I like the size and drivability of my car, but the air conditioner does not work, the radio is messed up, and it's just getting old. I do love it, but it's probably close to time for a new one.

This car just keeps on going!
Never any mechanical problems with this car. I like being a little higher, so I can see better. One of the big reasons I choose this car is the size of the blind spots - very small, I can see pretty well all around. This car has over 100, 000 miles on it and still runs perfectly.

Gas last really long with the car.
My 2002 Santa Fe is absolutely amazing!! It is my second SUV and I think it is so roomy and comfortable for my passengers. It does not give me any problems. The gas mileage is great! All around great car!

Comfortable and fun ride.
Wonderfully comfortable, spacious vehicle that looks good. Very reliable except for some issues with the brakes. Fun to drive and fits all our gear when we go on extended trips. The front seats are extremely comfortable and there is plenty of legroom in the back seat.

My vehicle has a classy gold coloring.
My car is incredibly reliable. Even though it is an SUV, it drives smoothly. It has lots of space for when you need to pack and go on trips. The gold coloring is classy. I am also a fan of the trim. The radio is also a nice touch, and the CD player is great when travelling through rural areas.

I love my Santa Fe, it is awesome!
I love my Santa Fe! He runs great and has almost 200, 000 miles. The only problem I have ever had is the tire but that is normal. The leather seats are super comfortable and durable and good for someone like me who spills all the time. The back seats fold all the way down which is great for hauling things and especially for me, taking all of my things to another state for college.

Engine type, non interference vs interference engines.
Know your engine type. And change your timing belt every 60, 000 miles. Otherwise you will blow your engine.

It needs a lot of work but it's a good car if well maintained and so long and you don't damage the carriage.
It was fine until some with a hit back into my car and damaged the undercarriage. Everything has started to break down over time because of one incident. Also a lot of parts are stacked so labor is higher even for small repairs.

Reliable for an old vehicle.
Our Santa Fe has been reliable for us. It has around 250, 000 miles. We really cannot complain! It has had some minor issues recently, with brakes and the check engine light has been coming on. Again, it is an old vehicle with a lot of miles. I wouldn't be opposed to getting another Santa Fe.

Good car to drive and worth to buy one but, I think a newer one will be better.
My vehicle is pretty nice but, it is a used car and it has a lot of mileage on it. But, other than that it rides good. But, if you could afford a newer car you could go buy one. You could finance it and pay monthly. It is a good driving car. But, there are newer ones out there also so you could give those a try also.

It's not too terrible on gas mileage but has a big tank.
Air conditioning quit few years back. There is some kind of leak with the power steering fluid that will empty almost completely. Power problem with lighting and radio system. Battery drains quickly.

Love this car! So comfy and fun to drive. Has only been in the shop once, to replace starter, after 16 years. Only disappointment is clear coat began coming off immediately and looks horrible.

Light issue is concerning
I love the size of the vehicle and it runs well. The lock on the back hatch gets stuck a lot so I am unable to use it most of the time. I have recently been having a issue with interior lights flashing when I use my turn signal.

Hyundai Santa Fe review must read.
The vehicle does not have a lot of problems. I have had it for 2 years now. I have drove it from Miami to NC 6 times which is 13 hours one way. The only downfall is that the car uses a lot of gas unfortunately. Other than the gas issue it is a great vehicle.

It is a gas guzzler. My gas bill is stupid expensive.
So, I got Fefe about a year ago and haven't had any complaints yet. She has some quirks, but I would expect that with a car of that age.

The Hyundai Santa Fe is great on gas mileage and does not guzzle the gas too much. I got my car used and with regular maintenance that any car needs, it lasted me a good three years despite the large amount of miles on it already. It is a comfortable medium between a car and a truck.

Santa Fe - Safe, solid, and recommend.
My Santa Fe is a great vehicle. I am heading for 300,000 miles and the Santa Fe operates better than most cars I pass on the road. Interior looks great. Exterior is holding its paint and shine. I have made to sure perform the recommended maintenance on a timely basis. The Santa Fe handles very well in the snow and ice. I do not have any issues with blind spots when drive. Very easy to handle and maneuver. I am someone that enjoys driving and the Santa Fe has only enhanced my trips. Easy for my elderly mother to get in and out of when she travels with me. I play a lot of sports and the interior space allows me to carry multiple seasons of equipment at one time. I have felt safe traveling cross country. Very sound body on the Santa Fe. I have never felt like I was driving a tin box. I have owned 5 cars so far and grew up with 7 others. The quality available in the Santa Fe has not disappointed. I go to car shows every year and I always go straight to Hyundai to see what they have to offer and the other brands have to measure up to the Santa Fe benchmark. Look forward to my next Hyundai purchase (after surpassing 300K)!

It is comfortable and enjoyable to drive.
I bought it used. The original owner seems to have gotten most, if not all of the available options. It even has heated seats, which I don't use, and automatic climate control, which I like. It has plenty of power, decent engine braking and all-wheel drive, which make driving easier. It also has fog lights, which I've found to be very helpful at night in the rain.

My santa fe has been very dependable and has only had major things go wrong with it just the normal things like alternator, starter and battery. There is nothing that I dislike about my vehicle other than as of this date it has almost 235,000 miles on it.

My car is reliable, comfortable and a good size for most applications you could want it for. The paint has been coming off and I have seen it be a consistent problem for similar models. I can see that it has started to rust. We also had a recall of a part at some point that seemed a bit odd, but other than aesthetics it has performed well and been a good car.

How comfortable it is when you're traveling.
I like the comfort. I enjoy that it has roof racks for travel. I got the vehicle used and as soon as I did the a/c stopped working. The only complaint I have is it is a bit rough when it comes to bumps and harder terrain.

Recall issues along with gas and air conditioning systems issues.
Broken axle, fuel tank issues, check engine light comes on often. Have had to replace air conditioning unit on car. Rear axle broke under a recall that should of never happened and $5000 worth of repair but was paid for by the company. Also have had issues with purge valve and had to replace.

It's very practical and reliable.
It's a little on the small side, but it does have enough room for all my needs and fold down seats in the back and a rock in top. For having g high mileage, it is mechanically sound and reliable. It came with blue flames stickered on each side with is very ugly, and it's not very fast.

Others should know that my car has a long drive life.
My vehicle performs pretty well! It has 4 wheel drive so it is terrific in the snow! The only bad thing about this car is that it is pretty loud, so if you are looking for a car that is quiet and smooth, this is not your car. My car has so much room and also heated seats, which is great for the cold winter months.

My car work well to be old it has cv joints that need to be replace and the fuel pump but it is as all around great SUV.I would like a new one when I get the money but for the most part I love this I would get the same year again and again that is the best I can text about this SUV.

I guess if I were asked this, I would tell them about how great of a car it is if you have one or two small children. There is plenty of storage, drives comfortably, and has good city mileage.
I really love my Hyundai Santa Fe. It's incredibly reliable, has tons of space, and it very comfortable. I can always fit lots of things into the back. I also like having an SUV and being a bit higher off the ground.

The highlight of the Hyundai is it is interior and exterior.
The Hyundai are a very reliable car and gas economical plus it is comfortable and spacious. Has modern features easy to use. Has a nice exterior. And I cannot wait to purchase the newer model. Motor is built strong. Body built is of hard metal not fiber. Easy to use side gears and more.

My car has turned out pretty good for such an old car, the only thing I've had an issue with is the ABS. When I first got my car (2017) the ABS and TCS lights came on and the break would buzz back at me when I used it under 20 mpg. I replaced a broken piece and it stopped buzzing and the light went off for a couple months but it then came back on, thankfully I had no issues with ABS actually working this past winter but I still worry about the light being on.

My Hyundai is very reliable. It is the second one I have owned thus far and neither has ever let me down. It starts every time I turn the key. It is great on gas and is a four wheel drive. It also has nice speakers in it. I have not had any problems but I do maintain it very well because it is so old.

The power drive in this model is quite powerful. This model also has a nice exterior as well as interior. Also has top racket you can use to attach a bike or camping equipment. I have seen the newer models and they have extremely updated the Hyundai model with more great features, comfort, speed and beautiful stylish exterior as well as interior. I would definitely purchase a Hyundai again.

This car is very low maintenance and is a sturdy car.
We bought the vehicle used in 2006 from a dealer car lot. We now have 230,000 miles on the suv. We have had very good luck with this car doing just the basic required maintenance. At this time we are getting 16 miles per hour mileage in town. The air conditioner is the only major repair we have had since we purchased in 2006. I would highly recommend the Santa Fe to anyone on a budget.

Still Running After All These Years
My 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe is a very reliable vehicle. Despite being over 17 years old, she still performs well day today having fuel efficiency, features, and a comfort level that rivals more modern vehicles. While it seems like various rusting patterns, and other signs of the vehicle's age are common across other platforms of the 2002 model year, it's hard to complain about how will the vehicle still functions.

This SUV is a death trap.
I bought the car used. Since I have bought it, I have had to replace the battery, alternator, radiator, tires, etc. All while I have owned it in less than 1 1/2 years. Now the engine is knocking and Walmart won't even do an oil change on it. I would never buy this vehicle again.

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe, 150,000 miles.
The Hyundai Santa Fe is an all wheel drive vehicle. It is a v6, and has lost of pick up. The all wheel drive does great in icy and snowy conditions. Highway mileage is decent but city mileage leaves much to be desired. Mine is an 02 and does have an oil leak. Nothing too serious but I do have to occasionally add oil. All in all it is a very reliable vehicle.

2002 Santa Fe has good an bad things about it.
It has four wheel drive, a roof rack, heated seats, but since it is so old it has had problems with the frame rusting and had to be replaced in the front. It also has started to shudder when slowing down and stopping so it will need further work on it. All other work has been mostly maintenance.

It's fun to drive! I used to own a pickup, and do not like how the cars sit so low to the ground. My Sante Fe is the perfect height.
The Gas Mileage is great. Also like how the vehicle handles when it drives. It's very comfortable and the seats fold down for maximum storage. I dislike how the seats don't level out flat when folding down, though.

Upgraded features and a paint job.
Brakes and wheel alignment it is an old car so I do not enjoy the comfort of something new and modern but it is fine it is just some minor adjustments that needs to be fixed like oil changes and such. I am happy with but it wouldn't hurt to upgrade it is features.

Great car for the mom on the go.
It is big enough to pack for vacation, but not too big to make it intimidating to drive. Have enough room for groceries and kids. It has a bad blind spot in the back which makes you have to pay better attention to your surroundings. Air conditioner works great!!

Reliable vehicle worth the money.
This car is so reliable, comfortable, and saves money. Other than regular maintenance we have had no problems. The only flaw we've had so far is the paint job, it has oxidic. We have never had major repairs so far. We really like this car and are considering buying another one.

I like my Santa Fe because it "fits" me--no climbing up or bending down to get it. It's comfortable and reliable. The only "complaint" I have is that the newer models have changed too much--I like the rear window that opens separately.

I think it's a good vehicle and would recommend the Hyundai to other people.
It's an ok vehicle it has its problems like when parts wear out. Like all vehicles when parts wear out they need to be replaced. I have 203,757 miles and it's still a good running vehicle. I am really pleased with the way the vehicle runs. I would recommend this make of a vehicle to other people because it has treated me very well.

The wide roof supports create blind spots when turning. Look carefully.

Great little SUV with fairly good gas mileage.
Best car I have ever owned. I have only had to do maintenance on the car. It was ten years before I had to replace the battery. It is in great shape. Seats five persons. Back seats lay down to put items at least 6 ft long in the back. No rust at all. Paint is coming off side mirrors but the car is sixteen years old.
