I just purchaseda used car & it happenes to be a Kona. I choose the make& model because of what id read about reliability, fuel efficiency, & features. It has ~45k miles on it but I think that given the industry average of 15k per year-I’m not too far off the mark. I’m taking it in to the dealership to attend to a recall notice & hope things go my way. I hope I made the right decision buying this 2019,Hyundai Kona.For me, it’s a good looking vehicle with a luxurious feel

Very small, easy electronic features, generally reliable.
Very small, and essentially only got it because it is the only car that will fit in my very tiny one car garage (with any other vehicle, I was unable to close the garage door). I also feel like it does not have the best engine/transition in the long term without more constant vehicle checks (I’d previously only driven German-engineered vehicles). What I do like, however, it how easy all of the Bluetooth/navigation systems are. They’re very straight forward. It works for me in my circumstances, but miss having a sturdier vehicle.

Handles very well around bends / turns; all wheel drive system handles deep snow well. Drive modes available are normal / sport; vehicle features clutchless shifter module for manual shifting if desired. Radio / infotainment system can at times freeze or restart; potentially requiring battery disconnect to remedy. Vehicle averages between 35 - 50 mph on highways, depending on driving habits; tire condition & season.

Compact and popping sunset orange color.
The six months I owned my Kona I have had no issues with it. The cold weather starting and I have had an alert that my tire pressure is low in one tire, so that is a helpful notification. I would recommend the turbo engine, as there is not a lot of peep accelerating. I like the fold down seats and I can store my bike in the back.

Why we love and trust our vehicle.
It has no problems, performs very well, is comfortable, has all the features we need, gets good gas mileage and has all the safety features we need. Drives well, appropriate for our usage. Fits in our driveway nicely and is a color that is easy to keep clean.

I absolutely love my Hyundai Kona. It is a great fit for my active lifestyle and has plenty of storage for traveling and especially outdoor excursions. The gas mileage is phenomenal making it a great choice for road trips. I have owned this vehicle for two years, and I have had no issues with the vehicle.

Fun, fast and compact. A dream for road trips.
I have had the most fun driving my Kona around. It will probably be the cutest car I ever own, the sunset orange being the first feature to draw me in. The sun roof makes road trips great and the amount of safety features gives a lot of comfort. With lane assistance, a rear camera, sensors in front of the car and on the sides. It has sports mode for those quick lane changes. Gas and mileage are fantastic. I would say the only downside is the lack of space being someone who came from a full sized SUV.

The good, the bad, and why does it physically depreciate so fast?
I have had quite a few issues with the car like having to replace the horn less than a year and having to cylinders misfire in the engine after one year. On the positive side, I love the sound system, the heated seats in the trim, the safety features, and the other all look of the car. In all, I do like my car, just things keep going wrong for it being a brand new car.

Great choice for first time car owner.
This car is a great choice for a new car owner or someone with a small family. It is very reliable, safe, and comfortable. The only feature I feel like it is missing is an automated trunk close button. The apple carplay is my favorite feature. The car gets great gas mileage too.

It has its good points and bad.
Easy to drive and is a small car without feeling too small. But the cupholders are in an awkward spot (I constantly bump my drink with my elbow), and when driving on the freeway it sounds like a window or door is not fully closed. Also, it is hard to hear people in the backseat talking to you in the front.

Car radio reception needs to be improved as it is terrible unless you have a strong signal from the station you are trying to get, overall it has been no other issues, mileage is ok as is the power because you can switch drive modes to sport for more power.

Nice try but needs refinement.
The car accelerates well however the transmission is inconsistent or there is turbo lag. I do not always feel confident when I accelerate. The car also has quirks that make ownership experience less pleasing. For instance when changing the radio stations the volume varies with each one instead of staying the same. It all varies when I switch to my iPhone. There are only 5 preset radio stations. I wish there were more. I also wish there was a remote start that did not involve the automakers app. I have tried several times to remote start from the app while returning from a flight but it never starts.

Well designed, good amount of safety features and tools to assist with driving. Comfortable seating with good mileage and good amount of space for storage in the back. 2019 Hyundai Kona tech package.
I purchased the 2019 Hyundai Kona with the tech package extras. My car has self driving features and top of the line safety features. The SUV is a crossover yet roomy enough for my whole family. The kids love it, the dogs love it, and it is comfortable to drive. The backup camera is so clear and the lane stay assist is an awesome option. It has heated seats and a sunroof too. This SUV is not only reliable and safe, but stylish as well.

Kona for one - perfect for singles with a simple lifestyle.
Vehicle is all wheel drive. Performance has been great in bad weather, like snow. It does have a rather small gas tank, only 11 gallons. Gets about 350 miles per tank. Between 28 and 32 miles per gallon. Trunk space is not the largest but works fine for me as I am the only person that uses it.

Ironman kona-. Exceptional 2019 vehicle.
It is the coolest car I ever had and it handles well. It has all the latest technology and dashboard screen. All the iron man insignias are on the dashboard (Tony Stark), on the hood, in the back, and the mask lights up when you open the door (on the floor) as long as it is dark. Burgundy roof with a gray body and a matte finish.

Car is ok for short trips, not the most comfortable for long rides. The back seat area is a little small. The engine does not provide a lot of power especially while driving up through the mountains. Overall, it is an ok car for driving around the city.

The Hyundai Kona is a great car.
It is a super safe car. It has a lane keeping system, rear camera, blind spot detection, prevents accidents by stopping the car if you do not break in time for the car ahead, etc. It also has CarPlay music capabilities and SiriusXM. The back seats fold down for more room but it is not too big like an SUV.

The Kona is a great car! It is a smooth ride, great on gas and safe. It has everything you need in a car. The trunk is can actually hold a good amount and you have the apple CarPlay which is great GPS and connecting your own music. Electrical problems, v radio does not turn on sometimes. Sun told opens by itself, Bluetooth does not connect. Heated seats are good. Backup camera works well. I like the new blue color that they made them in. Engine runs well and the car runs well just wish there want the electrical problem.

Kia kina is for someone that can drive a Kia.
Do not have heated seats. I cannot adjust the seat to my height because I am very short. I need to adjust the mirror so I can get a good view without adjusting. My seat to far up. I need to use a pillow to help me reach the gas pedal. There is not much gas power when I step on the gas pedal.

My car gets great gas mileage, always over 30 mpg. It is a compact SUV but is comfortable and roomy on the inside. The safety and tech features are amazing and easier to use. Convenient and reliable, the Hyundai Kona is a great option as a primary vehicle.
I really enjoy my car! The blue link feature is cool which allows me to start my car which is especially helpful in the winter. I also really enjoy using my apple carplay and hands free talk and text! I live in the mountains and my only wish is that it did better on steeper hills and in the rain/snow. If it were AWD it would be better.

The Hyundai Kona is a great every day car. It gets great gas mileage, it is comfortable, and is extremely reliable. It comfortably seats 4 adults but there is the standard middle seat in the back. The only slight downside is that the windows do not have auto up/down (except the drivers side front window).

The only thing I wish was different is that there is no trunk button on the inside of the car or on the key. You have to manually open and shut the trunk every time, but the key does have an unlock and lock button for the trunk.

Safety problem and very poor service.
No. The front door windows rubber casing does Not touch the glass. After any rain I need to use a squeegee to clear the windows. Highly dangerous to pull out of driveway. Fred Beans Dealership said there is nothing they can do.

An excellent vehicle for gas mileage and safety.
I really enjoy the comfort of the seats, it works especially well for my petite frame. In addition, the gas mileage is between 35 and 40 miles to the gallon for mostly highway driving. Kona pros outweigh cons!!
Tires are skippy in the rain, and the trunk is not automatic (not helpful when moving), accelerates well, provides enough storage and comfort for all passengers. Goes through gas fast though. I love the apple CarPlay option. Was leasing but I might end up keeping it!

The pros and cons of a Hyundai Kona.
The vehicle is too small. Common drinks do not fit in the cup holders. There is practically no console space. The seats do fold down, however they do not lay flat. I recommend getting a Honda CR-V instead. The apple CarPlay is nice, however it will not let you Bluetooth a different phone than the one that is plugged in. It does have lane-departure warning, but not blind spot help. It has collision warning, lane assist, and a back up camera. The backup camera is really nice on this model.

I love my Kona! It is just big enough for road trips, camping, and my grandson but compact enough for the city. Hyundai Kona, no complaints.
I got it fixed and the new door is not as good as the original. I like the adaptive lane assist and use it along with cruise control for longer rides. My friends do not complain when they need to sit in the back, plenty of leg room. Heated seats are useful, but I live on a steep hill and use their hill assist every time I drive.

Kona, a shifty hut safe stylish vehicle that is great on gas!
I have no problems I can list, only really positive things. It is extremely comfortable and drives with a little bit of an attitude, almost like a sports car. For a small SUV the steering radius is very impressive. To top it off, it gets great miles per gallon.

An overall decent vehicle.
It is comfortable, I love the spacious interior, the touchscreen with apple CarPlay. There is a warning that the vehicle is prone to flipping so it is recommended to be a very careful driver. The car is good on gas, has decent brakes, a good sound system and heating/cooling. Having heated seats or remote start would be welcome as they do not have these features.

Size of the trunk and backseat are a slight issue. Overall the performance is very good. Handles rain and snow fairly well. The dashboard with the apple car play is a very nice feature that allows for easy use of a GPS system as well as handling music either through Bluetooth or the CarPlay itself.

1st problem at 1yr
Overall I love my kona, but yesterday it wouldn’t start.Blank screen. Friday I went out and had “battery discharge external source” message. But it started right up. Nothing was plugged in.Go out Saturday no start blank screen can’t even use key fob to open door. So today I call roadside assistance they came out and jumped it. No problem. I let it run for 20 minutes to charge battery . Turn it off and on again won’t start.

Floor space under trunk which can store items such as a sunscreen or umbrella.
Love the auto-drive features and lane assist. Sometimes the car takes a second to click into gear when you get started. Great inexpensive SUV, but some of the dashboard and parts are plastic and not the most luxurious. When driving with phone or keys in your lap it they easily fall into the seats which can be challenging to get out. Overall, however, a great car.

My car is fine, I have no noticeable problem, the only thing I can notice is that the rear trunk does not open with the car key. The steering wheel is super smooth, the traction very well. The trunk is not the largest but it is quite spacious and comfortable. The rear seats are comfortable and roomy. Overall, I am very happy with my 2019 Hyundai Kona.

It was available in nice colors. It has a sleek shape. The camera is very helpful for backing up and the screen can be connected to your phone with Bluetooth to play music or give directions and it will play over the speakers. The trunk has a good amount of space. There are good safety features.

No problems to report. Happy with it is styling, handling and performance. It would definitely be a car I might want to own after the lease expires. My new car leaves me stranded
Way too many times my car won't start the day I bought it after signing the papers they needed to jump started while it was in the show Room. Since then they have put into batteries and I keep having the same issues my car won't start. They can't find the problem so they don't fix it they just replaced the battery. It gets terrible gas mileage and the cooling fan will stay on sometimes 30 minutes after the car shut off and locked up. The headlights point down and it's really hard to see at night. Sometimes the doors don't unlock. At times I get a glitch in my dashboard. This car has been nothing but headaches and it is not reliable and it cost me $38000

Have had this vehicle 1 year now and no complaints! Great gas mileage, rides smooth, has more power than I expected. Everyone always wants to get a look at the ironman car, so it is been a great conversation starter. Sporty and fun driving AWD Kona!

I love this car, 10/10 would buy again.
I love this car, very reliable and enjoyable to drive. The fuel efficiency is very good for the size of the car. I also love the apple car play it is a great feature that I need to have in all future vehicles. The seat are also very comfortable in the front, the back seats are somewhat cramped for tall adults but that is the only issue that I have with the car.

Hyundai Kona is fun and reliable ride.
My 2019 Kona has been a nice ride and very reliable. The forward collision avoidance is a great safety feature to have in any car. I am so happy Hyundai integrated this feature for the Kona. I purchased my car a year ago, and so far I have no complaints.

2019 Hyundai Kona -- fantastic car!
I absolutely love this vehicle. This is the first car I have bought on my own, and I have no regrets. I get about 25-26 mpg and have had zero issues with the vehicle. The interior is fantastic, very comfortable to sit in. I wanted a car that was small, yet big enough to have a good amount of trunk room and this one was perfect. It has a touch screen, electric seats, seat warmers, very adjustable ac vents, easy to use mirror controls, blind spot alert, and many other things. There are different buying options that you can get, I got the basic, and I think it is great. I would highly suggest this car!

This is my first small class SUV. And I am very happy with it.
Drives great, only issue I have is the cargo capacity is small. Has all the regular amenities I am used to. I enjoy the gas savings being in a small SUV. As far as reliability I have had no issues since we got the vehicle. It handles great in weather. This is my first Hyundai and so far it has been a great brand.

Great on Gas
I have 2019 Kona. I have 47 thousand Kms and I got problems with my Steering column. I’ve been waiting a few weeks for my part and apparently there is none available in Canada and it’s back ordered. For 30 thousand dollars, I should not have this problem. On a good note , great on gas

It is a pretty great car with very cool features.
There is no problem, I only had a starter issue once. The vehicle ran smoothly, I can switch gear mode, and a whole lot of cool features. Easy to start up, does not make a lot of noise. Ac works pretty great in the summer. Anyone would love this car.

Reliable and comfortable!
I got the most basic option, but I love it! I haven't had any problems with the car. It is extremely comfortable, and reliable. I haven't had any performance problems. It has really good get up and go to it too. I have been able to take it on short drives to work and also a longer trip out of town!

Hyundai Kona can transform by a push of a button activating sport mode.
The 2019 Kona 20k miles into its life span had to have an engine replaced and a new starter. Both completely covered by the warranty. The Kona threw a rod which caused the new engine replacement. Pros for this Hyundai Kona is the large touch screen and high quality backing out camera and safety features.

Nothing but problems
I have had nothing but issues with my brand new 2019 Kona Limited. First some horrible mildew smell coming from the vents that I had 'fixed 3 times' and after looking up noticed there are quite a few with this issue. Then just a month later I started getting battery discharge from outside source warning when starting my car after it sat overnight. I do not and have not had anything plugged into my car and the dealership cannot figure out the problem so I looked it up, seems a lot of people have the same issue as well. I'm pretty upset and I feel like I purchased a defective car. It is brand new. Just now hit 6000 miles. I've also noticed that the shifting is super sluggish and seems to have gotten worse lately. I bought the car because it was comfortable and had good gas mileage. I overlooked the very small trunk space for its comfort. This car was absolutely not worth it and I'd get rid of it if I could.

Very sleek yet very mom like.
This car is super reliable and drives very smooth. The outside of the car is very sporty and sleek but the inside is big and has lots of rooms for children or big dogs. It is great on gas and can go quite a bit before you have to change the oil or tires.

Hyundai Kona: amazing value.
The Hyundai Kona is a small enough crossover that you get the height you want but also compactness that makes it easy to drive. It includes apple carplay which is extremely helpful on road trips and in providing directions. It drives especially smooth and as long as you keep up with your oil and filter changes you will not have any issues. It is extremely comfortable for trips in the car and does great on gas mileage. The trunk is a hatchback that provides tons of storage space. The Kona back seats also allow you to fold them down to create more space for storage or a fun night at the drive-in. Each upgrade the car has provides more unique features such as a push start and/or climate control. My Kona also has racks on the top of the car which are really convenient for hauling bikes or kayaks for a trip away. The car is also very smart in you are always easily able to see your tire pressures and it is quick to alert you when you'll need your next oil change or if there are any issues happening in the car. This version of the car also allows drivers assistance that you can keep on or choose to turn off. It will beep if it notices you driving over the line or if you are about to get in the next lane but a car is coming. It also will auto drive for you when it is able to detect lines which is nice for when you need to have your hands off the wheel for a few seconds either to have a drink of your coffee have a snack. This car also the allow the option of XM radio if you choose to elect in the service, though you'll usually get a couple months free with your initial purchase of the car.

Great ride tough small SUV with a smooth ride.
The vehicle is well equipped and has great features for a small SUV. In addition it has a smooth ride and great features. The 4 cylinder engine makes it great on gas. The seats are comfortable and the ride is great. It does not have a lot of power but the comfort makes up for that.

Underpowered and noisy interior plus very limited trunk.space
I had this car for 3 weeks as a rental car from Enterprise. The engine was underpowered and quite sluggish whenever I needed a boost of power to enter the freeway. I would attempt to accelerate and there was a significant delay after stepping on the gas. Vehicle rated that it takes 9 seconds to get 60 mph. There was also considerable wind noise and I kept thinking that the driver's side windows were cracked open but they were not. Trunk space is very limited and I could not get my dog's small crate folded flat in the rear without putting both rear seats down. The car handles well, rides well, gets very good gas mileage and visibility is great. It is also the perfect size for a smaller SUV and very easy to get in and out of and to load. Overall I really liked it except for the sluggish engine, wind noise, and lack of trunk space.

Warming seats for extra comfort in the winter as well as quiet engine idle or on the road. Other features are deep hatchback trunk space with collapsible and expandable storage above and below floorboard area. Hyundai app provides extra features for security in locking, starting and engine on or off.

Great mid-sized vehicle!
Great trunk space, good mileage, great in-between car and SUV vehicle, so if you want something bigger than a sedan aren't ready for a svu this is it. Color options are a big plus. Decent price point for what you get. Can get heated seats. Sunroof. And remote start capabilities.

My 2019 Kona is a great reliable vehicle. It is the perfect size SUV with do many safety features such as lane assist alert, great back up camera, several airbags and other safety features as well. It gives an extremely smooth ride and has AWD and it has a very cool sleek look to it, very stylish aerodynamic look.

The trendy and safety of the Hyundai Kona.
I love how comfortable and smooth the car is when driving. The gas efficiency and the lane assist are two of my favorite qualities in the car. I also really love the plush cloth seats and if you are distracted, a camera in the front of the windshield detects when you are about to crash and hits the brakes for you to get your attention.

My Hyundai success story!
I love my Kona! I have had it for over a year now and it is easily the smoothest vehicle I have ever driven! Not only do I get great gas mileage, but I also feel very safe on the road! The seats are very comfortable and the technology is up to date and awesome!

Kona review of a first car buyer.
Kona is reliable car. It is a compact SUV which fits 4-5 people. I bought it for it is all wheel drive capability because of the Chicago winters. Perfect for suburban life and city life. I love that it has a backup camera. It is interior is very clean and sleek. The trunk is somewhat small for a family of 5 when grocery shopping but it's manageable. Its comfortable in the driver seat as well as passengers with leg room.

Love the Kona more than any other car.
My vehicle is awesome and works very well. We have never had any issues with our vehicle. The Kona is a well equipped vehicle that drives and ha does very well. I recommend the Kona to anyone looking for a new vehicle. I would buy the Kona again. Love the Kona.

The shimmering coat of paint where it looks like my car is sparkling in the sun.
I am in love with my car and couldn't have gotten a better first time car. It is great on gas and takes less than $30 to fill up the tank. It is also good for slight off roading if you ever take this car camping with you. It also has a nice amount of trunk space for traveling and grocery shopping as well.

Good little car and economical.
A little small for my girth, but otherwise comfortable, reliable, and economical. It has good acceleration. That is partly because it is small and has quite a few non-metal sections, but it handles well and sticks to the road at speed even with windy conditions.

Nice features but not perfect.
Safety features are amazing. Blind spot detection and lane departure warning are nice. Opt for the pop-up screen and larger display for android auto. The pop-up screen shows the speed limit, your speed, and has blind spot information. Car is a little compact and does not have dual zone air control nor does it have vents in the backseat.

The Hyundai Kona is a sleek with great safety features, and great gas mileage.
I love all the features that the Hyundai Kona offers, love the rear view camera, the safety features it comes with while driving, the lane assistance that beeps if you drive over the line, I love the gas mileage you can get from the Hyundai, and the only thing I wish was different was the size. With 3 kids it's not much of a SUV. It's great for anyone else. I just would prefer more room.
