to drive in the city, but it is also big enough to fit me and 4 passengers with plenty of trunk space. The Elantra is a little too close to the ground for my liking, I am constantly bottoming out, that is my only complaint.

Great vehicle if you just need to get around.
Bought it used in 2015. Performance is great and haven’t experienced major issues. The features are basic but do the job. Seats are comfortable. The power windows haven’t worked well since I bought it, but I rarely use the passenger windows. Trunk space is generous.

Very economical vehicle to buy.
It is good on gas mileage. Has 4 doors. Has been extremely reliable. I have a sun roof which is nice on warm days. Music system is good. I have Sirius satellite radio. This car was well worth the money I paid for it in 2010. I'd recommend it. It is a little on the small side but has a large trunk.

That is an affordable alternative to a Honda. Comparable reliability.
I like that it is reliable and good on gas. I like the design of it. I dislike how cheaply some of the features are manufactured.

My vehicle is a 2010 Hyundai Elantra.
I am really happy about my car. I have had it for a little under two years and it is still running really smooth. The only issues I have had have been with tires but that has nothing to do with the actual car. I am living about 2 hours away from my parents for college and my car has no issues driving the trip at least once a month. Even when I take it into a shop for oil changes they always say my car is still in good condition for the mileage it has.

What I like is the security and freedom it brings me. It brings me independence but sometimes I worry about expense.
That my car makes me get out and about where I wouldn't as much without it.

2010 red Hyundai Elantra se.
I bought my car used so it came with a lot of issues. The shifter recently broke and it has been a pain. The right headlight has also gone out twice. The battery has gone out twice despite the fact I have gotten two new ones. Other than those issues which came from buying secondhand the car has been decent.

Very reliable and affordable car.
Very comfortable and reliable vehicle. Had this car for 10 years and haven't had any major issues. My car has about 140,000 miles on it but is still very reliable. The size of the car is convenient for parking and driving in narrow streets, however still very roomy and comfortable for the driver and passengers. Also, has a lot of trunk space for your necessary belongings.

Great economical compact car
Good gas mileage. Smooth ride. Economical to purchase. Low maintenance. Poor acceleration and pick up.

Good mileage and comfort, cheap in gas and easy to drive.
My car has no issues, I own it now and it gives me a lot of miles for a little gas, I can fill the tank with less than 30 dollars and it lasts me like 2 weeks if I use it everyday. I like the seats and the car shape. Also the brakes are good and is so easy to drive.

It's got a lot of bad and some good.
Needs constant resetting and always runs rough. Its transmission needed to be redone in the 2nd year. It's just constantly starting hard and you have to keep up on the warranty and even then nothing is guaranteed. Beyond that it's very comfortable and just my size. As it's not too big and not too small.

My car is the perfect size and very easy to operate.
My car has always been great. I like that it is compact and easy to park. It is very comfortable and easy to operate. Now that it is 10 years old, it has more issues and has to have maintenance more often. If not for needing more space for my kids, I would get a newer version of my car next. I love it.

The ups and downs of having a Hyundai Elantra
Well it's nice to drive inland good on gas mileage but when it comes to, highway mileage it's bad on gas, and it's nice and cozy for those who likes to stay close to spouse but tight for those who want more leg room. All around it's a good family car and as well as a good first timer car

Love my 2010 Hyundai Elantra.
It is great to own a car that starts runs a smoothly and as quietly as this one does. I acquired it from the original owner a little less than a year ago and I have only had one minor issue with it -- I had to replace the radio/CD player unit because it stopped functioning properly. Aside from that I have had no problems with this vehicle and I love it.

Great family car, with cozy seat warmers.
Car has been very reliable for years now, no problems out of it. Comes with heated seats and sunroof. The belt recently started not catching. There was a recall on the steering column and was not aware until one day it steering wheel wouldn't turn, but was able to get it replaced with no issues.

Love the gas mileage and ease of use of my vehicle
Love everything about my vehicle, just wish it offered bluetooth and hands free talking on the cell phone.

A fantastic small, efficient car!
It is an amazing car. It has plenty of airbags that make me feel safer than some of my older cars. I can even charge my phone in it which is always a plus. It does fantastic on gas, almost 30 miles to the gallon. I feel it can get me safely from a good distance and back and it is such a smooth ride.
