Has worked fine with the exception of often and randomly just revving up rpms on its own while driving in normal conditions even on my 35 mph road to my house. BUT, quite suddenly, despite regular maintenance, the transmission has gone out. The car only works in reverse now, and I’m the second owner making the warranty void at this point. With estimates of $4500-$7300 to repair, it’s definitely not worth it. At 8 years old, it shouldn’t have died so quickly.

Hyundai Elantra general review for an everyday person.
The car is easy to handle. I use the rear view camera every time I back up. Can go long distances on one tank of gas. Requires little maintenance in my opinion. I have only had to take it in for its regular maintenance checks. I also like that it is roomy and holds a surprising amount of things.

The seats have a weird part where it makes you feel like your sinking in. Not great if you have back problems. Gas mileage is really good. Cruise control on the car is really helpful. The trunk space is pretty big for the car size. Also the sport mode on the car is fun. Drive safe!

My Elantra, my dependable friend.
Small but has great pick up. I love the gas mileage. Very few maintenance issues. When cared for it looks sleek like a more expensive model car. I comfortably ride in the driver's seat and I am 6 foot 2. I put higher than average miles on my car and it has been dependable. There are more thaN 125,000 miles and it still runs great. I will buy another Hyundai. I have recommended Hyundais to many others.

It is really reliable! It is the perfect size, not to big or little! Haven't had many problems with it! It is 6 years old and still runs just as good as it did when we got it. The gas mileage is great only have to gas up every other week. And a full fake last around 350 miles!

Great vehicle, reliable and affordable.
Overall happy with my 2014 Hyundai Elantra. Bought the car new and had routine maintenance with no major engine issues at 160,000 miles. Car is reliable and great on fuel. Elantra is great for lower back pain and for larger people.
My car is comfortable especially the seat which really helps my lower back pain. I love the little compartment over the inside mirror. It has cruise control, you can get mileage on a trip, you can charge your cell in it. The car is comfortable for larger people too.

Great car to drive in highways or local roads, very comfortable.
I have never had an issue with my Elantra. Bought it brand new with 0 miles in 2014. In. 6 years, all I have had to do is the basics. Change oil, tires, tire rotation, etc. Thankfully I haven't had any other major problems on the vehicle. Really good on mileage, fill up my tank once a week, if that, and I drive a lot.

Great performance, and excellent on gas mileage. The button used to open the trunk sticks often, but it is not too bad. Had to have the bulbs replaced fairly soon, even after having bought the car new. Aside from the minor problems, it's a great car, and with regular maintenance has lasted a long time.

Love my car! Absolutely worth the buy.
I live my car so much! Have touch screen, Bluetooth, seat warmers and leather seats. Probably my best feature tho, is my backup camera! It helps me park, and honestly just reverse with confidence. I got my car with rims and it is amazing! It also has a push start which is super fancy and you can lock the door by pushing a button on the door without taking out your keys!

The shape of the car is what caught my eye. Sleek and classy looking.
I am very happy with this car. It gets great mileage in and out of the city. Other than regular wear and tear I haven't had any big repairs needed. The automatic start up is a life saver in the winter time. It has a remote to lock and unlock the doors, the only place to open the door with the key is on the driver side door, I would have liked for it to be on both sides of the door. So when I have to make a late night trip to my car I am not disturbing the neighbors with the loud horn the car makes.

Beautiful car for a cheap price. There are minimal features and lots of repairs over time. The drive is very smooth but be prepared for maintenance work. For the price it is it is not to bad but if your wanting a vehicle to last you more than 5 years with very little maintenance than this is not the car for you.

A good car for someone like me with limited mobility.
I like a lot about my car. The size, the ride, the features especially the heated seats. It is very easy for me to get in and out of because of mobility issues. One shortcoming is the small gas tank size and the low mileage. Altogether, it has more pluses than minuses.

Great car. Great gas mileage. Runs very smoothly. No issues or need repairs. Make sure to change oil and the car will run great. Look of the car is good and the space age of the car is a lot larger than it looks. Trunk space is good. Brake lights are bright. A great deal- style, comfort, reliability, all for a great price.
I have had a strange issue with my rpms jumping or reviving up while my car is idle. It seems to get worse in hot weather when my air conditioning has been on often. The check engine light is sensitive and comes on for minor issues. If the history of codes that were pulled up to troubleshoot were not cleared properly then the check engine light can come on. My model is basic and does not have things like a Bluetooth option or back up camera. I feel like my vehicle is still reliable and built fairly well given minimal problems after 6 years and 140,000+ miles. I would say the vehicle is comfortable and safe. It think it had appealing aesthetic design as well. I think it is a good deal as it is good quality for the price.

Hyundai Elantra takes the road head on.
It has an almost zero turning radius and handles like a much more expensive car. Gas mileage is top rate. The seats are comfortable and do not need much adjusting to reach your comfort level. Trunk is super roomy and shaped with more storage space in mind. Nice speakers and good sound for music.

Reliable with a slight electrical issue in tail light.
The tail light on the drivers side is always going out. It is an electrical issue with Elantra’s mechanics cannot fix. Otherwise I love the appearance and comfort level of the car. Not much issues besides that. It has been reliable for many years for me and I have always had jobs that travel long distances.

2014 Hyundai Elantra review.
My car is very smooth running. I haven't had any problems with it the last 3 years. I bought it preowned and except for a few interior scuffs due to the previous owner it has been a great time driving this car. Performs well, acceleration is a little slow and you can feel when there are multiple people in your car but other than that it is a great car.

Great reliability and a great warranty.
My Hyundai Elantra gt has been very reliable. I have almost one hundred thousand miles on it. I have not has to replace anything except for oil, tires and transmission fluids. I has ok gas mileage at about 27 miles per gallon. It has heated seats and great air conditioning.
My car lags sometimes and jerks. I only have 50000 miles on it so there should not be as many problems as I have from it. My check engine light comes on sometimes and then goes back off. The positive about the car is that it is a gas saver and small.

I absolutely love my 2014 Hyundai Elantra, the amazing features in the car make everyday life so much easier. One of my favorite things is the dashboard and how it shows how many miles I have left until I run out of gas. I also love the different modes that are offered with this car, from comfort to sport to standard. This is a great car for a beginner to a family, it is not too big or not too small just the perfect in between. I have not incurred any problems with my vehicle, the performance on it is amazing I was very impressed. It is a reliable and comfortable car for all individuals across the board. The only thing I would like different if I could change anything would be the interior color and change it to leather as well! Overall, amazing car, I highly recommend :).

Great on mileage on gas! Minimum upkeep!! So it is a keeper!!
I love the fact that it is gas-efficient and the upkeep costs minimal. I do not like that it is so small buts what coupe is! So I wish it had more space. It seems as though the brakes wear down pretty quick but still good posts on brake pads and labor for the vehicle. It also does not seem very durable, if I were to get into an accident, damage would be 'totaled' because I feel like I am driving in a tin cup!

My Hyundai Elantra is a very nice car. It is sleek and stylish. It gets great gas mileage but it can move when you need it to. It has plenty of legroom for the front passengers. However if your in the back and the front passengers don't pull up their seats some you will be cramped. Hopefully the front and back passengers will make the proper adjustments. The car comes in pretty colors mine is blue and it is awesome looking. It has good resale value also. It is a reliable car always starts up great even in the coldest weather. The heating works wonderfully as well as the air conditioning units in the vehicle. It has great sound coming out of its speakers. A nice ride all the way around. You will love it!

Eco friendly 2014 Hyundai Elantra.
The 2014 Hyundai Elantra is great on gas with 31 miles per gallon with eco boost feature on. It has the option to change your steering wheel tension which I love, you can choose between comfort, normal and sport. My dislike about this car is it is low power going up hills. I also do not like the inside cabin design.

The headlight sensor does not work right. It will be sunny at bright and the lights come on dimming the interior panel lights. It will be raining and gray and I have to manually turn the lights on. The fuel sensor does not work. The tires keep losing pressure making me have to go get them filled at least once a month.

The great 2014 Hyundai Elantra that is reliable, basic, and dependable.
I love this car, but it's really technology wise. No back up camera, and the seats are cloth which are hard to clean and keep up with. The car drives very smooth and isnt too noisy. It is also very good on gas, I usually only have to fill up my tank once every other week. Very reliable vehicle, if you keep up with the oil changes, never has given me any problems starting or driving.

There are not any real problems. I love my heated seats, and the car seats are also very comfortable. It is easy for both me and my fiance to fit in the driver's seat, and it is easy to move. I am 5'2', he is 5'10'. It also has a very large trunk for its size, and the backseat is spacious.

Recall on brakes, fixed. Been a good car, I've had it for about 3 years and it's fine. The suspension is a little stiff but that's about it. Also the left blinker wire is shorting out. Which was an easy fix. It did not come with a spare tire. Which would of been nice. The car also moves well. Nice speeds.

A good car to have for mileage and getting around in.
This vehicle is the first Hyundai that we have own and it has been a great car. The only problem we have had is getting stuck in heavy deep snow. We make sure that the driveway is plowed. The car is definitely one that we plan to keep for awhile. We will get another one in the future.

The car has been extremely reliable. I have no complaints. I have had the car for over 6 years and it has over one hundred forty thousand miles. It still feels like a new car and averages just a tad shy of 40 miles per gallon. I am now on my third set of new tires.

This vehicle overall, I would give it a 6 of 10 because it is a good general car.
The car typically overheats a lot and sometimes the transmission will skip a few days straight out of the week. Overall this car is a good commuter car for any young people in school. The interior is also a plus to this vehicle because the seats are comfortable and the air and heat feel really good.

I love that the back seats are heated and the gas mileage is great.
It is really fun to drive. Just low to the ground and really small. But it gets you where you need to go and it has great features. Heated seats and a backup camera and Bluetooth. The trunk is small. There is quite a bit of leg room. Overall thought it is a great car good gas mileage and has lasted me a while. Driving to work every day for 30 mins I say it is a great commuter car.

Reliable, dependable, and affordable.
After previously owning another Hyundai Elantra, which I bought brand new and then traded in when it reached 240,000 miles and I had no significant issues with the car the entire time I owned it, I knew Hyundai was a reliable vehicle so I decided to buy another one and once again the car has remained consistently reliable and I haven't had to spend much money on repairs or service. While my car is not overly fancy or is not a showy car, its dependable, reliable, and has continually done it is job. One of the things I really like is the gas mileage I get with this car, as well as my last Hyundai. There honestly is not anything that I feel the car is lacking so overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Transmission and engine problems. Headlight went out a few times. However I have a sunroof, moonroof and touchscreen along with Bluetooth. Gas mileage is not bad but could be better. Digital gas gauge. Changed the brakes myself so that was pretty simple on this car.

Great little commuter car. Ok in the snow. Tires are everything. Small and great in gas. Reliability is definitely there and they did a good job with the space in the interior of the car. Our Hyundai is a great reliable family car.
We've had our car for a couple years without any issues! The only thing we've had to repair on our vehicle is to replace the tires and brakes. It has a lot of comfort features including hands free phone calls via Bluetooth, seat warmers, eco friendly driving mode and more. I am super happy I decided on getting this car as my first vehicle I am more than happy with it, would highly recommend!

Great overall automobile getting you from point A to point B very dependable.
I haven't had any problems with my vehicle, it is performance has been great, gas mileage is very good the drive is sporty, is very comfortable trunk is s roomy.

My Elantra is a nice commuter vehicle. It is comfortable and spacious.
It sometimes skips on the road. Feels loose where you need to hold the wheel before it could go uncontrollable but it doesn't. The door windows are high so my toddler cannot see out the window. I love the heated seats, Bluetooth and gas mileage. It has a lot of space. Good size.

It is a reliable car that does not break down often, it is not too costly to repair and maintain.
I have the sport model of the Elantra and it has most of the features that I want. It is pretty reliable and I have had no issues with the engine. It has a very elegant and modern body style. It works well getting me to and from work all year round.

Comfortable and easy maintenance, not recommended in harsh weather conditions.
The car has great steering and handling and features. However, it is low to the ground so speed bumps and potholes must be driven over very slowly to avoid degrading the shocks and suspension quickly. Moreover, I difficult weather the car is hard to maneuver in snow or pouring rain if you are a new driver.

Small but luxurious and inexpensive.
I really enjoy my car. It is a 4 cylinder so I do not get in trouble with speeding tickets but it is also a gt model so I can still kind of have some fun. I haven't had any issues mechanically out of it yet. I am going on almost two years of owning it so far with zero complaints.

Leather seats with heated front passenger and beautiful exterior.
The vehicle seems to drive rather smoothly. The limited has all the bells and whistles. Heated seats in the front and back seats. Beautiful exterior with a sunroof. Nice tan leather seats and plenty of room. Great gas mileage and sound system. Decent trunk space for being a smaller vehicle.

Nice compact car with enjoyable drive experience.
It has electric problems with the radio, buttons and screen. I love the shape and the size. It is pretty good on gasoline. Small enough to fit in tight parking spots. I would love it if the car would either have bigger engine or would be a hybrid to save more on gas. The key coming with the car is ridiculous seems like it is 20 years behind the time.

2014 Hyundai Elantra gt is super reliable.
I was surprised how much I liked the Elantra gt. My other cars before this one had been bigger midsize sedans and I was worried about space and power. I think the Elantra has more pickup and power than similar compact cars, say, a Mazda 3, which tends to lose too much power and slow down every time you lift off the gas. The gt hatchback is great for carrying things too and makes you feel sporty. The Elantra is not a sports car and you couldn't hold your own against bigger engines, but it is reliable and speedy for everyday use. Mine is a 2014 and I have only had to do regular oil changes and buy new tires when needed.

Great reliable car that allows for great gas mileage with creative comforts.
Overall, great gas mileage with really good handling and reliability. The cars comfort is really great and has really good heating and air conditioning. However, you may need to replace the drive belt after a few years as it can wear out. Overall, this car is a decent driver and has allowed me to travel long distances without any major issues.

It is mostly for short people.
The really annoying part is my sunglasses holder fall down frequently over bumps in really warm days. And the rearview mirror I have to keep flipped up because I cannot see through it if not, so it is always shaded or dark. But it is a great little car I love it.

Great, inexpensive car to own.
No problems other than routine maintenance in the 6 years I have owned the vehicle. Great car and very fuel efficient. Tires are cheap to purchase for this car and it has a large gas tank, so when you fill up you can drive for a long time before needing to fill up again.

Cute car. Looks sporty without a high sporty price.
Very comfortable. Plenty of passenger space. Plenty of trunk space for a small car. Only real issue is the sport tires. Road noise due to the smaller tires and they can't be replaced with regular tires due to the smaller wheel wells. Great mileage. Only other issue is I wish I would have gotten one with navigation system included. Only place to use your phone for navigation safely is attach it to the windshield. Vents don't have room for phone clip holders.

I love the car because of the gas mileage. I get 40 miles per gallon.
I haven't had any problems with it at all besides getting new tires and routine maintenance. I just make sure I keep up with oil changes, change out air filters, and alignment. It has been a solid car that gets great gas mileage. It only takes $20 to fill my tank.

2014 Hyundai Elantra gt review.
Overall, the car has performed well, but there are some problems related to engine noise. There are also a pretty big blind spot on the driver's side. Other than that the car has not needed any major maintenance aside from normal stuff. Based on things previously mentioned I probably would not buy this model again.

This model has Eco Drive which is the capability to save on gas/mileage
My vehicle has been extremely reliable during the period of time that I have owned it which has been almost 3 years. I have not had any major maintenance concerns. Routine maintenance costs have been reasonable. I have great gas mileage of 35 mpg. I would love to purchase a newer model soon.

The Elantra model is very good on gas.
Nice little car and it is very good on gas. I like that it is sporty looking. I do not like that it is a 2 door.
